Question GT NEO 3 vs GT 2. Which would be better considering the pros and cons of GT2. - Realme GT 2

Hi Everyone. I am planning to buy one of these devices.
Talking about GT2, saw multiple reviews saying that there is issue with mic quality while recording video in GT2. I also saw a review video, where it sounded muffled. Some are also mentioning about display quality issue. Good thing is Natural colours in Photos, and OIS in 4K recording.
NEO 3 cons, as per my research have been, heating while recording video, and High saturation in photos. Also no OIS in 4K video recording.
Please suggest your opinion. Both are coming at approx same prices in my country.

I would say better to go with GT 2 because of the 3 year update cycle, unless video mic recording is a major concern for u.

Also ther is the Snapdragon in the GT 2. Even if dimensity is said to be better , I think apps are more optimized for Snapdragon due to there market share.
And there are like intel on PC. It's always the safest choice

Could someone who has the Nokia 8 comment on the quality of the audio recording the OZO system? Especially compared to other modern phones like note 8 HTC U11 LG V30? It's hard to find this kind of comparisons because the phone is not available in many countries...

I like to buy the best photo phone - is P30 Pro for me?

I like to buy the best photo phone - is P30 Pro for me?
I don't care for nothing like NFC and so on....
HELLO
Do You think P30 Pro is now the best photo making phone?
Is it also the best video making phone? Cause in videos Samsung tand to be the king here
I have Samsung Galaxy S8, will I be happy with:
1) photos of P30 Pro
2) videos of P30 Pro
?
How about the world situation with Huawei Phones?
I don't know anything about it. Shall I be calm and go head buy the phone?
S10+ makes worse pics than P30Pro in my opinion
Ive had this phone for over two weeks. I think the photo quality is good in most conditions. Then again I'm coming from a oneplus 6t. As for video the Sony xperia 1 seems to be the best gathered from reviews. I would say this is the best vetsitile camera. Low light conditions and 10x zoom no other phone can compare. Day to day shot this phone has impressed me. For me personally I bought this phone for battery life and camera and the fact performance is just as good if not better then top flagships
Photo quality is great, but battery life is amazing
I came from a S9+ and honestly... In a overall situation, I think that my old phone took better pics with the GCam app... The sharpness was higher, especially from pics of people.
In video, I also prefer the Samsung. When I try to record a video, the focus is in the most of time searching for a focal point, even if is in it face!
Isn't that P30 PRO is a bad phone, but in overall I prefer the S9+ with GCam.
You can only record videos in 4k 30 FPS which is a bummer. If you want the best video making phone, I'd suggest LG V40 or V50 (V40 has a limit of like 10 minutes in 4k 60FPS, not sure about the V50 though). Otherwise you can wait for the upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. Those phones should have 4K60FPS recording.
As for photos, the P30 can definitely take some amazing pics and has a great night mode (although it doesn't work for selfies like Pixel's Night Sight. Just a small thing to note.)

GCam is truly magical, I wish it was possible to port it for Kirin devices.
Im a mate20x owner but i can that all Huawei phones are extremely inconsistencd when it comes to taking photos. I think the main issue is the discrepancy between the viewfinder and the final photos. Most of the the times the picture will have diffferent exposure than the viewfinder and that will introduce tons of issues when taking point and shoot photos.
Also, the skin tones is really bad and seems to target Asian audience, i wish there was a way to edit them like similar to selfies.
Tldr, highly inconsistent software that you cant depend on when taking point and shoot photos.

Photo Quality vs. P30 Pro when using GCam app?

