I have had my OnePlus 10 Pro for about a week now and have been experiencing unusually slow charging from the get go.
I do not use the OnePlus warp charger, I choose to charge my phone on a 10W wireless charger. I have two of these chargers and with either of them or when using the supplied cable and charging block, I never see above 250mA while charging.
The photo attached is a screenshot of Ampere after placing the phone on one of my wireless chargers and waiting around 20 minutes.
My previous OnePlus, the OnePlus 8 Pro, charges at around 870mA on both wireless chargers.
When the phone is charging, it does get warm to the touch, warmer than my OnePlus 8 Pro on the same charger.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I have attempted to open a support ticket with OnePlus, but they are not providing solutions or reasoning for why my device is charging so slowly.
My device is rooted, however, this issue existed before root and persisted after rooting.

This issue occurs even when charging by cable, with the one plus cable and wall charger that came in the box.

Still have my 8 pro in hand rn. While my 8pro LOS out performs the bloated 10 pro in crappy oos. Warp charging on the 10 pro outperformed the 8. We are talking in minutes. Both get warm during warp charge and to the hand very negligible difference in heat.
You've already answered your own question mate .
The OnePlus charger is excellent, 30 mins and you're done.
If it has to be wireless then stay on brand

It's mental. Love it
Apologies for not explaining this correctly.
I am not here to debate or complain that I am seeing slower speeds using a non-OnePlus charger.
I am here to ask if anyone else is seeing slow charging speeds on this device when compared to another device.
My OnePlus 10 Pro is charging almost 4x slower than my OnePlus 8 Pro with identical charging situations: charger, cable, power block.
According to Ampere, my OnePlus 10 Pro is charging at 220mA while my OnePlus 8 Pro on the exact same charger is charging at 820mA.
What would be causing this?
This must be some sort of hardware or software issue.
I am trying to avoid doing a full factory reset, but I cannot come up with any other ideas or things to try.

Hey no I did understand mate. I'm not personally seeing that however it's difficult to compare what experience you're having Vs ours. Plus you have your phone machine learning your habits and when to restrict the charge going through your phone (I'm assuming you haven't turned optimised charging off?)
So with that said your phones seeing a non standard charger and is probably doing the right thing, just stick with your warp charger mate, let's be honest you need it for such a small amount of time.
If you have to use another charger, turn off optimised charging.
Mine was slower compared to my 8 pro on an Apple Mac charger (80watts)
But yea probably the phone either confused or bring protective
Hi, I'm from India and I bought my OnePlus 10 Pro. It is charging quickly for me.

Hve you set your oneplus to optimise for night charging ? in that case it will trickle charge. But Seriously if you want wireless charging buy the airvooc cradle and use it with a 65 watt charger... Its lightning fast with the 80 watt charger that came with the oneplus 10. I am having some spotty results with a supervooc 65 watt charger and the airvooc cradle as its not a s fast even though it does show airvooc in the battery section. I believe the oneplus 10 pro has two batteries that charge in tandem. I tried to use my old 5 watt wireless charger but it barely managed to keep a constant battery level. So i would suggest to invest in a better wireless cradle.
The problem is that android does not report the correct ampere. It seeam to be a Problem with the dual battery system.. You must double the Value. If I measure on the usb directly then this value matches the charging current Multiplied by 2

I have the same issue at the the begining when I used old op cable that I already have. I replaced it with the cable that came in the package and strated to charge very fast. May be this is the same problem

I've seen this problem on multiple OP phones - the only solution I've found is to use a charger that can do at least 18W - anything less and charging is extremely slow. Factory reset doesn't help.

Thank you for a real reply to my issue.
I've arrived at the same discovery that you have. Factory reset twice with no luck. Sad to think this phone is an "upgrade" from my OP8 Pro. Android auto with Google maps is basically unusable since my phone dies faster than it charges through USB in my car.

This used to happen with my OP6 in my old car. Try using red cable that comes with handset.
I've the simmilar Problem with my New Oneplus 10 Pro.
AT home with the Warpcharger or my old regular IQ Charge I've nice charging speed.
Ampere told me Ranges between 1500 mAh (reg. Charger) and round about 4000mAh with Warpcharger.
But in my New car on build in usb-c Charger or wireless Charger (build-in too) not more than 180mAh.
Tried all options I've found in the phone settings but no other result.
That sucks and makes me angry.
My old blackview phone Charge in this car with round about 1500 mAh. The oneplus not.
Why? Oneplus Support cannot help.
Any Tips Form me?
Kind regards,

After a very painful month and a half of emailing back and forth I eventually was able to send my device to the OnePlus service center. About a week later my phone showed up on my porch unannounced with no paperwork on what was done. I again had to through the pain of trying to communicate with their "support" and have just recently found out they replaced the main board and I think the battery in my phone.
Absolutely nothing has changed. Experiencing about the same speed you are when charging in my car. No difference before or after the service.
I am still fighting with OnePlus to determine why this is an issue. Also trying to return this device for a refund but I'm having very little success on either issue.

