Widget: to start and stop the service
ScreenOff shortcut: to turn off the screen by launching the app.
Sensor Configuration : Based on your device select the sensor of your choice, or the one that's available and configure their values, as they are different for different devices.
Enable screen on/off during calls only
Disable call handling completely
Battery saving options: De-Activate sensors after timeout and De-Activate sensors when power button pressed or system goes idle.
Override power button and screen-on by other apps (Phone is in pocket and you get a call or you accidentally press the power button, screen will remain off)

No. the point is to avoid using the hardware keys as much as possible as there is growing concern that the buttons can (and probably will) stop working from over use.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

definately a very cool application... i'm wondering tho, why would we need to worry about the buttons? are they different than any other device which we used to press the buttons on?

Unless I'm missing something you still have to press the power button to turn the screen back on. So it's sort of half a button saviour.

Agreed. I don't get this button thing. Why stop using the buttons on the off chance they stop working? Why save the buttons if you're not going to use them anyway? Strange. I could understand using this if the buttons have already stopped working.
It's like buying a car but never driving it in case the tyres wear down.

thanks for that explanation I was thinking the same
i have noticed my 'home' button has started to click loud

I've been using my phone over a year now and Android since the summer, buttons work fine.. Could be possible that some users are more unlucky with their hardware. However, it will only take a couple of days of use for this to be just as seamless as pushing the button, in fact easier!
Pagnell: The fact that you use the button 50% less is the key reason for using this widget, would be silly with a 100% replacement. And as I said, after a day or two I'm sure it's more convenient

I simply don't get the logic behind trying to save buttons you're not using by utilizing applications like this. Buttons are for using, not saving, otherwise you may as well not have them.

Really really good concept. Couldn't get it work on my Droid 4 (running ICS custom ROM), however. The meter for the light sensor and proximity sensor registered, however I could never get it to actually lock......

That's strange, can you check if the app has been added to device administrators list under system settings-> security?
BTW can you screen on?
Version v3.3 is out with lot of fixes and features:
☀ Fixed the InCallOnly mode, sensor is active only during the senor, thereby saving power.
☀ Added new battery saving feature: "De-Activate sensors after timeout". You can set a value in minutes and sensors will be de-activated after timeout and re-activated only when screen turns on.

This app is absolutely fantastic!! Idk why this hasn't been thought of before, you did an excellent job! The app works great on my HTC Rezound, I haven't used my hardware power button in a while!
My volume rocker broke and i used it to wake my phone when i took it out of my case. Is there a way to set this app so when i take it out it wakes my phone? Hope so....
I have it set so it wakes and puts it to sleep, setting it gave down our porting it in my pocket puts it to sleep and taking it out our flipping it over wakes it up

hi!! i've tried the lite version and it doesn't work... i configured the sensors on the advanced menu and still nothing.
I have an atrix 4g, stock rooted gingerbread 2.3.6 with fingerprint lock on.
when i select the secondary app on the main menu (the one that supposed to turn off the screen) it just locks it..

I found one other interesting thing. It isn't a bug, just more a comment and something to think about. It
Your app:
Flip/Cover mode activated. Turn screen off manually (using power button). Trigger sensor......uncover sensor.....Screen turns on.
vs
Your competitor (Smart Screen Off):
Equivalent Flip/Cover mode activated. Turn screen off manually (using power button). App is now disabled until screen turns on manually.
I'm not sure which you find more convenient or if that is intended behavior in your app....but obviously, your competitor did something else. Its just something to think about....maybe add an option so your app can accomplish both behaviors. I dunno. Overall, I think you have a great app (better then Smart Screen Off in many ways)

Hybrid Properties – DPI / Layout / Colors
Settings / Hybrid Properties / (swipe right)
Interface – Here you can define your workspace layout and assign global properties (Phone UI / Phablet UI / Tablet UI).
Apps that have been set up manually will override global properties. These are simply preset options available to the user as a base.
Apps – Define individual properties to customize how the app displays. These settings apply only to the selected app.
Lock Screen - The lock screen is controlled by the "Android System" app. Make changes to this app to control DPI, Layout and Color.
Apps - Size vs Layout
Size allows you to change the DPI of the selected app
Layout changes the outlook of the app by defining which screen size it should use (changes may be slight or drastic, this is up to the app)
When layout is adjusted, sometimes you may have to adjust the size to make sure items fit neatly.
Colors
Settings - Hybrid Properties - Interface - GLOBAL COLOR (enable)
For every app installed (system apps & user app) you can set individual colors for the status bar and navigation bar. This can be done globally or on a per app basis. In order to enable hybrid colors you MUST enable per app color
Color - Transparent Status bar/Navigation bar
Transparency for both the status bar an nav bar should be set only on the launcher (default launcher or installed launcher of choice). Setting transparency on some individual apps will return "garbage" as apps don't draw under the status and nav bar. It's best to set a solid color for the status bar or nav bar in individual apps.
Color - PIE Colors
PIE color is based on status icon color, navigation glow color and navigation button color.
Tools
Reset properties
Backup preferences
Restore Preferences

Expert Mode – this gives you deeper control over the hybrid engine. Options included are overall DPI and UI settings and extra options per-app.
Once expert mode is selected, under the interface option you would now have access to the lockscreen slider and Global Apps control.
The lockscreen slider allows you to change the DPI of your lockscreen, while the global apps section allows you to change the settings for all system apps or user app at once.
On a per-app bases you now have an extra menu with three options when expert mode is enabled (Expand / Force / Large)
Expand – displays app in full screen mode
Force – force scaling through other hosts such as widgets
Large – Force app to display as though it were displaying for a large tablet
I think everyone pretty much understands Expand.
Force
In short, it allows widgets to succumb to hybrid properties.
Widgets depend on the launcher to define its size/layout parameters. So normally, even if you setup an app to follow a custom layout, the widget ignores these scaling values and uses its default settings as dictated by the launcher. Force allows you to override this system and the hybrid values of the app would be forced on to the widget.
Use this feature cautiously and enable it only if you need it.
Large
Sometimes, changing the layout of an app to Tablet UI isn't enough to actually change the layout of the app. For such apps, enable the large screen option to see the difference.
For some apps, enabling Large give it a whole new layout, additional to the available layout options.
Again, use this option only if needed.

