NOTE:
You MUST WIPE YOUR DEVICE before flashing this ROM UNLESS you are upgrading from an earlier release. This is due to the resigning of key components with the AOSP platform key, to facilitate skinning / customising etc.
Features at this time:
Based on the GRJ22 (2.3.4) release
Packaged for ClockworkMod 3.0.0.0+
Rebuilt using the MoDaCo MCR optimisation scripts
Includes MCK custom kernel with TUN and CIFS modules
Incorporates supercurio's EXT4 performance tweak
Full up to date Google experience + additional apps (including new look Market)
HSPA icon differentiation ('H' icon when transferring data via HSPA)
Insecure boot image
su / Superuser.apk root
Support for running scripts from /etc/init.d at startup
Terminfo support (for nano etc)
Busybox
Optional 'allow SIP over non-WiFi connections' in the kitchen
Semi-transparent notification pull-down
Optional 'Spare Parts' app
Optional radio updates (latest update recommended!)
Removed Browser zoom buttons
framework-res and core libraries / apks are signed with the 'platform' certificate from AOSP, aiding those who wish to edit the framework-res / SystemUI.apk to theme. Simply extract, edit, resign with the platform certificate and push the file.
A bunch of other stuff that i've forgotten
Installation is recommended via ClockworkMod recovery, which MUST be version 3.0.0.0 or above. ENSURE YOU HAVE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING!
Downloads
This ROM is now available in the online kitchen! In addition to the kitchen, a prebaked download is available.

Future Updates - READ THIS!
By providing this ROM I am not implying in any way that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact that I have a large number of devices for short periods of time, it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not donate / sign up on the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).
And finally
Details on how to donate should you wish to do so are in download topic at MoDaCo.

where is the other custom rom?

Just flashed. Seems to be working well. Thanks for your work and looking forward to future updates. I have a question as well. I was prompted with the software update from google? Should I install, or will this tamper with the functionality of the rom?
Thanks.

Rocking mate, Nice to see an H again;P

Lol i just got stuck in a bootloop by trying to use the zune font from the other thread, luckily just adb in recovery and sorted stuff out
Is there anyway to get the zune font working on this rom tho? I really like it!

If I back up with Rom Manager and wipe before flashing this, will it delete my backup too?

+1

Quick question, with my evo whenever I flashed a custom rom, I would backup my current rom, wipe everything (data and cache) then I'll flash the new rom.
Is this process the same for the Nexus S?

That's what I did and everything seems to be working.
Edit: Home button wasn't working after I flashed the ROM, however a quick reboot fixed the issue.

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo Custom ROM for the HTC Tattoo! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo Custom ROMs
MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs - either shipping or leaked. A MCR release is designed to feel as far as possible like a stock ROM, with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed. You can read more about how to install a CRI on your device in this topic.
Features
Based on the 1.67.405.6 release
Built with the MCR build process which reduces the size and boosts the speed of the ROM
MoDaCo Custom Kernel (MCK) featuring additional filesystem support (EXT3, EXT4, CramFS, SquashFS and more), DroidWall support and much more
Recompiled Wifi module for new kernel
Recompiled tattoo-hack.ko for new kernel
Rooted boot image with 'adb remount' permission and superuser APK
busybox 1.15.3 with Droid Explorer support
terminfo and settings in boot.img to allow nano etc. use
Updated Google Maps
System dalvik-cache moved to /cache partition
MCR version displayed in 'About' screen
Optional dropbear (SSH server, username 'root, port 2222, password displayed in 'About' screen)
Optional swapper 0.1.3 for configuring your swap partition
Optional A2SD via the online kitchen
Optional Market Patch v2 by moneytoo via the online kitchen
Optional baked in Wavesecure via the online kitchen (installed to system partition for maximum security)
Optional WiFi Status indicator
Changelog
Please see 2 posts below this one for the changes in each release.
Installation
To install this ROM:
Ensure you have a custom recovery image installed (see 'requirements' above)
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode (power on with the volume down button held and select 'Recovery')
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
This ROM is now available in the online kitchen - see the post below for details! In addition to the kitchen, 2 prebaked downloads are available - a version with the default set of MoDaCo additions and a version with no optional additions at all.
Included in default additions - Spare Parts, Titanium Backup, WaveSecure, WiFi Status Indicator, Dropbear
Excluded from default additions (install via online kitchen) - A2SD, Swapper, Market Patch
View the downloads at MoDaCo
Please note that the download links implement referring checking to avoid deep-linking. If you are redirected to the MoDaCo homepage when you download, try 'right click save as', disabling ad blocking / no script or if all else fails try an alternative browser.
Discussion
Do you want to jump into the discussion at the point the current version was released? Then start at this post (MoDaCo) or this post (XDA-Developers)!
Thanks
I would like to thank all the contributors who worked to make rooting the Tattoo and custom ROMs possible! Particular thanks to moneytoo for the market patch. It's impossible to mention everyone who contributes to the Android community by name, but to everyone out there who does great work and shares it with us all - you have my gratitude and respect.
And finally...
Details on how to donate are in the original post at MoDaCo.
Enjoy!

