Requirements
Windows O.S.
Have the ADB drivers installed. Here is the link to download them. During installation, make sure to enable the "Add to System Path Environment" option. Here you have more information about ADB drivers. Since v10, if you don't have ADB drivers installed, they are automatically downloaded and installed as soon as you open Wear OS Tools. [new]
Connect the watch and the phone to the same Wi-Fi network.
Enable debugging over Wi-Fi on the watch. On the watch, go to Settings > system > About and tap "Build Number" several times until you see a message that says "you are now a developer". Then go to Settings > developer options and enable "ADB debugging" and "Debugging over Wi-Fi".
If you want to connect the watch to the phone via Bluetooth or Cable USB, follow the steps detailed on the tool.
Considerations
The tool is available in English (EN) and Spanish (ES)..
Tested on TWP3 and TWP5, please give feedback on other watches.
To find out the IP address of the watch, just go to "Debugging over Wi-Fi" in Settings > developer options. Under that option, you will see the IP. You can also see it in Settings > Connectivity > Wi-Fi > "Your Wi-Fi network".
You can connect the watch by USB cable, by bluetooth or by Wi-Fi network.
Wear OS watches are a bit unstable to stay connected to the Wi-Fi network especially if it is connected by Bluetooth with the phone, to make sure it connects smoothly when using the tool enable the "Enable Wi-Fi automatically when charging" option in Settings > developer options, and plug the watch to the charger. Another trick is to momentarily deactivate Bluetooth in the watch, the Wi-Fi network will be activated in a few seconds.
Since v10 you can use the tool in multitasking mode, i.e. you can for example backup watch apps while you are applying custom configurations. [new]
When you have finished, turn off "ADB debugging" on the watch, otherwise it will drain your watch battery...
Where to download?
Wear OS Tool v10
Method
Download and unzip in a folder the file from the "Where to download" section.
Make sure you meet all the points in the "requirements" section.
Locate the IP address of the watch as explained in the "considerations" section.
Run Wear OS Tools and enter the IP address.
If your watch is Wear OS 2 enter 5555 or nothing in the port number, and skip to step 7.
If your watch is Wear OS 3, enter the port number, which will be different from 5555
.
Select "Pair new device" or "Wireless debugging" (This step is only performed the first time) and enter the IP, port and pairing code, then re-enter the IP and port number as in the previous step
.
A notification will probably appear on the watch asking "Allow debugging?", select "Always allow from this computer".
In the tool, choose a function to run and follow the instructions on the screen.

Clarification on the new pairing procedure in Pixel Watch.
In the update in March 2023 for Pixel Watch, Google has implemented the new adb pairing procedure that had already been for some time on Android 11 and higher phones. It should be remembered that Wear OS 3 is based on Android 11, that is, watches like Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch 5 or Fossil Gen 6. For now, this procedure is only implemented on Pixel Watch, but probably in the coming months it will be implemented on the other Wear OS 3 watches.
The process is that you must first pair the watch with a device such as a PC or smartphone, entering a random pairing code and a random port number (only the first time you pair to the device) and then the connection is made through the IP address as it was done so far, but with the difference that the port number is random (it is not 5555 as before) and you will have to consult it on the watch every time you connect the watch in developer mode.
Wear OS 2 watches, and for now Wear OS 3 watches (except Pixel Watch) connect the watch as usual and with fixed port number, i.e. 5555.
What custom settings and optimizations are offered?
Apply Custom Settings on the watch from the PC (option 8) :
Hide/Display developer options menu.
Enable/Disable GPS location.
Adjust screen timeout beyond limits.
Enable/Disable ambient display.
Enable/Disable theater mode.
Enable/Disable auto brightness.
Adjust brightness manually.
Apply optimizations (option 8):
Double the speed of animations and transitions.
Optimizations to improve performance and reduce battery consumption.
Enable/disable adaptive battery management.
Enable/disable the processing speed management system.
Enable/disable useless configuration items in Galaxy Wtach 4/5.
Manage Vibration (option 4):
Enables/disables vibration when receiving calls.
Enable/disable vibration when receiving notifications.
Enable/disable vibration when touching the watch screen.
Enable/disable vibration for a specific application.
Delete cache memory (option 8).Optimize performance (option 8) .Reduce battery drain with the dexopt optimization method (option 8) .
To-Do
Force pairing with Wear OS 3 watches
Improve optimization tool with more optimization tasks (any suggestions from this thread for Samsung Galaxy devices or this thread for Pixel devices?).
Porting code to Linux and Mac via Java or Python.
I share this tool for free, to code the tool as it is now having taken me quite some time, I just ask for some feedback for the one who download it and try it.
If you are going to use it, please comment what you think or what bugs you see or what new features you suggest. Any opinion is interesting.

