That's good to know! Thanks.

Thank you so much for this Official Build. I'm using it as a daily driver.
Will May build come out?

Before flashing the rom, here's some bugs I've faced (will update as they come up, could be because of the kernel and not the rom itself):
Restoring from a backup on Google results in fingerprint not working for screen unlock. Restore at the setup on first startup or after continuing setup from the notification, same result. Fingerprint does work for payment apps.
Really jumpy adaptive brightness.
Cannot file transfer in USB, in ROM and recovery. USB controlled by setting stuck to "this device", won't switch. Only way to flash for me was to adb sideload. SD card or OTG might be easier.
Unable to flash twrp to ramdisk as of now, system/data partition is only available after format data in twrp.
And for the not bug but annoying during flashing, there's no recovery partition. Recovery is loaded into the boot partition. And there's two fricking slots. It's nice that we can have two recoveries, TWRP and crdroid, but annoying nonetheless.
Ported over from MIUI Global 13.0.9.0, I'd stay with MIUI and wait for the kernel to be released if I knew the drawbacks beforehand.

Same bugs as above, including:
Stock camera app broken
Personal pet peeve, derpfest recovery doesn't allow switching slots
Can't get SD card to work. I setup the SD card in SPES as portable storage, format, move it to another Android (RN3), copy a file from pc to RN3 through file transfer mode, shows up in files app, SD card back to SPES and asks for a format to use the SD card. (It sucks that there's no file transfer nor a way to send files from PC to SPES using an SD card. Don't have a type c OTG lying around)
Plus points:
Great idle battery management so far, attached a pic below. Haven't seen deep sleep after setting up all of my apps, hope disabling a few wakelocks will increase idle time further (faq about wakelocks in this, there's a guide linked in that post)
Unlimited photos storage, toggle to show device as pixel by default
Change ambient display notification style to that of AOD, it's really clean if you don't want notifications filling the lockscreen
Turn off volte icons
Refresh rate toggle in quick settings

The first option flashes the current recovery you are using to ramdisk, while the second option allows you to pick the recovery img you want to flash to ramdisk, it can be twrp, orangefox, or any other recovery img.

If you set the setting "wake the lock screen with notifications", then when a notification arrives and the screen lights up, the lock screen wallpaper is not displayed.

Use this area to ask anything you want related to CM-14.1,
but try not to spam everyone, always search for an answer before.
General Questions & Answers
Is root access included into CM ?
Yes. Go into Settings, About Phone. Tap "Build number" 7 times.
Go back, open Developer options. Change "Root access" option.
Do not use SuperSU unless you are sure, creates booting issues.
Read more about it : Here.
Is the ROM suited for daily usage ? Google Apps compatible too ?
Yes completely. Nightlies and OpenGApps recommended.
Can I flash CyanogenMod NIGHTLY and UNOFFICIAL without wipes ?
Yes you should be able to.
Phone and telephony apps crash after updates ?
Due to the databases upgrades to support CM-13.0 -> CM-14.1 migrations,
the telephony databases may require to be deleted and rebuilt during the CM-14.1 bringup.
Backup your relevant phone data (SMS, Calls, ...), delete the following paths and reboot
Code:
/data/data/com.android.providers.telephony
/data/user_de/0/com.android.providers.telephony
/data/misc/profiles/cur/0/com.android.providers.telephony
/data/misc/profiles/ref/com.android.providers.telephony
Is the device encryption supported ?
State unknown. If you're coming from an older ROM
please read the details here : a07afb9660a86f702066003b8e81ab63789d1660
When USB connected to a computer, I can't access the storage ?
The phone is in charge-only mode by default on Nougat,
due to a stronger security logic regarding unauthorised data access.
Swipe down the notifications and change the USB mode.
I can't access the ROM's recovery with Volume-
You can either flash the boot.img from the newer Releases with "fastboot flash boot boot.img" or FlashTool,
or follow the instructions of the TWRP Recovery installation to update from TWRP.
Against advices, I upgraded without GApps and now it crashes. Any way without factory reset ?
Yes there is, but nothing assures you'll manage to do it fully & preserve all your data...
Once booted, keep saying Ok to all "Unfortunately, ... has stopped",
pull-down the notifications panel, press the Settings icon,
go in Apps, menu, Show System, scroll to Setup Wizard (green Android logo),
Permissions, and activate Contacts + Telephone.
Later, some Play Store apps may need reinstalling.
If not ok, try this : CM Wiki
If still not, then I advise a clean factory-reset reinstallation...
The AOSP Keyboard does not support swipe gestures ?
Unfortunately the sources for swipe gestures are not available
and Google still requires their prebuilt library to be there for AOSP Keyboard.
Download the following libjni_latinimegoogle.so API 23 from OpenGApps
and push it to /system/lib/libjni_latinimegoogle.so.

The ROM supports f2fs only for /data and /cache. /system is formatted in ext4 willy-nilly due to block-based flashing (a new method used to pack & flash ROM's since Lollipop).

Is f2fs recommended for Data and Cache partition?

It is Android with GO configuration. But there is low-ram patcher that adrian made to make ROM low-ram or disable low-ram(disable GO configuration).
I can't see my files of my micro SD card , any idea ? ?
Screenshots of the problem:
*EDIT* -- SOLUTION--
My micro sd-card was in exFAT file system. I backup the files on my computer. Put the card in my SP and format it under storage tab on Lineage settings. When it's done, the system ask you how you want to use the micro-sd card; I choose external storage option. Open the file manager "File", and you can see the files on the micro sd-card.
I put my micro sd-card on my computer and I noticed the card was formatted in FAT32. So, "File" manager can't show you the files on your micro sd when the filesystem is in exFAT.

Unofficial TWRP 3.4.0.0 For Galaxy note 7 FE (N935X)
Disclaimer:
I do not own this device, however i work on the S7/S7E and there was enough requests for a FE support. so here we are.
This TWRP has been tested on 2 devices so far, it fixes mounting issues, and is based on new device trees. This should pave the way for other S7 developers to join in and add support to the FE since its not that difficult.
My custom kernel (Cronos) and Floyd Q Rom will make it to this thread once they are validated more.
Thanks to @butchieboy and Đỗ Gia Huy for testing
Also moving forward with this thread, you take full responsibility of any modifications done towards your device.
Features: :
Code:
- built from latest Pie source
- built from android-9.0 recovery sources
- fully compatible with Android 8.*/9.0/10.0
- Full F2FS Support for data and cache
- Full support for FLoydQ ROM
- Built with Busybox and resetprop
Downloads:
N935X (N935F/FD/S/L/K) : Download
Instructions:
Odin
Download latest Odin zip from Here
Download and install Samsung Drivers (if you have them installed you can skip this step)
Go to settings/Developer options and enable OEM unlock (If you don't see developer settings, go into Settings/About phone/Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer options menu)
Download TWRP_*.tar
Switch off the phone
Use Home + Volume down + Power to enter Download Mode and connect the device to usb
Open Odin and untick autoreboot in "options" tab. Also make sure that your device is detected
Put TWRP_*.tar.md5 file into AP tab
Click Start
When Odin shows "PASS", take your device in your hands, disconnect the usb cable and press simultaneously the Home + Volume down + power until the Download mode pop-up shows
Press volume DOWN (so the phone reboots) then quickly press Home + VolumeUp + Power until the TWRP screen shows up
If it didn`t worked, redo the steps from #1 being more careful. and faster
TWRP (If you have a previous twrp installed)
Download TWRP_*.img, push it into phone storage (or external sdcard if thats not avalible), choose install image in your current recovery, navigate to downloaded *.img file, select it, select to flash as recovery.
After booting in TWRP download and flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1 zip to disable data partition encryption
If for any reason you fail to install TWRP multiple times/different methods due to RMM Lock / KG State, make sure you check this thread
Rooting and Internal Storage:
Finally, if you want to be able to read/write to the internal storage, you must format it to clear encryption, take a backup of your stuff before hand.
Go to TWRP > Wipe > Format Data > Type YES.
your data is now usable. if you didnt flash noverity-opt-encrypt or MagiskRoot your data will be encrypted again.
If you want to root your device now, simply download the latest magisk and flash it in your new recovery.

F.A.Q
Q: TWRP can't mount data partition, what to do?
A: Make sure you formatted data partition.
Q: Can,t find OEM Toggle, RMM Locked
A : Read this thread
Q: How to format data partition?
A:
Q: Phone is showing only Samsung logo
A: Make sure you have the latest samsung stock firmware installed (to be on latest bootloader and modem combo)
Q: Why do i need to format data partition?
A: Because old rom encrypted your data partition and new rom can't decrypt and use that content / root needs access to data partition to place misc files / phone not booting after flashing root until data partition gets formatted.
Q: How to Use F2FS ?
A : This requires you to be on Floyd ROM and the latest FE CronosKernel build. otherwise you wont be able to boot. Follow these steps
1) Wipe > advanced wipe > Data > CHANGE > F2FS (Your entire internal storage will be wiped out!)
2) Reboot and you will have DATA as F2FS, the same can be done to CACHE as well. Do not do it to SYSTEM
P.S : Again, make sure BOTH your ROM and KERNEL support F2FS.
Please let me know what issues you find in this TWRP, i am aware it boots, backsup and flashes zips. but do let me know if USB / MTP works as expected or if it needs further work.
I will be working on adding FE Support to all my exynos8890 projects moving forward. hopefulyl putting some life in this forum

Could you try to flash a pie rom while having my Q rom installed ?
the script is there to change /system_root mount point back to /system . which is due to recent TWRP changes
i think the script is erroring due to line endings, but im not sure. let me know if the ROM flashed.
for System backup always use the system image format while dealing with android 10. ill update you if twrp pushes any more updates to this
The only Pie roms that we had for FE caused major issues. Not sure if anyone even uses them there was 1 I think. Developer threw a rom together that would throw malware on your device, lock it up and made device unusable then vanished without fixing anything. So not sure if anything is out there and really don't want to update my bootloader.

ananjaser1211,may I ask you to build a core for SM-N930X???...I will be grateful.
I have released my cronos kernel for Pie
For a feature list , they are mentioned on this thread here
So now you can use the same kernel from Q on pie ROMs if you choose so.

BUGS:- bluetooth ear/headphones do not work workaround- ( go into phh treble settings misc features and enable force-disable a2dp offload)
If bluetooth crashes your system disable media recommendations under Sound & Vibration > Media > Show media recommendations
mtp not working
sim 1 incoming and outgoing does not work (you can revieve calls and call but you wonth hear anything nor will your mic go trying to fix) (workaround is to put your sim into slot 2)
offline charging don't work, it would keep looping the charging screen (May happen, may not happen, if it happens to you, just press vol down and power everytime you want to charge your phone to reboot it to system. Charge only in SYSTEM and RECOVERY, as prolonged charging screen loop can cause burn-in.
Instructions on how to install (read carefully):
1. Make sure you already have your bootloader unlocked, TWRP flashed.
2. Unpack the "xz" or "zip" archive and put the .img file onto the sd card or internal (if you dont have a sd card do step 3 then transfer the img file to your phone)
3. In TWRP head to factory reset format type yes and hit enter
4. Flash the img file (as system obviously)
4.1 Install the custom kernel that I recommend, most stable and not going to mess up your device (optional)
5. install magisk (the one linked below only, others WILL NOT WORK) (optional)
6. Reboot and enjoy!
Magisk:
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/files/7819803/app-debug.zip
ROM:
Mod Edit: DL link removed.
Recommended Custom Kernel:
Stable kernel
Kernel source: https://github.com/TheLinuxAdmin/Eng_kernel_a70q
Enable fast charging: Fast charging magisk module and choose 4500mah 27w
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FLASHING ISSUES / ROM BOOTLOOP / BOOTS INTO FASTBOOT:
TigerBootFix 1.1.1
Apparently there is an issue with devices not being able to flash ANY GSIs and if you do it would boot you into fastboot mode. If you have this kind of issue, try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/vendor_a11-zip.5518175/ - use Android 11 Vendor. Flash the zip via twrp.
IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!
install oneui via odin, boot into oneui change date to 3 months from now
check for updates and then go to developer mode and tap on OEM Unlock
boot into download mode
flash twrp and vbmeta (or a custom recovery that works with android 12, like twrp 3.6)
boot into twrp
do format data
flash multidisabler
flash rom
flash kernel as boot
do factory reset
reboot
if it boots you into fastboot shutdown flash twrp only via Odin and try another factory reset and reboot (In twrp)
For maximum performance (Battery life will not be affected):
TigerTweaks 3.0: FDE AI but BETTER!
Ktweaks is no longer used, just FDE AI and GMS Doze.
Step 1
- Uninstall ANY OTHER KERNEL MANAGER app including smartpack/Ktweaks to avoid conflict, since this app uses AI and machine learning to dynamically boost performance when needed
- Install FDE AI Magisk Module to make it a system app, thus it will work better and removes all kernel locks from OEMs (I'm looking at you, Samsung) https://github.com/feravolt/FDE.AI-docs/releases/download/12.4.1m/FDE.AI-as-system-app.MAGISK.zip
- Update FDE AI to the latest version by downloading the latest APK here, since the fde ai magisk module will only install fde ai 12.4.1, not the latest version: https://github.com/feravolt/FDE.AI-docs/releases
- Move to the bottom of the screen and select AI Chat, then type /advancedai (no space, no uppercase letters). This will going to make the AI more effective, without you having to do anything.
- Go to the settings tab and use the AUTO settings for FDE AI.
Why not performance? Why not powersave?
Well, by setting the FDE to stick to max performance or power savings at all times, youre missing out the one key advantage that FDE has. Which, the AI can shift between performance and power savings (or even in between depending on the load) in real time. If your phone is on idle, FDE would go into Automatic/Power Saving mode, and if you're playing your favourite game or is doing a heavy task, FDE would go into Automatic/Performance mode. So, you will get performance ONLY when you need it. If your phone is on idle, it would switch fde to powersave, thus saving a ton of battery life!
- Tap on boost heavy games, force doze, and disable throttling.
NOTE: Only disable throttling on NON OC KERNELS! Disabling throttling in OC KERNELS can lead to overheating!
- Good features to keep in mind:
1. /gamelistadd package name
You can add your own heavy game here! For example, if you play war robots, go look at the package name for War Robots, and then enter the package name (for war robots it's com.pixonic.wwr) because your game might not be listed on the heavy games list! Though this is not strictly necessary as FDE AI can detect if you're under heavy GPU/CPU load while playing games, so FDE can adjust to Automatic/Performance which will boost your game, even if it's not included in the heavy games list.
2. /downscale
You can downscale your resolution without having to adjust fiddly DPI settings! The AI would work on everything for you to scale it adaptively, so no risk of soft bricking!
For example:
Downscale 540 for 540p (qHD)
Downscale 720 for 720p (HD)
Downscale 1080 for 1080p (FHD)
Downscale 1440 for 1440p (QHD)
Downscale 2160 for 2160p (4K)
Step 2
- Install GMS doze magisk module. Helps to reduce power consumption of google play services which will increase performance and extend battery life.

Hello, neobuddy89.
I installed the rom this morning.
I encountered only a "bug" (??).
In developer'options, I choose as usual "File transfer" but it is then automatically set to "No data transfer".
Correction isn't urgent. I can use a USB key.
hi,
i flashed last build and touch issue persists on A13 build
But i still stay on
Nice! Thanks a lot!
Very nice ROM, but it has some issues...
- file transfer in developer option doesn't stay how I want (no data transfer)
- doesn't matter what I want to install, I'm out of space... I must uninstall some apps "to free up space"... but I have enough... more than 90GB. I cannot install any of my apps. In rest...looks fine.

The same issue here. That's why i'll wait for fixed version. Even Gapps installing just some of packages. There is no option to install any .APK file or to install any Google Play's aplication. Cant install magisk too. Always problem with storege.
@Hellera & Can-dlE!
Seems like you guys used incompatible recovery, get latest unofficial TWRP from update group and clean flash it.

I faced similar issues on some TWRP builds and OrangeFox, storage, APK and Play Store related stuff. Since then I'm on 'TWRP-3.6.2-sweet-Nebrassy-13-09-22' and never faced such issue again. This one works perfect except for some Pulkit builds, where you need KewL version of TWRP.
Try twrp-3.7.0_12-0-sweet.img which can be downloaded here.
1) Recovery -> format -> reboot to Recovery (internal storage unreadable)
2) Recovery -> Install crDroidAndroid-13.0-20221108 (from sd card)
-> Install NikGapps-core-arm64-13-20220908-signed.zip
-> Reboot to System
3) Recovery -> Data decrypted
4) Backup/Restore of data in recovery seem to work too.
I find the rom nice, features rich and good/stable to use except mtp (file transfer) doesn't work. To access files in the internal storage, I have to boot to recovery.

Thank you for your explanation.
I followed the same way to install the rom this wednesday morning (see post 2 of this thread), using also the same twrp.
As workaround to the mtp tranfer problem (awaiting for a quick solution), I simply use a USB key instead of rebooting to twrp.
For having used crDroid 8 for a few months as daily driver, I'm now using crDroid 9 in the place in order to ensure continuity : same environment, same developer.

Thanks for this, but how can I acces the phone storage or sd card...? Nothing works! File transfer doesn't work, and that's a big problem!
I'm looking forward to flashing A13 once it's more stable. Also, it's the weekend and I don't want to spend the next few days looking at a recovery screen

Awaiting the correction of the problem "MTP File tranfer", simply act as follows :
connect your phone to your PC with the cable ;
reboot to twrp ;
on your PC, you will find your device and
;
you can then work as with MTP File transfer

I agree with you, but we have to be patient.
Don't forget that we have the chance having a developer who makes a great work.
It's a first release of crDroid 9.
Before installing this rom, I installed various A13 roms.
None of them had the problem of MTP file transfer but other disadvantages like "No advanced restart", ...
