What Apps Are Safe To Disable

I'm using Startup Manager. These apps run after startup. Just want to know what I can disable safely.

[Q] Phone (local) account disappeared

I've rooted my device and then removed the applications below, following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185041

I've reboot the phone, and only then did I see that my phone account has disappeared (no more phone contacts or agenda). It does not show up anywhere. It is not present on the accounts list either, and I cannot create anything other than a Google account.
Soft reset didn't help. Using the "Contacts Test" entry from the hidden menu, I could insert 50 accounts in the phone account, but still no way to do this manually. I've reinstalled SNS.apk, but it didn't help either. Any idea please ?

Problem revolved
It's the PCSync.apk application which is responsible to expose the phone local data.
Those data are to be synchronized via OBEX with the LG windows tool. Since I do not have windows, I didn't understand immediately the role of this application.

[Q] Moto Facebook Authenticator 2.3.4 not working

After installing the "Official Facebook" App I noticed that the social updates for the gallery were no longer working. I am presuming that the stock Moto Facebook program "FB Authenticator 2.3.4" is what provides the sync of contacts and social content to the device.
Here is a list of troubleshooting I have completed looking for any insight...
I proceeded to delete the official app and remove Facebook from "My Accounts" and rebooted the device.
FB contacts and contact pics disappeared.
Launched gallery added "social media account" selected the FB icon from My Accounts login was successful. Nothing
Looked at Moto "social networking" app and no FB updates only Linked In
Went to | settings>battery & data manager>data delivery> social applications and enabled Sync over Wifi only. Checked all applications "gallery" shows no FB updates or friends. "social networking" working. No FB contacts in contacts
Went to | manage apps>all>Facebook authenticator : storage and cache read all zeros 0.00 all options greyed out like app is not even running.

I'm having the same issue.. in other forums/threads rumor has it that Google is actively blocking facebook contact integration because Facebook does not allow users to export their data.

If you check apps is Moto Facebook Authenticator 2.3.4 running ?

Friendcaster is all you need.

Did anyone find a fix for this (other than using a 3rd party app like friendcaster) ?

[FYI] Guide to stock ROM packages

I see a lot of posts all over with people asking which packages can be safely disabled or removed for any given device or ROM. It's tough to give an easy answer as each person's needs and desires are different. So, I figured I'd share the research that I've done on the Sprint 10's stock ROM's packages to hopefully help people make better informed descisions for themselves.
I'll embed a more human-readable version in the post, but I've also attached the original, which is a semicolon-seperated-list that can easily be parsed by scripts and the like. This list is for the current, latest ROM, 2.42.651.63. The fields of the list are as follows:
1. A single character that attempts to group packages by similar characteristics. Characters are as follows:​
"A" is for core Android packages that almost always need to be there and enabled for general operating system functionallity.
"C" is for core third-party packages, generally needed for cellular operation and shouldn't be disabled/removed.
"G" is for Google packages needed for using Google apps and services, including the Play Store. Really, all of these can be disabled/removed if you don't need/want Google's offerings.
"H" is for HTC packages. A lot of these can be safely removed/disabled, but be careful so as not to break some of the functionallity of HTC's "Android experience."
"Q" is for Qualcomm packages. These should be there and enabled.
"S" is for Sprint packages. These can all be safely disabled/removed with the possible exception of the Voicemail app, which is needed for getting and configuring voicemail notifications.
"T" is for third-party packages. All of these should be able to be safely disabled/removed, but possibly at the cost of additional functionallity or services.​
2. The name of the package as it appears in the application listing under Settings. The list is sorted by this field.​
3. An optional field that is an attempt at a concise description.​
4. The internal package name. Useful for manually manipulating apps via the 'pm' command-line utility.​
5. The full path to the package on the device.​
6. An optional comma-seperated list of additional files/directories associated with the package that can be removed along with the app to free up disk space and possibly improve security by reducing attack surface area.​
The list is a living document and I'll try to post updates as it evoles if people find it useful. Any feedback is welcome.

Question Google contacts not syncing

Hi Guys,
i got my x60pro+ yesterday, updated it to the latest PD2056_A_1.13.7, and i cant have my contact synced to the device.
in my google account sync settings, i dont have an option to sync contacts.
nor the google contacts app shows any contact.
i checked through the system apps, and i couldn't find "goole contacts sync" app (
)
what am i missing?

ok, happed to be a "simple" fix -
from apkmiror, download the app"google-contacts-sync"

the trick is to install from the imanager the app, restarted and then it appeared and synced.

Are u also having an issue with contacts that are not syncing from Google contacts app on cell to web... But it is syncing from web to cell app... Any thoughts?
