Request: Tab Case with Notepad - Galaxy Tab Accessories

I have been looking through the posts here trying to find a case for my Galaxy Tab that will allow me to also have a notepad at the same time.
I am looking to replace my day planner, want something that will hold the Tab in place, and have a spot on the left side to insert a notepad. With a zipper would be perfered.
Thank you !

Try www.xigma.jp

Thanks for the site suggestion, I wish I spoke Japanese. I did not see any offerings for the Tablet.

The best case I have seen is the one I own. Although not designed for a note pad I'm sure you could figure something out. It has 5 business cards slots and 1 large alot along the side that could hold a note pad. I'll post a picture or two right away.

Tab case with notepad
I, too, am hunting for a zipper case with a notepad, though I want the notepad on the right since I'm not left-handed. The perfect case would have the Tab on the left and an easy way to take it out to use the Evernote app to snap pictures of the notes I've taken on the pad so I can throw them away.
Has anyone seen such a beast?

I was just on Amazon shopping for something and I happened to see a case that might work for you. It was called a rooCase Executive Leather Portfolio. It looked like it had some pockets on one side that you could slip a smaller notepad onto.

My USB Keyboard

For my elocity A7, I found this keyboard, it works fabulously.
keyboard
Where did you get it? Can you post a link?
I had bought one of these from eBay. It looked exactly like the one shown and it did not work. So I'd wait to see where the OP got his.

THAT is really awesome.

Got mine, flawless
Got mine off ebay right after I saw this post. Got it for $19. I didn't expect it to work but it did right away.
The case is very nice and professional looking. Faux leather (hey its only $19)
It has a magnetic clasp to keep it closed
As it opens you get the spot for the A7 on the left/top and the keyboard is embedded on the right/bottom. It is a complete keyboard with the 3 standard lights.
The usb cable is a thin flimsy cord attached the the usb end that connects to the left side of the A7 (please remember to unplug usb when closing the case and going about your business or you will break it)
There is also a stylus (useless)
The back of the case does have a picture frame style stand that folds out so the whole thing sits up like a netbook
The keyboard itself is small but netbook sized. I found hitting alt-F4, puts the A7 to sleep...nice! There's a "ZZZ" button in place of the usual "Windows Start" button. Hitting this brings up the menu option in whatever app you are in. The "Esc" button escapes you out of whatever app you are in. I'll have to keep playing with the buttons to see what other shrtcuts are there
I am really feeling this case, it makes this A7 look and feel like a real laptop.
@freemase; not sure what restrictions are for ebay links, but could you post the item # or maybe pm me a link for that.
thanks.

Yes freemase, and everyone else. Please leave a link so we can find one. I found some on ebay but don't wanna spend money and wait and have it not work.
Thanks.
Here's the ebay link
Well, I haven;t posted more than 8 posts yet so this forum will not allow me to post links.
I guess to find the one I got is to find the seller named superdeal_2004 and the listing is called
Portable leather Case WITH Mini Keyboard TABLET PC 7"
The item number for my ended auction is 260747417794
Good luck people!
thanks!

How snug does the A7 sit inside the case? Is it secured in there or kinda loose due to the brackets being too far apart?
I just bought a case from ebay about 4 days ago. It looks identical to this one, but the keyboard does not work with the A7. Not to mention the fact that the A7 does not fit tightly in the holder, it sits loose. Needless to say, I am returning it.
The one you bought is exactly what I was looking for.

I have the same kb. Works okay. The only problem is the clamps that hold the A7 are loose and no bottom support when using as a e reader.
You can get it at Ankaka dot com. search for tablet holder USB mini keyboard. Its from china, cost $13. get expedited shipping, if you get regular, it will take forever, took a month for me to get it.
I am giving this a try - thanks!
The tablet holder inside the top part of the case has 2 hooks for the bottom and a sliding hook at the top to account for various size 7" tablets. The A7 fits ok. It would fit better if the top sliding hook were a little bit tighter.
What does suck about this and other A7 stands is the fact the power is on the bottom of the A7 when in landscape, So I can't use this case as a stand and charge the A7. I also have the regular universal stand for tablets that everyone else got and it has that same problem. I have to prop my A7 on the stand on top of 2 hard drives to have it charging while in use.
@freemase; thanks for the tip about making a makeshift stand/gap for charging while in use.

[Official] Bluetooth Keyboard Case Combo

I'm hoping over the next month or two a few more keyboard/case combos will pop up, other than just the sloppy PU (Poetic) and Crazy on Digital cases found on Amazon and Ebay. Would rather find something that snaps the Nexus 7 into place rather than one that forces you to put it into a sleeve (adds bulk). Additionally, why the extra inch or so on each of those cases below where the tablet is placed?
We need something like the OEM Playbook keyboard case, that doesn't add any unnecessary bulk and is made specifically for the designated tablet. The keyboard cases now are just being sloppily adapted for every new 7" tablet that comes out.
There is definitely a market for a high-end, tailor made keyboard case, maybe around $50-$75. I realize most people buy the Nexus 7 for casual media consumption and it's low $$$. Regardless, I know plenty of people that would rather carry this around than a laptop, for more casual productivity days. Documents to Go, Evernote, Gmail, Google Drive (to name a few) would all benefit from having this option done properly.
Let me know if anyone else comes across a bluetooth keyboard case combo other than the two mentioned that are floating around. I'll also post if I find any further ones.
Thanks!
I recently purchased the Keybook, take a look if you wanted more details/pictures.

