MS Voice Command - Caller ID/Messages - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hello,
a.) Have someone managed with the 1.60.4xx german version to announce the caller name through the BT headset? If yes, pls how!
b.) Have someone managed to announce the sms/email messages through the BT Headset?
All other functions works with the bt headset.
Thanks!

I didn't want to start a new thread on a similar subject so I thought I would ask here....
I love MSVC and have used it on two other HTC phones (Touch and Prophet. However, I got one BIG issue with it now...
When I receive an incoming call during call waiting, the caller's name gets YELLED at to me while I am on the line with the other person! If I don't want to hang up on the other party or switch to them, the yelling continues till the call hangs up! I can't hear anything except for the woman's voice nagging at me, telling me who wants to speak to me..... How do I stop this? It never used to be this loud or intrusive.
I wish some things could be configured with VC.....take for example the fact that I rather not have my appointments spoken to me at times.....or even the caller ID read out. EVERYONE around me knows who is calling! I like my privacy....
I like to talk to my phone and ask it things and tell it what to do...MSVC does it well.....what I hate is that the phone talks to me when I don't ask for it!!
Any solutions?
Edit- I don't want to hijack the original question. Hopefully someone can answer them as well....I want to know as much as I can about this app....

MS Voice Command 1.6 German
Hello Guys ...
I read much about MS VC 1.6 cause Cyberon Voice Speed Dial
doesn´t work well in German - and would like to test it now.
Could someone please provide a download link?!
Thanks!

bluetooth doesnt ring for call waiting

1st off yes I searched the site. so here's the trouble. while on a call and I receive another call neither the phone or the bluetooth rings. this just started happening today and there have been no software changes in over 2 weeks. deleted any software that I thought might afect it..msvc and inesoft address book pro. only way I know I have another call is to watch the screen. any help is appreciated. I will survive the endless mocking of did you search questions as long as you are kind enough to tell me what search string you used maybe ill just flash a new rom and reload tonight....hrmmmm
so i flashed a few new roms and the problem still exists. the set im using is motorola s9's. also the phone itself no longer rings while the bluetooth is connected for call waiting calls. with no bluetooth the call waiting works fine. tried the s9's on my old sync and the call waiting works just fine...

[Request] Undetecatable Call Blocking

I have been looking for this since I first started using Windows Mobile.
Unfortunately, most of the softwares out there (because they are not built into the ROM) can not reject calls without the other side knowing. I have tried every software out there, all of them are the same, the caller will hear a ring, or part of a ring, then they will get a busy signal (rejected).
I can't believe this is hard to create, I use to have it 12 years ago in my BASIC alcatel phone. When a black listed caller dials, they get nothing .. or get an out of coverage message from the operator. I believe the way it worked, is that the phone detects the caller number, BEFORE responding that it has acknowledged the call and is ringing.
I guess that is why I am saying that it is built in to the ROM as a driver or something, and not just a software.
Any Ideas, thoughts, where I can find this, anyone WILLING to make it ?
I know there are some recent roms being created that has the call blocking feature built in. i'm using one those roms, which is indicated in my signature. when u mentioned that you've tried them (call blocking applications) all, were they free and/or commercial apps, or apps created in the development/hacking section? Collectively speaking, there's alot of those types of applications floating out there, but maybe you've already tried those.

