Just a quick question... what did you tweak with Gyrator ?? I really liked the app, but I did not know how to restrict landscape mode only to SMS and Email apps and not everything else... thats why i removed it.
Poeh.. to be honest I can't remember atm where I found the settings for Gyrator, but the Dialer and HTC Album don't autorotate.

the uc doesn't work for me. none of the programs install. the only thing that works is the email settings.
it worked fine on my kaiser.
the sdconfig.txt file should be the same, right?

if you tell me what issues there were with his rom maybe i can resolve them in mine...
My Rom should be nearly the same than his so maybe i can learn from his mistakes...

What can we expect from this rom?
You can expect 3 different Roms...
one lite one with nothing in it
a medium one with all the basic apps I need (and I think everyone needs)
and a full one with all the apps I use
lite will be the first... only OS, no panels, no 3rd party applications, nothing...
not even a background image
will all be there in the medium version
edit: at the moment I'm flashing my Rom to Test it... will also take some screenshots and give a list of the things that are included..
but for now i enjoy the sun ^^ Rom will be up in the evening

Hey Kid_DC, cant wait to flash your medium rom. I've been trying to find a good WM6.5 rom, so far all the one I tried got issues with slow scrolling through the menu. Btw, will you include youtube with it?

how much batt life do you get on your current radio? i am new radio 1.14.25.55 and i am not even getting thru a day of moderate usage!

After some testing there isn't much difference in batt time for me, but somehow the new radio doesn't seem a good match with wm6.5 for me?!?!?!!?
With itje's V7 the new radio is really great, but when using wm6.5 it performs a lot less.

Not only the radio matters, but the RIL DLL too !!
I put the power-RIL DLL posted by fards into this ROM, so you can compare it to other WM6.5 builds and report

Yes it works, BUT loads 1000+ files in /windows/, saturates the programs memory, replaces many M$ apps and services, most of times duplicating them)
The Growing Panel's Snail is faster than TF3D

There's no "one Radio for them all" out there, so this is just the plain ROM
You can make your own Radio pick

Welcome to my First Blackstone WM6.1 Rom
Nearly 2 years after the legendary HTC Hermes Days of ROM cooking, Forum Action (we were loud those days and somewhat profane – but for a good cause), I am back with a stable and fast WM6.1 ROM for the Blackstone. Why WM6.1? Well 6.5 does not cut it yet – the builds available are too buggy and damn slow and things just don’t work right. When I get my hands on a newer build I will bake my first 6.5 ROM but for now if stability and speed are your main priorities then stick with WM6.1 (imho). Enough chit chat.... start flashing.
You need SPL1.56 if you are using USPL to flash or use HSPL.

weird, i cannot put the log in details on my contact card but for others its fine, it syncs and updates status entries / birthdays etc......
i didint think it was a bug as I never could link up my contact card to facebook.

Typically when I go to the people tab after flashing I able to choose if I want to select a photo or use a photo from Facebook. I only had the photo as an option.
I performed a soft reset and I am able to see my Link profiles and my Events information as well. However I am still unable to sync up with my contact information via Facebook. That is a small thing for me however as everything else in the ROM is running smooth for me.

I like my roms close to stock. Almost all packages got updated and a lot got fixed and tweaked

I really like stock like ROM and flash it right away, all seems good until i realize that i can't do texting (SMS), either sending or receiving message. I try my SIM card on other device, it's ok. Also i can't see email contents, it's only shows sender, subject and attachment, while email content weren't readable.
I allready do task29 and then doing hard reset after flashing done. Does it's only happening with me? I'm flashing this ROM : Kwbr_Rhodium_1.0_C3, i hope i can use this ROM again without bugs.