Expanded Desktop Mode (Full Screen Pie Mode)
Long press the power button and select Full Screen (PIE) – this removes your status bar and navigation bar and activates the PIE controls. All screen real estate is utilized without stretching or distorting your homescreen.
The stock Paranoid Android launcher has the option to use a pinch gesture to toggle this mode.
There is also a quick setting PIE tile to toggle PIE mode
- To activate PIE without activating Full Screen mode (PIE and status bar at the same time), you need to set your nav bar to 0%. Do this by going into
Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> (swipe right) -> Interface -> (slide nav bar to 0%).
Because the status bar is still visible, PIE will not show status information when activated like this as such information would be redundant.
Reserved
Paranoid Android - Main Features
PIE is an unobtrusive replacement for the stock on-screen navigation buttons. It stays hidden off-screen, only to be brought to life by a predefined gesture. PIE can be manifested on all four sides of the devices.
PIE isn't just about a new navigation experience, either – it also offers customizable colors, status information (like clock, date, et cetera), notifications, and toggles. One nice thing about PIE is that it's dynamic, meaning its size will be defined by the device's dpi; in other words, you won't see a stretched phone UI on a tablet.
Hybrid Mode
This Rom features true Hybrid Mode… it lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even system components individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app (Lockscreen, navigation bar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets and your regular apps of course).
Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
For every element that you like, chose a mode (Phone UI, Phablet UI, Tablet UI) and/or a size. Regardless of the mode selected, you are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to.
You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot.
What is DPI?
Dots Per Inch. As the name defines, DPI is the number of dots per inch of a screen.
In PA, we can modify DPI of any & every app or service independently.
Lower DPI value, would cause a general shrinkage, & higher DPI value, would cause the app to get bigger.
In general, we have a few standard DPI values:
xHDPI: 320 DPI | HDPI: 240 DPI | MDPI: 160 DPI | LDPI: 120 DPI
Per App Color
Part of the Hybrid Engine allows you to color the status bar and navigation bar for individual apps. This completely transforms the user interface and allows for customization on a completely different level.
HALO (2.0)
What this update brings...
Version 2.0 of HALO retains all the original functionality of HALO as described below, with the added bonus of
1. The actual notification is displayed as opposed to just the notification text
2. As a result of point 1, some apps can provide you with a "richer" notification experience (notification widgets).
The most common use of notification widgets would be found in music apps, however, any app can create this type of notification.
Remember, this is dependent on the app itself. HALO does not control this behavior and is not responsible for creating the widget.
As long as the feature is supported by the app however, it can be displayed in HALO without the need for any additional HALO configurations.
These notification widgets can be interacted with via multi-touch. One touch to drag HALO and hold the notification on screen, the second to select an option in the notification widget.
Activation
Pull down (status bar) or swipe up (PIE) the notification shade, tap HALO icon
NOTE:
Animator duration scale must be turned on, at least .5x or higher (Don't know what this is, don't touch it)
Deactivation
Reverse HALO Checked* - Double tap HALO, hold on second tap and drag over red X
Reverse HALO Unchecked* - Tap and drag HALO over the red X
*Reverse HALO option: Settings - Toolbars - Reverse HALO
Move HALO - Same as deactivate but DO NOT place over the red X. Instead, drag to screen location you would like HALO to dock at.
Settings - Toolbars - (HALO)
HALO Policy - Choose either blacklist or white list
Blacklist - select the apps that WILL NOT appear in HALO
Whitelist - select the apps that WILL appear in HALO
Hide HALO after activity - HALO will appear for incoming tasks and scroll out of sight after a short while.
Reverse HALO - Swap the task switching and moving gestures
Re-size HALO - Select between predefined HALO sizes
Pause Active App - When opening an app in HALO, the underlying/active app will be paused
Gestures
Swipe Up (marker 1) - Dismiss Notification
(persistent notification CANNOT be dismissed - just like your status bar)
Swipe Up (marker 2) - Dismiss All Notifications
Swipe Down (marker 1) - Hide HALO
(HALO immediately goes into hidden state, bypassing normal hide delay)
Swipe Down (marker 2) - Silence HALO (New notifications will not cause HALO to pop-up until the user "wakes" HALO)
Swipe Left/Right - Swiping away from HALO allows you to scroll through notifications (if multiple notifications exist).

EDIT: sources stated in third post, hope it's OK now
Could just resist and flashed
About this advanced settings FC's , it is normal for non official PA. I have the same on Galaxytab 7.0, maybe it contains device specific settings I don't know
But I found serious bug... My external SDcard is not detected :/
EDIT: Wait !! It is mounted on /storage/sdcard1 , but just doesn't show up normally with X-plore like it did on 4.2.2
EDIT1: Bug with busybox and Xposed, same as in SlimBean 4.3 by Demetris, Xposed could not be installed because of busybox not being found.

well, this "bug" should not be that big of a problem OP should easily be able to fix the mountpoints inside the ramdisk
(if not, just PM me )
Also I had problems with HybridEngine and HybridProperties not remembering per app DPI and Layout settings :/ Now flashed SlimBean, I miss that rom
the backlight hardware button doesn't light off, and i can't find the setting to configure the timeout. another thing is, can you disable the soft navigation by default? kind of redundant, and the hardware button light not switching off bug just made it twice more annoying.

@FunkyRasta Can you be more specific? I belive that external SDcard is mounted on /storage/sdcard1 by default on CM 10.2. It shouldn't be much of a deal to change it, however I don't want to deviate from CM or PA standard is it's not really neccessary, where do you think external SD should be mounted?

No problem here mate, check the screenshots below.
Please make sure you followed procedure to install Xposed on 4.3
How to install Xposed on 4.3 based ROMs:
1. Install XposedInstaller_2.1.4.apk DON'T USE IT
2. Reboot to recovery and flash cwm-Xposed.JB4.3.Framework.Installer.zip
3. Reboot and use Xposed Installer to enable modules, etc.

@gingerboy92
I hope to introduce backlight hardware buttons control in next build, should be ready until the weekend.
Soft keys can be disable by setting navbar height to 0, tt will be defaulted in next build.

