The Immortality series were good, but they are now dead. They were the kernels that taught me how to dev, now its time for an evolution. The 99Problemz series are all about performance, no lag, no freezes, just smoothness. This kernel included everything from Immortality-CM, but brings more features. And now to the disclaimer:
I (NOR TEAM WHISKEY NOR TEAM INFINITY) WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER FLASHING THIS. PLEASE READ ALL NOTES AND WARNINGS, FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, MAKE A NANDROID, HAVE ODIN READY, AND FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Features:
Updated to work with stable CM7 and updated MIUI and OMFGB roms
Voodoo Sound v10
Voodoo Color
CWM Recovery v5.0.2.6
BLN supported (use BLN Control app to utilize)
Safely boots to 1ghz
OCable to 1.4ghz
User configurable UV
BFQv2 scheduler(set to default)
Smartass and Smartassv2 governor option available
GPU tweaks integrated
Integrated v(r) scheduler
Integrated zram and zache
LIPPOL94's kernel cleaning script integrated into flash package
Notes:
1. BLN is fully supported, use BLN Control to use BLN
2. This kernel uses the same stock voltages as the stock CM7 kernel, and boots at 1ghz. Use SetCPU or Voltage Control to OC/UV as you see fit.
Known issues:
BLN blinking is reported not working, fix coming soon.

Same here.... hopefully even better battery life

Thank you very much for new kernel.
Bali rocked...

just tested.....fully ffc compatible.
goodwrk! plus i love the boot picture

Do you use any of the "leakage" tweaks the Glitch ML and LL kernels do that allow for better overclocking and undervolting? Would love to try out your kernel, but I've become rather attached to 1400mhz, which I can't reach without those tweaks.

I have thought about it, but I wanted to keep these series as stable and universal as possible. I will consider adding those into the next version.

I keep getting this error...
"403. That’s an error.

I'm in the USA... Washington state to be specific... is there a specific country I should find a proxy from or can someone mirror?
EDIT: Used a proxy, was able to download. Thanks!

sound?
i have a great question. just like bali and the stock for miui the sound is really quiet. glitch got theres to sound pretty decent in volume. do you have a tweak for this as well? please say yes

i correct myself....recording video with ffc is fine, but playback is a screwed up.

Love the smoothness on this kernel. Using the SmartAssV2 and my vibrant is running like a champ! Kudos to the Dev.

I try to use BLN and the blinking option doesn't work. Any help?

Apparently it won't even let me access Recovery as if it doesn't even exist. I don't want to have to Odin back to stock just to get everything working.
Anything you can suggest?

I'd check what rom you are trying to use with this Kernel. I believe the dev said it was compatible with CM7 and Miui. So i'm guessing your results may vary depending your rom.

Beta 3 is the most stable build yet. Technically, it should be out of beta, but I still have a couple more modifications to throw in. You won't have any problems with this build. PLEASE run this rom as is and report bugs. DO NOT flash this and then flash other kernels or modifications and then post bugs because we'll have no idea if its the rom or the other kernels or mods you've installed causing the problem.
Nero Beta 3:
- Updated Market
- Updated VoiceSearch
- Fixed blurry mms issue
- Mounting issue fixed (hopefully)
- Added multiple lock screens and Power menu options (HUGE thanks to Jocelyn for her contribution!)
- New shutdown sound
- New livewallpaper
- New status icons
- init script edits for a little extra speed (still tweaking to get it just right)
- Framework edits
Please check out our forum for tons of extras, and don't forget to visit us in our IRC for any help you may need, we're happy to assist.
Nero Beta 2:
- Full JL1 base with our modifications of course
- Heavily modified to look and feel like the nexus s (gingerbread)
- Fixed the black text on black submenu issue. its not white text on black as it should be.
- Modified init scripts for added speed
- Updated Maps
- Updated Gmail
- Updated YouTube
- Additional Framework edits
- New Bootanimation

Just trying to make Everyone Happy as all I keep hearing is Lagfix Lagfix... I only Use JFS on Data though.. I don't see the need to use anything else honestly..
I agree with you, JFS is a tried and true low-overhead file-system.
i got insanely goot battery w/ EB-Productions Kernel #2.
I wonder what the battery life is like on the A7/A8 kernels. i might have to try them out. (right now running TW kernel though, I love the work of both TW and eugene).
I'll have to compare battery of the TW kernel to the A8 kernel sometime soon.
are a7 and such overclocked like the one included in macnut? would be kinda sorta tight
Works great Eugene, thank you. Just a heads up - the external sd mounts as a protected cd drive and you are unable to copy to and from your computer. I'm using kernel A8.
Thanks for the kernels Eugene!

