2022_Root_Method_SM_G935_US_Models_Odin_Flashable_Oreo_Rev4_To_Rev10/A - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Snapdragon) ROMs, Kernels,

This Will Root Any Stock Oreo Rom On Firmware Rev4 To Rev10/A With Eng Root Image And Persist Image Root Method
This is an alternative root method too the the adb root method this only requires flashing a file in odin. This will still have all the bugs that the adb method has. I have taken the steps too try and limit the lag of eng root image but it will still be there in some capacity. This will give you safestrap recovery as an alternative too flashfire but there are some bugs in the recovery but it is useable. This process will wipe data and internal storage.
This will work on All US model S7 Edge phones with bootloaders Rev4 through Rev10Root For Rev11/B Bootloader Can Be Found Here

USERDATA_AIO_G935_REV4_10_PERSIST_ROOT_01_13_23.tar.md5Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD.7zS7 File Flat Found Here
SuperSU.apk-- Only Use This APK If Needed
Instructions For Already Installed Rom:
1. Reboot phone too download mode Pwr + VolDwn + Home
2. Load USERDATA_AIO_G935_REV4_10_PERSIST_ROOT_10_31_22.tar.md5 file in the UserData slot in odin and flash
3. When phone reboots too recovery and you see the recovery options screen you will need too Wipe Data/Factory reset.
4. Click reboot system.
5. Go through setup.
Instructions For Installing New Firmware And Rooted All At Once:
1. Reboot phone too download mode Pwr + VolDwn + Home
2. Load Firmware in appropriate slots use regular CSC file not Home CSC and load USERDATA_AIO_G935_REV4_10_PERSIST_ROOT_10_31_22.tar.md5 file in the UserData slot in odin and flash
3. Phone will reboot too recovery and process the csc files then reboot on its own
4. When phone reboots back too recovery and you see the error screen then the recovery options screen you will need too Wipe Data/Factory reset.
5. Click reboot system.
6. Go through setup and check that you are rooted.
Rebooting Too Safestrap Recovery
1. Reboot phone as you would too boot stock recovery Pwr + VolUp + Home. It takes up too 40 l seconds too boot recovery. Ignore the mount system errors on info screen
2. Enter recovery.
3. Too leave just reboot system ignore no system installed message if you get it
4. There is screen lag issues on scrolling in recovery. There is aroma file manager that takes care of this issue while in recovery but selecting zips too install may present a problem for this you can use the kernel manager recovery flash option while phone is booted too system. Simply select zip too flash and phone will reboot too recovery and flash it and reboot back too system. Most other function in recovery should work the issue is just scrolling too select files.
5. Flashfire is installed as an alternative as well
Features:
1. SuperSu Root- Do not use any other SuperSu app.
2. Safetrap recovery-Still working out scrolling issue
3. Flashfire
4. Kernel tweaks CPU governor set too Conservative
5. Entropy/Swapiness set to High
6. Build Prop tweaks to combat lag
7. Bloat removed from rom
8. Knox removed from rom
Bugs:
Eng Boot Image causes lag
Safestrap Recovery has scrolling issues
Random Reboots will most likely happen
Safetynet will not pass
Battery life may not be optimal
SuperSu cannot be updated
Flashfire may need date changed too 2016 to function if it just keeps closing on you

[GUIDE]Steps To Revert back to Lollipop 5.1.1 Stock After Marshmallow Update

Ever since google rolled out the marshmallow update I have been plagued with battery issues to an extent where it was dropping to half from a full charge within a day even on standby . Having looked at many fixes on this forum which including rooting and replacing the kernel or simply turning core features like wifi off.For some users it may be tedious and it may risk bricking their device . So I decided to go back to stock 5.1.1 until google fixes the battery issues.
Before Proceeding Backup Your Data.
Follow the steps below to roll back to stock 5.1.1 along with stock recovery.
1) Download the Android One Toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...oolbox-android-one-toolkit-one-click-t3030165.
2) Download 5.1 OTA update from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...l/ota-micromax-official-ota-captured-t3058879
3) Download 5.1.1 OTA update from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...al/ota-canvas-a1-5-1-1-captured-link-t3121543
4) Place both the OTA zips in root of SD CARD.Note the names of both versions.
5) Open Android One Toolkit.Enable USB Debugging . Unlock the Bootloader.
6) Install CWM Recovery from the Toolkit.
7) Reboot to Recovery.
8) Make a full backup of your existing ROM in case something goes wrong.
9) Erase Data , Cache & Dalvik Cache.
10) Select install zip from ext-sd card select the 5.1 OTA zip.
11) After completion reboot your phone. Update will also replace CWM with stock recovery ( No Worries)
12) Keep Wifi Off & Data connection off to prevent marshmallow being downloaded again during Setup . Setup your device Offline.
13) Reboot to stock recovery using key combo Power + Volume Up.If you get "No command" in stock recovery continue pressing Power+Volume Up until menu appears.
14) Select Update from SD Card . Select 5.1.1 OTA zip.
15) Reboot phone and you will now be on 5.1.1. Along with Stock Recovery.
16)Once Data or Wifi is enabled you may get update prompts of Marshmallow in notification. Disable update notification by long pressing on notification and goto settings from there you can disable it.
17) You may Relock Bootloader if You Wish from toolkit

FIrst check in android toolkit in list devices if your device is mentioned.
After flashing CWM boot straight to recovery. Booting to OS may cause the recovery to be overwritten by STOCK recovery.
Yeah my device
My device mentioned too . I clicked list devices and I got device id then only I unlocked bootloader and installed custom recovery also but I can't enter to customer recovery ?

After installing CWM from toolkit don't restart to OS. Press Power+Volume Up until recovery select option appears.
But now
(First i have to thank you to giving me the instruction now its worked) Doesn't show zip files. What to do? I wiped dalvik cache, data and cache partition but doesn't show zip file ? got another problem
Can I use Twrp?
What's wrong using TWRP instead of CWM? I do not have windows. I have Linux(Ubuntu). From linux I can flash anything. But the problem is I don't have the latest recovery image of CWM for Android one devices. (The CWM project has been abandoned anyway).
My only concern is to get back the stock recovery after flashing 5.1.
The process you told to revert back to Lollipop after Marshmallow update, have u done that, are u succeeded.
Please tell me, because after Marshmallow update i got a severe battery drain and over heat in My Spice Dream Uno MI-498.
When my phone is in ideal it is okay but when i started using it then the issue started.
After revert back to Lollipop according to your process is there any IMEI problem.
Is it possible after flashing the ROM in Custom Recovery can it revert back to Stock Recovery.

Please give more details or send a pic of what is going wrong for you. You have to put the zip file in your external card and flash from install from external SD card if that's what you are asking for.

Downgrade is possible only through unlocking bootloader and then flashing custom recovery which shall help you flash the LP firmware.
Rooting has nothing to do with this.

Yes , thats the tricky part as os tries to restore stock recovery on boot. Here's what you need to do. On your computer when the toolkit prompt says " completed /finished" prevent rebooting by quickly pressing power+volume up. Once you get the selection prompt select recovery by volume up and confirm selection by volume down.
You have to do this only once , After you successfully boot to cwm it will prevent os from re writing recovery

HELP ! Phone won't boot after rooting

Hey guys so I'm panicking right now, so I just unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP and rooted my phone but now the phone won't boot it's just stuck at the boot icon with the two circles chasing each other, am I screwed and is my phone useless now ?
Don't worry, this is a common problem that occurs when you use an older version of SuperSU.
Flash SuperSU v2.79 to root. You won't even have to reflash the OS. Your phone should reboot once during the booting process.
Alternatively, you can reflash the stock OS and root with Magisk v11.1, which will also root your phone.

Okay so can you tell me how to remove 2.78 before I flash 2.79 ? thanks
You don't need to remove it. Flashing the newer one should replace the older one. I had the same problem when I first rooted following a slightly outdated guide. Flashing the newest version fixed it without a problem.