[Android 2.3+] Data Easy PRO (DATA SWITCH SAVE BATTERY EASY)

Stay in sync, save battery, data traffic and money.
WARNING for Android LOLLIPOP users: Mobile Connection Cycle Works only on Rooted Devices.
One of the functions that use a lot of battery is the data connection.
Using this app you can also save 30% of battery; this means that at the end of the day you can have 30% battery instead of a fully discharged battery.
This application is useful to save battery, data traffic and money, also limit the device radiation and stay in sync.
It allows you to cyclically connect to the Mobile Network or to the Wifi one to synchronize e-mail, appointments, contacts, program data, etc.
With the "Cycle when Screen Off, Connect on Screen On" option Checked you can have Automatic Connection when Screen is On and Cyclically Connection when Screen is Off; you can forget to switch the connections!
You can also delay the termination of the connections when you turn off the screen; this is useful for example when you are using a Chat App and you're waiting for a quick response.
Review on xda-developers Portal
With the "Cyclically connect regardless screen state" option checked you can Cyclically Connect when you are using the device for example, while you're watching a movie.
If a Wifi connection is available it will take precedence over the Mobile one, to save data traffic and money in case of not-flat rates.
You can also enable sounds and vibration alerts, enable and disable notifications (PRO), set start at the boot, suspend the cycle and enable connections when the device is Plugged, set the type of connection you want when you turn on the screen or the device is Plugged or Unplugged and set the times at which the cycle is suspended.
The application installs some WIDGETS that allows you to activate the cyclic connection or turn on/off quickly the Mobile and Wifi Connections.
To be synchronized and save battery power, for example, set "Activate Data Connection" every 10 minutes and "Keep Data Connection Alive" for 45 seconds.
Advanced features will be developed in the future...

hey mate! I love your app, it's the best battery saver in my opinion. but recently I have had some issues with network connection. When I switch the screen back on and cycle stops there is no network connection available, even though I status bar shows all bars and internet icon like if it was working. As soon as I reboot its fine, but after some time it happens again((( I'm on CM10 HOX. Please do something)))

Hi, first of all thank you, and since it is Christmas, I wish you happy holidays.
As for your problem, in my tests it never occurred.
My App has been tested by me on Samsung Galaxy S2 Gingerbread and Galaxy Note II Jelly Bean, both Samsung Stock firmware.
It could be a compatibility problem with CM10 or a problem with your device that might be in error turning on and off very frequently the connections.
If you do not use my program it never happens?
Try disabling my app and turning on and off very frequently the connections.
Try to use only the mobile connection (sometimes the wifi has problems) and set up a cycle long enough (at least every 10 minutes for 60 seconds of connection).
You can also try to ask to CM10 team.
As soon as possible I will install CM10 on Galaxy S2 and I will do the test.
Sincerely

[GUIDE] [G901F] [G900] Battery Life Thread (root)

