Changing the CID is not going to get you around the model id error. You need to be S-OFF and then you can manually edit the andrioid-info.txt and add the modelid to it.

i got s-off so now just i need change cid in android text
is it risk?

Which RUU are you attempting to run? What you need to do is extract the ROM.zip from the RUU and then in the ROM.zip there is a file called android-info.txt that you need to edit and add a modelid= line to it for your modelid. Then you copy that ROM.zip file to your SD card and rename it PG32IMG.zip and reboot into bootloader and it will attempt to load the rom image.
Get into FASTBOOT USB mode and enter the following command and post the results:
fastboot getvar all
That will give us a true picture of what phone model you have and what you need to do.

Of course it is a risk. Especially considering even after you were told its the modelid that needed to be changed and you are still going on about the Cid.

The risk is that you are not understanding what you are being told to do. You will not solve our problem by changing the CID value.
The risk of modifying a ROM.zip with S-Off is that you cold flash one that is not compatible with your phone, thus the reason you were asked to run the Fastboot getvar all command so that we can help ou determine the correct RUU you should be working with.

Ok now we are getting some information that is useful. You will definitely need to modify the android-info.txt and add the line modelid=PG3212000 to the top of the file if you want to flash an official PG32IMG.zip file extracted from an RUU.
If you are S-Off why don't you install one of the stock, rooted ROMs in the Dvelpment section that were created from the WWE RUUs?
There is one based on WWE 2.30.405.1 which is the original GB/Sense 2.1 RUU and there is one based on WWE 3.08.405.3 which is the latest GB/Sense 3.0 RUU. I have installed and ran both of these on my Canadian IncS.

What error did you get? After you edited the android-info.txt file, did you then copy the ROM.zip file to your SD card and rename it PG32IMG.zip?

this not error just when checking the rom in bootloader didnt install anything

OK, in order to help us solve this, we need for you to post the contents of the android-info.txt that you modified and also from FASTBOOT USB mode, please run the following command and post the results:
fastboot getvar all
This will give us all of the details we need to assist you in getting straightened out.
Once again, since you are S-OFF you could simply go to the Development section and get the stock, rooted version of 3.08.405.3/Sense 3.0 ROM that you can simply flash from CWM Recovery and be done with it. You would still have S-OFF and root.

RUU for my 801e M7

Hello every one
I'm a noob in HTC world.. I always had Samsung devices.. So excuse my silly questions
I was trying to find the correct RUU for my handset I already search this thread

But I couldn't or to be more specific don't know how to choose the correct RUU
This is my info which I get from CID Getter
CID HTC_J15.. MID: PN0711000.. currently running 1.29.401.17
If more info is needed I will provide them

- Can this file serve as RUU for my device if yes which file should I use the "Backup CWM" or the "Image"
- If I use this will it consider stock rom so I can receive OTA in the future
- What is the difference between RUU with extension of .exe or .zip.. is there is advantage or disadvantage to either one of them
- If this one can't serve as RUU how I can extract the RUU from my device

RUUs cover more than one CID

is there eny RUU.exe or zip rom file fore this version of Htc one ?

[Q] Update rooted one to lollipop

I've been trawling the internet for the past day or so to try to find out how to unroot my htc one m7. I had to root it for college to gain access to the data folder for stored databases however due to the installation changes to lollipop the update is sitting on my phone and cant be installed because it is rooted.
I'm sure this has been asked time and time again recently but can anyone help please. I have tried to flash a few RUU's I thought would work but to no avail. The phone is S-on because my bootloader is 1.57 and the only way to get S-off is by paying £20 with sunshine because I have read that firewater is discontinued and does not work anymore. Am I wrong?

CID: HTC__001
Model ID: PN0710000
OS: 6.09.401.11 *Cannot find matching RUU anywhere
Baseband: 4T.29.3218.08
Bootloader: 1.57
Carrier: HTC-WWE

Can anyone please help? Or does anyone have an RUU that would suit. I'm just looking to get back to stock so the OTA lollipop update will actually install. Any ideas?

Flash this 6.09.401.11 firmware
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip

fastboot reboot
Unlock the bootloader at htcdev.com
Flash TWRP recovery back to the phone
Use this Nandroid to return to stock

Its a rar file you unrar it to TWRP/Backups/YourphoneSerialno/some date folder
and restore it in TWRP

Thanks for the reply. I'm just in the middle of downloading the nandroid backup. Do i leave the contents of TWRP/Backups/YourphoneSerialno/some date folder as is. There is files already in it? just unRAR the nandroid file in on top of that?

put them in a new folder in the same location as your old backups

I have done all the steps you said. But when I flashed the firmware, unlocked bootloader and reinstalled recovery there was no backup folder in TWRP so i created a backup and put the files in that. Then restored using that. Still the lollipop OTA update fails?

7.17.1500.8 is the only Globalive RUU available

If your version-main is higher than 7.17.1500.8 and your phone is S-ON, edit your misc partition so it says 7.17.1500.8 (see at the end of post #2 of the same thread linked above)
