Nice update ! Stable ROM

is fast charge worrk ?

and deepsleep work too?

Hi gys, thanks for your job and sharing.
Is an OTA update available for this rom ?

wow you guys are fast!!! Downloading and installing
I promise after my first salary you guys deserve a donation. My Note 7 has a new life and now my Note 11 will be even better

Installation went well. Flashed twrp, then the rom with twrp, then reflashed twrp from itself. ROM works actually very well. Only bug is that always on display is well, always on, even during a whole night. Went to sleep with 49%, woke up with like 30%. So it doesn't turn off by itself
Other than that it seems to run pretty well, will keep you posted about potential bugs

I don't think so. It charges at regular speed, definitely not at "mi turbo charge" level. I use the stock charger

Can anyone confirm if this problem is with every rom or its just me/my device? Can't switch "USB controlled by", so no file transfer.

Strange, I charged from 16 to 81 in 43 mins, averages at 22W. Pretty sure it must've hit 30W somewhere in the beginning. Temperature plays a major role in charging speed. Devices don't cool as quick in summer and fast charging doesn't sustain at Max speed.

Yes, sometimes it charged fast, other times slow. There is a funny glitch where it says something like "battery full in 20,000 days" or something. Like you said, temperature is important and more sensitive in Project Elixir than MIUI I think. But it still charges pretty fast and I think it is good!
Also, the USB controlled by connected device doesn't work for me either, on the Note 7 and Note 11 too.
What does it do anyway? I never used it yet.
Look at the bottom my battery will be fully charged in 55 years.
Also, what's with the white borders shown in the top part? I just noticed them.
They are visible on the phone screen to, but ever so slightly.

I've been using battery guru and noticed the current dropping from its maximum rate after battery reaches 40°c. Anything below 40 works at its best, 33W at around 10-40% and gets slower as it goes up. As Xiaomi promised, 0-80 in an hour is guaranteed.
Haven't got the 20000 day to charge bug yet. MIUI prioritised charging speed over temperature. I'd rather slow charge to keep the battery at 40°. Heck MIUI runs hot by default compared to these ROMs, no wonder it has a higher cap for slowing down the charge. Don't quote me on this, i really hate how hot MIUI can get even in 2022.
About the USB, I wasn't able to access the device from my PC. Turns out, it was an issue with one specific ROM, which forced me to install buggy or corrupt adb drivers, which wouldn't let my device be recognised as a portable device in device manager. Despite that, the adb wasn't working. Uninstalling all the drivers and reconnecting the device let me transfer files now.

I dont blame you, MIUI loves to heat up when charging, I'd rather have slower but safer charging than MIUI's method. Good on Project Elixir's devs for adjusting that (if they did, not sure if it's firmware or kernel controlled or whatever). Because if they did then this is a very very smart thing and bravo to them. Maybe we could even have a toggle for it? Say if we prefer slower or fast charging. But if I want slow charging I can just use an iPhone charger lol.
Glad it works for you

Finally the thread reopened.
Can't wait for 1.8, still runs good so far, 2 weeks later

can u check widevine level??
i use netflix so it is important to me

says L1 for me. Banking apps work.
There is a bug where if scrolling in certain apps like YouTube, there is massive lag, but the phone is very smooth otherwise. I tried restarting, not sure what I could try next
It also only happens periodically, dunno what's wrong but not a big deal, I don't scroll faster than I can read.

A few questions:
1. Does this ROM support unlimited google photos storage?
2. Does it support fast charging like the original MIUI?
3. Dialer announces call record?

1. Yes, Unlimited backup on Google photos is available.
2. For fast charging you can get a module if it's worth the risk .
3. I dunno I haven't tested yet

Are you using any mods? Mine barely goes above 6W .. I tried some modules but 48°C wasn't worth it

PixelPlusUI Based OSS Vendor Or MIUI Vendor ?
• Well PixelPlusUI Based On OSS Vendor.
A few notes about flashing Custom ROMs
• This is a device with dynamic partitions.
• You should NOT wipe any partition to clean flash a ROM.
Flashing MIUI vendor-based ROMs
• Make sure you are on the latest vendor/firmware for YOUR region. (You will only need to reflash if coming from an OSS vendor ROM)
• Flash the ROM
• Format Data (Not the same as wiping data)
TWRP: Wipe > Format Data > Type "yes" & enter OFOX: Menu > Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data > Type "yes" & enter • Reboot to system
Flashing OSS vendor-based ROMs
• Flash the ROM
• Format Data (Not the same as wiping data)
TWRP: Wipe > Format Data > Type "yes" & enter OFOX: Menu > Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data > Type "yes" & enter • Reboot to system
About DFE (Disable Force Encryption)
It is strongly advised to not use this! Anyone with physical access to your phone (for example if lost or stolen) can get all your confidential data, including photos and even saved passwords, and makes identity theft possible.
Whenever possible, back up your data and do a proper encrypted setup!