Today I want to present you a guide to become good batterylife on your device 
Im a owner of a Samsung Galaxy S5 G901F.
The update to Android 5.x was horrible because the battery lives no one day on the stock rom.
At Android 4.4 there was no problem….
Here is a blended guide to help improve your android battery experience.
This should work to many other Android devices, phones, tablets too.
In my case it’s a Galaxy S5 G901F….
It runs on SimpleGX Rom 1.4.1 (based on stock BOH4 firmware).
(I have finally tested it on my Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab)
I switch firmwares on my s5+ between dokdoCM, SimpleGX and CM12.1.
This #1 Post is specially for SimpleGX and NovaRom 5.0.2.
Batterysettings for CM12.1 and DokdoRom is on Post #9.
Lets start…
Prerequisite is ROOT and Xposed framework for your firmware.
There are other posts and threads about. Im not sure.
Maybe Im looking out for the links.
Use BetterBatteryStats to make logs and see batterystats.
I don’t need Wakelock detector….
Requirements:
1.Greenify (Pro)
2.Amplify (Pro)
3.AppOpsXposed
4.PowerNap
5.Smart Network
(Additionally)
6. init.d Script for Google Play batterydrain (when the installed rom don’t have it)
7. Newest Play services and Playstore (recommended)
Basic Settings and tips:
Dont use the inbuild StamniaMode/BatterySaveMode of your Rom.
Display
Display brightness is an important factor in your batterys life. The more brighter the screen is, the more battery it drains. So keep the brightness under control or use automated brightness, but switch one level darker. Or you can try manually adjusting the screen brightness to dark. Without needing a headlight lol….
Cell Network/3G/LTE/2G
Switch LTE/3G to 2G while not in use.(while on WiFi). Use Smart Network to switch between networks.

Wifi
-Even if your wifi is off, the phone searches for signal. To switch off this feature, go to Settings > Wifi > Options in top right corner > Advanced > Scanning always available > Off
-Make sure u use a static IP. Switch to “static” as follow:
Tap long on your Wifi-network, select “advanced settings”, scroll down and change “DHCP” to “static” in IP-line.
Location
Standard juice sucker in Android is the Location Services. You can turn it off while not in use. That saves a lot of battery. You can also set the location to “Device Only" in settings.
In my case, I never used location services.
Greenify
Use Greenify to hibernate apps that are not in use.
You must buy or download Donation Package of Greenify to use all features. Once you have a Donation Package, you need to activate the Greenify Xposed Module in your Xposed Framework. Once done, setup as follow:
-enable the Boost mode on top
-enable Experimental Features
-select ALL other stuff.
Important:Set Greenify as Admin in settings/security/greenify automator
(for Samsung G901F the “deep hibernation alpha” works perfect, at some other
Devices it should not work)
--Screenshots—
When installed and activated, open the Greenify app.
Select “show all” on top right corner to see ALL stuff on your phone.
Greenify all apps that suck battery in background.
For example:
-Maps
-Hangouts
-Browser
-Facebook
-Games
-Instagram
-(Google play services, set advanced options to “status always ignore”)
-(Google Play store, set advanced options to “status always ignore”)
Its not recommended to greenify Google play services.
I can say, on my device it works well.
You must try it….
--screenshots--
Do not greenify apps as follow:
-Amplify
-Android system
-Greenify itself
-Better Battery Stats
-Xposed
-System apps
-Smart Network
-PowerNap
-AppOpsXposed
--Screenshots—
Amplify
It is a must have app for all devices running Xposed Framework.
You'll need a donation package to control wakelocks and alarms.
This is very specific to every device, because everyone have different apps on his phone/tablet.

Update:
I installed the AppOpsXposed too.
The Dokdo have its good privacyManager but the function Wake_OP Fix is lost.
The init_d as posted in first thread works.
Enjoy
Edit:
U can use kernel adiutor or NoFrillCPU from playstore to UC the CPU.
In my case the CPU is at 2.2Ghz, interaktive, row.
Works without problems.
(And yes I play HD-Games in my phone too)
Excellent work on the guide!!
2015-10-09
Updated Amplify alarms/wakelocks/services without lost comfort on my phone.
If i disable the google play services in xposed i get google play services stopped every few minutes. How can i solve this?
edit: it happens when I am turning my location on.
I applied almost everything in this thread, but still my battery drains like hell when I am using it.
Wipe cache wipe in recovery. U mean AppOps? Or xposed?
Here is a blended guide to help improve your android battery experience.
This should work to many other Android devices, phones, tablets too.
This post is specially for G901F with Dokdo 7.1.0 and later, CM12.1 latest, Android 5.1.1.
Not for Samsung based Roms like SimpleGX and Nova 5.0.2
Lets start…
Prerequisite is ROOT and Xposed framework for your firmware.
There are other posts and threads about. Im not sure.
Maybe Im looking out for the links.
Use BetterBatteryStats to make logs and see batterystats.
I don’t need Wakelock detector….
Requirements:
1.Greenify (Pro)
2.Amplify (Pro)
3.AppOpsXposed
4.PowerNap
5.Smart Network
6. init.d Script for Google Play batterydrain (when the installed rom don’t have it)
7. Newest Play services and Playstore (recommended)
8. MyAndroidTools (Pro)
9. NoFrillsCPUcontrol
Basic Settings and tips:
You can use the inbuild StamniaMode/BatterySaveMode of your Rom additionally.
Google Sync
Enable GoogleSync
Bluetooth
Disable Bluetooth when not in use.
This is a little bug to SmartNetwork. When using SmartNetwork your Bluetooth is always on.
Go to SmartNetworkApp and then click "advanced", then "Keep manual settings(BETA)"
Now you can shut down Bluetooth manually. It keeps off then.
-Maps
-Hangouts
-Browser
-Facebook
-Games
-Instagram
-Google play services, set advanced options to “status always ignore”
-Google Play Games
-AliExpress
-UCCW
-NHL2K
Its not recommended to greenify Google play services.
I can say, on my device it works well.
You must try it….
--screenshots--
Do not greenify apps as follow:
-Amplify
-Android system
-CyanogenModSystem
-Greenify itself
-Better Battery Stats
-Xposed
-System apps
-Smart Network
-PowerNap
-AppOpsXposed
--Screenshots—
Amplify
It is a must have app for all devices running Xposed Framework.
You'll need a donation package to control wakelocks and alarms.
This is very specific to every device, because everyone have different apps on his phone/tablet.

If you encounter any delayed Push Notification from any app after using this thread,
try the PNFroot Fix from Playstore. Setup to Mobile 6/WiFi 5 minutes.
Init.d to fix batterydrain
Especially for our G901F.
A few roms already have this https://mega.nz/#!a8lX2BTJ!RoeyURaXMkYZmnWzZV3q4uuf9fQMW4cU2gral5DhSMk fix. (Nova 1.3, SimpleGX 1.4.1)
Your Rom should have init.d support.
Place this script to etc/init.d folder as root and set permissions to 755.
MyAndroidTools (Pro)
A wakelock called "location service" drains my battery like hell.
There was no wakelock in Amplify found.
But in Greenify the "location service" stays always on.
To fix this issue please load the app MyAndroidTools Pro from Playstore.
When granted SU permissions, open the app and go to SERVICE.
Then to SYSTEM at the top.
Scroll down to LocationServices and tap it.
Set "GeoFenceService" and "LocationService" to "off".
The two keeps RED.
NoFrillsCPUcontrol:
Install from Playstore.
Get SU permissions and set:

FAQ
Q:How to make Android Wear work with this ROM?
A: In Performance Settings use the build.prop editor to set ro.build.type=user, then reboot and you can install Android Wear. Thanks @redandr for figuring it out. Fixed in 7.1.1 build.
Q: What is it that makes your ROM unique?
Am I seeing this right? There is basically three times the same ROM now?
Click to collapse
A: That is a an oversubtle statement. Actually, it is correct that I have used portions from the initial Pure Nexus code base (Build, Framework and PureSettings) from September to help me get started with creating this custom ROM. I don't have plans to make a derivative of the Pure Nexus ROM by copying every little feature from their code base. As stated in the OP my idea of this ROM is to put a limited set of the nicest features, which I personally miss in stock Android OS.
Q: But why change the phone name to PIXEL L?
A: It is a cheat to make the "Google Assistant" work on a non-Pixel device. In order to enable Google Assistant, you are also required to install the latest Google App (6.5.35.21 or newer).
- In addition, you have to download a language pack to allow Google Assistant to use it for speech recognition. Be aware that the "voice recognition" setup is not working -- but it won't prevent the Google Assistant from working. Just skip the voice recognition" setup.
- In order to make the "Google Assistant" launch by long pressing home button, go to Settings > Apps > Configure Apps > Start-App, and select Pixel Launcher as default app.
Q: Is your ROM ready fo daily use?
A: I use this ROM for more than 4 weeks, and I didn't experience any crash, soft reboot or other issues. If you happen to find an issue or something weird, please leave your feedback.
Known issues:
*Video recording with the built-in Snap cam on 1080p produces a flickering video file -- however video playback on Full HD is working nicely.
*Good news! You can make a flawless video recording by using Google Camera 4.1.
*In case that you have dirty flashed a newer version of the ROM, it is very likely that googles apps are FC'ing (e.g.: calendar, maps, notes, google app, etc.) -- the only way to get this fixed is to uninstall and re-install the affected apps
*In rare cases, e.g. while using resource hungry apps like google maps, it could occur that the app hangs up and as a results your touchscreen becomes unresponsive. You will be able to hold down the power button to bring up the power menu, but you are not able to tap on it.
-> WORKAROUND: hold down the power button for a few seconds to forcefully shut down your device. it seems to be a bug in googles nougat code: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/WjTOVNSc69k
Feature Requests:
In case that you are missing a super awesome feature, and you think it could be a great addition to this ROM, then please use the Feature Requests category in the menu bar of this thread to submit your inquiries. Thanks in advance!
First !!!!! Oh yeah !
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Nice one.
So you merge PN and Revival kernel ?
Ok so whats the difference between this rom and PN?
Thanks for this ROM, when I will be home, I will flash it.
Trimis de pe al meu Nexus 4 folosind Tapatalk
Is that lockscreen lag issue still there like all N roms for Mako? (Sometimes you have to swipe multiole times to unlock the device and at first it doesn't swipe at all, and same for notifications on lockscreen) @spezi77 this is not a bug report just a little question. And thanks for the rom. İt has everything I need. Thanks again for your efforts. And will you merge r14 or another instead of r6?
Downloading now!
Some info for everyone to know:
The Google's October patches screwed up the smoothness of the notification panel, like really badly. When you try to expand a set of grouped/bundled notifications, you'll notice a stutter. It gets annoying every time you try to do that. So the conclusion is that the "7.0.0_r14" patches are way worse than "7.0.0_r6" where the same scenario is buttery smooth, or at least close to it. So if you see "7.0.0_r6" in the description, it's because it's for the best.
So to answer the above question: no the stutter in the notification panel is not there because spezi didn't upgrade to r14, which is the best thing cause r6 is better.
Am I seeing this right? There is basically three times the same ROM now?
This rom can record video in 1080p?

You're actually wrong. The ROM started from a PN base but Spezi has "detached" from it. It's gonna pack more features and it will be as polished as possible considering that the dev is the owner of the phone he's developing for. So while PN has a set of features, NeXus4ever will have more and probably a lot different or similar, etc. But it's not PN, not anymore.

Video playback on 1080p is flickering while 720p is doing good. Other than that it is buttery smooth.

Because that's the onyl way to make the "Google Assistant" work on a non-Pixel device.

That is a an oversubtle statement. Actually, it is correct that I have used portions from the initial Pure Nexus codebase (Build, Framework and PureSettings) from September to help me get started with creating the custom ROM. I don't have plans to make a derivative of the Pure Nexus ROM by copying every little feature from their codebase. As stated in the OP my idea of this ROM is to put a limited set of the nicest features, which I personally miss in stock Android OS.

Confirmed. Could you please check what is the situation when you watch the 1080p video on your PC?
Currently, I don't know what went wrong. I have used the set of patches by @zaclimon. Maybe there is a commit that was forgotten by me or not pushed to his github..

BORETS ROM for Asus Zenfone 6 & Zenfone 5

I represent the modified stock firmware, based on the firmware 3.24.40.87 Zenfone 6 (Android 5.0), as well as Zenfone 2 / Zoom / Zenfone 3 ZS550KL (5.0, 6.0.1, 7.0) firmware. ROOT already integrated. Video review here:
Disclaimer: I remind you that everything you do on your fear and risk. I'm not responsible for the breakdown of devices, bricks caused by your own hands (well, my hands, too, it's true, software to kill iron is unlikely to come out)
How to install:1. Requires an unlocked bootloader and TWRP !!!
2. Install the firmware. Installation takes place quickly, about 1 minute. When installing the firmware, the most recent TWRP 3.0M5
Attention! The first start of the firmware after the wipes can reach 10-15 minutes.
Development is hard work. If you want to support not only beautiful words, my profile has information on how it can be done