I already mentioned the Poetic (which you purchased) and Crazy on Digital cases as they seem to be the only two offerings right now. These third party cases hardly seem like close to as good an option as Blackberry has made for their ill-fated Playbook. Seems like these companies just keep barely adapting the same product for every 7" tab on the market. Additionally, what's the deal with the extra space under the tablet and why only the sleeve option and not snap-into-place option for holding the tab in place.
Hoping something that is more tailor made and form factor will come out for the Nexus 7. Please keep posting anyone's findings.
Thanks again!
I prefer a "stand" case with no keyboard, and IF I need the keyboard, I will get something like Microsoft Wedge (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805560)
Reason being is because I don't use the keyboard too often and most of the time, I prefer not to carry a "thick" device.
But that's just me, though.

smart cover case?!

hey all!!
i was searching for a cover for my n7!
there are a few things that a i want it to have, but i cant decide!!!!
see the second post and you'll know why am i confused?!
some of them look just like each other! what is the difference? which one should i choose? what can i do?
1. smart cover:
i heard that there are smart cover for n7, though i searched ebay and amazon, but couldn't find anything i wanted.
2. slim:
i use my n7 mounted in my car sometime, so it shouldn't be big and thick! else i think it wont fit in my dock anymore...
3. designed for n7:
i saw some cases which i could fit it in, but since they were not designed for n7, so they wouldn't have any space for speaker, or volume or etc.
4. stand:
not very important, but if it has the ability to work as a stand in different angles, it would be great
5. close able:
you now, have something to grip the edge of the tab so the cover wont open by itself.
6: ?!!
i dont want to put my tab in it , i want it to have grips to have my tap from edges, so i can remove my tab whenever i want!
if you have a case you like, can you please give me a link, so i can choose?
i am really sorry if this is not cool, but after a while this forum can be changed into "all you need to know about nexus7 covers" or i dont know, "nexus 7 covering thread" or sth like that. thanks.
so?!
i found these cases which i think are cool!
i wanted to ask if anyone has them, or used them, or has any opinion about them:

Edit2:[seems no 2012 version?!!]

will it be shipped to Canada?!

I am confused, is this spam or an actual question?
I love my Moko case. Flip for landscape, no rotating thing etc. Has held up great.

hi, thanks you for your answer.
no its not a spam, i see a lot of models available, and i dont know which one to buy, i'm confused. i was wondering if people could help with a tiny review of their cases, like the above ones, so others can read them, and decide which one to buy, or at least help me choose!
hi again!
another question if anyone is willing to answer!
i found out a design , produced by a lot of brands.
for example, look at this link:
http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Slim-fit...8&qid=1389427748&sr=8-3&keywords=moko+nexus+7
i found the same design bu moko, poetic, easyacc, i-blason and etc.
which one is better?
and also when i looked at the images in poetic's official web site, the speakers cut, covered half of the devices speaker, but in amazon's pics, the cut is holes, on top of the speaker.
which one is it?!
Zerolemon
I got a battery from them. I hope they have a case for Nexus 7 as they have for Nexus 4.

Dot View case on sale. Black and grey under $10 USD

Quick Amazon search (not signed in, no referral/affiliate link)
I never cared about the Dot View case, but I just ordered one. $9.30 with the NC state sales tax. Can't beat that. I guess I've been a little curious about them, since there are a lot of decent cases under ten bucks, but I pretty much sprung on this one.
No idea how long the sale is for. Could be over any time, really.
Bought one. Thanks!
Match price it at best buy and got it for $9.4O
Just make sure to get the one that is shipped and sold by Amazon. I got one last week for $12 and it is 100% genuine. Not the best case I have ever used, but for $12 It's a cool case for going out, and showing off.

