How to root Galaxy M21 running Android 11 - Samsung Galaxy M21 Questions & Answers

Hi there,
I'm looking for a guide to root Galaxy M21 running Android 11.
I tried browsing but wasn't able to find/decide which guide/way was the safest to go.
I need to root the phone in order to access some files created by an app (similar to AppData on Windows OS). So I need root access in order to browse/copy from the filesystem.
So, anything that can do this works for me. I don't need custom ROMS or anything fancy. The easier, the better - as long as it can do the job. I also want something safe (secure) for rooting.
The exact model is: SM-M215F/DSN.
I'm using Windows OS and I'm familiar or can easily understand root & firmware flashing tools.
Thanks very much!

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

New to XDA and can't really seem to find any information on Rooting and unlocking the bootloader for my Samsung Tab A 8 SM-T350. Would like to put custom recovery on it if possible. Any suggestions? Please and thanks.
I second this. I've had this sitting in my drawer for a few months and would like to tinker with it.

Right? Its a good tablet, it just is very limited With touch wiz and the bootloader being locked. I tried kingoroot and it got to 90% before staying at a halt.
There is no official forum section for this device but it looks like there is root and TWRP for the t350.

Guys there is no "unlock bootloader" in SM-T350. There is no such thing.
TWRP is the only custom recovery for SM-T350. No more than that.
There is a custom rom by the way.
There is a custom kernel.
There is a way to root it (system-less only)
There are so many possibilities.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 Smoky Titanium SM-T350 Marshmallow.
If you need help or the links. Respond BACK! I'll give you them.
My Galaxy Tab A is bricked. Can someone help me fix it? I have attempted some things, to no avail!
Send me link and solve cant mount sdcard problem in recovery mode
I flashed the patched boot img and it said it worked, now I am lost on the next step... all magisk manager says that I haven't done on the main app page is that magisk is not installed... confused.

Can't locate files for rooting N900AUCSEOC3

After hunting for files to download for Odin and failing, and trying two one-click solutions that told me the files are not available, I am having trouble finding step-by-step help for rooting my Galaxy Note 3 N900AUCSEOC3 for my Android 5.0 install (received as a normal upgrade from AT&T). I gather that the OC3 refers to a particular release (of OEM Android?). I haven't quite digested the implications of attempting to install a custom rom, so I first want to simply root the device, preferably, but not necessarily, without making KNOX angry (although perhaps I can't install a custom rom without first rooting, anyway?). Is there a tested way to do this for my Galaxy Note 3 -OC3, or can someone confirm that it can't be done at this time?

Same problem over here. I used to mess with this stuff on the note 1 but been out of the game too long.
The AT&T Note 3 has a locked boot loader so you can't flash a custom ROM using TWRP. You can only flash custom ROMs that can be installed via SafeStrap.
I too am having the same problem, I can not find the files to root my AT&T Note 3, Bootloader: N900AUCSEOC3. Also what does this mean: I see two hlte codes, one is hlteatt under Device tab, (I am using Device Control from the Play Store) and the other is hlteuc on the Product tab. With the hlteuc code, does this mean that I can root this with a generic SM-N900 Root or not. I can post a screenshot if necessary. EDIT: I have tried all sorts of "Auto Root" apps such as KingoRoot TowelRoot KingRoot Universal Androot, etc. to no Avail.
Do you have a copy of the OC3 file?

No, I do not, unfortunately.
I was on OC2, so I am not sure at all about 3 but this worked for me.
First flash NC2 files in odin
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/general/n900aucucnc2-odin-files-t2838117
Then root that using this post but NOT that Safestrap
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65467618&postcount=6
Use this one
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=2054#downloads
I have flashed Aurora rom and Alliance v12 to stock slot without any problems. Alliance is very buggy. NFC and System FC like crazy. Be SURE to wipe before installing rom. First boot takes forever.

Plan to root my tab s2

Hi all !
I have decided to root my tab s2 to gain access to system to modify parameters to disable add user option in notification. I see no other working option.
Request to help me with the required tools and guide to root. Will it be possible to update to nougat after I root ?
Is it possible to root the device and stay on the same andriod version ? I have previous rooted my other phones including pantech burst and samsung wave 2 but not able to find a complete guide for tab s2 SM-T715
Thanks a lot !
Yes, it possible to root the device and stay on the same andriod version. Matter of fact, once rooted you should disable OTA updates for thyat can break root and your device.
You could update the OS manually via TWRP.
But first and for most, you had better make a system backup before tinkering about.

Moreover, TWRP can give you temporary root access.

Any updates on official ROOT for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 (T395)

I thought I'd give the Galaxy tab active 2 / T395 a try out as I'm a big fan of the 'S pen' feature.
I have tried all the stand alone apks out there that claim they can root any android device; 'KingRoot, KingoRoot, OneClickRoot, z4mod.z4root, Rootmaster and Framaroot'. I'm sad to report, all of which do absolutely nothing, which is very dissapointing.
The only thing these ROOT apks do, is secretly install random unwanted programs and adverts to install other crap.
The device has been on the market for 7 months now, so can anyone provide any information updates as to when an official ROOT method for the Galaxy Tab Active 2 / T395 may be available by using Odin on the PC with the relevant 'CF-Auto-Root / TWRP' files?
Thanks for reading :good:
After much research and reading. There is a way of rooting the T395. Covered in this section by another member.
Having, myself followed the instructions, I can say my T395 active 2 , is fully rooted using the Magisk Manager method and patching the boot.img taken from the main downloaded firmware from sammobile website.
I guess things have moved on from using CF auto root and TWRP files for earlier android operating systems.
Hope this helps someone else out.
Step by step guide please

your knox trigger will be 1 and you wont be able to get your phone fixed even it would have a hw problem, there are many guides you can use to root and install custom rom. you can check many roms with samsung health or apps you need . if you are willing to do it, you need OEM lock unlock option available in developer settings and you need to enable it, then install twrp and flash a zip for you to remove encrypt on data. you can check out @dr.ketan s rom. he has a guide in his thread which can help you in many steps.
this is his thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/29-09-17-dr-ketan-rom-jio-volte-n1-t3681163
also make sure you post your questions in q&a section.
