[APP] Back Burner - Windows Phone 7 Apps and Games

Name: Back Burner
We are a new application company, and this is one of the first two applications we have released. Currently it's a bare-bones Read it later client. I have a bunch of updates in the works, and a pro version with even more functionality. Right now I'm just trying to gauge interest in the platform. If you have any comments don't hesitate to let me know!
Thank You,

I'm new so I can't post links, just replace the xttp with a http, or copy the link after!

Nice name!
Just wondering how it will work? Is it a RSS app or Google Reader app?
Whatever it is, it's definitely nice. Thanks.

Just found this app the other day and was glad I did since I miss using read it later on my hd2 and also had chrome to phone. The app works fine, but wish you could delete the links after using them. But, I'm just glad to have it

Updates
Thanks for the support!
I definitely have some updates planned. I want to add list manipulation, as well as text views and page saving. Look in the coming weeks for some updates.

Thanks for sharing!

Bloo Facebook App

I just came across this wonderful app that provides a native facebook client for android.
Tha app has been out for just 2 days and already is receiving great support from its developer with constant updates as new features are implemented and bugs are ironed out.
Although its a paid app the developer has been kind enough to provide an alternative method of purchasing the app to those that don't have access to google's paid market through slideme.org.
The app costs $1.49 and I can say its well worth every penny. I have been using it since morning with no problems what so ever.
The developer its quite active and promises new features with future releases. For more details refer to his blog: http://fbandroid.wordpress.com/
I believe we should support such developers that put a lot of effort in providing android with such great apps.
Can't make comments in Chinese It sends them in garbage code. Refunded.
EDIT: It reads them fine, just can't REPLY.
i cant see it in the market yet.....can anyone provide a down load link for bloo?
I love how the OP wrote as if he wasn't the author of the app... which he is. At least be honest and say you're plugging your own app!
It looks good, and I'm definitely going to pick it up soon, so there's no need to be sneaky.
I purchased it yesterday, and I think its great. But is it only me, or does it load The Feed slow, even on wireless?
can someone pls give me a link from when i can get this bloo?
its not there in the market,im in india...

Ideas and suggestions for new "nutboard"

This thread is for help in renaming and branding the Nutboard app.
Hey, the devs/mods of the Nutboard are about to release a new and improved version and would like some suggestions and ideas for the apps functionality, name and design for the icon. If you're not familiar with the app, I urge you to download it and try it, it is a posting board/forum app available for free on the market. I've been testing some new beta's and they are really fast. So....
"I need ideas, and a favor: we want a new name & icon for NB. Something that will appeal more to the masses. Nice, yet simple. NutBoard has served us well, but if we want this app to be "for the people" then we need a name that doesn't leave any guesses as to what the app is. Also, the nut makes the app look like a utility, instead of a forum. We've come up with a few ideas, but nothing solid. I know I don't like the name "chat" in it, as that gives the idea that it's a chat room, but it's more like a forum. We want to be able to get a stable version on the market soon, so we can start attracting users, but we can't really do that until we have a new name & icon. Any ideas?"
"-b"
So i thought the fine minds at XDA would be more then happy to add input.
Well crafted, finely tuned smart remarks are welcome.
Stupid comments are not.
Thanks for all that this community gives daily.
Here a few icons I threw together quickly just sort of a play on the name nutboard.

Only seen KeePass Droid so far. It looks like you need to create initial database on a pc and download to device, but should good when its complete. They have versions for winmo, blackberry, symbian so think it wont be long before its fully functional.
I e-mailed Ilium about eWallet, loved that one on WinMo, but they don't really have any plans for android at this point
keepass droid seems nice, getting tan-lists working takes quite a while (tan-wizard in kp2, export to kp1, export to kp droid...) but now everything works great, thanks for the tip
Have anyone tried SplashId for Android?

PGP
Hi!
Do you know any PGP/GPG application for android? I would like to read my PGP encrypted emails on Hero.
Regards
I've emailed Developer One to see if they have any plans for an Android version of Code Wallet.
Will update with reply.
Edit : email reply "At this time we are not planning it, maybe in the future."
eWallet
I got this reply from Ilium Software on August 12th:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are planning a solution for Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!"
I used eWallet for many years on Windows and it's the program I miss the most now, along with a divX player.