Huge temperature difference. Although I am on a different phone, my pixel 6 pro stops charging at 104 F.... Maybe the charge is being throttled secondary to the phone's temperature. You should consider allowing the phone to cool to see if the temp is playing a role.

This could be a reason after extended charging, however, my issue starts from the second I plug my phone in. Ampere gives you CPU temp while charging and I am generally under 35C (95F) when charging.
I've done everything I can think of to account for any external reason for poor charging. I am convinced the issue is the device.
I have attempted a few tricks from the past by using the magisk module "Advanced Charging Controller" (ACC) and tweaking some charging settings but have had no luck.

Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I made a thread about my Mi Mix NOT detecting on any PC despite trying different Type C usb cords and the factory one.
I've never really timed how long it takes to charge my phone and recently I downloaded this Ampere app that measures the voltage and mah.
My Mix was at 40% and I plugged it in and left it in for 20 min and checked the app. It said something like 3.7 voltage and charging at 120mah minimum and 190mah maximum.
From what I'm reading, thats really bad.
So I plugged my phone in with an Anker Type C usb and a charging block from an LG 5.
Phone was now charging at 1600mah ish.
I'm assuming there is an issue with either my charging equipment AND / OR the charging port of my Mix. I've already ordered a new charging port from aliexpress 3+ weeks ago because of my PC unrecognized issue.
Anyway I just want to confirm that getting 120mah- 190mah on the stock charger is NOT normal?
I've ordered this https://www.amazon.ca/AUKEY-Charger-Samsung-Qualcomm-Certified/dp/B00RJO6AHM
and another Anker Type C cord to replace.

I don't have it with me, but I think the original Chinese charger that comes with the Mix is a 2.5A/5V one.
I've never used it, don't trust the Chinese chargers, rather have used an original Xiaomi EU approved (CE marked) charger that came with a Redmi Note 4.
That charger is "only" 2.0A/5V, so you don't get any "fast charging". But the Mix will still get fully charged in max 3 hours, which is fine for me.
And I figure the battery will last longer, it gets quite hot when charging at higher rates.
I know because I tested on a Mi Note 2 which came with a 3.0A EU approved charger. That charger works fine, really fast, and I trust it from a safety point of view - much heavier and thicker than the Chinese one.
But I charge the Note 2 with the 2.0A charger also, to spare the battery.
Normal charging current is 1500mA and up, depending on the chargers capacity. It will be less towards the end of the charging cycle, when the battery is nearly full, and sometimes also in the beginning, for some reason.
Don't understand why, never figured that out.

well it sounds like my factory charger is messed. 190ma when it should be getting at least 1000ma. I hope that the Aukey charger I ordered is safe for it, I've done some reading with other xiaomi phone owners and they've purchased it but I haven't seen a Mi mix owner review it. It says its CE approved.

Aukey has a good reputation, but I prefer the Xiaomi original EU approved chargers, just because they are "Xiaomi". (and I am located in the EU, of course.)
There "might" be some sort of intelligent interface built in that especially suits the Xiaomi phones.
No particular reason to believe so, just color me superstitious.

That can and does happen on certain custom ROMs and rapid charge doesn't kick in all the time. I can also say I had this issue on lg g5 and the charger proved to faulty on this occasion. So try the new port with old charger see how it goes. If no improvement try a different charger, the ones that come with the phone are very good. IMO

the new charger and cord are getting me fast charge now!
Bought a CHOETECH 50W 6-Port Desktop Charger last year and attached it to my bedside table; one of the best purchases I've ever made; quickcharge 3 on two ports and one power adapter in place of the 3 or 4 individual chargers I used to have. Bargain.
Does anyone know/Think that the OnePlus warp or warp charge 30 power adapter would work with the Realme X2 pro ?
I know it will not be as fast but I can get one for free from oneplus referral points and it would be UK 3 pin.
Realme says the phone is compatible with other charging technologies like quick charge.
I will test it with my Oneplus 6T charger once I receive the phone and of it works I will get another one from Oneplus

I need a UK adapter but have purchased one so will be using the vooc charge occasionally when needed,
As these batteries only have certain number of cycles I would prefer to charge the phone with something else on a daily basis.
I'm interested in maintaining the battery for a few years so would like to keep it somewhere in the 45 to 85 range which has worked well for me with all recent phones I've owned

I don't think it's necessarly bad for the phone but I don't trust it either. I have read in many reports it is quick charge compatable and I've heard that the OnePlus dash charge has worked also. I personally have no issue with these slower charge speeds and actually prefer them.
I will use the 50 watt in times I need it otherwise I will use the other ones
There is 2 batteries in the X2 pro and from what I understand the 50w is split between them both.... So it's more like 25w per battery as apposed to a single battery taking a full 50w. I personally wouldn't worry about it and enjoy the rapid charging.

Not necessarily, whether there's two or one battery, each will need to be maintained to some degree or they will degrade
I always charge it over the night with an old and slow adapter from my LG g4, if I need a boost, I use the vooc One, did the same with the previous huawei mate 10 pro for 2 years and battery is still as good as the first day [emoji6]

I got a warp charge 30T charger from OnePlus but am yet to try it. Ive decided to just stick with the 50 watt for now,I can tell you that my OnePlus 6T charger worked fine, charging at full speed around 27 watt(or whatever it is)
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
With the supplied charger and cable the charging time is very impressive ("Turbo Charge") with a normal QC3.0 charger charge time is still very good but comparable to most other QC3.0 devices.
Something to note is the device does get noticeably warm when using the supplied charger in the "Turbo Charge" mode.
Takes about an hour for me with included charger.

That's normal because you're not using it, if using while charging it will be hot as your running apps, tasks etc... at the same time. This will increase the heat as sensors will be running also.
Has anyone tried to use other cables that has the same turbo charge effect like the included cable? The included cable is too short, usually I use 2 meters long cable.
I have tried the baseus 5A 40W cable but it only support quick charging and not turbo.
I've tested charging wattage using original 33W charger and original USB cable via specialized USB tester, and I noticed it provides only 25W (about 9.6V/2.65A). It shows "Turbo Charge" indeed, but it's still only 75% efficient. Anyone care to explain this? Is this normal? I've read that only Zoom edition can be charged at 33W, so I expected non-Zoom edition will charge at least with 30W. I tried two other USB cables, and still only 25W. Later today I will try to charge it with Blitzwolf 30W PD charger and see how it goes with that one...
I haven't really tested charge speeds. So far the battery life has been exceptional and the main reason I opted for this phone without the high res screen and refresh rate, as see battery as more essential. I would much prefer charging at a slow speed to preserve battery life. A good app for this is AccuBattery. It measures how many mAh's being charged and discharged after each charge and keeps a graph. It will estimate battery health also.
Yeah I know about AccuBattery, I've been using it in the past. But a real physical tester device is always more precise. I do sw/hw development for a living so I know for a fact. Indeed, battery life is very good because optimized MIUI and pretty big battery, but it would be even better if charging speed was also up to the specs. Meanwhile I've tested charging speed using Blitzwolf 30W PD2.0 charger (K30Pro should support PD3.0 and be backward compatible), and situation is even worse - only about 15-16W at QC3.0 I believe. So no Turbo Charge was initiated. I mean 25W with original charger is still good, but I expected advertised charging speed. I'll do more tests when I catch some time.
Thats normal, because it don't charge all the time with 30W. Compare it with WARP Charge 30T it is faster. OnePlus 8 got 30W and 4300 mAh, F2 Pro is faster with bigger bettery but it's almost the same.
How old is your Blitzwolf charger?
I know it shouldn't charge @30W above 80-90%, but sure it should at 20-ish where I'm at about now. It's also not even cool to the touch, so there's no apparent reason to slow it to 25W. My Blitzwolf charger is about a year old, but I only used it couple of times, so it should be as good as new.

Batteries don't like heat but it is actively monitored and it will slow down charging when it crosses temperature threshold.
That's why I mentioned my phone is not even cool to the touch (let alone hot), so my case is not temperature related. I'll try to charge it while turned off, though it was pretty much in idle doing nothing when I did the test, ie. not stressed at all by any factor. All in all, I mean if everyone else gets 25W out of original charger, I won't bother anymore. Also, if it charges from 10-90% in around 1 hour, I won't waste any more time on this either, since it's good enough for me. I was just curious why it charges at 25W, when 30W (and 33W for Zoom edition) was advertised. Altough it wouldn't be the first time something was advertised at launch, and not achievable in real-case scenario.

