[V2.7][AROMA][22-1-13] Android Boot Animation Changer [Sense and Non-Sense Support!] - Android Themes

AndroidBoot Animation Changer
I have just made the changing of boot animations easier for everyone!
With this small AROMA script, you won't have to copy and paste or
replace or push things anymore; no more root explorers and computers!
Instructions:
Put the bootanimation.zip of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip
(you will have to replace the one already inside) and flash it in your recovery! Its that easy!
For changing of boot animation audio (only HTC Sense supported currently), put the android_audio.mp3
of your choice into the root of the downloaded zip (you will have to replace the one already inside too)
Inside the AROMA Installer, make sure you choose the two options correctly (Phone with or without HTC Sense)
because it not only changes the theme but also determines where the boot animations is.
If you do not have a qHD device, DO NOT flash this directly without changing the bootanimation.zip inside it first. I put a
qHD HTC boot animation inside, so if your phone's screen size isn't qHD, it will look quite ugly.
Sharing policy:
You are allowed to share this ZIP and/or any part of it as long as money is not involved (e.g. selling).
If you are a boot animation maker, you are allowed to put your boot animation in this ZIP and
share it, but you will have to mention me or my brother's name (KaiJun or kaienchua971, relatively)
and/or post a link to this very page.

Changelog:
V2.7 Minor update
Added busybox into the zip. No need for busybox on your system anymore!
V2.6 Minor update
Added ability to backup boot animation sound for Sense ROMs (Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update)
V2.5 Minor Update
Added ability to backup boot animation (option in AROMA. Requires busybox on your phone. Will fix that in the next update, after V2.6)
Added ability to replace boot animation audio for HTC Sense devices (just place android_audio.mp3 into the root of the ZIP, like the bootanimation.zip)
V2.0 Major Update
Added AROMA Installer!
Added support for non-HTC Sense devices
V1.0
Initial release
V1.0 can only be found in the HTC Sensation forums because it had only support for phones with HTC Sense

If you find this small script helpful, pressing "THANKS" at the bottom left corner or "Tip us?" at the top right corner of the post will help alot.

Really good job, but I like putting it in the system application folder. It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation.

'I like putting it in the system application folder." I don't get why you put it in the system application folder but nevermind,
" It is better because this doesn't backup other boot animation." I don't really understand what you mean but I edited the script to backup the boot animation onto the SD card and I'm probably uploading it a few minutes later.

[UPDATED 04/01/12] [OFFICIAL] Team EOS Boot Animations

As promised, I will be releasing animations regularly. Here are links to each:
1. Draw-On Graffiti Style Animation (The original from this post)
2. Team EOS Silver 3D Text Animation (A <2mb Replacement Quick Render)
3. Team EOS New Logo Design Animation! A first look at our new logo! (Full Animation) [NEW 04/01/12]
Artists! Design your own styled EOS themed animations. We have a skilled community and I'm sure you guys could come up with some great ones! They should be no larger than 12mb (at the most) and be verified working. Post them to this thread and I will add them here. Who knows, yours may end up in a later release!
To replace the stock zip use a market app like BAC orrr:
(this assumes that you are running a rooted aosp-sourced build and understand how to manipulate the filesystem in r/w)
Make backups of your bootanimation.zip file(s):
Check both /data/local and /system/media
1. Rename the downloaded animation file to bootanimation.zip
2. Check /data/local and delete bootanimation.zip if it exists.
3. Enter /system/media, delete bootanimation.zip, and move the new zip into its place.
4. Reboot the system.
If it borks it will either revert back to the shiny android text sequence and boot fine
OR
loop endlessly (could look fine could look crazy distorted, no matter) and still boot fine...with the exception that nothing will work.
If this happens, connect to the adb shell as superuser, list processes, and kill the bootanimation process. Revert your animation, report it to the designer and live happily ever after.

B. xda doesnt allow new accounts to post links
so i had to use ingenuity.

I did the same thing and ran into the same problem. I had to reboot into recovery and restore a previous nandroid. The boot animation looked cool, just not sure what the issue is. I sat there for 5+ minutes looking at "for science!".
to be honest guys there's two things I changed - firstly, we're running our build of ICS. Secondly, I'm using jpegs to reduce size. Nothing else has changed, and to be honest I've had this animation as well as others act unpredictably and work sometimes and loop others after copying over the *exact* same animation. I will do more research also, and any trials and error data would be helpful.
Quick side question: are you guys who are having loops using titanium backup, using the setup initiated google backup/restore, and/or running a security app such as Webroot on your tablets?
Also, are you copying these manually or using an app and to which location?

I'm using root explorer to push the bootanimation.zip to data/local directory... I do have titanium backup, but I only use it for user apps, not system, and I'm not using the google backup service or any kind of security app... Hope you get this working soon, really like this bootanimation. and thanks for taking the time to look into it...
OK everyone, turns out I made a mistake with my finalized formatting that I use. Here is the link to a proper working boot animation with the proper format. I will also update the link in the first post.
I will also render an ICS stock animation in this format and get it out today.

