Question Volume too low in Poco M4 Pro 5G - POCO M4 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11S (Opal), 11T (India)

I bought this Poco M4 Pro 5G global version in Dubai 2 months back.
I feel that volume of speakers is too low. I can barely hear movie dialogues. I plugged in wired headphone but still same.
I wonder whether there is problem my mobile or it is that the speakers are not loud by design? Do I have change any settings?
Thanks!

Hi @H3llsing87 , thanks for your reply.
There is a "Disable absolute volume" under "Networking" section. I toggled the switch to grey but still there is difference in volume.
I think this for Bluetooth?
Any more suggestions?

do u root the phone?

I had the same problem with bluetooth devices with low volume. Changing this setting helped.
Thank you!

AM I wrong or this settings (disable full volume) is not present on MIUI 14 developer settings ?

What's it saying? Poweramp with fx option working here. Will say 1 thing coming from LG. They **** on everyone with Audio. But Note still overall better phone.
Are you referring headphone sound or speaker sound?

sorry but I did not understand you, I do not understand lg, here I'm talking about notes 8, and activating the music fx button has no effect.

I refer only to the headset, with the speakers no problem.
edit: strangely I solved the volume by switching off and on, but I can not explain why this behavior.

poweramp works, but I do not work music fx, if I activate the music fx button the button turns on but does not change the sound effects I set in sound alive.
I hope I explained myself.

Bluetooh volume problem

Hi people,
So i got my new Realme x2 Pro yesterday. Overall i'm really happy with the phone. Today when commuting, i used the bluetooth earphones (sony wf1000-xm3) and... Surprise! the maximum volume is a third of what it was the they before yesterday with my htc u11.
I'm pretty sure it's an option of the OS that is screwing me up, but cannot find the fix. Someone has a similar problem to mine and a way to solve it?
i tried:
- disable the dobly atmos options in sound settings.
- on developer options: disable the absolute volume.
non of them worked.
Oh, forgot to say: I'm on the European version of the OS

I have the same setup and don't have issue with max sound .... have you tried putting the volume up via the headphones directly (touch gesture slide up on the right cup) ?

Hi Jake, It's The WF model, not WH (have them too). The WF does not have volume control (because there is no space to swipe)
but once i arrive home, i'll try what happens with the WH.

So, I'm trying now with the WH-1000xm3 and it's the same problem as the WF.
The maximum volume i'm getting is as best a third of what i had with the HTC U11.
There is something very wrong here.
So, at the end really was a problem with the headset.
no problem with the phone bluetooth.

Hi
I have experienced the same problem with a set of Bose earphones and a bluetooth speaker. The volume is significantly less than when these devices are used with any other mobile phone.
It is categorically an issue with the OS (unless I am missing something flagrant, or worse yet it is a hardware issue). Grateful for anyone's advice.

verify within the app of bose the volume of the headset (if you have the option there)

Thanks I will look into it, but these are fairly simple bluetooth earphones, not aware of any app optionality.
I note the December ColorOS updates included a bug fix for "low sound when connected to AirPods2 headset".
Would imply this is a wider issue.
I came across the same problem with the WF-1000XM3. I managed to fix it by changing one of the touch functions of the earphones to volume control. Then I just adjusted the volume on the earphones to the max and now I have full volume.

How to disable the uhq upscaler when using wired headphones?

There is no option to turn this off.can anyone figure this out?
Good question, hadn't noticed this option doesn't appear available anymore.
I am on SM-N960F (exynos) on Android 10
Fairly sure that on Pie the option could be enabled or disabled
No I'm on pie and it cant be turned off.oreo it can be I think

I'm now with 10.... going in settings > sounds and vibration > sound quality and effects (sorry if making mistakes, I'm translating from italian) there's all the bolby settings and the eq settings and bellow of this there's UHQ upscaler...tapping it goes to make you choose two options but can't shut it off... Seams that upscaler now always works when plugging in earphones.

That's what I'm saying you cant turn it off.is tube amp still there in android 10?
Try wiping the cache partition in Recovery Mode. Could be a software glitch

Right, can't turn it off anymore. Under upscaling there's tub amp and concert hall but they are grayed when bolby atmos is selected (same as pie)

Nop, wipes won't do anything, this is a 10 bug or a developer's decision in making upscaling not choosable anymore.
It's terrible that we cant turn it off.as it sounds better without upscaler

Have a look here:
Dolby Atmos
Whenever I try to flash dolby atmos, i get stuck in a bootloop and then the only way out is to remove the module from the recovery. I am on pixel plus ui android 11. Anyone with a better luck??

Same here - problem solved with Dolby Off
Turn off absolute volume from the Bluetooth setting of the device paired.

Hmm, it more complicated than I expected, my problem on Bluetooth headsets and small speaker are fixed, but on complete set audio like home theatre and car audio this didn't seem to work or they simply didn't had the absolute volume option, I guess this problem caused by the audio system too
Dolby Atmos issue started after I created and switched into a 'Second Space' While playing music from my 'First Space' on the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The Dolby Atmos toggle of my 'First Space' was messed up because of the second space that I created.
I had to delete the 'Second Space' for the issue to stop.
Attached are few details of my phone.

A71 - Bluetooth headphones issue

Guys, I'm having a problem using Bluetooth headphones, when I press the headphone button twice to increase or decrease the volume of the headphone, it ends up changing the volume of the smartphone, is there anything I can do to solve it?
Headphone model: Syllable S101
Hey bro, i think it not a problem. i have used many different type, anh they're all like that

I know in general it's not a problem but it's a problem for me because I need to change the headphone audio, the audio of this headphone is very loud and even on the minimum of the phone it is still very loud and it hurts the ear and it was different in the other smartphone I had where I could change the volume on the smartphone and headphone separately. So I thought I could install some rom or something where I would change this setting which I imagine is unique to OneUI
in developer options has a ' disable absolute volume ' , you can try it. good luck
