Only italian language.For english why don't try Dopod or HTC WWE?

For TIM devices could I upgrade the ROM directly or should I first unlock anything ?

you can upgrade your TIM device with the new ROM directly. The unlock isn't necessary.

Yes, you can install the new ROM, but the configurations of TIM mobile operator will be lost.
Now, my p3660 is an ex TIM branded device.

si te refieres ala parte de vindows vista puedes ponerle otro sistema opertaivo en tu lenguaje.
si es para la parte de snapvue, creo que ahi si estamos de mala suerte pues aun no hay ninguno en español.

if you refer to the vista side you can install an operative systm in your native language.
if its for the snapvue side we are out of luck since there is no ROM available for it...yet.

First of all, liberate your snapvue by following one of these guides:
Enabling full WM the REALLY EASY SHIFTpack way
Full Instructions for getting WM6, RealVGA, Office and IE
Then follow this guide to be able to flash a new ROM:
Shift Project Release: SSPL and HardSPL - the way to custom ROMs and more!
Finally, choose a custom ROM you would like to flash. The shift has a built in GPS that will be enabled if you choose a ROM that supports it.

As there's not too many ROMs out there yet, this thread is still redundant. Also, I'd remove the "guide" part from the title, as it's just a list, not a guide.
It would however be useful to also mention all the stock ROM's that people upload'; they're requested a lot and the stickied topic is hardly ever updated.
IF anyone has a place for me to upload it, I can supply an unbranded X1 NL ROM.

Just flashed with this radio. As documented before my reception went up from a consistent 2 bars to a varying 3 or 4 bar at my desk at home. Will test more to see how 3G reception is affected.

Which radio is your Xperia reporting ??
I flash and flash radios again and again and it allways says "Radio version 1.06.25.29" RADIO VERSION NEVER CHANGES !!! but yes I seem to get better reception with the diamond radio and fast battery drainage with the fuze radio. This is being discussed in the "Radios" thread

The same problem by me, i have original 1.06.25.29 and flashing and flashing, still the same, SPL has been done, in bootloader it is also ok..

hi, there is a way to change the la guage of a cooked rom (i'm italian and the only italin cooker c1p8 sold his xperia)?

yeah recooking it after using italien files or using a reshacker to change all texts inside dlls and exe's

I'm italian too and I've some experience in rom cooking (I've done a pair of working translation cook for HP iPaq 914c). Today is my first day with experia and I'm just workingon its roms. I think in the next weeks you can expect a WM6.5 Italian rom for X1!!

Manila 2.0 ROMs (Pureness A-C-D) are WITHOUT htc messaging...
Sense 2.5 ROM (Pureness B) is WITH htc messaging...

how can I toggle off the meteo animation in the hometab?
It's very nice but I think it gets a lot of resources.
I think the ROM would be faster without meteo animation.

You think is possible to remove that?

Hello friend, I have finally found what I was looking for, wm 6.5 with manila 2.0 , but the problem is that I would like a WWE version because I am from Greece. So I would be grateful if you translated your rom [Pureness A]. I'm sure that many people would like a WWE version also.

It's a known issue...it's probably due to some compatibility problem with WM build...I don't know how to "fix" it...but I reckon it doesn't matter because it doesn't actually prevent from the usability of the PDA...

No vibration on keyboard

I've tried the B version. The fastest ROM I've never tried! It requires a lot of memory, the first time my blackstone says that it needs more memory but very very fast.
I noticed only two issues. When I push the keys on the keyboard the phone doesn't vibrate. I tried to change settings but nothing happen.
The second issue is that "proponi nuovo orario" in the calendar doesn't work.

For keyboard vibration :

"VibrationEnabled"=dword:0000000 from 0 to 1
it's not an issue...simply a preference...
the other thing I guess it's dued to WM build...I'm afraid that I can't help cause I've never used WM calendar!!

The dictionary is both italian (by default) and english if you prefer...
but I strongly suggest you to install this ROM :

Ciao Kenia, ho installato la Pureness C : Manila 2.0 e WM 6.5.5 ma dopo il flash (malgrado abbia fatto 3 hardreset e scaricata novamente la rom) mi si ferma alla schermata dell'impostazione dell'ora e della data e non va più avanti.
Ho installato la versione A e tutto è andato bene.
C'è un modo per risolvere la cosa?
