Extended battery pack made by HTC (for Diamond)

Found this article on CNEt Asia (hope they don't mind) where there is mor than a rumor that HTCwill provide an extended battery pack, making the device more bulky.
http://asia.cnet.com/digitalliving/ask/0,3800004928,62042419,00.htm
let's hope it comes soon..
If it makes my device as Touch Pro... i prefer to buy a Touch Pro!
One of the things that make Diamond a special device is that it is NOT bulky!
seido will start making these things as well.
for example:
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=879
and this doesnot make your diamond more bulky. according to seido they will have accessoires from the end of july.

I doubt that an extended battery would almost double the depth of the diamond. (Touch = 1.6x as deep as the Diamond) Even if it did, it would be optional. the keyboard part of the Pro isn't.
Since battey life is my only remaining concern with the Diamond, that 3rd party extended battery is sounding very good...

Shame that's the one for the Touch, then. ;-)
1200 mAh is probably more realistic for a Diamond drop-in replacement.

Though the size and placement of the stock 900mAh battery seems to be impossible to keep the same size for an extended one.
What I heard is that it will "look" (not as ugly) as the 2800mAh battery pack for the TytnII with a OEM back cover holding this chuncky battery.
i guess roughly a 3-4 mm thicker Diamond and +/- 35 gram more heavy.
Let's wait and see

did anyone buy the above battery?
Ye I bought it in my vision ...
Stock: Pre Order
Oké, sound nice - 2200 mAh is a big difference like to one we've got. I shall certainly follow this thread!
So for the 2200 battery do you need another back for the diamond? If so, where do you get it from?
Anyway, just posted a question on their side - will let you know the answer...
Extended genuine battery
I 've seen some advertisement quoting an extended battery for Diamond made by HTC, ref below:
htc103383 HTC Diamond Extenden battery 1340 mAh+ Battery Cover Black
the capacity should be fine and not transforming it into a bulky device.
HTH.
After 3 days of (intensive) use, I can see that a bigger battery is a must.
Of course, given the choice I'd go for the 2200

This is indeed in line with whath the Sales supervisor of HTC told nme earlier today here in Taiwan.
Though he was not sure if it was 1.200 mAh or more, the back would not become as thick as a TytnII.
Stock should be available from HTC genuine in around 2 weeks.
Taiwan has NO specific Diamond accesories YET as the device itself is delayed for launch for TW and China (bug's in device and QC does not release / produce them yet)
From the mouth of the horse as we speak.
Having just pre-ordered a Diamond dock - I'm hoping that it doesnt increase the size much otherwise it wont fit in!

I think i read they made a provision for it. Also the dock can charge a seconds battery. I'm still debating weather to buy a second slim battery or a fat one.

Worth upgrading ?

Hi guys,
I own a HTC Kaiser at the moment and I'm pretty pleased with the phone (although it lacks D2D/DD drivers. Mine is doing what I want), but I'm able to exchange my Kaiser with a Diamond.
I don't use the HW Keyboard often, so my question is : is it worth upgrading to the Diamond ?
How is the battery-life compaired to the Kaiser ?
Any known problems with the Diamond at the moment ?
I used a Tytn before and didn´t regret a minute buying the diamond. Offcourse the battery is weaker, but as long as you use it on a normal basis the battery will last one day. The only situation at wich the battery really sucks is if you want to use GPS without car charger, which the battery only can handle for 2h max. But there are so many things that I love at the Diamond ie. VGA Display, Size, way more available RAM, Touchflow3D...

I bought the Diamond out of curiosity owning a Tytn I an II.
With a good ROM, the Tytn II is still more responsive - quicker than the Diamond (mainly to a buggy 3Dflow as identified by other sites)
Battery life? pfff awaiting an extended pack.
Let me put it this way:
if you are looking for a nice piece of hardware and want to get it running fluidly, buy a Dimaond but be aware it still should be cut and polished a lot.
That is why HTC is having a ROM release each day now
Known issues: Memory leak in all releases. Cooked or Stock

HTC Dimond or HTC Cruise

Please i need you advice
I'm standard Pocket PC user... I need to decide whether to buy Dimond or Cruise
I've read a lot of review and comparisons but i need user opinion
Thank you for your time
The diamond tops the cruise in everyway apart from maybe battery life

i propose this!
yep..i also propose for Diamond...far better quality than cruise....the tweaks help a lot...three cheers to XDA...
the biggest problem of Diamond is weak accu. If you make a lot of calls, or want to hear music for a whole day, it will be a problem.
In all other positions Diamond wins
P.S.
Advanced accu are planned, but not available for the moment
diamond ... zats it
(expt the battery thing)
Thank you all for the feedback, what about tghe hardware keys, camera quality
I've TyTN II and I'm going to sell it because of it's size
I've switched from the Cruise to the Diamond. The only reason I'd like my Cruise better then my Diamond is the FlowCube... Diamond battery life is not really different from the Cruise, just the Manila app takes lot's of memory and battery life.. I just switched it off and I can use my Diamond for 3 straight days now, same with my Cruise..

i still have my tytn2 but diamond is way cooler
I had the Cruise and I have changeed by the Diamond.
I prefer the Diamond due to of this size and the Diamond is very more beautiful.
Morevover, he tdiamond is more powerful than the diamond. The only problem, it is the 4GO, the Diamond hasn't got any memory slot.

White DIamond(enhanced?)

Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you found something out about white diamond specs?
Similar thing happened with HTC Touch(Elf), white one was announced and it was enhanced ver. with double amount of RAM and ROM.
Is there any chance we will see sometnihg like that with Diamond? It would be nice if they doubled the memory and put in a bigger battery

HTC Touch Diamond- P3700 and P3750

Hi everyone,
I think to buy that phone but I found that there are two models Touch Diamond P3700 and P3750.
Do you know is there any difference between them? And that battery 1340mAh- can I use it with both of them or it can be used only with one of these models?