[GUIDE] Device Settings Menu | Part III - Display, Lock screen, Biometrics, Security

Device Settings Menu Guide, Tips & Discussions
Part 3 - Display, Lock screen, Biometrics and security
If you're new to this series or want to see the index, please read the Introductory Post first.
Display
Auto brightness: When you change brightness in Auto mode, your device is smart enough to learn your usage patterns to determine the best level according to the environment as per your preferences. 'Reset usage patterns' in case you think your phone is drunk when in Auto mode.
Blue light filter: Learn why you should use it here. I've set it to 'Turn on as scheduled' > 'Sunset to sunrise'. You can toggle it from the notification panel as well.
Night Mode: (Pie update) Enable it to make use of true blacks on your AMOLED screen, save battery and put less strain on eyes. I know you want it to only enable at night, so hop up to developer mode and set 'Night mode' to Automatic. I don't know why Samsung has put up such a useful mode here.
Screen mode: I've set it to 'Adaptive Display'. Do play with other modes and toggle them when needed. Customize 'Full screen colour balance' (and Advanced) when 'Adaptive Display' is enabled in case you don't like the default setup.
Font size and style; Screen zoom: I've set 'Screen Zoom' to 'Small' and 'Font Size' to Level 2 in order to get more content in a screen view. Please tell if there's any better font on Galaxy Apps.
Screen resolution: By default, you don't get the resolution enabled what your Note9 is capable of. I've changed it WQHD+ for getting the most out of the best display in the market. I've the resolution set to HD+ in Medium Battery Saver mode in case I'm on Survival mode.
Full screen apps: I customize it when needed for an app.
Screen timeout: Mine is set to 10 minutes. You know, pro users!
Home screen: Self-explanatory and I use Nova Launcher. Do enable 'Quick-open' notification panel.
Edge screen: Do you need a seperate guide for this? Or can anyone provide a link to one. If you use it right, this can make your life much simpler.
Edge panels: You can set a maximum of 9 panels. Explore options of each panel and try more of them from the Store. I've enabled Apps edge (also make app pair and folders), People edge (upto 10), Smart select (take portion screenshots, make screen GIFs, pin a screen's content), Clipboard edge (auto-categorizes items), Reminder, Device maintenance (useful to review device performance OTG), Tasks edge (explore all available tasks), Quick tools (must have), Calendar. Tap Menu and 'Reorder' the panels as per your needs. In 'Edge panel handle', I've set the Transparency to highest and Size to smallest. I've dragged the handle to Right near power button so that I can always guess where the handle is.
Edge lighting: For me, it feels great to have it for some very important notifications that too 'when screen is off'. Do note that if you enable it for screen on as well, it will disable heads-up notifications. Play with 'Edge lighting style' as it shows the effect generated as you customize one. For me, {effect=basic, color=app_color, transparency=low, width=narrow} works. You can customize the lighting color for each app separately as well. In 'Manage notifications', you can define those apps for which you want this effect enabled.
Menu > Quick reply: Do define a reply because it can be useful in cases where you can't or don't prefer to type or check messages.
Navigation bar: I've enabled 'Hard press Home button' (great alternative to physical home button) and set the pressure to lightest (since I don't want to hurt my screen). With Pie, you can enjoy the immersive display by setting 'Navigation type' to 'Full screen gestures' and disabling 'Gesture hints'. I eventually got used to this. You can use Nav bar button on Quick Settings by dragging down the notification panel to toggle showing navbar then.
Accidental touch protection: Really useful because I keep my phone screen faced to my leg side when inside pocket so that it's protected from the outside cruel world.
Screensaver: In case phone is your life even when it wants to get charged peacefully.
Lock screen
Screen lock type: I use Pattern with Biometrics (Intelligent Scan and Fingerprints or sometimes Fingerprints only). Fingerprints remain the best security and battery-efficient method till date atleast for me. Use Iris for more security than regular face recognition. Also, with Iris, your device won't get unlocked while you're sleeping or with your photo. Use 'Intelligent Scan' for bit more ease (read about it here).
Smart Lock: It's a Google feature that can unlock your phone via On-body detection, Trusted places/devices and Voice Match. I used it once with On-body detection but couldn't impress me. Read about it here.
Secure lock settings: Disabled 'Make pattern visible'. Set 'Lock automatically' to 15 seconds in case I want to turn on the screen immediately without unlocking it. Anyways, 'Lock instantly with power key ' is enabled when I explicitly want it to get locked. Use 'Auto factory reset' carefully as someone could initiate this by simply making incorrect attempts. I've enabled 'Lock network and security' especially for theft use-case.
Always On Display: For customizing it, go to 'Clock style' below. Guide on AOD here and video here. With Pie, you now have new display mode as 'Tap to show' AOD for 30 seconds. I've set it to 'show as scheduled' such it doesn't glow when I sleep. Also, I get an idea that it's time to get to bed when AOD stops showing up (same for wakeup).
Content to show: 'Home button and clock' feel elegant for me.
Double tap Home button: Changed to 'Quick launch Camera' since I want it more often and I can turn on the screen by hard pressing anyways.
Auto brightness: Enabled. If you are okay with manually controlling this brightness less often by double tapping the AOD clock, disabling can save you some battery.