1st off, change your number
if that doesn't suite your needs make a fake dial tone which states your number is not in service as your voicemail while using call firewall. after a few weeks the person will give up calling you. Callers will receive one full ring and it will go to your new fake voicemail after blocking them, which they will perceive as your phone being turned off or changed your number.
common sense now pay me.
hahahah nice one .. except the keyword here is UNDETECTABLE ... if they know i changed my number or i am blocking them, they will find me and ask for the NEW number ....
As I said before, the only device I saw that feature on, was the really old alcatel models; which didn't give you a ring, didn't give you a busy tone, probably just ignored the request coming in from the telco when it is one of the black listed numbers.
Nice try, but I would pay you, if you could do the same on windows mobile. By the way I was testing an alpha versio of the cruise before it was launched, and it actually (accidently) opened the speaker, before you actually picked up the phone call, so the other side could hear you, before you even answer.
Thus, I am sure these things are possible, if there is someone who has the knowledge, and power to play with the operator
I haven't tried anything comercial, didn't find what i was looking for. If you know of any comercial software or freeware that does what i am stating. i.e. doesn't ring before it blocks the call. That would be great
I have something called MAGICALL, and it works great. You can set it to pick up then hang up, however the best part is that the call doesnt "come through" or let the phone ring. Unless you specify the software to give you a pop up message indicating it blocked a call. I love it since it doesnt even let the phone ring, its like if you never got called.
Same thing, I already tried MagiCall and it rings once to the caller, and then disconnects. Very obvious that you are avoiding the person.
I currently use a free voicemail feature called YouMail, which has call filtering and call blocking features. You can block calls (I believe) and also create a unique voicemail greetings for those you want/trying to avoid as well. www.youmail.com
I also use magicall for this. As an action I choose 'ignore' and then the caller just hears the phoen ringing, the connection is not broken. And you, well you hear and see nothing so you are not disturbed. Is that not what you want/?
Not exactly, ignore is a nice feature if you dont' want to be disturbed, but if someone is constantly bugging you; you would like them not to even reach your phone (so they don't come next day in the office, and say I left you three missed calls, and you didn't answer me).
It would be easier if they just got a this phone is out of coverage (or something similar) from the operator; then you can always blame the operator, that they couldn't reach you ... you get my drift ?
Yeah, I get your drift. But, if you're not reachable, then I guess it's the provider that sends back a message to the caller. I don't think your phone can send that message to the caller.
Moreover in most cases if you're not reachable then the caller also gets sent to your voicemail and he can also leave a message and come to you next day asking why you didn't react to his voice messages.
So the only option would be to send a message back saying that the number doesn't exist. But again, you would have to be able to spoof a provider based message for that.
I see these options when a caller really wants to get hold of you and you don't want to react:
* drop the call after 1 ring: caller notices he gets dropped, gets pissed an comes to see you
* send message back saying you're out of coverage: caller leaves message, which you ignore, caller gets pissed and comes to see you
* send a message back saying that the number doesn't exist: caller inquires whether you changed number, finds out you didn't, gets pissed and comes to see you
* silently ignore him: caller leaves a message, which you ignore, caller gets pissed and comes to see you.
Seems you're screwed either way
Why not simply answer the call and tell the caller to f*ck off. He's bound to get pissed also but at least he'll leave you alone and you'll feel relieved.
Well for one, I don't use voice mail ... secondly, because it is the provider that sends the message, it is authentic....
So if your mobile ... somehow ... ignores the call coming from the provider ... the provider sends a message saying that the mobile is out of coverage ...

Hmm, you're asking for someone to develop a piece of software because you have no spine? I know of no Java/.Net/etc API that is better than the truth. Tell the person to leave you be. The currently available call firewalls work great for when you need to be in a "Call Free Environment."
It has nothing to do with my spine; and I currently have NO ONE harasing me; but I believe that the current Call firewalls have a disadvantage, and lack a feature.
I wish there was someone in XDA-Developers who is willing to spend some time to make some adjustments to one of the ROMs to have this built in. Especially as this feature is available in historic phones that have a lot less features than a WM.
Im also using Magicall for this & its working great, the other party doen't even hear a ring. It has many other features too.

Can't hear my dialog partner when using VoiP

Hi,
I installed the Voip.cab for WM6.1 to get voip funcionality.
I have the problem, that I can't hear my partner, when I'm calling via VoiP.
I can dial normally, the phone of my partner rings, but I can't hear anything. The phone recognizes, that my partner picked up the phone and starts the clock of the call duration. When I speak, my partner can hear me, but not in the other direction. I can't hear anything.
If I call my Voip-number, my diamond also doesn't ring.
Is there anything I forgot in the settings?
Thank you!!!
Please help
If anyone knows a hint or a workaround, just let me know!
I need it on christmas eve!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Hennes
i think that you have to open concrete ports in fiewall to avoid this one-way audio issue. i don´t remember which ports do you have to open. check voipbuster.com forums and you´ll get it.
Hi,
thanks for your hint, but after lots of reading in voipbuster and google I have found nothing, which really works for my diamond. Many others wrote about these problems with Touch Diamond.
I only found Port 5060, which I opened. But nothing changed:
I can call anybody, anybody can call and hear me. But I hear nothing.
Can anyone give concrete hints for this problem?
Thank you very much!

Hi,
I could finally manage to solve my problem. But now I can only hear my partner thru the external speaker.
Does anyone know, how to set the output to internal speaker.
Thank you
Hennes

Call Queue

Hi Before I purchased my Kaiser i had a Sony Ericsson phone, my old phone gave me a signal when the person I was calling was handling another call. This is not happening with my Kaiser, anyone know of an application that can make this on the Kaiser or can anyone develop one? (I know it still working because I just test it with my old phone)
Thanks
Bump, Anyone?
as far as i know, if you call a person who is busy on another line, my network plays a prerecorded female voice that says:
"The number you have dialed is busy on another line. Please wait."
i had a cheap-ass motorola phone and this is what i heard. after upgrading to the kaiser, i hear the SAME THING, nothing more, nothing less.
what i mean to say is that MAYBE the sony ericsson was doing something propriatory that might not be considered a "standard feature" and therefore the kaiser (and my previous cheap-ass motorola and countless other basic bare bone phones i've used) doesn't include it.
HOWEVER, when I myself am on the phone and someone calls me, the kaiser beeps/rings/vibrates (depending on the sound profile and settings) to indicate i have a call waiting.

