Flashing through lineage recovery gave me an error E: Package is for product akatsuki but expected H9436
My device is a Japanese S0V39 flashed to an H8416 so im not sure where the H9436 came from but I managed to install the rom by extracting payload.bin using Payload Dumper and manually flashing all the images in fastboot. It works very well for a first release android 12 rom for our XZ3! Though I still have lineage recovery installed somehow even after flashing this roms boot.
Noticed some stutters here and there and microphone not working sometimes but overall battery life is the same as LineageOS 18 so I'm happy.
Thank you so much for building this!

Thought I would use another ROM from another developer but then I saw your ROM (on other phones) with good reviews so decided to go with this. Been in love with the ROM so far. I've tried to OK Google several times but no response- well, doesn't matter to me as I can still use recording though. I don't take photos on this phone and don't wanna use any other mod to mess up the ROM , doesn't matter to me either. The quality of the photos taken with this ROM is bad though. Hehehe. Never thought I'd have a chance to use android 12 on my xz3 dual

yes some people report me similar. But in the end they have their own method to install it. I can't really test everything because only have Akari right now.

I unzipped the zip file and moved to the respective folders in the system, correcting the permissions. I usually use this method to not involve magisk and root. but the Sony camera can't work.

That's a problem and this rom is no exception. I think that bug is caused by Kennel 4.9. since MartinX3 AOSP rom is built on new Kennel there is no such problem. I usually fix the audio files in system/vendor/etc. so that the sound is not distorted.

I will try it with magisk next time. because Open Camera is also quite good.

Do you think MarinX3's ROM is better for us to use daily? I thought of the ROM quite a long time ago but I saw some mix reviews.

I think this build of Hibikase is the best. the build of MarinX3 I don't think is ok for daily use, it is AOSP and lacks too much. other A12 builds have bugs, LOS can't be as smooth and beautiful as this one. (as far as I can see) ️

No, it s not that bug, the problem i had like cracking, not distorting. It s appears when you are playing a song that has strong bass

freezing video and just sound, am I the only one with such a problem? If not, how did you resolve this issue?

Introduction
13.0 version is totally based on @nexolight work, I just built LineageOS instead of CyanogenMod. The main difference is the new Theme Chooser.
14.1 is the main goal of this project, building 13.0 was only the first step.

Installation instructions
Be sure a MM stock firmware is installed on your phone.
Be sure you know what you are doing, you know to use adb and fastboot, you know to unbrick your device.
Download all the files you need and keep them at hand.
Copy gapps into sd card or into Internal Storage or a OTG usb. I used an OTG usb
unlock bootloader
install official twrp from here.
boot into twrp
make a full backup of you current rom
wipe system, dalvik, cache and data partitions. Do not wipe internal storage and sd card. Be aware wipe can be slow
reboot into bootloader either from twrp or using adb command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
flash boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and system.img
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
(if the second command doesn't give any output, stop it with CTRL-C, disconnect and reconnect the usb cable, type the command again) this works for me and usually happens when flashing from OSX, may not work for you. I take no responsibility if you damage your device.
reboot to recovery (disconnect cable and reboot using Vol+ and power)
install nano open gapps ARM64 - 6.0 (optional)
reboot into system
enjoy

Flashlight
MTP/PTP/ADB
WiFi + Tethering
Bluetooth + Tethering
Audio output (Speaker, Headphones, A2DP) / Mic
RIL (Read the bugs before you complain about signal strenght)
Backlight and LEDs
HWC (@XePeleato)
CPU and GPU are fine
Power profile (stock is somehow messed up 0o)
All the sensors
TWRP-3.0.2 Vanilla & Materialized dark

Bugs
NO Bootanimation (you can set one using the Theme Chooser, look for free theme LineUI on the Playstore to get the default lineage one)
Signal isn't correctly reported but is as fast as it should be. (When you usually have 2 bars and 0 bars are reported you still have 2 bars in practice...) #medium-low - it's annoying
USB_Tethering doesn't work yet (wifi is fine)
Mac address changes with each restart (workaround here )
Youtube (general?) video playback @60 fps doesn't work.
FM Radio (no work done so far)
14.1
Still WIP, nothing to show yet.
I'll upload sources and .img once it builds properly and boots. Don't expect it to happen soon

FAQ
Will you port stock apps?
Nope, I won't.
Can you add the X feature?
I am working to add as many useful and supported feature as I can. If a feature isn't included it probably isn't available or I don't know how to add it.
I installed the X mod and now something doesn't work, how can I solve?
Uninstall the X mod. I can't provide help on third party mods.
When will you release the next build?
Please don't ask for ETAs, I am doing this for fun (and for free) when I have time.
When will you start working on 14.1?
Look above.