Edit 1: sideload not work for me "Unable to find partition for path '/system_root' (using TWRP recovery)... gonna try from microSD (fixed it with re-flashing recovery again)
Edit 2: first impressions are impressive, i don't like how chrome browser act on android12 in general (some websites are viewer as "desktop version" without option to see them as mobile), camera app lack of settings for me and i hate that i can't use 64MP camera (sees it as 13MP or so... not sure why)
Looks neat! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!!
I would like to have option to invert the 3-button navigation so i can have them like on stock miui...
P.S. do we get OTA updates or i need to re-flash?
Everything works fine except some screen dimming for a second before going back to normal (no, not auto brightness or extra dim). It's strange. Anyone else noticed this?
Note: Bug is similar to auto brightness adjustment but here, it switches back to normal in a minute. Happens no matter the refresh rate selected. It dims even in total darkness and with no touch input even so definitely something at system level.
Does it have support for LHDC Codec?

wow, thanks for this christms gift sir. will try and give feedback afterwards
btw can i flash this one over my pixelplus ui v3.9?
how does this unlimited google photos upload option work?
Excellent ROM.
Got everything working from the get-go.
And a nice Android 12 look and feel.
Good job !
The only thing not working is the "Night mode" which doesn't seem to activate no matter what I do. (I'm expecting orange-ish colors you know, to reduce eye strain). But no...
Also, one thing I like on Android 11 was the ability to customize icon shape (rectange, triangle, etc...). I don't seem to be able to find that again.. Then again that might be part of Android 12..
But all in all, this is pretty great
EDIT : almost forgot, I flashed the latest stable Firmware here before I installed Project Elixir :
[Firmware] Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 [lavender] [Auto updated daily!]
All Xiaomi users suffer from a single problem, Firmware update. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release. And also developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes...

Came to talk about that.
I think I have gained like 25-30% of battery life using this, it's really amazing on a 2.5 years old phone.
I read that there has been work on improving battery life on Android 12. So this just being a12 could be the reason alone for that.
But anyway, nice work and nice ROM, again !
Missing N/W indicator
I really like this ROM. It's nice and smooth, looks great, pretty responsive.
However, out of the blue, the system UI started dying whenever wired headphones are connected, and will not come back while they are plugged in. Once I unplug them, the UI starts back up on its own and the lockscreen appears again.
Looking around, somebody said that this was caused on a different device by an overlay not supported by SystemUI. I remember disabling (or trying to) the option for speaking to Google Assistant (even though it's not supposed to be on) with wired headphones, don't know if that's at all related.
In the meantime, I can only guess that this could be fixed with a data wipe, but I haven't even had the ROM installed for 24 hours and that is frustrating.
I captured a logcat through the terminal, I hope it's useful.
Edit: I can't see if the file is actually attaching, please tell me if you can see it.

First of all, Thanks for this wonderful C.Rom.
I'm wondering if in the future updates, you're going to add a feature whenever you input your Security Pin at the Lockscreen (when it's correct) it'll automatically unlock instead of having to tap on enter button?

Installed successfully. So far its good. I've experienced a few bugs like when changing wallpaper from setting, the system hang. Have to lock the screen first. And, after using different custom rom anything related to a12, the Bluetooth quality for my earbuds is dropping especially in volume, The sound quality from is thin. Experienced the same issue with the speaker.

this rom is spectacular!
Thank you developers, this ROM is great. Everything is working, including Android Auto voice commands.
My S9+ also seems to have better battery life than your Pixel Experience Rom, where I had issues with Android Auto voice commands.