No Email Problems:
- I do receive all my mail (exchange & 2 gmail accounts).
- Sending mail does also work fine over here (exchange & gmail).
SMS problem confirmed:
- Confirmed the SMS issue, doesn't work here either (not sending, not receiving)
I will try to find a fix (maybe some CAB file for classic sms?)
edit: found nothing usefull Tried disable threaded message cab, installed htc messaging client, tried, THIS fix but still no go...
- Hard reset didn't help
Let's hope the Chef will fix this bug soon. Anybody got an idea?
Conclusion for now:
After i've played 1,5 day with this rom I can say the following:
- This ROM is stable and speedy.
- Couldn't find any other bugs besides the messaging mentioned above
- Could easily multitask (email, internet, playing music, switching with arkswitch at the same time without problem or delay!)
- Compared with other ROMs this one is stable, speedy, stock.
Much like Simplicity but i prefer this one (i like it stock and "naked", no total commander or anything).
- RAM doesn't leak (in my opinion), didn't need any Freeup RAM program (watched RAM with Arkswitch)
After all my tweaks and cabs (over 30 cabs) it still has got about 60 MB of RAM.
On NRG it was about 30 and Simplicity about 45.
I did not have any freeze or SOD with this ROM so far.
I think the 23139 build is awesome
I will flash other ROMs for now (can't life without SMS) and will monitor this thread...

I really like the fact that I can flash to kwbr on my Rhodium. Tried your COM3 rom and it's great: lots of speed and space, really stable, but no sms.
I'll flash to COM2 today.

I flashed the com 2 (21914) rom and like you said there are no sms issues.
Like your blackstone roms, this is again a winner. No encountered bugs on this com build so far. Fast and responseive as ever.
For those would like to know: the used ram after installing all my apps and tweaking it for some speed and applying the lockscreen is 50%.
I installed x-task taskmanager since this rom has no upper-right corner task manager which works fine.

Hi, I don't like the HTC messaging client. If you asked me i liked it not to be cooked in. It can be easily installed by a cab file (like THIS thread).
I like ROMS stock and "naked".
But you're the chef, so you decide

Insanity Chameleon Rom CHT 1.85
Ok This post is for the chameleon Rom Screen Shots
I decided to make the Chameleon Roms purely because I like GTX and Sencity Roms and its a mission to change them ever so often either by flashing another rom or having to install cab files etc.
I wrote an app a while ago to do some of the work but now its completed and working fine.
You can easily move the Whole setup to storage Card and delete it from the internal memory to save about 30 megs of space and also if you have it on storage card and you have custom Items then it wont go missing during a new flash
The app is stores under \Program Files\Insanity Switcher
Theres a sub folder in there called Items where all the items are stored. Lets look at this folder and use GTX CHT 1.85 as a sample
\Program Files\Insanity Switcher\Items\GTX CHT 1.85\
some manila files...
Item.jpg - This is the image that will be shown for the item.
Registry.reg - This registry will automatically be imported when the item is applied.
RegistryAsk.reg - Insanity switcher will ask you if it should import this reg file when applying the item
What happens when an Item is applied :
1. Insanity Switcher copies all item files to \windows
2. Applies registry keys
3. Delete all files in \Application\Data\HTC\ProgLauncher in order to rebuild image cache
4. Deletes manilafull.xml in Windows Folder
5. Copies all manila xml files to \Windows\ManilaXml in order to rebuild manilafull.xml
What does Reset to rom default do
1. Deletes all manila files from windows (to get original ones back)
2. Deletes all start menu folder icons (to get original ones back)
3. Deletes all Sense Pages xml files (to get original ones back)
4. Delete Manilafull.xml from \windows
5. Recreates all xml's from windows to \windows\ManilaXml
6. Deletes all item files in sub folders of all items in \windows folder
7. Will auto import \Program Files\Insanity Switcher\Registry.reg
8. Will ask import \Program Files\Insanity Switcher\RegistryAsk.reg
One last thing remember to select lock screen image and change the theme. There is already Black and white ones cooked in.

Theres an update to Insanity Switcher which ill post tomorrow. Its already included in Standard 1.0 but Chameleon 1.0 still has the older version of Insanity Switcher. No Major changes just made a progress bar instead of showing the file names and manila turning on and off changed a bit. It also applies wallpapers correctly when included and a custom .tsk file.

I will keep my eyes open. I love a nice clean rom. I've always been a huge fan of the Energy roms, but there's a lot of stuff in there I just don't use. I'm always game to try a new one. Let er' rip I say.
It's always nice to see another chef in the Rhodium forum! I'm glad we have such various builds to choose from. It looks great!
Rom looks very nice, really like the icons and the app selection. Will try it if you decide to "release" it. And if it is fast and memory friendly it could be a keeper.

Great job this Rom is pretty damn fast an i haven had a problem yet an i don use youtube app on my phone so didn try it..plus text messaging is super fast an i get over 102 mb free ram after i remove the start menu...thanx cant wait 4 sencity flavor..