Hi all,
I'm about to buy a new phone and to me photo quality is priority #1.
The P30Pro wins most comparisons (is ranked #1 in DxO), and blows away the competition in low light. According to this review, the difference is abysmal. But the Mi9 has very similar specs. I'm wondering if P30Pro's advantage is mostly due to software and, if so, if Google Cam's port to Mi9 would close the gap between the 2 cameras in low light situations.
I have downloaded some samples but have not been able to gauge the difference between the Mi9/GCam and the P30Pro for low light. If the difference is not great I would gladly buy the Mi9 (cheaper and better support where I am).
Can anyone weigh in on this?
Thanks!
Mi 9 has a capable and decent camera for sure
I compare to xsmax and i gladly realize that mi9 is not only on par with apples flagship, its even better
P30 Pro has much more advantage than software, in Hardware it has RYYB sensor, which capture much more light than an average or flagship sensor, thereby producing a great LowLight Image. Plus it has ToF sensor, though it doesn't have a literal day to day use, but it helps AI to produce unseen objects in night by providing 3D values. So, I don't think Mi9 or any other phone can achieve such great Night Shot. Plus if you look at DxO Marks Mobile (though it's not always true), Mi9 couldn't even beat Huawei P20Pro, so P30Pro is no where near to get beaten. And it's a sad thing, that Mi flagships catch the current trend a bit late, but can't complain about the quality it's giving @ such an affordable price, plus their phones are highly customisable.
But, only Mix Series can beat the P Series, if Xiaomi upgrades their Sensors to a new height
I have found this video on YouTube that doesn't directly compare de P30 Pro to the Mi9 with GCam, but does compare the Mi9+GCam with the S10. Give a pretty good idea of what kind of low light performance we get with the Mi9+GCam
The P30 Pro is indeed in a different league.
Thanks everyone!
Check this out... Mi9 kills p30pro in video recording... even in some Photo shots IMO.
Indeed! The stuttering in the p30 is so annoying.
What's the focal length equivalent for the wide angle on the Xiaomi Mi 9 though? GSMArena says 13mm, DxO says 17mm, and I've seen 15mm mentioned somewhere too.

Samsung S9 vs Huawei P20 PRO?

Hello there,
My main phone just broke, and for now I can't afford a recent flagship, although I have two options for my budget. (both the same price)
As the title says, I have to choose between a Huawei P20 PRO [128 gb / 6 gb RAM] and a Samsung Galaxy S9 [Exynos 64 gb/ 4gb RAM] (not plus).
So, I would like to ask you if I can get some guidance, I have read reviews and watched a lot of videos, but I'm still not sure...
I'm interested in a reliable device, a day battery for me is enough, a great all rounder camera in any condition.
I just have some concerns about the Huawei device, no OIS, no headphone jack and no Micro SD slot is a really turn off for me, but I would like to know if the experience overall compensate this. For the Samsung, I have seen that night or low light pictures are not as good as the Huawei (if any of you have switched between these two), and so is the battery (3000 mAh vs 4000 mAh).
Thanks in advance, I would really appreciate your answers.
Hi there, I actually owned the Samsung S9 but it was the Plus version. I wanted to get rid of the P20 PRO but I was very disappointed by the Exynos processor. I could not get 1 day of battery with it no matter how many apps I disabled. I learned then that the Exynos processors are not good when it comes to power consumption, they eat the battery up so fast. Also, the night photos were very very bad with the Samsung. The photos taken during day time were also bad whem zooming in full resolution. They had a weird pencil drawing texture. The only thing I liked about the S9 was the smooth zoom and the video quality. However I went back to the P20 PRO. Although the P20 PRO does not have the OIS in 4K mode, I learned to live with it and bought a Feyu Tech hand stabilizer. Combined with the Open Camera software, the P20 PRO is a great phone for filming. But only if you shoot in manual mode, auto mode tends to give noticeable fluctuations in exposure. Also, the sensor size really helps when shooting raw photos. You can crop so much from them and still get clear results thanks to the 40mp sensor.
As a person who lives in a region where Samsung sells the Exynos version of their devices, I can tell you that they are pure garbage and it's a scam that they are priced the same as the Snapdragon devices.
I used Samsung for many years and Exynos devices are one on the main reasons I switched.
Huawei are not flawless, but unless you are sure you can't live without rooting your phone, it's worth to consider.
P20 Pro will work faster than S9, it will last full day with no issues and will give you better photos in most cases.
Yes, you lose the headphone jack, it's a bummer, but you learn to live without it (future is now, baby). You can't expand the storage, but you get double for the same price and there are cheap/free cloud solutions, so worth checking if they suit your needs. The UI is not perfect, but compared to Samsung I'm not sure what's worse.
P.S. Did you check OnePlus devices at the same price point?

Whatsapp video OIS ?

Hi all, OIS or Eis not working while video recording over whatsapp, any way to enable it ? Thanks.
First of all there is no ois for Rog phone 2, then coming to eis, it's of no use. So you won't feel any difference even though there is eis. If you have shaky hands it's better buy some OnePlus phones. They have ois in almost all phones.
