Likely a process related to the camera. Trial and error?
the camera works fine, that isn't the point
i tried to delete the apps seperately and tested after that. all working fine, but if i restart my phone it seems that the scanner is broken again.
everytime restarting after delete 1 app is quite a bit frustrating

search it has been discussed previously..
too lazy..
put the email.apk back in /system/app and run once on boot.
i havent found any discussion there, so i started this topic.
it seems that putting email.apk do the trick, even with a correct mtp-connection.
i cant understand why it's so serious, but it does the work.
thanks for your help, you getting me bit closer to absolutely clean my phone.
if anyone knows which processes aren't really needed for daily use feel free to list them up (a little explain what the process does/is used for would be nice)

widget hat records battery drain etc....

I'm trying to remember the name of the widget that records battery drain and charging current.....

Easiest way to preserve apps and homescreens when changing roms?

Hello,
Just wondering what the easiest way to preserve your apps and homescreens when switching Roms.
With all of these crazy JB roms coming out I want to try them all out. However, I've spent a lot of time organizing and downloading apps.
I know there's Titanium Update(?), which I have used in the past, but is there anything else?
How do you guys do it?
Thanks.

[Q] [AOKP 4.1] Experiencing very bad battery life

After a full charge, without even touching it, it drains the battery quite fast! Also I've been on a full Charge and not even an hour of screen time and already 65%. And I've only been using Talk and the xda premium app.
My current rom is aokp_galaxysmtd_jb_build-4
I would most appreciate it if any of you would suggest different kernels or roms or something that could help me with this situation.
Get the BetterBattery Stats app from the market. It gives a much more detailed view on what is eating your battery. I had a similar problem and helped me out with finding a bad app running in the background.

Thank you very much, I'm going to try it and let you know.
EDIT: I used the app, and it doesn't seem like any apps are running in the background other then the default apps such as calander, google search, clock, etc...
Likely it's just my faulty rom (AOKP). I will consider changing it. Thanks for the help btw!
I am running DarkyROM with a semaphore kernel. Really fast and great battery life.

Make sure to also check CPU states in the BetterBatteryStats app. When not doing anything your phone should go into deep sleep. If it doesnt, you can check the Kernel Wakelock en Partial Wakelocks in that app to see what is keeping your phone awake.
PS: I'm using X-Bean 3.0 rom with Semaphore kernel 2.6.1 and very happy with it.