My phone isn't showing up on my pc as a removable storage and when I type adb devices my phone isn't showing up either
If you have a usb-C OTG adapter, the easiest way is to copy it onto a flash drive and flash from the drive in TWRP.
TWRP should also have a way of mounting your phone to your PC, though I've personally never managed to get it to work.
Also, I believe adb works while you're in recovery mode. You can use adb to push the superSU zip to your phone's internal storage. If you aren't sure how to use adb, the toolkit consolidates all of the useful commands together.

Dirty flash whatever version of OOS you're on, wipe delvic/cache, then immediately flash SuperSU without rebooting recovery.

1) Download the full ROM of OOS from OnePlus (ignore their instructions, they are assuming that you have the stock recovery installed).
2) Transfer the full zip onto your phone.
3) Boot into TWRP
4) Find where you've put the full ROM on your internal storage and flash it
5) Once TWRP finishes flashing it, tap the "wipe dalvik/cache" button, DO NOT REBOOT (if you reboot at this point, your TWRP will be replaced with stock recovery)
6) Press back on TWRP, find your SuperSU.zip and flash that
7) Reboot
This process replaces any non-user files that may have been damaged. You won't lose any data or the apps that you have downloaded. This will replace the recovery with stock if you do not root immediately before rebooting.

K3 Note bootlooping to TWRP only

I had Resurrection rom installed in my K3 note and needed to sell the phone. So performed a complete wipe of the internal storage and tried to install AICP rom later (TWRP), it shows flashed successfully, but whenever I am booting my phone, it always boots to recovery only. Downloaded the SP flash tool to go back to stock rom with stock firmware, but as soon as I plug my phone woth my laptop with the USB cable, (which is switched off at this moment) after clicking the download option in the SP Flash tool, it just again boots back to recovery and the stock firmware's download never happens because my phone has booted into recovery. So i guess no use of SP Flash tool too.
I am able to connect my phone to my laptop and can see my internal storage and i can transfer files too.
Any help,?
Current rom flashed via TWRP - AICP v4.2 and Gapps micro (arm 64, pico) (Still stuck in booloop to TWRP only )
I am having the same issue! I've selected to restore factory settings and bam, it boots only to TWRP, I've tried to flash it with new rr rom (09.2017) but it is without any improvement still TWRP.
I think I'll try to do things like I did when changing it from stock model.
My phone TWRP-looped many times. The solution is actually easy.
1. Reflash using SPFlashtool ONLY the stock recovery
2. boot into stock recovery
3. choose english > press reboot phone
4. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
5. reflash TWRP
cheers
or
1. Copy stock recovery.img into sdcard
2. In twrp, select Install and navigate to where you put stock recovery.img
3. Press install image. Then, Select recovery.img. Slide to install
4. boot into stock recovery
5. choose english > press reboot phone
6. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
7. reflash TWRP
DONE
what button combination to boot into fastboot
Hi

No.... After flashing stock through Odin, let the device boot for initial setup dude. Don't flash twrp...!
After the phone setup is done you can go back to download mode & flash twrp.
There is no need to format data for rooting your device dude.
Just flash supersu & no verity... You will be fine.
Stock rom or custom ROM follow my words.

In your first post you have stated that you are not able to flash custom rom but now you are telling me that your phone is stuck even when Flashed with stock rom....!
I'm confused about what's happening here because the methods you have stated will not work in any case scenario as base ROM is required to flash - root to system or any mods so without rom you can't root any phone by flashing supersu first before even flashing rom that's the logical here.
There is no my method or your method but there is a universal step by step method which you clearly need to understand.
But anyways I can't help you anymore as I have no video to assess your process.
As a last resolution I will suggest one more method, if you can boot your phone to stock recovery then you can reset your device by factory reset which will again wipe everything within the phone so proceed with caution(just mentioning) so once you wipe your phone through stock recovery. Let me know. It has to boot in my opinion.
Before you do this try to reflash official & latest firmware which will be the January security updates through Odin with default settings.
After you get Odin pass message, it will automatically reboot so wait for 30 minutes max. If nothing happens press & hold volume down & power key to reboot device & as soon as the screen goes off to reboot, you will have to enter to recovery mode by holding on to volume up, power & home key as you already will know (just mentioned) then wipe to factory reset. Reboot.
Let me know if this works.
If not I'm located in Bangalore so if you are from Bangalore then I might help you. Again no fees or charges (just mentioned)
Or
Try this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/rom-t3607729
Or take it Samsung official Store to find out if your device has any issues with power chips or so..!