If you not using Macnut R12 likely will Happen... You have to edit the Vold.fstab to fix it..
Regarding OC / UV..
A7 & A8 is not OC nor UV.. I am however Working on those currently.. Easy enough to do..
would it be possible to add a no-RFS advanced EXT2 option?
thx

I could be wrong but I don't think Eugene plans to add lagfix options to this kernel. The advanced lagfix options are ported from the ULF Galaxy S kernel. But like I said I could be wrong...
One bug I noticed with this kernel is if performing a backup with ROM manager or any time you reboot from recovery, the phone just hangs on Galaxy S splash screen with no activity. It boots right up after a battery pull though.

Or will I have to format the sd-card for ext4?
Thanks, Duffy

the ext4 "mount" hack is included with this kernel. flash rom - reboot - then flash this kernel
if you want to see the speed difference from the ext4 hack in the kernel run some quadrants first, then flash the kernel from recovery
the sd-card ext4 mod (different) can be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing so I don't recommend it
Is putting the smartass governor in this out of the question?

I'll differentiate from main nexus s custom rom Bionix (cause CM7 is still unstable).
The different kernel: Netarchy kernel is much more stable than Trinity, i never had a random reboot, instead with trinity and bionix rom i had something like 3 reboots per day.
This is why i decided to bake a rom.
Another difference is that i'm keeping the rom light and clean, without putting useless apps.
Oh and with bionix you can't find some apps in market (like flash), with mine those apps are available

I've not tried this ROM yet so I apologise .... does this ROM have the drop down power control widgets like in cyanogen ? I like that feature a lot, widgetsoid doesn't replicate this sufficiently for me so if the drop down power control widget could be included then this sounds pretty perfect to me, a nice "light" ROM...

[KERNEL] [GPL] Honity12/14 - cm7 VSV6+BLN V4 / modaco - 2.3.3 - full voodoo

Working on Trinity14 I had to try the boot animation simms22 was so loving.
Loved it enough to turn Trinity14 into Honity14.
What differentiates Honity from Trinity is the single frequency OC that should work on more phones than the multi frequency OC variant of Trinity Max and Trinity Vmax.
Yes, i seriously include a bootnanimation.zip with this, it's just more fun with it.
This 2.3.3 Kernel is for CM7 and now also for modaco
I9023 users, hold off getting excited, the LCD may not be the only difference, keeping you from using BLN in this case. I will update this as I find out more about I9023 differences.
Voodoo Sound v6 (cm7)/ v6 (modaco) (Thanks supercurio)
Voodoo Color (impressive new controls) (Thanks supercurio)
BLN V2(Backlight notification) (Big Thanks Neldar! buy his app for blinking notification)
Based on 2.3.3 Gingerbread source.
Safeboot to 1GHz for those phones that don't like OC (But 1.2/1.4 can be used with setcpu)
TUN (Tunneling/VPN support)
CIFS (Samba support)
EXT4 mount fix
HBS - Honey Based Steroids
Modaco kernel now available
A little note on blinking with BLN, it will use more power, static lights as notification you wouldn't have to worry about if you are worried about your battery, your 100 extra apps use way more than BLN.
Honity12 - cm7 - w/ VSV6 + BLN V4
Honity14 - cm7 - w/ VSV6 + BLN V4
Honity12 - modaco - w/ VSV6 + BLN V4
Honity14 - modaco - w/ VSV6 + BLN V4
Major Changes/Fixes:
Voodoo Sound Version6
BLN added, static and blinking lights work (blinking requires neldar's BLN Control Pro app)
Yes i am daring and i click this link because i want to test test test, bring it on, my phone shouldn't break with these but could, i am aware of it, and still i click this link, should i have the urge to format my sd or wipe my phone i will fight it and instead reboot and rejoice.
Sounds good gonna test it out.

Back Light Notifications, I believe.
Just a kernel addition that allowed the back button (?) to flash on and off when you have a notification since the Nexus S / Galaxy S phones lack a notification LED.
Actually kinda funny.
This is a kernel that shoudl work for everybody, right?
Well it bootloops at my Nexus S x)
But when i flashed another kernel the boot animation was still there D:
