What warranty comes with the camera in the uk ? - Galaxy Camera Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I buy my camera in the new year I'm debating to extend the warranty to three years most retailers say it comes with 1yr warranty but sammy usually gives 2 plus argos says it's 2yrs also so I'm confused. Can anyone in the uk tell me what warranty comes with the camera pls
I'm debating paying £62 for jessops warranty as it covers accidental damage but wanted to check
Thanks

Surely someone in the uk has the camera and can tell me by checking the warranty slip ?

Display broken (buy New display?)

Hi, today I left my tablet hit the floor and the display broke ... Could indicate where sells this display, but in Brazil because this device is not supported any .... Thanks

I would sell it for parts and buy a new one. Probably would be cheaper anyways.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
i would agree right now the cost of the glass and repair will be more then the cost of the device..
Hey that last image you have up there looks like a ms COA key. you might wanna check that
Looks like the hit spans the whole way across the glass. What kind of fall did it take?
Truth ... I could contact ASUS Brazil and informed me that you can not repair the system, but because the system is idle import them at the moment ... I'll wait a few more months ...: '(

S III mini Indian Users

Hi, I'm wanting to buy this phone soon, and I want to know whether the Indian users here are getting warranty from Samsung? The phone isn't released here YET, so those who have imported it, could you please tl me this?
Thanks a bunch.

I'm not really sure but I think the warranty is for 24 months in Europe so it should be the same in India too.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda premium
I don't think so. I'll be buying it on eBay, and the seller has said it is imported. It's not released here yet, that's why I wanted to ask the Indian Users here whether Samsung is ready to give them warranty.

Yes but every new phone must come with some kind of warranty even if its 12 months.

It comes with seller warranty. So, I guess I'll end up buying this. Or maybe the Xperia S.
Thanks anyway.

New z1 with dust under display.

So I just received my xperia z1 yesterday from clove and after spending the whole night setting it all up painstakingly, I found 2 small specks of dust under the display. Seems the QC isn't terribly good -- anyone else face any similar ssues with the first batch of phones?
I'm now waiting for clove to get back to me. Sigh.
No issues here... Is it under your screen protector?

glad you got a good unit! I'm contemplating what to do now, as clove days I can either return the device or I can get a "discount".
If you are unhappy with the dust then best to get another unit, it would anoy me knowing it was there

Where you sending it from? If it's defective which it is then surely they should pick up the return postage?

I got the device from Clove but I'm in Hong Kong. Just spoke to their customer rep and he says I either send it back and bear the shopping cost or receive a "discount" for the existing unit. Its my fault I suppose for not checking on returns earlier!!

That's not very good in my opinion. Did you pay import charges too? If you did and you send it back then they send you a replacement and they do not declare it as a repair then you will probably pay import charges again, is the discount enough that you can live with the phone?

no import charges (thank god). I'm thinking of just returning it for a full refund and wait for the device to be launched here. But I also want to use it, so I'm torn.
they have yet to revert on the discount that they are willing to offer citing that they are extremely busy with the other z1 orders! I'm sp frustrated as the phone is all set up and its now in the box, and I have to use my wp8 in the meantime.

If the discount was alright then I'd live with it until you can lay your hands on another then eBay the one you have, if you don't lose any money then you could buy a new one, at least then you can just use the one you have for now

Insurance where to get it?

I seen in another thread people were getting Squaretrade. But I just got off the phone with them, and they don't cover smart watches. I know people were mentioning black tie through best buy, but what if you purchased through T mobile? What are your options?

I won't even get insurance on my phones. 5 bucks a month with a 10 dollar deductable. No thanks ill role the dice... by the time you need to make a claim you have already spent 100 bucks in monthly fees then another 100 for the claim. Them your spending 200 for a phone that's a year+ old.
With the watch the cost is only 300 I can't find a reason to insure that only to spend half the original cost on insurance 8 months down the road to have it replaced with refurbished out dated technology.
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app
The claim from the other thread was that the watch was bought under warranty rather than insurance. That's a huge difference. I'd like to know about buying warranty as well. I bought mine from Verizon. Maybe I should take mine back and get one at BB, so that I can buy warranty. Sorry achtung515, but your logic doesn't make sense on a watch that costs this much and is very delicate.

HTC Butterlly S repair in the Uk??

I bought a Butterfly S off eBay and was loving it until I managed to damage the SIM card connection by getting simcard stuck and pulling it out with tweezers. DOH!!! :'(
It wouldn't recognise any SIM card at all after.
I have had it at a local repair place for a couple of months. They can't get hold of the part and I'm gutted.
I was hoping anyone of you lovely guys and girls could give me any advice?
Thanks in advance.

Send it to HTC for repairs

They won't accept it in the UK as it's not a UK phone. I would have to send it to Taiwan apparently. Plus I would have to pay for the repairs.
I was hoping someone knows how to get it fixed here in the UK.

wow that really sucks =/
That's strange as I thought HTC North America can fix it, didn't think Europe would be any different. Tech support told me to contact RMA department to see if my headphone amp was faulty, but I didn't bother.

Its a global device, so it can b fixed at any htc repair facility. I had just got mine repaired, dead pixel, and it was freezing up. When i initially contacted htc, they tried telling me the warranty was no good! Lol. I called back an hour later, and they wrote up a ticket, and i sent it in for repair. It took about 2 and a half, maybe 3 weeks, i just got it back. Brand new! They replaced everything almost. I had dropped it, and there were a couple scuff marks on it, plus the screen had a few light scratches. Not anymore. They replaced the screen, and everything. Its mint condition again! There was a 20 fee for the global warranty. But oh well.
My suggestion, send it to the states, to a friend, have them get it fixed through htc repair and send it back to u. Good luck man.