Hi,
One of the best ROM for SM-G960F so far!
Only problem I have, is DEX doesn't work at all
As it's proprietary Samsung part
Volte support?
Hello, thanks to the developers for this fantastic ROM.
Until now everything works perfectly, the only thing I find is that the ambient display is seen with very little brightness. Is there any way to increase the brightness?
Thanks in advance
P.S. sorry for my bad english
Hi, great ROM, 3 questions:
1) Icons in Tiles are very big, any change to redesign (more elegant)?
2) Is there something like Double Tap to Wake Up on Lockscreen?
3) Is there any AOD functionality (I haven't seen it)?
Thanks in advance

I don't want to bother people in any way (especially since I admire their work and I don't have even 1% of their knowledge).
I just want to know if the S9 is still maintained and planned for Elixir 1.6.
I have the impression that the Elixir Rom is very oriented on Xiaomi, Oneplus and Realme models and only three Samsung models are supported (s9, s9+ and note 9 if I'm not mistaken).
That's why I'm a bit worried...
relax, 1.5 version for S9 was released almost 10 days after let's say official release date. It will be delivered when ready.

ROM is awesome, but there is one issue. Phone is recognizing my usb-c headphones, but there is no sounds. I flashed the ROM several times, but nothing changed How can i fix this? Thanks!
Tested this rom on my S9+ , and this is seriously the best rom I've ever seen . Just one deal-breaker kind of issue is calling , I have a 4g sim and I can't make any call or receive calls . Can someone please help? If that's solved then I'm gonna use this as my daily driver
Seems really nice for daily usage, however on my S9, sound quality got a bit worse. Doesn't sound as bassy as stock firmware. Any workaround?

ok
flashed since 2 days with omnitrix and it works well. Sometimes or rarely, i have little freeze and lags but doesn't make the device unusable.
Basic customizations but essential to personalize a little the device.
I flash pixel launcher mods to have D2TS on launcher.
I will try new sushi launcher port soon.
Rom is smooth and BB is good. Charging is speed.
The rom is all i want.
Better with no lags or no freeze.
I tried logcat but each time i do it, no lags and no freeze
What version of OmniTrix are you using? I just tried this version that they shared in the telegram group and it works much better.

What are the installation instructions for coming from A12?
Been using version 5.2 since a little bit before 5.4 came out. Overall had no problems except bluetooth compatibility. I've been using my Sony WF-1000XM4 since a year ago with no problem on Pixel OS with the LDAC playback quality set to "Optimized for Audio Quality" through the Headphones app but for some reason in Pixel Extended I have to go through developer options every time and set it through that setting while also experiencing some heavy delays/cuts
Edit: Also for some reason I can't for the life of me find applock
I've been having some seriously bad issues with battery draining roughly 80-85% overnight on the 5.2 version.. that's about 8-9 hours from the time I go to bed until I wake up! I fully charge it before I go to sleep in case of an emergency or event that requires me to leave unexpectedly in the middle of the night. The culprit is Android system... I don't have any specific details, aside from what checking battery usage is through settings.. I'm not sure why this problem has just begun over a period of about a week... I've been using this ROM for about 3 weeks without any issues at all ! Battery life has been phenomenal until about 4 to 5 days ago ! I noticed a new version of the ROM on sourceforge, version 5.4 ? Does this update address the issues with Android system eating up the battery at */- 80% over an 8 -10 hour period of non use.. again, I charge it fully before I go to sleep and clear all the apps from memory every night before I go to sleep... This is almost like a ritual for me... Kind of like an OCD thing I do nightly.. any input would be great! I'll try and get a log cat for you the next time this occurs.. BTW, are there any apps that you would prefer a log from? Best wishes, I'm not *****in' , but merely trying to bring awareness.. I love this ROM and would hate to be forced to use any other.. The 5.4 version has addressed the battery issues! Thank you!

I've been on 5.5 for a few days and it's smokin'fast and smooth! Thank you for the quick updates! Send like the battery life is far better. I do have one concern that probably has nothing to do with this ROM, but it did appear in the playstore after having upgraded to the 5.5 version. From what I've read it seems this has been there all along as a part of all Android software. I've read several reviews and naturally there are so many trolls that made reviews that I don't know who to trust. I've attached a screenshot from the updates section. I will not update until I know that it's "truly safe" to do so. If it's not, I'll uninstall the darn thing. All of this aside, I would like to thank you for this great ROM and the super fast updates! Your work is greatly appreciated by myself and probably most other folks using it as well.

best rom i have used so far .
I used 5.4 until yesterday, the battery holds up well, so far I haven't found any complaints.
Did the OTA update to 5.5 in a few minutes this morning. This is my first rom with which I managed to do this without any problems.
If 5.5 will be better than 5.4, I'm the happiest man in the world
Which recovery should be used for this rom?