Ditto that, I will contact Illium too - the more people do that, the more likely the port will be.

install debian and use that to find programs to read them, e.g. i use mutt and gpg on my computer.
Try B-Folders, looks like a very nice app, it's free and their planning a desktop version with full sync as well. Encryption looks OK too!
This back from Ilium on 31st August:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Ilium Software. We are investigating our options for eWallet on Android, but we don't yet have a final plan. I'll pass your request to our developers!
Thanks again for contacting us and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions,

I'm looking at B-folders at the moment, but ewallet is very good.
If KeePass is not your solution (it is mine ), you might want to try "Keeper" which is a free Android App with (paid) Win/Mac/Linux clients. However, I don't know if it covers advanced functionality like TANs really well...
Spb Wallet (and not only) for Android
Spb Software House has started to develop some (useless) application for Android, as Spb TV and Spb Geo Game.
We hope that in future also begin to develop some program more useful, such as the excellent Spb Wallet.
If you want to contribute to sustaining the interest to Android of Spb, please rated this poll:

BBC News Mobile - Beta testers wanted

Hi,
I'm the developer for BBC News Mobile the free app on the marketplace at the moment. see http://grippers.co.uk
I've been working on push notifications for breaking news and have put together the various servers and system and its nearly ready to go live to the marketplace. However, I'd really like to test it out on a smaller scale first.
Please get in touch if you would be willing to test out the app first.
//Now Closed got enough offers to run with. Thanks to all those who got in touch
//Either reply here or email info[at]grippers.co.uk
Thanks in advance,
Update 30.01
Had really great feedback from the testers I currently have on board and have a boat load of emails for others willing to test. So thanks to everyone who got in touch should get back to you with a new build soon.
Lawrence

Also use your current one, would be up for the beta as well.
Cheers
I'd love to beta-test as well. HTC HD7 in the US
i would like to test either from Portugal... thks
I would like to test belgium
Unlocked device?
Hi
I currently use BBC News Mobile on my HTC 7 Mozart. I've even got it pinned to the start screen.
My device is not developer unlocked so I am not sure I can load the beta version onto it, but if there is a way, please let me know and I am happy to beta test it.
The two features I would like to see are live tile updates, i.e. with the number of new stories. Also, toast notifications for breaking news alerts would be good. I get the BBC News Breaking News alert emails but there are no toast notifications for emails, yet!
Cheers
andrew-in-woking
Thanks for all the offers. Moving all the stuff over to Azure from my dev environment is taking a bit longer than I thought but will be getting in touch soon.
Hey man, I'd happily beta test too.
Dev unlocked Omnia7 in UK.
count me in - dev unlocked hd7 from austria
i'm in too
Developer unlocked in Holland
I'll test it as well. Developer unlocked USA. Just a side-note be careful when you publish your app you need to go strong the 7appslab guy post's under a few screen names on competing apps he did it to my CNN app. Let us know here when it is done and we can give you an honest review before he swoops in and trys to knock you down.
Amazing thank you all for the offers to help!
Just a quick note to be able to run the beta build you will need to have an unlocked phone and use toms xap installer.
I should have got in touch with all, if I haven't please get in touch.
The build is just about ready to go. I'm just waiting on the Azure instance to finish deploying and then it's all ready to go. So hopefully will be sending out the build some time tomorrow to the people I have heard from.
If you still need someone, I'd be interested.
I have numerous unlocked phones (HD7, Quantum, Focus, Mozart...)
Once again thanks for all the offers.
I've currently running a very limited beta with 2 people (big thanks to calum and and Neil) if that all goes well I will get in touch with more people to expand.
Fingers crossed it goes well!

New website with a small giveaway. Updated. 2nd giveaway.

I know the giveaway isn't much but I hope over time it will grow. I am currently contacting manufactures to see if I can get any love.
I just started a new website called androidusers.info. I am hoping to have it have stuff that users want to see. Check it out and leave comments on what you would like there. Also I am having a giveaway for a superuser sticker. I know it's not much but for now everything is coming out of pocket. If you would like to help out let me know. I am looking for app developers who wouldnt mind giving away something. Also a tweet about it would be nice. As for the donation link well it says it all there. Not looking for huge donations just maybe a couple cents which over time and people will add up to some nice stuff to give away.
Mods feel free to remove if this isn't up to site code.
2 things i notices - 1 its slow to load (may just be my internet connection) and 2 it would be better if most of the post was viewable from the mainpage (like engadget)
Thank you for the comments. I am still working out the kinks and looking at other themes for it.
also the fonts , esp the titles are huuuuuuuge
Thanks. Will work on that.
Decided to give something else away now. Go check it out.
Here.