Show always; Set schedule: If you often check clock at night, you can enable the former. I've disabled AOD during my night sleep schedule so that I additionally get a hint when it's already time to go to bed and whether it's time to get up or not.
Turn off to save battery: Enabled. Do you need AOD in survival mode too?
Clock style: You can customize AOD with different clock styles, pictures, GIFs, Calendar and roaming clocks. Blue 'colour' gives a soothing effect every time I look at the clock for me. Similarly, you can customize your Lock Screen clock style here.
Roaming clock: I had to disable it as every operator in India puts SIM to Roaming mode when you're out of your circle (mostly defined to a state) and I get two identical clocks whenever I travel out of state.
FaceWidgets: Enabled all available choices and will decide about the reordering or need of each of them after I arrive at the use-cases. Same goes for you maybe.
Contact information: Do fill it. I've include my name and number on it. Can be useful when stolen, lost or misplaced. You can include email or alternative mobile number as well since the primary number would probably be in the device itself.
Notifications: I've kept the defaults. 'Hide content' if you don't want people to read your notifications. I rather do this on per-app basis (like messages for OTPs, sensitive apps). 'Notifications icons only' makes it similar to AOD style notifications and I want description of notifications once I go over my AOD screen. Toggle 'Transparency' if you find it difficult to read notification over the wallpaper or want your wallpaper to expose. 'Auto-reverse text colour' makes it easier to adapt with the wallpaper. You can define 'Where to show' your notifications here (AOD or Lock screen or both).
App shortcuts: Define the two shortcuts you see on the bottom screen corners while on lock screen. You can choose any app though default (phone and camera) works for me.
Biometrics and security
Biometrics: You can remove biometrics data and configure 'Samsung Pass' to use these here. You can enable 'Screen-on' scan for making the device scan for your face/iris as soon as screen turns on. This increases brightness immediately while it's scanning (can be annoying) and will drain some battery. 'Samsung Pay' works only with 'Fingerprint' and 'Iris Scanner'. Try different ' preview screen mask' for 'Iris Scanner'. In 'Fingerprint Scanner', you can add as many as 4 fingerprints (reserve one for Secure Folder). Put your finger on the reader and you can see the detected one highlited.
Screen transition effect: Disabled as I want things at fastest.
Google Play Protect: Enabled. Read more here.
Find My Mobile: 'Remote controls', 'Google location service' and 'Send last location' enabled. This should be the first things to review once you buy the device. Prepare yourself with a demo on findmymobile.samsung.com.
Security update: Shows the patch level and gets updated with 'Software Update'.
Samsung Pass: Similar to 'Google Smart Lock' for passwords but with biometrics and less support as of now.
Install Unknown Apps: Allow/Disallow existing apps to install apps from APK.
Secure Folder: The replacement for Samsunh My Knox. Must use feature to serparate your very private and confidential part of the phone. Guide here and video here.
Secure startup: Disabled for me. Should be enabled if you want your SIM, notifications, alarms and anything related to device startup not to start without passing the lock screen after the device boots up. For the kind of short-term memory loss I have, I want to call my phone or want it recieve inputs if in any case it gets misplaced with maybe low battery.
Encrypt SD card: Okay, so your phone is secured by Knox or 'Device encryption'. What about your SD card? Anyone can take it out and access your data, right? Encrypt it here and it won't be accessible to any device beside yours. Be careful to decrypt it in case you want to use it somewhere else or even when you are going to format your device.
Other security settings: 'Set up SIM card lock' disabled (same reason as in 'Secure startup'), 'Make passwords visible' disabled, 'Security policy updates' auto update enabled (Here is what are these), 'Send security reports' enabled. Set 'Device admin apps' with care (Learn about them here in case you haven't). You need to remove an app from here before uninstalling it. 'Creditial Storage' for CAs and user certificates (Learn more about CAs here). 'Pin windows' is a very useful feature for me. In cases where you need to give your device to someone (for like watching a movie or seeing the gallery), if this is enabled with 'ask for pattern before unpinning', when you 'pin' that app (video player or gallery), people will have to pass the lock method to get out of that app. Configure which apps can have 'Usage data access', 'Notification access' and 'Do not disturb permission'.
Location:
Allow apps and sites to detect your device's location. I've enabled it since I use too much location-specific content. You can turn it off if you suspect your dad working in NSA (approx locality can still be tracked through IP, use VPN).
Locating method: Change the method as per your requirements. I use 'High accuracy' while you can use 'Battery saving' to save a significant amount of battery that GPS uses. I simply turn off 'Location' from the notification bar when not needed or during survival mode.
Improve Accuracy: You can turn this off for WiFi and BT in case you don't want apps to override your decision of not making them search for WiFi or BT when you have explicitly turned them off!
Recent Location Requests; Location Services: Do review the apps that your girlfriend may have installed in your phone; Do review Google Location History and Sharing settings.
App permissions; Permission usage monitor: You can review the 'Permission History' here and enable/disable notifications for permission access on per-app per-permission basis. You suspect an app tracking your location occasionally and want to prove this instead of not granting it the permission? You can do it here.