sense UI present & no error i encountered on any apps.... nice work
terminal emulator pro works like a charm.... for the first time it gives you an option of allowing the request once or always or deny .... very well compiled
couldn't check wifi now....
its really fast & i couldn't believe that i am running it on my tattoo...
will check apps2sd & will let you know.... thanks paul. you made a very good contribution here.... waiting for 2.1 based ROM....

I'm more confident now, thank you...it would be fantastic if app2sd have worked...
@paul: can you do something for that apps2sd please.... we all are dying to install as many apps as possible on our tattoo.... but the internal memory is the big hurdle for us......
please give us one more contribution.... we would love to have it ASAP if you wish to make it.... please

go ahead...its just great.... even i want a simple apps2sd hack.... i am running very low internal memory..... i hope someone will help us very soon....
A2SD coming up soon, optional via the MoDaCo Online Kitchen.
I forget to mention that this ROM also moves your system dalvik-cache only to /cache... freeing up more data space for your, er, data and apps.
P
and what about the flash?
do I simply have to flash the update.zip through the recovery without a wipe?
in this way will I save the applications and configurations as it was just an update?
Correct. Flash update zip via a modified recovery, no wipe needed.
P
Paul give us app2sd on your next release...i need it as soon as possible...please
i don't wont to stress paul...his is the best work i've seen right now
thanx paul

Me too, but "if it is possible, it's done"
paul i read in your site that I may have a problem with flashing because my rom is an official rom and not a custom rom? what do you suggest to me?

Afternoon everyone!
I've put this ROM up for everyone to have a play with while I try and resolve an issue. This ROM has the MCR build optimisations, my custom kernel and other good stuff, however I seem to be having issues remounting and writing to the /system partition, which is scuppering Dropbear for the ROM. While I investigate this, enjoy!

First I want to thank you for your work
I don't understand only a thing: with the phrase quoted above are you saying that i can't remount in rw /system and write in it? Why? Any workaround?
Thank you

This ROM is designed to be customisable by the user in almost every way with the patches released by us, so please feel free to do whatever you like with it and make it your own. We will release more and more patches as time goes on. Patches are also being updated constantly so check back often to get the latest updates

Installation Instructions:
For example start flashing in this order:(you DONT need to reboot between flashes if you stay under 09xx_*.zip)
0001_base_system_PuzzleROM_v*.zip
0010_move_dalvik2SD_v*.zip
0200_market_patch_by_moneytoo_v*.zip
and then reboot phone!
0001_base_system_PuzzleROM_v6.zip - The base-system itself
0010_move_dalvik2SD_v1.zip - Does as it says, moves dalvik to SD-card! (I like to flash this before first boot, but it's possible to flash after too)
0021_ralle.gade_OC_kernel_patch_v1.zip - This patch contains the kernel by ralle.gade. It contains tattoo-hack and enables overclock, swap and more! Overclock requires SetCPU or Overclock Widget. Beware not to UC under 245 and OC over 710 as your phone will freeze up! (Source) (THIS KERNEL IS EXPERIMENTAL, there is bug in camera and photo in 3MP, and adb doesn't work fully. This will be fixed in a forthcoming update)
0022_2.6.29-g6561203_htc-kernel_a_and18-2_133_Orange.zip - This patch contains the kernel shipped in Orange ROM 1.67.61.43.
0050_remove_htc_apps_similar_to_vanilla_android_v1.zip - This will make the rom look like plain android by removing the HTC Sense UI and it's apps! There is no going back yet (except by flashing the full ROM again). Patch will come to re-add them if you regret removing it!
0200_market_patch_by_moneytoo_v2.zip - Adds patched market by moneytoo in order to show more apps in the market
REMEMBER TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER FIRST REBOOT BEFORE FLASHING A 09xx_*.zip
0901_Super_circle_mod_blue_framework-res-signed_v4.zip - Adds Super cirkle batterymod. This patch will work for both sense and non-sense. But NOT on Black or White Themes.
0902_Color_icones_in_statusbar-Solid_Super_circle_mod_blue_framework-res-signed_v1.zip - Adds Solid Super Circle mod and coloured icons to the status bar. Screenshots will be posted soon.
0925_White_Theme_by_Jacob_based_on_Orange_ROM_v1.zip - White Theme Patch based on the Orange ROM - Stock battery icon, Supercircle mod for this mod is named 0926_*. This patch is in early stages and isn't perfect. Known bugs: *Messages widget displays text, but looks weird *Some text on status bar is white, making it hard to see. *Music player looks a bit odd. *Some other UI glitches.
0950_Black_Theme_by_JoOoSs_based_on_Sense_2.1_v5.zip - Black Theme Patch - Stock battery icon, Supercircle mod for this mod is named 0951_*.