OK you have to state what version twrp you are flashing?
Now if it's just recovery then I would say to try TWRP 3.1.1.0 which is most stable version in my view.
Note: Re-download all Twrp tar, Supersu & no verity zip.
First flash twrp & then let the device boot to home screen.
Second reboot to recovery by hard keys.
If you see stock recovery go back to download mode flash twrp & go back to recovery without booting as you are doing but this time just swipe to allow modifications & reboot to recovery again.
Without flashing anything just reboot from recovery to system.
Thirdly if you device reboots to home screen then again get back to twrp recovery & now flash supersu & no verity zip & restart device. You should be able to solve this.

Thank, i'm using TWRP 3.2.1.0 currently, i will try TWRP 3.1.1.0 as your guide. So, i will try as following step:
1. Flash TWRP 3.1.1.0 and let it boot to Home Screen
2. If ok then go to Recovery -> flash upersu & no verity zip & restart device
2.1 If still in stock then flash twrp again -> go to recovery -> allow modification -> reboot to recovery -> reboot to system
2.2 If cannot boot to Home Screen after First Step then flash twrp again -> go to recovery -> allow modification -> reboot to recovery -> reboot to system
Are those correct ?

Hi there it's not that difficult i've faced the same issue with my n920c
Solution: Install the TWRP recovery just like normal but when the device is rebooting and black screen shows up Press and Hold [Power+home+vol down] until you see TWRP screen
Please Note: this is really important to press and hold while rebooting ...
After this you can normally reboot to recovery there would be no problem
Good luck !

This Takes Some Patience To Install
What Is Safestrap
Safestrap is a Bootstrap / Recovery for locked bootloader phones. Safestrap is now based on TWRP Recovery (a touch based recovery) and you can perform .zip installs, backups and restores here.

If I were to flash this on my t mobile s7 right now (with the verizon firmware), what t mobile specific carrier functionalities will not work? Overall, what functionalities are broken, or are not currently working?

Rom is working good on tmobile s7 battery and just general fluidity, can't comment on full radio functionality scince phone is currently not on carrier but otherwise instructions were on point, my gratitude to the devs.
Base updated to Tmobile base CRF1 so all tmobile functions should now work. OP updated with new files and instructions

@jrkruse i've been trying to read some stuff on SafeStrap... can it restore backups of FlashFire? I've been just switching my time backwards and using FlashFire to backup/restore internal storage...
In fact, is there any danger of using FlashFire with this hybrid ROM? Does FF interfere with the recovery capabilities of SafeStrap?

Whenever I odin flash the safestrap bootloader as the instructions say, after rebooting, it never enters safestrap. Am I supposed to manually enter safestrap? I tried booting to recovery after the odin flash but there is no safestrap recovery anywhere, only some "SBL ERROR UPLOAD MODE". If I try to boot system, there is pink text in the top left saying "RMPB PROVISIONED". I tried following instructions from the start again, but it still does this whenever I try to enter safestrap.
Do I even need safestrap to debloat? because that's all I am trying to do

Yea I followed the entire install instructions. My boot animation shows the samsung logo in white with a BLACK BACKGROUND, if that's what you mean. Is it supposed to be a samsung logo in black with a WHITE BACKGROUND? Also, after the samsung animation shows up, it shows the T-Mobile animation in pink text with a white background.
Maybe I made a mistake somewhere along the way, but I am not sure cause I re-installed from the beginning several times and followed all the instructions accordingly