I've installed it yesterday, so I have little to say so far. Security updates are from September 2018. I've installed 17 apps. Performance and battery life are average, for now it runs quite stable (no overheating, no sudden reboots and freezes). Only sometimes (very rarely) I get "settings are not responding" error, when I try to browse it. There are dozens of options to customize (Ashes panel). I'm going to use this this ROM for a few more days to test it.

OK, so after couple of days, this ROM works rather stable for me. Just like I've said earlier, security updates are old (October 2018). Overal performance and battery life are average (PixysOS V1 Oreo ROM for S3 is faster - probably because is VERY slim, and LOS14.1 has better battery life).
This ROM has so-called "Ashes panel" which contain a dozen or so options to customize. But unfortunitly for me, the ROM itself and the panel lacks option to remap hardware buttons. So, there is no working hardware "recents apps" button, which is bad news for me. But there is option to turn on the navigation bar, where it is possible to set "recent apps" virtual button. Unfortunately, for me, the navigation panel is broken. This bug is weird. After I turned on navbar, and reboot the phone, 10 seconds after the system was loaded, the screen went black... but the touch panel was still working!! Because when I pressed power button for 2 seconds, the vibrations told me that the menu appear, and when I blindly pressed "turn off" option (I didn't see it, I just knew where it was), the phone turns off. I thought I'll need to flash this ROM again to get rid of navbar, but somehow I was able to get into the control panel very quickly and disable navbar before screen went black. I don't know if it's only broken on my phone or on other S3s too.
Anyway, this was the most serious bug I've encounter while testing this ROM. Apart of that, like I've said before, when I browse settings, sometimes (very rarely) I got error: "settings are not responding". And also one of the two built camera apps (not that black one) sometimes is acting crazy, like when I tried to take a panoramic photo, and the camera went nuts and started to snap pictures on its own! LOL. It was soooo funny, and also scary LOL.
So apart of broken (for me) navbar, I guess this ROM is OK for daily work (for me), I'm using my phone for: browsing Instagram, Facebook and VKontakte, using Chrome and Google News, checking weather and play store, sometimes for maps and GPS tracker for walk/bike, sometimes to listening to DI.FM radio, taking photos and videos, and some minor operation on files. During these few days, I never got sudden reboot or freeze (and I have not installed "go mode"), also no overheating. :good:

SMS configuration
Hi, I've installed yesterday the ROM and it works flawlessy so far but I've not find the way to configure device to Send/Recieve the SMS.
It's not a matter of SIM because the same SIM on another device works as aspected.
How to set/configure the device for the SMS service?
Regards,
Marco

Really strange, because the same SIM in another smartphone withe same APN configuration send/receive SMS.
Random reboot
Home button not Wake up while display off
I came back to this ROM and I noticed that RAM management with android_lowram_enabler AKA "go mode" is much worse than without, which makes the ROM unstable. This is weird, because it's not supposed to be in this way (I guess). Maybe this "go mode" is not optimized for S3, maybe there are some conflicts, I don't know. Maybe my phone's broken (I doubt it!).
All I know is this, without "go mode", even with heavy load and switching between apps, each one was stable. But with "go mode", the amount of RAM drops veeeeery quickly, and apps become unstable, which leads to reboots.
I'm monitoring RAM with app called "RAM Monitor", it has flowing interface, so I can see exactly how much of free RAM is available at any time. When I installed my set of apps, and I used them, after a few hours, with "go mode" it was only 100-150 MB free RAM, and if I started to open apps, they started to be unstable. So I've cleared out everything - made a clean ROM install, then I installed everything again, and without "go mode", under the same conditions, it was 250-300MB Yes, that's twice. I've checked it all out a couple of times. This is not a one-time observation.
But it all really doesn't matter This is the same as the Viper v5.2 Oreo ROM.
With "go mode", no sudden, itself reboots, but very unstable behavior of some applications, bad RAM management.
Without "go mode", the system can reboot itself at any time, but the apps are working fine, very good RAM management. Tonight, late at night, after just few hours of working, it started to reboot to recovery mode.
So that leaves me with PixysOS V1, which so far is the most stable Oreo ROM for S3 I've tested. Probably because it's so incredibly bare bone

-for random reboot fix use android go mode and enable zram on kernel manager
-home to wake option not include in this rom because this rom dont have this feature.
Hi, I've just installed this ROM and it's working really well (better than any other I tried on the S3) but the call screen doesn't work. I can still make and recieve calls but the screen is black the whole time so I can't use speaker or keypad during a call. I can't even hang up. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks,
J
On this rom works hotspot? Thanks

Few basic (newbie) tricks for unrooted stock MIUI

Hi,
The following are few tricks for unrooted stock miui 12. These are somewhat basics and possibly known methods. Please feel free to share your thoughts or share something that hasn't been included.
1. Double tap lock screen on third party launcher
- Install OneKeyLockScreen-signed from https://drive.google.com/file/d/15kfzoSnz6WOSh8KD2LTNT297nEfOPexd/view?usp=drivesdk This is not my work so credits to OP / dev.
- Grant necessary permission
- Set double tap gesture on launcher settings
- Screen will be locked instantly, no 10 seconds waiting time nonsense. Fingerprint unlock works.
You can also use "Button shortcuts" in Settings to turn off (and lock) screen using long press
2. Add media / volume control on quick ball
- Install Media Volume Control from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.krdevteam.mediavolumecontrol
- Open Quick Ball settings
- Replace one of current shortcuts with "App"
- Select (Media) Volume Control
3. If Quick Ball isn't your cup of tea, you can use "Shortcutter" or "Tiles" to add available shortcuts to quick settings tiles.
4. Add Accessibility Menu to nav bar, as an alternative to Quick Ball
- Go to "Accessibility"
- Turn on "Accessibility Menu"
- It will show up on bottom right corner, comprises of a handful shortcuts including volume panel, toggles etc
- The downside is, it's not one-hand operation friendly.
- On the other hand, if you use Control Center with third party launcher, selecting 'Toggles' will show Control Center.
This particularly useful since swipe down gesture on the right side of home screen will show notifications i/o CC
5. User friendly debloat tool with GUI (executable JAR), credits to dev

Thnaks man! I love the 3rd one! I was looking for it the first time i got pro!