ASCIIker I Completely understand what your saying, when you call someone that is busy on another line your carrier gives you a message saying that the caller is busy on the other line and to wait, in my carrier it doesn't happen like that, you get the same tone as if the caller its not on another call, so that's why this tools is handy at least with my carrier, In my case it goes like these, it rings and in the middle of the first ring it gives me a tone(and also shows a message saying "caller busy"), with my kaiser it doesn't do it.
Thanks for the reply

Blue Ant Q1 with HD2 TMO_US

Well, as the title states, Blue Ant Q1 paired with US HD2: Does it work with US HD2 as reported with other phones? The story is kinda funny and I'll tell it if asked but just main details for now.....
I was speaking with an *irrate* iPhone user who really is considering becoming an ex-iPhone user after introducing him to my HD2. He went into "research mode" and frantically tried to find shortcomings to convince me that I made a mistake in claiming the his device is no longer top dog in the world of hand held "Super Phones". In his rant, he finally had to admit, and I quote, "you're phone is the sh!t, you might make me switch...." long story short.
To his credit, I will admit, He brought up a "stumper" question that I have been trying to find the answer for. IS THERE A BT HEADSET THAT WILL ANNOUNCE INCOMING CALLS AND/OR PLAY CALLER ID RINGTONES WITH HD2 US? I had been trying to get my caller-id's to play through the headset since three phones ago. From what I have recently read, the Blue Ant Q1 announces the incoming caller's phone number in the BT and asks "would you like to answer or decline?" (or something to that degree) then waits for your response, as well as a few very useful voice commands such as "pair device" etc.......
Any one using this headset with HD2 that can shed some light?
If it matters, I am a US Tmobile customer using the new HD2
ROM ver.2.10.531.1 (82076) WWE
Radio 2.08.50.08_2
OS 5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87)
I don't know about the Q1 but I have the Blueant V1 and the US HD2 and it announces for me. Don't see why the Q1 wouldn't either.

Thanks. I read that also, but I believe the Q1 is newer. I don't know that one is better than the other. But at least I have a confirmation from one user.....YOU.
Does it announce the number? Contact name? Caller tone?
Update, Blue Ant just released a T1 Model which looks similar to the Q1. I have only read some specs. One major difference is that it is capable of announcing caller's NAME for incoming calls. Also it touts wind noise cancellation of 20+ miles per hour. I cannot find any pricing on it nor a vendor who offers it as of yet. On their website, Blue Ant shows the V1, Q1 and T1 in this category. I'm liking the Q1 for looks, price (although pricey), function and word-of-mouth (and reviews) ratings. Any additional input will benefit other users who find product in their choices.
UPDATE:::::
Blue Ant Q1 does, in fact, announce incoming calls by phone number while the phone plays the ringer and ringer ID. I just wish it would play my ringer IDs too. But at least I have audible caller id in one form.
Love my BlueAnt Q1
I used the BlueAnt Q1 with my HD2 and my iPhone 3Gs. When I receive and incoming call it does announce the number that is calling me but not the caller name. The BlueAnt also works perfectly and with MSVC. I can easily call people without having to take the phone out of my pocket. Simply press the button and say "Phone command." It will activate the phones built in voice command. Works flawlessly. Also if you update your BlueAnt Q1 with version 8.19 you can also stream music through A2DP which also works really well and sounds better on the HD2 than my iPhone 3Gs.
Side note. I once put my BlueAnt through the washer and dried and after all of that it still works and continues to work to this day with 0 issues. The BA is by far the best Bluetooth headset I have used on a phone. I highly recommend it.

I can't seem to MSVC to work with mine. Maybe you can give some insight. Is there an instruction posted somewhere?
Latest update is 8.21; I did the update yesterday.

nice thanks for the update on the BlueAnt Q1. I will update the BlueAnt to that version and let you know if I am still able to do it. I have version 8.19 now.
Update:
No problem initiating microsoft voice command with the BlueAnt. Simply press the outside button and say "Phone command" It should tell you that it's initiating the phones built in voice command. If that doesn't work make sure the ROM you are using has it installed and enabled.

Here is a .cab file for you. credit to NRGZ28
it will install in Settings > Personal. Make sure it's enabled there and then try again.
BTW the firmware update for the Q1 signigicantly improves the sound quality on the device.

Thanks, AllTheWay, and congrats on the upgrade. It helped mine too, but it's getting tired and quirky. I'm looking forward to the release of the T1.
As it turns out, MSVC v1.6.21889 came installed in the stock ROM. I'm not sure how to use it with Q1 though. Maybe I will wait til the T1 is available since I plan on giving it a try.

Like I said pair up your Q1 with your phone. Push the outside button on the Q1. say "Phone command" and MSVC will start. You will hear a beep, then you can say "call (contact name)" or "dial (phone number). you can also say things like "what time is it" "what is my signal strength."
etc.

Well, Duh, DUH, Duh on me. I obviously can't read. When you type quotation marks around something, it does mean ........ any how, I pressed the blue ant button and was failing to say "phone command" which is the activation for MSVC, DOH!! Tweak found. Well it was me and not my device. Now the only thing I need to accomplish is getting the ringtones to play into the headset.
Thanks for clearing that part up for me.