Features:
0. Despite the fact that I tried to make firmware based on the most extreme firmware of android 5, where already the asus changed the theme engine and sawed out the possibility of changing the themes of the status bar and settings, I saved this opportunity!
1. Setup wizard, sound service, preset from Zenfone 2 and 3 (6.0.1, 7.0). In addition to the usual effects added "Pure" - when the headphones are inserted and "Outdoor" - for the external speaker. Asus Music the newest version 2.1.0.40, which modified to work on 5.0, in the code frameworks made the relevant edits, so that the asus music did not crash after every reboot of the phone, also from this player there is access to the equalizer (item Fine tuning) Sound in the headphones really cool
2. The kernel I modified with a lot of governors and optimizations, the Mass Storage mode, the fix of the stock core, which could not catch the network after the exit from the subway or cellars, fixes of the device hangs on charging, etc. Thanks @nheolinkin https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/general/share-discussion-users-problems-unlock-t3629739
3. Curtain almost in the style of Zenfone 3 Android 7.0 with the corresponding icons therefrom, also an increased grid of 5x4 titles, the Android system icon and debugging from ydb from android 7, the icon of the system's graphical interface from android 6.0.1, reduced the minimum possible number of items for quick settings (Not counting the first line of the quickbox-quickbox) from 8 to 5
4. Extended reboot menu with items for quick reboot, reboot into bootloader and recovery + at the bottom of setting sound modes
5. Added a response to the call by applying the phone to your ear (Settings- ZenMotion- click on the text "Motion gestures" - the menu will open and you will place the appropriate checkboxes there). It does not work very well, it is necessary to apply it quite sharply to the ear, but it does work nonetheless. During the incoming call, hold the phone in front of you in your hand, bent at the elbow and along the arc, without bending the elbow, bring to the ear, there will be a pick-up
6. Start the camera by double pressing the volume buttons when the phone is sleeping and the screen is not lit (Settings-Lock Screen-Current Camera)
7. Advanced adjustment of screenshots (disabling / enabling the sound of the shutter, the format of screenshots). In the main Settings menu item "Screenshot"
8. Updated a bunch of services and applications to the extreme firmware of zenfon 2 5.0 2.20.40.198 and something borrowed from its own sewing zenfon 2 on 6.0.1
9. The menu of the recent applications as in 6.0.1 (flat)
10. Due to the lack of space in the system partition, massive sawing was necessary. The first thing, demolished the Asus Mobile Manager. This is the main evil, android himself is able to clean and programs know whether to auto-start them or not. If you think that if the asus mobile manager writes that 10000 applications were stopped by the autorun manager, then it does not mean that they all started, in fact, 10-15 pieces, and the rest did not work without the manager. In general, this rubbish with advertising and pictures, which only harms and eats. You can not try to put it from the market, write that the device is not supported
11. App powersaver and the modes themselves took from zenfon 2 and something under our devices adapted. Unlike some incomprehensible modes, they actually change something to the zenophon 5 and 6, for example, when switching from the performance mode to the optimal illumination of the screen, the brightness (inoutdoor mode) is slightly reduced and the frequency drops to 1600 MHz. And, in general, it is better to always use a productive mode, oddly enough, the battery holds better.
12. Accelerated update of the davick cache and it takes up less memory, however, there may be performance sagging the first minutes after reboots.
13. Full support for Asus Flip Cover 2
14. I borrowed the brightness levels of the display from Zenphon 2 and added a few to reduce the minimum manual and auto brightness
15. Firmware already rooted, built-in SuperSu
16 Modified ZenUI Launcher with autorotate homescreen, smooth scaling, extra font sizes, extra dock bar
16. Other, I forgot already what I added
Current known issues :
1. Randomly turn on camera led after wake screen with double tap/press power button. For turn off led should lock/unlock screen again

This ROM is really "PRO": a lot of mods and configurations like no other ROMs (without Xposed obviously). A very nice job guys!