BTW, a screen of phone info is available in the screenshots section.
Fixed some build issues in 13.0: brightness bug is fixed, wifi hotspot works, power profile is fixed too, wifi mac address bug fixed, LTE signal still to test ( no LTE at home ).
I am gonna upload image asap and update first post.
Now LineageOS build is as good as Cyanogenmod one, I'll start working on 14.1
Everyone loves benchmarks, or not?
i hope that youtube bug will be solved soon, i tried 2 weeks ago and it was pretty annoying for someone who watch videos a lot, especially for videos that are 60fps only in 720p and 1080p modes

well, now im on stock rom and at this time i have to have it fully functional but i can describe the problem, when you click on any video, it works only in quality modes that are on 30fps, every ressolution on 60fps not working, that means its blank black screeen but if i remember well audio was working, looked like some graphics driver related stuff, lets say video has quality options from 144p up to 1080p 60fps, with this bug you can watch this video only in 480p because every higher option is 60fps, hope i described it well
Hello sir, I read that there are bugs on youtube however I have no problem on youtube with any quality, except because it seldom freezes the image and is resolved in advance the video. I am in cm13 but I think in lineage it will be the same

Good, lots of customization, fast ROM.... until I started using Google PAY and whatsapp, while scanning codes---camera freeze.

Some issues
Hi dev: first of all I must thank you for this rom, I have been using RR roms in all the smartphones I had until today, so thank you.
Second, issues:
First, I have a little issue with sounds, when incall the volume is extremely high even in the lowest position and it starts working fine only if I put it in the upper position and then in lower position, after doing that it works fine (at least for me).
Second, native call recording does not work, it appears but button does not make anything.
Well, my phone is Realme Q, I clean-installed RR 8.5.9 from rui as base and when I installed 8.6.0 the sound problem gets worst and call recorder does not work at all.
Thanks for everything.

If you have downgraded to color OS for old custom roms, you need to be on RUI to install this ROM. RUI based newer custom ROMs are very safe to install.

This is a stable final build from the work I've done to this phone while I've been using it since my daily phone broke and until I bought a new one. Don't expect too much updates of this since there isn't too much stuff to fix, besides the crDroid team doesn't merge the newer security patches since months!
I also know that there is another thread for crDroid Nougat, but that's for an old build. This ROM contains all the source & device trees that has been made since then (and no, you can't dirty flash to this).
Needed firmware stack:
B895 (TWRP flashable)
B896 (TWRP flashable)
Known issues:
SELinux is permissive.
Watching videos at 7[email protected] is laggy on YouTube -> see them at 480p instead.
Use MagiskHide to pass SafetyNet and Google Play Store's certification.
Disable Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning in location's settings in order to fix deep-sleep issue!
Encryption.
All the other stuff not mentioned above -> working!

I haven't tried them, but they should if they work on other ROMs as well. This ROM support LTE and 3G, it's based on Viper's tree.

What is this new ROM based on? LineageOS? AOSP? Supporting Substratum? Better kernel and less latency?

crDroid is based on LineageOS, and yes, it supports substratum themes.
About battery... I felt that it was slightly better than with LOS, but not a huge difference. For such an old battery, I would suggest using Greenify in order to save battery and processes in RAM. With Greenify, I could do about 4h15mins of screen, which I think it's not bad (I've only used this phone about a month, I bought it very cheap in a second-hand shop, maybe I bought a phone with battery ****ed, who knows...).
I also made few modifications to the existing kernel that helped watching and recording videos with less lag

What is the best Viper OS or this ROM?
Note: I don't trust Lineage OS based ROMs anyway because as far as I know they don't fully support substratum themes and sometimes they don't work at all.

Hello,
so I have installed this rom and I like it so far. It is really fast and smooth, even better than stock rom and LineageOS (which was laggy). Only problem I have is that NFC is not working. So is it just me or is it generally not working in this rom?

They're different phones.
If you've flashed other alice ROMs and booted on your device, it's ok.
If not (the most possible case), then it's no use flashing this ROM.

Somehow it was my fault. I tried to get back to stock image with fastboot, and may be got something wrong with gsm module. I got back to stock image with MSMToll ( sadly works on windows only) and flashed again with the image from 20211203 - and mobile worked like a charm, then I've updated the LineageOS to the lastest image from 20211209, with encryption and SELinux enabled.
It works great!
Thank you!

I think so, yes. But better wait for the official builds. I won't provide any new builds unless there's a bug which needs to be fixed.
One thing worth noting with this build: the notification LED is way too bright, had to set it below 15% for it to appear like it did before upgrading to 20. When will 20 become official on Sony devices? Monthly updates with the security patch would be nice until it is official.

I can't answer that. The LineageOS team is still working hard on 20. No ETAs - that's the rule. ;-) I'll see if I can provide monthly updates, but no promises. You won't get a notification or OTA updates anyway because it's an unofficial build. Unofficial builds need manual updating.

Classical A/B device user error. You have to reboot to recovery after flashing rom to switch to the other slot (which is also mentioned in the official install guide @ lineage wiki).

You just could have read the official install instructions carefully to avoid that.
I have read all the information! my problem is with bootloader, it says bootloader unlock allowed : No

You cannot unlock a bootloader if it says no. And that's also mentioned in the install instructions. And apart from that jp models are not supported in this rom anyways.
