No !!!
You can buy special BT headset with BT adapter for your XDA1. Look at JABRA - they offer their headset with a bundled adaptor for many bluetooth-non-enabled phones, including XDA1 !

yes but thats a specific wireless headset which may use bluetooth but could aswell use anything else to transfer the sound signal it's not A BT headset as in any type of BT headset and they dont support commends and other stuff which with the right profile a real BT headset would

But it is strange that isn't a Usb-Bluetooth compact adaptor for this phone, that's a lot of standard usb-bluetooth converter it isn't possible to join this peripherals with the xda usb-connector ?

unlike firewire where all devices on a firewire chain can be masters then on usb there are masters and peripherals
and peripherals cant talk to other peripherals
only masters can do that and the xda is a peripherals
and not a master
thats why usb devices dont work with xda

I'm a programmer but I have never develop applications for usb, in any case the Usb is a serial bus nothing else i dont understand this master-slave concept, on the bus u can run anything the usb-bluetooth key works on pc why they not funtions on xda ?

Possible GPS hack

I have a Garmin GPS 18 USB Laptop Receiver which is a GPS receiver with a standard USB adapter on it.
Has anyone tried to use a female to male mini adapter and plug this into the mogul.
I have the Garmin Software for the mogul, but would this work and be able to be picked up by the software.
Also what would you suggest for drivers
Adapters don't matter if the device won't work that way.
These phones are designed to be a USB Client Device. Not a USB Host Device.

GPS fix for you if you have the snarlgies
Snarglies: /noun/ from the remulak vocabulary meaning balls ;-) The reason I say this is because there is on this forum a ROM and radio update that will enable GPS (internal) and REV-A (faster EVDO) features of your unit.

Using TYTN stereo adapter on the Kaiser

Hi everyone,
I am having a strange problem. I am trying to use the headset and stereo adapter I got for use with my TyTn (8525). These do not work on my Kaiser/Tilt. I looked at the plug, and it doesn't appear to be double sided. The Kaiser wiki says that there is an enhanced usb plug on the Kaiser, one side for usb and another for audio. Could it be that the TyTn output the audio over usb and the Kaiser doesn't? I am having trouble getting these accessories to work. I am hoping there is a registry setting I can change to allow for this, so I do not have to buy new accessories.
I appreciate any help that anyone can offer on this matter.

Not at all. the wired headsets used on the TyTN and TyTN II do not incorporate any sort of decoding hardware that would be required in a standard USB headphone arrangement. HTC's extUSB socket certainly shares USB functionality and audio but audio doesn't go through the USB bus, there are seperate pins for that. I have a 3 in one USB adapter sold for use with the original TyTN but it works fine in between my TyTN II and its supplied wired headphones.
That's very strange then. None of my accessories seem to work. Any idea why this might be?

Headset Or Usb headphones?

I need a decent way to listen to music through my kasier. first of all is there a place to buy usb headphones; at a brick and mortor store. I dont really want to buy online. Or simply whats the easiest and cheapest product to buy.
no htc use usb headphones
usb headphones are kinda like external soundcards like usb speakers
kaiser dont support usb host so cant use usb devices
htc however have their own usb connection called extUSb
which apart from being usb also carry 2 analog audio lines
headsets which use extUSB can be used to listen to audio
but they must be compatible with htc
You'll be able to find HTC replacement headphones with the proprietary plug but they're usually crap. So, get one of those adapters: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2715504#post2715504 and use any good standard headphone you have.
alternatively you can use bluetooth stereo headphones...

Ipod to micro usb

Hello,
I'm new and have read a lot about de HD2 witch i have.
Just normal rom with some extra programs.
I'm looking (maybe manny other people) for a female ipod adapter to (micro/mini) usb. There are a lot of (music)docking stations for the ipod but nothing with a micro usb connection. so with a adapter from a female ipod too a micro.mini usb we have tons of interesting accesories.
I hope sombody can help me and others.
sorry for my bad english.
Wesley
Useless. All you could do is charge the phone and connect to a PC with USB cable. No sound, no video, no extra functions as those use extra connections and proprietary protocols that only the iphone has.
pretty much agree with kilrah, even if in theory some accessories geared towards just the audio could benefit from a ipod->microusb+jack solution, even if that would be ugly
Reality is, ipod/iphone specific accessories are 90% for "happy people" (read carefully through the words), and a hd2 user true to himself doesn't want those
i agree with you ephestione...
if the HD2 had all the endlessly possible amount of accesories like the iphone, i wouldn't want a HD2.
i like the exclusivity(?) of my HD2, i like that some people find the sheer size of the HD2 offensive, i like the looks on their faces when i show them how much better it is than an iphone.
with accesories comes more customers looking for the latest fad, i dont want that. if i want an accesory, i'll make it myself
i cannot tear myself away from this forum no matter how hard i try
for audio i just use a simple 3.5mm jack to 2 phono, plugged into my hi-fi...
bluetooth and windows sideshow when im showing off
So you guys wouldn't want a Bose sound dock?
We could just use a phono lead as quasi_mojo said and hook it up to a bose hi-fi
both my hd2 and my bluetooth headset use the same micro usb, so i only need one wall charger and one car charger...
i use bluetooth to play audio through my car headunit, a jack to phono cable for playing on my home hifi, bluetooth again with sideshow or g-remote to control my media pc's...
i dont really see the need for another cable based on what the hd2 is capable of...wireless options are always going to be better
what excatly did you have in mind when you started this thread?
and no i wouldnt want a bose sound dock, mainly because of the ridiculous price and also due to the national grid already struggling to provide my house with enough juice to power the gear i have already lol

[Q] SGS as a sound card?

Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to use phone as a sound card via USB cable? (wi-fi will also do) I broke my 3,5mm audio jack on a laptop. So if you guys know any app or anything at all, please do tell me.
Thanks in advance.
audio over wi-fi impossible because of bad latency (slow delay)
audio over usb possible in theory, but requires firmware modification and pc driver modification (I don't think anyone done that)
audio over bluetooth possible and must be easy, probably work on any firmware.
pc usb audio card:

I am aware of the low prices of USB sound cards. I was just wondering if there is a way to stream all audio from pc to phone via USB cable, for android everything is possible. Well if there is no way to do that, I can live with that.