Oh, and for submitted animations, the specifications are:
-PNG or JPG Sequences
-704 x 440 size
-desc.txt should be 1408 880 24
also - the images must all have a border of deadspace static pixels.
You may use the template I posted here

About that boot-animation, I see that it's not working on some device. I recommend that do not use that setting. Just restore your backup boot-animation. But if you are willing to change your boot-animation, just use this method.
-Search some boot animations on forum search then. . . download it, place it to your SD-card
-Use Es-Explorer or any Root explorers
-Set up into Up until root directory and Mount system as R/W
-Go to /system/media/ as you can see the boot animation, rename the original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak that you can restore it anytime if you screwed up.
-Copy the downloaded bootanimation.zip to /system/media (If the downloaded file has another file name, just rename it into bootanimation)
-After that, long press the bootanimation.zip file and go to properties, set it up as readable.
-Restart your device, then. . . boom! :good:

[Bootanimation] my works!

Hey there! Just began creating some 1+1 bootanimations and so I decided to put the one that I think is the best that I made installation is classic: put the zip in system/media and rename it to "bootanimation.zip" (backup your previous bootanimation), then set the permissions to rw/r/r and reboot! For the flashable zips just flash it in recovery and you're ready to go!
I'll release these in different packs (usually 3-4 bootanimation for every release). If a bootanimation has the "Vx" in the name that means that i'll probably do better versions of it! If you want to use these for something ask me please! Also, if someone is able to compile it in order to use with cm11 theme manager, you're welcome but please send it to me so that i can keep the thread clean :3

I've found this bug on various roms and various kernel, and was able to solve only by putting Boeffla Kernel (even with underclocking). Still don't know why :/
Apks avaiable!
:3
Maybe is Kernel related? If using Nightlies M8 (I still keep a copy of the build 0813, the logo is rotating perfectly smooth)
The new one, even stock, the default Blue CM rotating arrow also laggy, but other bootanimation don't have such problem...

[1080 x 1920] [Total 752 Boots] My Flashable Boot Animations For The OPO (9/15/2016)

Hello there everyone my name is Jon Wesley Tranchida (Tran-Chee-Da is how my last name sounds) and this is my boot animation collection thread. Let me tell you a little about me. I love boot animations very much and I love to collect or make every single one that works on our One Plus One and I am a 20 year old android geek by heart and soul! These boot animations that I am sharing with you all are 100% working and tested on the one plus one. A lot of these boot animations i have resized so they work on our one plus one. I am collecting many different boot animations from One Plus One ROMS, Nexus 5 ROMS, any other places or forums, or CM11/12/12.1 Themes for us to enjoy. There will be many more boot animations that I will share daily that will be put into many separate zip packages for you to download. I am doing this because it creates a shorter thread and you don't have to scroll so much! To let you all know this is a 100% free project and I make NO MONEY from doing this and all these boot animations are given 100% credit to their developers who made them if there not made by me. All these boot animations should work on all 1080 x 1920 resolution devices! All I am doing is collecting them all and sharing them for free for all of us to enjoy! Let's get started with the ongoing collection!
These developers are given 100% credit for their work and for there boot animation threads:
1. androcraze (for his nexus 5 boot collection)
2. Many more devs that i forgot because there are tons (Please let me know if you want so i can give you credit
3. I took many boot animations from many ROMS from many devices so developers if you see that the boot animation is yours you are given full credit and its not mine!
There are 17 total separate boot animation packages that you can download. For all 17 total separate zips you download separately you get a grand total of 752 boot animations! Each separate zip contains a different amount of flashable boot animation zips inside that zip file. I will be listing the boot animation names as accurately as i can so that you at least know what boots are in each zip file. Please understand that it will take awhile for me to list all them. Each boot animation has been tested and is fully working on our one plus one as well as other 1080P devices! Let's start with each package now!
My boot animations should also work for the following devices:
(Please note that certain devices such as samsung devices need a boot animation zip enabler in order to work!)
1. Samsung Galaxy S4
2. Samsung Galaxy S5
3. Samsung Galaxy Note 3
4. LG Nexus 5
5. HTC One M7
6. HTC One M8
7. One Plus X
8. One Plus Two
9. HTC One M9
10. One Plus 3

Well, apparently I didn't help that much. Again, with batch processing, ImageMagick is your friend; There are Windows and Linux versions.
If fotosizer does the magic for you, then good for you.

Dude i am not addidng previews because first i don't have a good camera and 2 it takes up too much of my time and 3 do you realize how much space that would take up on this thread and do you realize that your pc would freeze up because it couldn't handle the amount of previews on the thread
Also android gives you so much possibility why not download the zipme app by the dev jrummy from the play store and use it to turn your current boot animation into a flashable backup.
Or pm me and give me your current boot and i will turn it into a flashable zip so if anything goes wrong you just boot into recovery and flash your boot backup and your phone i promise will boot up normally
I can promise you that these boots work as i have tested them on my s4 and one plus one both and they work fine

A preview can be a simple frame from the animation scaled; you don't have to create a full MP4 or GIF animation. In my animations thread for the N5, I scale the 1080x1920 screen image to 180x320, for a single, static image. It's enough to give users a general idea of what the animation looks like.
For your updates....
Every week you update one gigantic ZIP file with new animations. When you make 30 additions, users get to download those additions PLUS the 250 previous files that they already downloaded.
Why not break the ZIP into smaller zip files, say every 50 or so new animations? You could have:
OPO-1080x1920-bootanimations-collection-01.zip
OPO-1080x1920-bootanimations-collection-02.zip
OPO-1080x1920-bootanimations-collection-03.zip
OPO-1080x1920-bootanimations-collection-04.zip
etc.
etc.
etc.
You could also include a directory listing of the files included in each zip as well:
https://superuser.com/questions/395836/how-to-copy-a-list-of-file-names-to-text-file
With a 1.0 GB file size, your collection is starting to get daunting to download. At this point, your collection is strictly a PC-only option; few phone-only users (and there's a legion out there) will either be able, or have the desire, to download it.

Thanks for the help and tips i greatly appreciate it in fact i too believe that my 1gb zip file is just too big for people too download. I too wouldn't want to keep downloading a large file like that over and over. Which is why i have decided to make them into seperate packages like this:
OPOBootPackage#1
OPOBootPackage#2
OPOBootPackage#3
etc.....

[THEME][AROMA]System Animation 8 styles with 6 add-on adjustments [v1.1 - NOV 19]

More info layer,
Basically I've had several requests and noticed question in many threads asking for flashable zip options for different animations.
So I give you this, UNIVERSAL for MOST Samsung devices Aroma installer to give users the option for different choices!
This zip will work for MOST Samsung device running ANY Rom with ANY version Android!
And just to be safe, I have included in my scripts and files a method that will create a flashable restore zip of your files before the mods does its thing!
The restore zip will be inside the new "ozop" folder that has been created and the zip is named "ozop-restore.zip"
If something doesn't play nice, just flash the zip and you'll be back to the way it was before you flashed the mod
NOTE: the script will delete any existing restore zips EVERY TIME you flash a new option, meaning that if you flash the mod again, your original system files will be replace with the file you flash previously!
If you want to have a permanent back up of the original file, you will need to rename the zip inside the ozop folder to whatever, just can't have the same name or it gets replaces everything you flash the mod.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT SELECT THE S7 OPTION UNTIL I POST UPDATE WITH FIX!!! You will bootloop, all others are fine

I didn't include those animation, only because I don't have the files.
If someone wants to send me the framework-res.apk I can add them no problem.

Thanks for the questions and interest in the project.
Thanks again for supplying the S6 with ENDLESS Mods! @stangdriver44
GREAT AS ALWAYS TOP @stangdriver44

Unfortunately, no, unless someone want to flash each option, take a video screen video, convert it to a gif animated image, upload to a server and share the links here.
It's not possible for a single frame screenshot to show the effect of the animations. If you timed it just right, you could possibly catch an animation in action, but most likely it would be a scrambled up blurry image.
I am way to busy life and other projects to invest that kind of time.
Sorry..
Just flash and play with until you get what is best for you.
If you don't like, flash the stock option and move on.
Thanks for the interest and hope you find one you like.
Good day
Update: I was able to catch the 1 out of the 200 animations in action and with the 3 frames I grabbed with screenshots doesn't give you any idea of what the animation is doing. Lol
Can't say I didn't try...
Bro. Can you make one pixel animation.

Use the restore zip and report back to me all details about your device, rom, options you selected etc.
The more details you give the better I can troubleshoot.

It's possible.
This goes for anyone who has requests,
If you want even a possibility of animations from other devices, you will have to do your part by locating the file from that device which holds the animation files (Samsung is named "framework-res.apk"), some device's like HTC have the file named different so you must find and supply me the complete apk file.
At that point I will examine and determine the possibility of compatibility for our devices.
No promises I can do it or that it will be done right away.
Sorry, but I have other priorities that rank higher including my OZOP, "One Zip One Place" project from where I pulled this morning from.
OZOP is my Universal Aroma mod zip which includes many mods like this one, including debloat script, boot/shutdown animations, boot splash image and more!
If there is enough interest, I may consider updating my OZOP romLess project which is essentially the exact same thing c ad my full OZOP, but without the Rom system files making the zip about 800mb less.
All other options from both zip are the same.
Thanks to everyone and enjoy