Fun fact: phone doesn't charge when powered off?! That's a first. Is it just me, or am I getting too old? For the whole time I'm talking about my Redmi, not to confuse it with Poco, if that matters at all. Maybe Poco works differently.
On my Huawei device you also can not turn off an charge but this starts with Android 10.
takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes for me, I think the high temperature here, summer season, is the reason for this slow charging speed.
From 20-100% in about an hour. Few minutes less actually. Battery is big, that's all ok.
F2 turn off and are dead with 0% (can't turn on). Timer 60 min. and after 60 min. I got 96% with original charger. The phone don't turn on, like it always do.
@Burs a friend told me "on my Anker charger I only can use PD over the third usb port, with the type c port it will charge over QC 3.0 and not over PD" maybe thats why you get ~16W?
When my Redmi was turned off completey, it was hooked up to my USB tester for about a minute. I doubt it would trigger after some minutes, and only then start charging. For the whole time it was connected, I was getting 5V / 0.015A readings on the display. That's pretty much USB tester drawing the power from the phone battery, not the charger! So that would mean charging was completely disabled making the phone behave as a power bank lol. Weird enough, right?
My Blitzwolf charger has only two ports. One PD2.0 (USB-C) and one QC3.0 (USB-A). I've tried three sets of USB cables (one even 5A) on both ports, and best I could get out of it was about 15W. I think I'll have to order another one with PD3.0 and Turbo Charge compatibility.
Heh I'm planning on just using my old 1A slow chargers because they're dotted around the house and work, will probably not even plug fast charger in. Magnetic cables are just so convenient.
Hello there! I wanted to open this thread to ask what's your opinion on proper charging habits with this Si02 battery that our Mi 11 Ultra's are equipped with. I have been reading a bit on the issue, but all I can find is comparisons between ASM batteries (lead based) and Si02 batteries.
Should we be using the same 15/20% to 80% rule with Si02 batteries?
The most I could find is that they are way more resilient to 80% DoD's than other batteries, so perhaps we can move to a 10 to 90% approach with them?
Cheers
I don't like leaving home without 100%
Replacement batteries are cheap but you lose waterproofing when you install one yourself which is a good reason to take care of it if possible
It's so hard NOT to reach 100% with the 65W xiaomi charger that i have
I also observed another thing, when charging with a slower xiaomi charger ( the one that came with the mi9 ) the temperature gets higher until it reaches the 90% mark than the 65W charger.
This was clearly observed via the Accubattery pro app that i use.
I'm curious to see hot it will be with the wireless (80W) charger.
Cheers !

Given the fan the 80W charger has, I take it will probably run quite cool..!!
I am personally also using the 67W charger and even tho it gets hot, accubattery shows it as being completely fine.
That charging speed is amazing, and indeed, it rlly is hard not to reach 100%. I was using a 33W charging phone before and it was already hard to some point not going over 80-90% .
I am personally going to try keeping the DoD between 60% to 70% if possible, but I feel like this batteries deal with DoD better than Li-ion batteries
If you want to control your charging/discharging, I found an app on Play called Plug Sound. It lets you change a lot of system sounds, but will also play a warning sound when battery reaches High/Low charge %age.
The plugged in/unplugged sounds work well with my wireless charger so I know I've positioned the phone correctly.
Cheers

