Bootloader from dev atrix - Atrix 4G Android Development

Who have the UNLOCKED bootloader bin file from the Dev ATRIX ? I have 2 atrix and i'll try to flash it on my 2nd device for testing.
If you have all required files, mirror it please and post the links
UPDATE APRIL 18TH:
I need a software for open the bin files for comparison purposes ( HEX EDITOR DONT WORK )

I may be wrong, but what I have been told is that while the bootloader can be flashed, since it is not signed the phone will brick.

I have 2 devices, 2nd for testing purposes so i dont care if i brick it
if it fail, the device will not power on, if it work, i could post a tutorial

Im serious...... WHO HAVE THE REQUIRED FILES ??????

http://gititbit.ch/aEd2 - pulled from a dev atrix.
http://gitbrew.org/atrix/
You won't be able to do much with these files.

dont waste it... ill buy it off of you dude.

It would be nice if someone who knew for sure would post if this is even possible before this guy ruins his phone! Though it is cool of him for trying since it could help everyone if it works out ok!

It is definitely not going to work. You really believe developers would not hadn't done this if it was the least bit promising?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App

It will fail I believe because it will not be able to pass the checks for the sigs = brick. Unless of course you have a secret technique you wanna try that's not just a simple flash

maybe he will try and goldcard it...somehow

Well if he does get it the bounty is so large he can buy a couple of xooms and nexus s.

He may want to tell us if he succeeded first, so, you know, the funds start transferring.
Are we sure this will even brick the phone? Without being signed wouldn't it just fail to start the process? What we need is a way to push the bootloader to the phone that does not require it being signed.

There is some information about the bootloader in
http://dev.gitbrew.org/~dasmoover/debdroid/doc/tegra/tegra_250_froyo_20110207.pdf
Not sure if it will help you out any...I have not gotten into Atrix development as much as I should.

If i replace the oem bootloader file by the dev atrix bin file, everything should works. Ill compare the 2 files tonight

I'm pretty sure someone has tried this..
visit #moto-atrix or #xda-atrix for more advice before doing anything..

okay I recently got my phone and upgraded to 2.1 from the sprint website before I learned what rooting was. I don't want to do anything fancy I just want to get rid of the pre-installed apps that I don't need so the phone will run faster, is there a way to get this done now?

There was somebody in another thread that said they would try anything that was released to get the phone rooted so look in a couple other threads and contact him.

I tried it, and it will not flash through rsd lite 4.6. You need a newer version. For me, running 5.2, it would load up, read phone, try to load sbf and then it would lock the phone. No charging, no power button, nothing. I had to pull the batt for about a min to get it to work.
And the file is based off of the bootloader from the pre-release sbf which is why it's an older version. I will update as we try new things. I have couple X's at my disposal to wreck.

defy bootmenu for 2nd-init works with bugs

This may ****brick your phone******
0riginal link to topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212
i have managed to install this and boot into the bootmenu, the screen is distorted tho so cant see what the menus actually are.
install apk from market called "defy 2ndinit" open app and install the bootmenu, it will pull files from the net to install.
there will be a blue led on at all times aswell even when phone is booted normally
power off phone
plug charger in
you will see distorted bootmenu
hope someone can fix the distortion
edit: you can uninstall using the app with no side effects
This thread has several versions of the app attached as apk's. Maybe this will help someone.

maybe coz i not connecting with the 2nd init i dunno, at least if this app worked proper for atrix then i can set 2ndinit in the bootmenu and hopefully rom will boot
if you dont install CWM and only this, when power off phone, plug charger in, you get a nice battery icon with percentage for abit, when disappears just press volume button to see the battery and percentage again

If you didn't know it may brick your phone, you probably had no business trying it in the first place. Btw, OP really doesn't help us get any closer to bringing over ROMs. This is a defy app and hasn't been reworked for the Atrix yet. It is probably something edgan needs to incorporate, but I would stay away from this.

This is the "development" forum. This is not stable code. Try re-flashing an SBF file.
when you say you tested it, you say waht MAY happen also, i reflashed the sbf service file, but man, you dont really know how to post stuff, you always says it can be harmfull, if you dont, that means it works a 100%, but thats ok, nothing i dont fixed with 20 minutes
ps:by the way it may not work on retail(and maybe on all) brazillian system
it enters in the second init, but system do not allow to boot the official because of it, to get this being used we need to have a custom ROM able to boot using it
edit:
henrys01 do you already saw one single forum "stable rom"? ROMs, recoveries and all that kind of thing are always in development, even stable!
stevendeb25 sorry for that, rage attack =( it dont worked, i already explained why
LordOfTheSnatch i came for this since the first ROM to motorola dext, if i did that, i know the harms, but yeah, lets stay out of this while doesnt have one made or ported for atrix
dont get me wrong, but im pissed now, one of the things is because it doesnt worked, sorry for anything

YOU should know that ANY time you put a non stock file on your device you have a chance of breaking/bricking it!
The disclaimers are for stupid people who think that .................... oh, wait..........err...............sorry!!!

Everyone who knows what they are doing knows it can brick your phone, especially when it isn't made for your phone. The other people just get what's coming to them for doing stuff they don't understand without researching first.
First rule of flashing.... IT MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE. Even if it is stable.

The OP linked to a thread for a completely different phone. Did you honestly think it was going to work 100% on every atrix device? Use your head!
*Disclaimer, doesn't work on brazil phones courtesy of guidoido004

Can you please explain what is the point of this thread?.
You just linked to a topic with an app for another phone that doesn't do anything usefull.
What's the point?. Does this contribute anything?.

no,
it means they got a developer edition of the phone, which is unsecure and with root by default.

@Cpasjuste and @ggow, I think you could provide to us your unlocked aboot partition for already rooted users and do not distribute any tools and do not violate any agreements with JCase.
What you think?
Hi ONYXis. I have no agreement with jcase, and I don't like him. The thing is there is a very high risk of brick, I don't think its a good idea. That said I know someone who will look at it and Ill let you know of course.

I could care not if you liked me or not, but you are full of it saying it has a very high risk of brick. It is down right safe. You don't know how it works, even though details have been public for many months.
If I recall correctly myself or an associate unlocked his before we started getting harassed.
His aboot is no different than the others ones, its not a patched or modified loader, and it will do no good having it.
