An assist ball with some other icons appears on phone while on a call. Why does it appear on my Redmi Note11, Android 12 phone?

It's the screenshot feature of MIUI. Selective Screenshotting...
Why does it come when on a call? And that is only happening for some calls.

Why does it automatically come when on some calls? Also noticed the selection in screenshot is bigger than the actual selection border when we invoke the partial screenshot with gesture.

This is partial screenshot, and it doesn't get triggered by calls. You held 3 fingers on the screen, either by accident or your screen is malfunctioning

This is not coming for all calls, few calls I noticed and took screenshot, that selection was moving on the screen. Interestingly all the screenshots showing only 00:01 seconds of call duration, actually took screenshot after 2-3 minutes of call.

Never happened. Just now I opened the screenshot of call and invoked the partial screenshot with 3 fingers gesture. So found out that the icons and selection in the call screenshot is slightly larger than actual partial screenshot animation. Find the below image on top of call screenshot partial screenshot icons are visible.

Any idea why the full screen mode suddenly stopped working? Is there some hidden setting for that what Bixby changed etc. etc. when using a ton of voice commands :victory:
I have enabled full screen mode in "settings->display->full screen" and all of my programs are allowed to use full screen, but none of them do. And if I disable eg. Chrome and then launch Chrome it asks whether I want to run it in full screen or not. I press "run in full screen" but the navigation bar still persist

not for me, some app just didn't allow me switch back to non full screen mode even it warn me the app didn't work in full screen mode,
I've been using the Mate 20 for the past 24hours, being first time Huawei/EMUI user, there are some weird experiences going on.
1. Bug - App switcher:
Open recent apps, I'm not able to switch apps by clicking the partially visible adjacent apps (will go to home screen)
The only way to switch apps is by scrolling to the desired app and make sure it shows at the middle of the screen, then click it.
2. Navigation Bar Experience - EMUI? Android 9? :
The navigation keys' positioning is kinda bad. The icons are too packed at the middle of the screen, instead they should be placed more evenly, and the clickable areas should be widen. (I drawn an image below to better explain this)
I'm not sure this is an EMUI thing or Android Pie thing? How to make a suggestion to Huawei?

This is not solution
I agree, the current nav button setup is stupid.
Hope they fix this issue. Until then I'm using Fluidng.

It's controlled by Huawei, btw it's shifted like that because there's a "rotate" button that appears on the nav bar when you tilt your phone and auto rotate is off, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWOp1b-5thQ

I see. But that is rarely used. It shouldn't affect the main navigation keys that are the basic function of a phone.
This seems like it should be VERY simple, but I can't figure it out... I just want to have weather displayed on my lock screen and always on display.
I went into Settings - Lock Screen - FaceWidgets - selected Weather, and the "show on Always on Display" option -- no luck.
Suggestions? I must be missing something...

Their implementation blows. On AOD, you have to double tap the time then scroll. On Lock screen, you have to scroll the time. Makes it pretty worthless.

It's kind of in a strange settings under lockscreen-face widgets.
At least then you don't have to swipe 5 times

Hi. Just noticed on my S21 Ultra I don't have the 'face' icon in my gallery app after you click edit (the pencil icon). On One UI 2 it used to have a face icon at the bottom where if you selected it, you could remove blemishes, red eye, etc - I think it was called a 'spot fixer'. Has this been removed now on one UI 3.1? It was only launched as an update in April 2020 from doing a Google on it. Have attached a pic showing it next to the T icon on the toolbar.

In photo editing mode, just keep on sliding from left to right on the option bar and you will find the face icon with all options including spot remover (blemish).

Thanks for the reply. I definitely don't have this on my S21, do you? From left to right in photo editing mode I have crop, filters, brightness/contract etc adjustments, emoji, drawing tool, and finally text option - i have seen examples (like the one I posted in my original message) the face icon after the text option, but this doesn't appear on mine. So, I guess is it just mine or does anyone else's S21 have it missing too?
Just to add a friend of mine has a Note 10 on One UI 3 and the face icon is not there either, but it was on One UI 2, so it looks as if this has been removed (for some reason) unless anyone can say any different.

Yeah you're right, just tried taking a new selfie and its there, but it doesn't show on certain other pics (even if the face is clearly visible, and in fact the face is the the main part of the photo).... but ok, I appreciate your help.

Since I got this phone I have an issue with notifications on lock screen. Sometimes they appear, sometimes not (only lock screen lights up when notification comes...but its not visible). The only way to know which app sent the notification is to either see the icon on Always On Display or unlock the phone and check the app icon "badges" or expand the notification bar.
Any ideas? It happens randomly...sometimes notification from one app work, 30 min later they dont...
Moreover, it happend few times that there was a notification (missing on lock screen) and there was not even a sound - only vibration and lock screen lights up.
To be honest pretty annoying bug.....

I think i found one....
So for example I have Line application which is similar to WhatsApp but mostly used in Asia.
Basically I noticed that sometimes notifications from Line are under Silent notifications group when you expand the notification bar. A bit of googling and this is Android 11 feature. The thing that helped was to switch ON option Show in conversation section. Android 11 have now 3 groups of notifications...Alerting, Silent and Conversations.

So with mine - i have copied all the settings from my previous phone OP9 pro - everything on that works but on the oppo it doesn't. shows on AOD screen but when you open the phone its only in the status bar. very frustrating but its not specific to WhatsApp but happens a lot on WhatsApp.

In my case I dont have any issues with whatsapp notifications.
You can check my notification settings for whatsapp and compare with yours:
