K Jam

I would like to have some comments about the KJam Compare with PDA2k :twisted: :twisted: :?:

I think that the PDA2K is a far better unit than the K-Jam as you have a faster processor and you don't have to change screen orientation every time you want to use the keyboard. I think a PDA2K upgraded to WM5 is far better than the K-Jam.

However, BT and especially WiFi on the K-Jam are much better than the PDA2K, so if that's important to you, consider the upgrade. I made the switch back in April and haven't regretted it for a second.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth may be better on the K-Jam but you've only got a 200 MHz Processor whereas the PDA2K has a 400 MHz Processor. The screen is much bigger on the PDA2K so for office documents a larger screen makes them easier to read. You also have more memory with the PDA2K. Just some points to consider.

Tried that as well just now. Couldn't get it to work either. Haven't dared to try Softick CardExport yet....
Might have to do a hard reset again (have issues with the phone locking up the device). That would my chance of trying. If and when I do, I'll report back.

Softick CardExport does not work (yet) either. The TyTN II however is not the only WM6 device where it does not work. On the Palm Treo 750 on WM6 neither of the two works either.
I guess it;s just a matter of time before the authors of either program issues a real WM6 compatible update.
I am a registered user of Softick CardExport and have mailed the author for info about an eventual upgrade.

CardExportII does work on Tilt but I couldnt get WM5Storage V1.78Beta2 to work with the Tilt.

Softik CardExport II does work on HTC Kaiser.
I bought it and use it without any problem.
Even I created a script (mortscript) that can launch CardExport II with USB charge disabled

This identiaclly named thread from September minus the !!!
WM5torage will work but it needs the drivers that Card Export uses. Trial version apparently works, I'm not sure if WM5Torage carries on working after the Card Export trial expires.

Still using WM5torage reguraly on my TyTN II, with a shortcut to the expired Card Export II in \Windows\Startup. With my tip mentioned in the other thread the CE client will start at startup and exit right away. No trayicon will show, and WM5torage will work.
Update: WM5Torage stops working when the trial is expired. I modified the registry so that the trayclient thought it was expired. W5Torage still worked. Now that the actual trial period is passed, also WM5torage stops working.

TomTom 6.030 Needed

Hi,
I searched both TomTom thread and the forum and still could not find the .cab files for 6.030 (I only find 6.032 which is not working with my Kaiser).
Anyone can help me?

if you have a TyTN II, use the TomTom that came with your phone on the disc.
if you have a Tilt, use the cab that I posted in my tomtom tilt (working) post. search for it.
if you have one of the other variations, I can't help you

I dont have TomTom on my cd.
I have tried installing 6.0302 and it wont work (need to upgrade ROM notice).
Anyone knows how to fix this problem? I saw couple of post regarding this error but still no resolution.
If I installed 6.030, how can I get my trial map?

you paid for a TyTN II from HTC and you dont have TomTom on the disc that they gave you?

Not necessarily true - for example the MDA Vario III in UK doesn't ship with TomTom on disc either...

And neither does the Tilt. But the Tilt, the Vario III, and the TyTN II are all different phones sold by different companies. And since the OP said that he doesnt have TomTom on the CD that came with the phone, there's a logic assumption that they think they own a TyTN II phone and that phone did in fact come with TomTom on the supplied CD

Treo 750v and Tomtom 710

Anyone out there got the same set up as me?
I dumped a blackberry to get the Treo, however I have a problem that Tomtom are not able to help with ( I have asked them and got the standard " Treo is not compatible,,,,").
I can use the Tomtom bluetooth to make calls via the Treo, using the Tomtom's phone address/number book.
I cannot get the Tomtom to download the Treo phone book and when I tell it to do so it deletes the Tomtom info and I end up with no numbers is the tomtom.
Is there a tweak to the bluetooth settings so the TT will know what to download, I think this is the problem in that Treo possibly calls phone number information something els and not the same as Nokia/Blackberrys do.

Problem with update WM6 - Treo 750

Good morning friends...
I'm from Brazil - Sao Paulo.
I lowered an updating for WM6 straightly of the site of the Palm Australia (version for operator Telstra 1.15 ROW), for a treo 750 version 1.15 ROW of the operator Claro. It was doing the updating and for my unhappiness, it finished the energy. When it returned, the appliance does not go out from that fabric of bootload. I looked for informations in several forums, and found the information of which there was an executable one to continue the updating in the directorate TEMP. I continued with the updating, and came ending it. However, now the appliance does not go out from the fabric of presentation (it arranges with it soon of the Palm). I tried to find some informations in respect, and even I finished appealing, and even I formatted the Palm (Power Reset). I tried to install again, I continue them to myself with the same problem. I checked that there are some updates in which there is possibility to effectuate through the SD itself, which the ActiveSync does not recognize any more the appliance. It recognizes the Windows like ' HTC USB SYNC '.
If possivel, it would like some help, if vcs know any alternative form. Opposite case, I will have to get a beating up to the technical back-up, and it does not enter in the guarantee.
