Question Any way to reduce the animations when closing an app? - Motorola Edge 30 Ultra / Motorola Moto X30 Pro

I set the animation speeds to 0,5 already but it didn't affect the app closing animations at all.
They're still kind of long and sticky.
Any option to turn them off?

How to Keep the brightness always minimum?

Despite doing this manually in the settings, occasionally the brightness goes up due to unknowns. Is there a way to keep the brightness always low?

If you swipe along the notification bar at the top you can increase or decrease the screen brightness.
"it's a feature not a bug"
i hated it myself till i read somewhere that (only if you deactivate auto-brightness) you can increase/decrease the brightness by swiping left/right on your notification panel! it happens often by mistake when you pull it down ... thats your problem
in the new froyo rom's this is no longer the case so now i use auto-mode and wait will this "feature" is no more
edit: Intratech...too fast

I never noticed this actually.. Also ensure though in the browser you have set brightness manually there
have the same problem, but i find the auto brigthness setting saves my battery more rather than accidentally turning it maximum brightness
I tried the "Dimmer" and "Brightness!" apps from the market. But none of them 'Keep' the brightness at the minimum always.
I've noticed 3 places where the brightness can be set - 1st being the web browser, 2nd the actual settings option, and 3rd the video player. Currently, I disabled the auto brightness control and I've set all 3 places to 1 step above minimum. Seems to work for me.
Also, I have a widget on the home screen to set/monitor the brightness level, it's called 'Brightness Widget by Stark Technology Inc.'.

CM6 screen rotation slow

Has anyone else noticed how long it takes your screen to go from 90deg to 180/270? I am using CM6 and the ADW it comes with. Any settings to speed this up or is this just how it is?
I swear 5.0.8 didnt feel this slow when rotating.
thx!
Try changing the speed of Window animations and Transition animations in Spare Part to Fast...

I noticed that the apps scrolling was slower, but now it's much faster. Thanks!
thanks for that tip - it definitely makes scroll and animation speed faster.
HOWEVER - screen orientation is not affected in the least by this setting. Is this a cm6 issue or a launcher issue?

Screen rotation speed

I have an ATT GS5 and for some reason the screen rotation is noticably slower than my previous GS3. It takes around 1.5 - 2 seconds to rotate from portrait to landscape and vice versa. Any clue on as to why this is?

Go into your phone's settings, go to "About Device" and click on Build Number 7 times to enable the Developers options. Go back into the settings menu and go into the Developers options. Scroll down until you see the following:
"Transition Animation Scale", "Window Animation Scale", and "Animator Duration Scale".
Turn all three to "Animation is off".
These will GREATLY improve your rotation time (as I've personally experienced) as well as the phone's speed itself. Animations will still be noticeable, so do not worry.

I found the issue. I had smart rotation on, which forced it to check every time it rotated if my eyes had changed orientation. Once i turned it off, rotation was instantaneous.
Thanks for the extra speed boost tip, though; made everything just that much quicker!

NP :good:
An old tip carried over from the GS4.

Laggy recent screen.

Is it just me or the recents screen is way too much laggy when switching from one app to another?
It worked smooth for a day or two post one ui 2.5 update but now its back.
Have been having this issue since the time of purchase.
Using 6+128gb variant btw.
Turn off animation of window animation scale, Transition animation scale and animation duration scale in developer option and uninstall or disable app that you don't use
Lagging

Any way to disable overscroll stretch animation?

In android 12 there is new overscroll stretch animation.
There is some option to turn it off without disabling all others animations or bring back old android 11 overscroll effect?
In chrome we can disable it using this flag:
chrome://flags/#elastic-overscroll
First thing I kill on Adroid is animations, enjoy the fast UI...
I'm wondering if there is a flag which can be changed using adb shell settings
is there really no way to disable android 12's overscroll??

"Changing Animator Duration Scale in Developer Options to Animation Off is the solution. You need to refresh whatever app you're on to see the effects. So after making the changes in Dev Options, close the app that you're experiencing the stretchy texts on and reopen it to see the changes made."
Not sure if this works. A fast phone doesn't need any animations, etc. One of the first things I disable in Developer options. Animations where junkware in XP×64, still junkware today...
I tried it before and it works, but i want every animation to stay normal EXCEPT overscroll. Disabling all in-app animations for one eye-straining animation is dumb. It'd be great if there's a way to replace the overscroll animation or disable it alone...

Not that I know of. A chrome edit maybe, try searching for that. Many browsers allow you to alter their default hidden settings.
All animations do is make a fast UI less usable. I want to see real time what's going on, or not. Whenever I see lag that's not internet connection related I go into witch hunting mode.
Is there no way to remove that annoying effect? I don't understand how there is no option other than removing all the animations...
i really hate it