Radio.only.extracted.from_1.67.61.43-update-tattoo-stock-signed.zip this RADIO flash enables code based SIM unlock. The phone will reboot several times, it's normal. This flash is unnecessary if you can change simcard to another provider. DO NOT TAKE OUT THE BATTERY OR EVEN TOUCH THE PHONE UNTIL ITS BOOTED INTO NORMAL MODE, WHEN UPDATING THE RADIO

Download system base and the patches you would like to install to tailor the experience to what you want. Always start flashing with the lowest number and then another patch which has the next lowest number until you've flashed everything you want.
For example start flashing in this order, you DONT need to reboot between flashes if you stay under 0900_*.zip:
0001_base_system_hcdr.jacob-dannejo_v?.zip
0010_move_dalvik2SD_v?.zip (if you want to move your dalvik cache to SD card, only if you have an ext part)
0050_remove_htc_apps_similar_to_vanilla_android_v?.zip (makes rom look almost as vanilla android, if you want to keep sense dont flash this!)
and then reboot phone!
Before you can flash a zip names 0900_*.zip or higher, you MUST reboot the phone at least once!
0900_Stock_Android_wallpaper_framework-res-signed_v?.zip (changes the default wallpaper to default vanilla android, a good thing to do after flashing 0050_remove_htc_apps_similar_to_vanilla_android_v?.zip, BUT REMEMBER TO WAIT UNTIL AFTER FIRST REBOOT BEFORE FLASHING A 0900_*.zip)
Users may have to insert their own apn them self to gain internet access and to send mms!
0001_base_system_PuzzleROM_v3.zip - The base-system itself
0010_move_dalvik2SD_v1.zip - Does as it says, moves dalvik to SD-card! (I like to flash this before first boot, but its flashable after also)
0020_tattoo-hack_kernel.zip - This kernel patch contains the tattoo-hack.ko module which allows /system rewrite function
0021_ralle.gade_OC_kernel_patch_v1.zip - This patch contains the kernel by ralle.gade which is used for KiljackenROM. It contains tattoo-hack and enables overclock, swap and more! Overclock requires SetCPU or Overclock Widget. Beware not to OC past 710 in SetCPU or Overclock Widget as your phone will freeze up (kernel only supports up to 710MHz)(Source)
0050_remove_htc_apps_similar_to_vanilla_android_v1.zip - This will make the rom look like plain android almost! There is no going back yet. Patch will come to re-add them if you regret removing it! If you change your mind, just flash 0051_reinstall_htc_sense.zip
0051_reinstall_htc_sense.zip - Does exactly as it says, re-installs HTC Sense Home Screen, Widgets and Apps if you previously removed them
0052_remove_orange_apps_v1.zip - Removes Orange Messenger and Orange Photo. These apps don't work if you aren't on Orange
0200_market_patch_by_moneytoo_v2.zip - Adds patched market by moneytoo in order to show more apps in the market
0900_Stock_Android_wallpaper_framework-res-signed_v1.zip ONLY AFTER FIRST BOOT - Removes orange wallpaper and adds stock android. This patch will work for both sense and non-sense.
0901_Stock_Android_wallpaper_Super_circle_mod_blue_framework-res-signed_v3.zip ONLY AFTER FIRST BOOT - Adds Super cirkle batterymod (bug on 100% full battery, will show stock battery icon, when dropped to 99% mod will work agin, update will come) FIXED. Now with black text. This patch will work for both sense and non-sense.
Hope you will enjoy it!
Regards hcdr.jacob and dannejo
Curiosity!! :d
Rom released Hope you enjoy!
You're saying, this rom is based on the latest orange rom 1.67.61.43.
But your other rom (HCDR.ROM) is based on version 1.67.405.6.
So from my understanding of versioning your other rom is the newer orange rom.
Please correct me if I missunderstand something. This just confuses me.

Thank you.
Didn't know there were differences.
Some new patches coming your way soon
Does this mean that you are dropping development for your other ROM?
Can I flash this straight from your old ROM (1.4) or do I need a full wipe first?
Thanks in advance

No my other ROM will continue. This is a seperate joint project between me and danne_jo.
And you have to wipe before flashing over my ROM, sorry :/
As I said though, work on HCDR.ROM will continue
Cool
Three questions, if you don't mind:
1) what are the advantages of this ROM, if any (speed, flexibility etc)
2) are you going to implement soon tattoo_hack in the other ROM?
3) any way I can transfer settings from one ROM to another? Titanium Backup would do that?
Thanks for your work!

1) This ROM is designed to be customisable. We are working hard on patches which do all sorts of stuff to change the experience, so users can essentially pick and choose what they want.
2) The tattoo-hack kernel patch is the kernel for v1.5 of HCDR.ROM. I'm also releasing the OC kernel for HCDR.ROM as a patch. They will come later today
3) Titanium Backup should do that, yes
Thanks, I will give it a try

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo Custom ROM (Froyo 2.2.1) for the HTC Wildfire! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
Remember that if you use this ROM, you do so entirely at your own risk!!
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed (Clockwork Mod).
Features
Based on an as yet unreleased official European Froyo update (2.22.405.1 / Froyo 2.2.1)
Pre-rooted with su and Superuser Permissions by ChainsDD
Built, tweaked and massaged with the MCR build process which reduces the size and boosts the speed of the ROM
Patched 'Rosie' (Sense) to allow click-drag homescreen rearrange when pinch-zoomed out
busybox with Droid Explorer support
MCR version displayed in 'About' screen
terminfo and settings in boot.img to allow nano etc. use
Insecure boot image (ro.secure=0) with init.d support
ROM is de-odexed
Updated Google Components
Updated Flashlight which now becomes 'Torch' for non en-US configuration.
Added Voice Search with Voice Actions
Added option to use stock lock screen instead of HTC version
Slimmed Customize dir, additional locales added
Optional Titanium Backup
Optional Wavesecure via the online kitchen (installed to system partition for maximum security)
Optional WiFi Status indicator
Optional 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10 radio
More stuff i've probably forgotten
Optional bootsound removal
Please note that this is the first release, many more changes will be added now via the kitchen and periodically updated prebakes (as per normal MCR builds!)
Changelog
Please see 2 posts below this one for the changes in each release.
Installation
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Please note that as a de-odexed ROM, the initial boot takes a while!
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
This ROM is now available in the online kitchen! In addition to the kitchen, a prebaked download is available.

This is one massive update to my ROM. I have personally themed damn near every image in it. A LOT of help came from Sonny Sekhon, author of the ICS theme for T-Mobile Theme Engine. Many thanks to him for getting me started on this!

Updated GoLauncher EX to 2.66 (themed to match ROM)

Recommendations:
Wipe EVERYTHING before installing, or you WILL have problems.
Give the ROM time to run, before judging it. It will be slow to start, but speed will increase as things settle in. Wont take long, maybe a few minutes!
As for the Market, you need to sign into your Google account FIRST, and then the icon will appear.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried this rom?
I'm an Evo user, rooted of course, with a nob question. Got a hold of a droid x, rooted it and want to flash this rom. Nob question. Can I boot int recover via rom mgr and flash or do I need to use boot straps to do this? I'm not well versed in cwm as I use RA for my evo. Thanks in advance, and take it easy on me please.
Also Can2t install
I just fresh sbf'ed back to 0.602. When I try to install I get Error 7 from clockwork....anyone else having this problem? Do i need to flash 2int recovery to install?-AT

NVM I gotta go back to the Froyo kernal.... I found my solution here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHEQ9EgW9Gc quick step by step video
What's going on CHEVY? I was wondering if it was fine for me to just install this on top of MIUI 1.10.21?
besides wiping dalvik if I do, will I need to format system as well by any chance?
Thanks for this awesome rom. Miui got boring after a while. I've been using it since it was released for us Droid x users.
Thanks for nice work but I have a question, what about the camera as I test in CM7 is too bad ? did you solve it in your ROM?
Looks great! Nice work
Wifi Issues
IS anyone else experiencing WIFI issues with this ROM? Sometimes I cannot get it to connect; then if I reset the phone a bunch of times it eventually connects....I wiped everything and reflashed twice; still having the issue.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks
