[CLOSED] Loading wifi kernel modules from postmarketos asus z00vd's firmware - Android Auto General

So, I installed PostmarketOS on an old Asus z00vd Go but I can't make wifi work.
On the chat a guy checked for me the integrity of the image and said that all files needed were already there, but that I had to load kernel modules following these instructions and adapt the kernel modules files' name of the MT6589 chipset to mines (chipset MT6580).
Although, I can't really find the wifi files in my firmware... can somebody help me look it up?
Here are the files located at /sys/firmware/devicetree/base on my Asus z00vd:

Thank you in advance.

[Q] Can someone create a log with "iw phy phy0 info" on Nexus 6 rooted?

Hi guys, this is the only place where i can find some developers with a Nexus 6.
I'm working for my university with wifi on Nexus 5 with Broadcom BCM4339 wifi chip and kernel 3.4. I've some problem that i can't fix because there are driver limitations. These limitation are the same in Samsung Galaxy S4.
Without to say everything with a long and boring explanation i asked to myself if these limitations exist on a Nexus 6, with the new broadcom wifi chip BCM4356 and kernel 3.10.
But without a Nexus 6 i can't try. And Nexus 6 is very expensive for me. I bought a Nexus 5 one month ago
The question is: there is a developer that want to execute via adb shell su the command "iw phy phy0 info" and post the entire log? I'm interested in the informations about "Valid interface combinations" (VIF) and channel/frequencies. But with the entire log is better
Obviously iw is not shipped with Android Lollipop, i compiled a version for kitkat, but it is working with Lollipop, after Pie-Patch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/fix-bypassing-pie-security-check-t2797731)).
I attached to this post the "iw" executable compiled directly from the original git repository.
Copy in "/system/bin" and set "chmod 777 /system/bin/iw" to execute this file with "iw phy phy0 info" or "iw list".
If you get an error related to "PIE" you need to flash the Pie-patch.
Please, help me
Thank you.
questions go into q&a, not into the general section.
Oh i'm sorry.
I should repost in the correct section or can someone move this post in Q&A?

when I was trying to flash new cm13 ROM from 20160513 to 20160518 it ended with error 7 and msg say"Error : it appears you are running an unsupported Baseband". please help me how to overcome from this problem. i found some threat related to this problem so flash a new zip file but after newly flashed file Baseband show "unknown".
Thanks in advance.
How about do some research before making a new thread. Even if you have only opened the page 1 of CM13 official thread you could've seen that there's announcement on top by maintainer which will lead you to his post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66834767&postcount=1367
Or you could've probably tried using search button in that thread to see such posts and find solution.

Need help with a module to set sRGB to 1 under /sys/class/graphics/fb0

Trying to create a magisk module to run a script which sets sRGB to 1 for custom roms on the OP5 which do not allow this display option but I cannot get it to work
This zip is not a magisk module.
Is what I am trying to do possible?
Attached the module for help.
The files and folders need to be in the root of the zip, not inside a folder.
Doh!
Right got that bit working but it doesn't seem to run the script.
Updated the first post with the amended zip.
Moderators please close thread I got it working now.

Stop spamming that everywhere, please. If someone that can help sees it, they'll answer. You spamming it might actually put some people off posting an answer...
You're not giving much to go on. What's "many different ways"?
Please provide more details and logs.

I'm going to answer you here instead...
You're posting in the beta development thread, it's not for general troubleshooting. Like it says in the OP, if you're posting there you're expected to have basic debugging skills.
You're posting logs about the stable release, in the beta thread...
You've created this thread about the issue. Better to keep the troubleshooting here, instead of spamming the beta thread.
That's one log. You can post many more... The Magisk debug log is useful if you have that, a logcat during boot, if possible, etc.
Please stop shouting...
Edit: Also, if you're lucky there might be something for you here: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/Magisk#hn_Bootloop

How to install ElementalX and Magisk without TWRP

I used to be able to do this with my old Pixel XL - with TWRP. I now have a Magisk rooted Pixel 5 sans TWRP.
Q: How do I install ElementalX and Magisk in that environment?
FIrst off, wrong section, second there are threads in the guide section, a little search goes a long way.

2) I have searched, here and the general Internet via Google. This thread shows that my quest has been unsuccessful. Please give me a hint as to what my search terms should be.

You don't have to be such a **** about it. This is a Question & Answer forum. OP asked a question. You can either point them to the right direction or if you're not going to be helpful, just move along.
To answer OP's question, TWRP for Pixel 5 isn't fully functioning yet. Instead, we patch the boot.img to install magisk and kernels in them. You're already rooted with magisk so to install Elemental X kernel, install EX Kernal Manager and there will be an option to flash the kernel.

Originally the thread was in the ROM and Kernel forum, and not doing the work for someone doesn't make me a *****, I could have said it less aggressively, still not a ***** though.
