First Android 4.0.3 firmwares for Galaxy Tab 2 online! - Galaxy Tab 2 7" Android Development

Is this gonna make our TAB 10.1 work with a Camera too?
Here are the firmware details:
P3100XWALD2_P3100OJVALD3_OJV
P5100XXALD6_P5100OJVALD4_OJV
http://www.samfirmware.com/

The new tab devices have a wholly different camera, so I doubt it.

Apparently the Galaxy Tab 10.1 update for ICS is being rolled out thru Canada now.. according to Engadget:

Anyone in Canada got a 10.1 and received the ICS update yet?

Just checked, not up as of right now.

Downloaded and looking at it. Hope I don't brick my tab trying a workable port... not promising anything.

Nice
Here we go....

There are A LOT of differences. So it is a shot in the dark... like I said though, no promises.

If you bought a galaxy tab 2 7" in the us, it is most likely p3113, don't flash these firmwares.

[Q] Wait... I am confused

I got Froyo some month ago using kies without any reghack, and now after I've been inactive from XDA for some month I see that official froyo is about to be released?! What do I have then? Am I missing something?
/me is confused
I believe the i9000 has actually had the release one for some time, they just hadn't released it for the test of the galaxy s line, that's who they were talking about

Oh, but wouldn't those discussions not be in the respective forum, not in the international one?

Rogers release v20c 10-02-12

Just got the update notification, currently running and quite happy with GB v20b. No rush for me to update to GB v20c. Thought some might be interested.
Cheers

We've had V20C for quite a while. It's currently unrootable.

Just popped into say that I'm currently building a ROM. Hopefully based of V20C
oooooh teasing bad!
Sent from my LG Thrill 4G...
I totally see what you mean.
The title threw me off.
There's a V20B_00.kdz available now.
If' it's rootable and runs on AT&T frequencies, I'm using it as a base. Screw V20C. xD
WOAH! V20B_00.kdz seems to be PURE LG.
No bloatware or anything.
Not rootable yet though.
I'm going head on into this. The most LEGIT Lg rom yet.
Rootable or not. Gb without the bloatware sounds awesome

Forget it.
They aren't rootable.
I'm starting development on V21A

Don't worry. A ROM is in the works. Gingerbread of course.
I figured I have been watching. i played with it last week but got no where. I have to say I like that LG better then my Galaxy for some things for sure. The keyboard is way better then my S II
And why can we not use the Roger's baseband? Different radio or frequencies or what? I'm just a layman on this, but at first thought, I'd expect that it might work. Just wanting to know, to learn.

Yea link please. I'm still having baseband issues and want to reupgrade anyway.
Is the baseband a set of files like in the system folder. I'm think with a bit of tweaking they should run on 21A.
The issue I have is that the signal keeps dropping of on the 21A rom but it is fine on the 20A.

ICS update rollout?

Just wondered how long it takes Samsung to roll out an update normally? ICS has been out only in Germany, and, its been a few days with no other countries seeing an update.
This is my first Samsung (and Android) device, so quite interested!
I live in the UK and have a Sim-free handset from Amazon UK.

Nah it is official release, but as it has many issues I don't think they roll it out to other country's so as it is. So they will produce a new one, I guess they will roll it out on Germany first, as I have mentioned on other threads it is like the la1 a buggy gingerbread at mid of January's if I remember right.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
The same thing happened with the galaxy s2, the initial ics rollout had so many issues, everyone had to revert. I don't think the issues where quite as severe as ours though

P7300 or P7310?

i searched the forums but couldn't find the answer:
When I look at model number all I get is SGH-I957
I installed the samsung drivers but still cannot get it to show in windows. Do I have the P7300 or P7310?
Thanks
P7300 has 3g, P7310 is wifi only.

That clears up a lot. lol.
Funny I bought 2 cables for the Tab... could not get device to recognize then I used the other cable and it worked...
After a bit of searching, it appears that it is more complicated. The P7300/7310 models have the Tegra processor and your SGH-I957 has a Snapdragon processor. Yours also has 4G.
So the answer to your question is neither.

carefull!!! don't flash the p7310/7300 roms on your tab! it won't work and maybe even brick it! your tab has completely different hardware (as mentioned before tegra2 vs snapdragon)
there is a subforum for your tabs developement (it even has sgh-i957 written on, so im not sure how you missed it....)
sadly there is not much developement going on and no ICS version yet but who knows...