mine takes like three weeks to get here
Can anyone confirm, that the M8 fits with the Dot view Case in the Car D190?
Regarding shipping, I ordered just before or after I posted, on a Saturday. They said it would be here Monday. It was here Tuesday. So 3 days instead of 2 (I have Amazon Prime).
The case fits but not completely. The bottom part fits like a glove. There's no mistaking how it fits in. Perfect fit. However the lid (the dot view part) does not close all the way. I have nothing on my screen, not even a screen protector.
The dot view gimmick is just that. You can swipe on the case but you have to really press. You might be surprised by how much pushing you have to do. You can't change the theme. You can't customize a thing about it. You can change the temperature units in Settings → HTC Weather. This is not very intuitive and it's not stated anywhere in the manual.
The magnet thing works great. When you open it, the screen comes on. When you close it, the phone goes to sleep.
Dark grey means grey that is not light. I wouldn't call it dark, either. It's just grey. It's similar to the gun metal grey finish of the phone (if you have that option — I do, except stupid PC Verizon calls it "metal grey" since "gun" is a bad word now) but matte, not glossy. And it extends the premium feel of your phone. It feels like a premium product. It feels like a genuine HTC accessory.
It does leave dot view smudges on your screen, but these are easily wiped off with a microfiber cloth, which every phone owner should have, anyway.
You can forget about one-hand usage. You will need the other hand to hold the case open while you text.
I use a FlyGrip and I have their case. The FlyGrip would not stick to the bare back of the HTC One M8. I don't know if that's because the adhesive doesn't bond to metal. It's peeled off my naked Samsung Galaxy S3 and two of its cases cleanly, so the bond is not permanent. I might try attaching my FlyGrip to the Dot View case, but what would be the point? The FlyGrip is made to accommodate one-handed phone use. Dot View prevents it. And with a FlyGrip, you gain a kickstand, but you just can't lay your phone flat on its back.
So now I have two cases, and though I meant to take the Dot View case to work, I just didn't bother taking my phone out of the FlyGrip case. I intend to keep the Dot View case, but probably won't. I have one IRL friend with a One M8, and I might let him try it out, but he only uses his phones naked. He doesn't like cases at all and thinks they're a waste of time that take away from the engineering of the phone — especially a nice one like ours. And I don't disagree, but I like the FlyGrip's utility. It's useful to me. It prevents drops. But it isn't cheap.
Bought a new one because it's cheaper, forgot it doesn't work well with my glass screen protector. =\

Theme stuff is in the HTC Dot View app. If not on phone, then it's on Google Play.
Also if you're rooted, you can do a lot more, theme-wise.

Samsung Keyboard Case Experiences?

I was thrilled today to discover that T-Mobile is now offering the Galaxy Tab s6 for sale in their stores. I've had a separate data plan with them for a few years since they had a promotion where you could get 5 Gb for $10.00 a month. I've been happily using my T-Mobile Galaxy Tab S2 with keyboard case for years, but also wishing that Samsung would release an updated tablet with a case that included a mouse pad. And then the Tab S6 did. But I've been reading some really bad things about the way that the case attaches to the tablet. Rather than magnets or snaps (like the S2) the Samsung keyboard case seems to attach with some weird suction cup, and many of the reviews I've read say that the case loses suction and won't stay on for long.
What's been the experience of users on this forum who own the case? I'm really quite dismayed because the Tab S6 was shaping up to be the perfect replacement for my aging S2. Is the case really as bad as the negative reviews would have you believe?
It will stay attached as long as the back of the TAB is clean, however, I would rate it no more then 7 out of 10 for overall usage.
Sammie sometimes want to 'over engineer' things so they are innovating everywhere IMHO. The mousepad works well, but, if you're going to use the Kybd case on the move you really need a sheath cover as well to put it into as the back can move if knocked, which then risks the pen falling off and getting lost.
I don't regret buying it, but wouldn't use it without the extra cover.
I only received my tab s6 and case this afternoon so a very first experience, but I actually like it so far... I find it types nicer then my s3. It seems to be stuck firmly (and I carry it in a bag anyway so no risk of loosing stuff there). Perhaps after a few days my experiences might change, but so far so good.
Where the S3 case only had one position and was not very flexible, the s6 one is a great improvement in that aspect. The connection is more flexible and the stand also can be put in just about any position. I read a review about it not being usable on a lap, but sitting on the couch typing this now and no issues at all.
I also like thatI can take off the keyboard part and the back plate is still stuck on (For example when using the pen I see this as a nice option).
I loved the S3 and Ilike the S6 so far as well. I think I did/do prefer the aspect ratio of the S3 but ok...
THe main thing I miss so far is a home button on the keboard

I , too, find that missing the Home button is a bit strange. Although META + ENTER can do the same, but not convenient.

To add to this: The "suction cups" seem to get their name or reference because they resemble the sticky/gummy cup material on car phone holders. These are gummy adhesive strips. Some have complained that their case will fall off. This only happens when the strips are dirty. If it should happen, all you need to do is clean! Clean the back of the tab and carefully clean the strips with mild soap and water. Allow them to dry and put it back on. I bought mine on launch day and my cover has been on ever since without issue.
As for the keyboard - For my use case, I write on the tablet with the Spen 70% of the time, use the on-screen keyboard with 20% of the time and the keyboard the remaining 10%. I'm glad I have the keyboard when I use it and I find that it types very nicely.

Pro tip: META + / brings up a list of keyboard shortcuts for both the Android system and the in-focus app. I'm a fan of META + n and META + backspace as well. Not all apps explicitly support keyboard shortcuts and sometimes apps with shortcuts haven't documented them in this menu but it is super handy to have around when using the right app. Try it out with Gmail, Chrome, Docs apps to get a good look at it in action.
