Brazil received the April update, but we are not receiving monthly.

Any1 from India got any new updates ?

OTA update received today. Size 120 MB. Again in December Security patch, Kernel version of feb.

I don't believe it is available. The upgrade to 8.1 with April patch is just available via OTA. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

April patch (+8.1) is only available as OTA for some channels.
This one is the most current ROM with March Patch: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939834159
However, 8.1 is still buggy so just take this link and wait till a new rom is released

Hmm what firmware do you have on your device? Having a search on the Reddit motog pages, seems that the XT1806 is on the NPS26.116-48 series of firmwares https://www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/8otvt2/april_security_update_for_moto_g5s_plus_retail_us/ Looks like the April 2018 OTA to NPSS26.116-48-15 is the latest?

Hmm, looks like your device is on the incorrect firmware - I found this link from Republic Wireless indicating that NPSS26.116-48-15 is the April 2018 security patch for US devices: https://forums.republicwireless.com/t/system-update-for-moto-g5s-05-23-18/19234
Though I've not found the April 2018 firmware, here's links to the NPSS26.116-48-12 and NPSS26.116-45-12 firmwares (March 2018 security patch)

However, I'm not sure as to the differences between the two firmwares - they've both been deployed to XT1806 devices from what I've read. It seems the NPSS26.116-48-12 build was the more commonly deployed? Fully flashing one of these firmwares should get you OTA updates to the April 2018 security patch. I'm hoping that someone with a US device can comment further.

Again, I don't know what the difference is between the 45-12 and the 48-12 firmwares - however, the 48-12 firmware appears to be more commonly mentioned, so you may be okay with the 48-12 firmware? Good luck whichever you decide.

Ill try the 48 today, havent had tge time, i too looked at both and really dont see any difference, tge firmware im using worjs fine and i have no issues just no ota, i initially bricked this phone, but ived never trully bricked an ardoid phone in my life , i lost recovery thus time and the OS, but with adb fastboot , i was back in business in a matter of minutes, just needed to find A firmware

So after flashing 45 , upon boot it immediately grabbed the April Security Update ! Is there a June Security update , I heard there was in some countrys. Or is this just Soak test chatter?

Nothing here yet. My XT1794 for some reason is still on NPP26.102-49 (reteu/october 2017 patch). Never even got the june 2018 update....

This is ridiculous. No more Lenovorola from me. Everyone's got Oreo and some phones from other brands have even gone to Pie, but reteu is still behind. Tragic support compared to when it was owned by Google (my XT1032 got updated before the Nexus phones of the time).

Yeah. This is oddly funny. I said no more Motorola after the Atrix fiasco (Android 2.3...... ICS was never released, they promised it... and then the Testing image got leaked.....)
Yet, I've owned another Moto phone, which won't have Android 8.1. But this phone is still good with Nougat. Can't complain.
Got a Nexus 5x from google. New. Turns out it had a hardware failure on all models just a year after the release.
Got a Nexus 4. After a year of usage, just upgraded to Lollipop. Phone started rebooting on its own randomly. Some users have this issue as well.
I don't believe on the manufacturers anymore. My next phone will be a Nokia (and I'll fail for sure)

The Lenovo forums for the 5GS and the 5GS+ are full of VERY annoyed reports on WiFi loss problems after upgrading to 8.1 - so far, these obviously all relate to non-RETEU update channels. Lenovo apparently never officially reacted to these complaints, but several people there seem to have dumped their 5GS/+ phones after the update out of frustration.
So, do those of you who already have updated to 8.1 see any problems with WiFi connections dropping (while connected to a 4G network)? The 'cure' for that seemed to be to disable 4G connections...
What with battery life after the update?

I am assuming that Samsung does the monthly security updates...

It's monthly but it is usually not released till mid month each month. I have S9+ and updates I'm receiving are released closer to the end month.

On Sprint fw I had Sept1, after flashing U1 latest is Aug1 as of now.