Or, if you're rooted, you can install this app from the Play Store, that limits the charge to a set percentage. You can also find it on this thread. I've been using it on my OnePlus 6 and it works great, stopping the charge at 80% and resuming it if it falls under 78%. It's the first thing I'm going to install when I receive and root my Mi 11 Ultra.
This is concerning charging, (or lack there of)
Just bought a T-Mobile OnePlus 10 pro.
I also have a OnePlus 8t. Everything works flawless on my 8t, including warp charging.
A little background:
I had an s22 ultra but battery life was embarrassing to say the least. That being said I did some research and landed on the OnePlus 8t renewed from Amazon.
Now keep in mind a lot of times I am in my vehicle more than in one place so in that case I need to focus on car charger instead of wall charge since the phone comes with a wall charger already.
So that being said I was using a QC 3.0 fast charger in my Samsung devices and that worked fine, but when I tried to use it on my new 8t it kept constantly going between charging, fast charging, charging, fast charging. This got me researching and I found out OnePlus phones are not compatible (for lack of words) with QC, so I bought a warp charger. BINGO!!!! that fixed the charge cycling between charge and fast charge, it now chargers 10%-100% in about 33-35 mins. Problem solved.
Now, fast forward to a brand new OnePlus 10 pro from T-Mobile, I figure the same warp charger with is supervooc/warp charge compliant would work, to my surprise it is doing the EXACT same toggling back and forth from charging, supervooc charge, charging, supervooc charge.
I have EXHAUSTED N looking and researching and trying to find a solution but to no avail I have pretty much exhausted everything, that's what brought me here.
So my question after all this is, doed ANYONE have ANY idea why or what I can do to make it consistently supervooc charge instead of this constant back and forth charging, because anywhere from 6-19 hours to charge is stupid and I'm not kidding when I say it literally takes that long, this is why I'm frustrated, because warp/supervooc isn't working correctly.
The car charger I am using is
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096MVBPW5/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_AGVWCR3SJP9ZVJMWA635
And works flawless on my 8t, no issues.
Also from research supervooc and warp can be used on the OnePlus 10 pro just fine, there is nothing that says the 10 pro takes a different charger.
I've also tried 4 different other car chargers and cords, all are brand new and I get the same results exactly
Signed
Very aggrevated and frustrated
Try toggling charge settings, use what works.
If flashing between modes something isn't right... it's in default fail mode.
The cable and brick must be protocol compatible and working properly. Cables can fail and still "work".
Improper or "dirty" AC input including line rf from other devices or heavy inductive loading from inductive motors. Improperly wired outlet.

It's a day old phone so ports are all clean.
The wall charger works fine, it stays at super fast charge constantly.
It's the car charger part that is the issue.
It's not the car charger or the ports in my vehicle,.because the 8t chargers fine on the car charger.
This 10 pro also chargers on the car charger, because I do get supervooc but.... It cycles between that and normal charging. So while it works, it also does not work correctly.
I have toggled every possible charge setting in the phone, with no change.
Again the wall charger works, the car charger works as well but not correctly.
I get the same results in 4 different chargers.
You might try to turn off some heavy apps when you are trying to charge that fast, it can affect it.

It's the car charger it seems. It's not following needed protocols or it's getting "dirty" power.
The automobile electrical power distribution system is generally a very noisy place. DC motors, the ignition system, fuel injection system and more. Onboard critical systems are harden to protect and isolate them from this interference.
Try taking a twisted (6-10 twists) per foot heavy gauge pair (#8-10 gauge) of stranded wires directly from the battery to the lighter plug. Ground and V+ with a fuse near the battery. Run it away from the ignition/injector circuits and at right angles if it has to cross them. The twisted pair with grounding wire acts as a shielded pair.
This is over the top, but unless you check the power at the plug with an oscilloscope you won't know what you're getting. This is one way to help ensure clean power to the charger.

So, that being that case, and I'm not saying it is or not, nor am I being argumentative in any way, but why is it the OnePlus 8t phone has zero issues with the same setup.
Both are 65 watt charger, both are OnePlus and same warp charging, yet the 10 pro doesn't work correctly while the 8t does.
I know the 10 pro does indeed charge correctly, because the phone has no issue with the wall charger.
The car charger is indeed a vooc warp charger so it's not a non warp charger.

Charging issues can be perplexing. I chased my tail for days a while back only to realize I had a battery failure. That should've been pretty straight forward
One thing that comes to mind though is if the display is on, fast charging disengages.

Yeah this is by far the oddest thing I've run into.
I had it with my 8t but......that was due to I was using a QC 3.O charger. Asking around I found out 1+ isnt compatible with QC, so I bought a 65 watt warp car charger and bingo that resolved it.
Now with this 10 pro I get the same wonky up and down. Kinda less me to believe that perhaps a 65 watt charger isn't enough and the 10 pro needs more. Just a speculation on my part though.
What I do know is just common deduction and reasoning, 2 proclaimed 65 watt devices, 65 watt charger..... One works and one has issues. That tells me that the device is the only common denominator

It may just be a defective brick. I always use the stock Samsung brick/cable (in my case) in part to make troubleshooting easier. In fact though they are inexpensive and long lived.
The cable length may be a factor, stick to a 3 foot maximum length. A cable failure is the most common cause of charging and data issues even if it appears to work normally at times.

No it's not a brick, it's a car charger.
If it was defective, the 8t wouldn't work either. Both phones use the same charge technology, so defective means it won't work on any of the phones
Both phones max of 65watt charging regardless of inside a place or inside a car. If the charger were bad it wouldnt work on anything

You missed my point. Obviously something is different. You need to determine what...
