[COLLECTIONS][MIRROR] Official Firmwares, Kernels, Modems, Bootloaders - Galaxy S II I9100G Android Development

Official Firmwares, Kernels, Modems, Bootloaders
Hey guys! Since I got quite a decent connection in my university (uploading 500++MB takes only 5 minutes? lol), I decided to mirror the official firmwares etc. on Android File Host so that people can get better speeds than Hotfile...so here goes...
How this works:
1. If there is a new firmware, I will upload it ASAP.
2. When there is anyone else making a mirror, just leave a post and I will add the link to the OP.
3. If there is any request, post it here too and I might fulfill it if I got the time, or if someone else can help, then it will be better.
3. That's all! This will be community maintained, so dead links can be revived easily without depending on a single person only.
ODIN:
You shouldn't be attempting any mods to your phone at all if you do not have this! Pit file included in this package too (use it to fix unflashable phones). Get it here:

Which to use:
Easiest way: Test all and find out which suits you best! Phones are designed to be portable anyway...
Harder way: Find out which baseband comes with which firmware and use that (tedious process, I can't possibly test all and list them out)...
How to use:
1. All the above are .zip files. They are not for ODIN but for recovery.
2. Any recovery will do (stock, CWM, TWRP etc)
3. For custom recoveries, just place in your external/internal storage and flash like usual.
4. For stock 3e recovery, follow this:
- Place the zip in your external sdcard.
- Power off your device COMPLETELY.
- Boot into recovery mode by pressing Volume up + Home + Power buttons simultaneously.
- Navigate to "apply update from external storage" using the volume buttons.
- Select it by pressing the Power button.
- Select the zip.
- Wait for it to finish and navigate up (select "../").
- Select "reboot system now".
4. Done.

Bootloaders
GB Bootloader: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390362690511176336ICS Bootloader: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390362690511176338JB Bootloader: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390362690511176337
What are these? Well, bootloader is the layer that runs before running the kernel and loads into system. In order to reset your flash counter/remove warning triangle with a USB jig, you need a GB bootloader.
To flash AOSP ROMs, you need an ICS bootloader.
To solve multi coloured boot screen issues in 4.2.x AOSP ROMs, flash a JB bootloader.
But for stock ROMs, it is better if you use a GB bootloader for GB ROMs, ICS bootloader for ICS ROMs and JB bootloader for JB ROMs...
How to flash in ODIN:
1. Select the related .tar file in ODIN under BOOTLOADER section.
2. Tick Phone Bootloader Update (DO NOT select Re-Partition)
3. Start flashing.
4. Done.

is this just for I9000 roms or can we use others? is so which ones?
this looks promising, im guessing this is just for ICS ROMS on I9000 since the title says "for ics"
Does this apply to ALL ICS ROMS in I9000 or are there specific ones?

Well technically vibrant can flash i9000 roms with some minor issues like key mapping, sound path and gps.
This patch seems to take care of it (in a convenient way) and since ICS kernels seem to play nice it should work for all ICS roms.

Did it just say like Installation Aborted in the Recovery? Or what else happened?
Did you make sure its not a bad download.
Get the .zip on PC and open it with winRAR, if its corrupted/bad download it'll give you errors, if it says nothing, its good and the patch probably needs working on.
Thats really weird too, it should've just flashed right on and even if the patch didn't work, it should've booted up and the capac. buttons would've been flipped etc. no signal (kernel) those would've been issues that are known.
This is amazing documentation.

I can't check the download as I have already deleted it, but I did check that it was a full download. Usually if it is a bad download, it will not be the correct mb size. And I forget exactly what it said when it failed...sorry. Has anyone else tried?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA
sorry but it is not the fault of patch if the rom is not flashing
the patch will just install a working kernel and keylayout files and some minor tid-bits
did you install the rom with twrp kernel which is in the patch and also patch should be flashed again after flashing the rom
I did flash the patch first. Rebooted into recovery and then tried flashing the ROM. No go. ROM flash failed. Why hasn't anyone else tried this patch? Sheesh...scaredy cats? I'm surprised I'm the only one so far...

Update did not work for me ?
Update starts without issue, but the last step appears to be updating remaining files...or something of that nature
At that point - the recovery details appear above the script, and just sits there. When I reboot system I get the Galaxy tab screen - then a blank screen, and nothing else
I was able to get back into download mode - successfully returned to stock rom(as indicated in your instructions).
I've done this three times - no luck

Update starts without issue, but the last step appears to be updating remaining files...or something of that nature
At that point - the recovery details appear above the script, and just sits there. When I reboot system I get the Galaxy tab screen - then a blank screen, and nothing else

Could this be due to the file being broken into two zip files? There's a part 1 and part 2, and the op doesn't address how to flash like that. Do we flash both files or do we need to unzip each file, combine, and repackage for flashing?

Where because I cant find them.
Also the download is dead. Mediafire doesn't like multi part files. Why don't you put the file back together into one so it can be flashed. If you need some where to dump a single file I will let you use a spot on my dropbox.
Aren't these the same OTA files for the p3113 that have been available since September on SamFirmware.com?

It does look like it to me. There are even flashable ROMs of the latest 4.1.1 (P3113UECLI4)... like this [ROM][9/18][GT-P31XX][JB][4.1.1]Stock_Rooted_Deodex_Zipalign.
Isn't the version that Romswell is built from come from the U.K. version or something like that?
Could this be a U.S version? What else could change that would make this different?
stupid question?
Since tis is a stock rom do I need to root my tablet prior to flash it?

If you have to ask, you don't need it....
Samsung have released the base firmware with a much higher changelist, meaning, probably some bug/exploit fixes and other "under the hood" improvements.
I don't understand. What "other" "stock" firmware are you referring to? Where? As far as I know, the ROM in Post #2 is the only P6800 XXLQG custom "stock" ROM do far......
Just because a ROM isn't ASOP etc, doesn't mean it's stock.
Technically, even this ROM is not stock, it is a custom (modified) ROM. Is based on stock official firmware (unmodified). I just call it "stock" so Users won't be confused with custom SkyHigh ROMs which have a plethora of mods/tweaks and options.
Edit: ok, edited some description to include the word "custom"...

Just flashed, and it all seems good!
1. Does it actually boot? Yes.
2. Use a root checker app and see if root access & busybox installed ok. (you may need to run SuperSU first and "update binary", if asked) Root OK, no need to update binary.
3. Does the init.d support work? Check log in data/local/tmp (from memory....) Don't know how to check. No log file in that folder...
4. Normal expected functions as released by Samsung: None found yet.
5. ROM or firmware "bugs": None found yet

That's for the feedback.
3. Use a root type explorer app and check to see if you have a 99test in your system/etc/init.d folder?
It should (if working) write a log to data/local/tmp/init.d_log_test.txt
If you open the log, and see the word "done", and is (should be) written every boot

Hi UITA!
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to install your custom stock ROM with Mobile Odin, just to preserve root:
Thanks for your work

Packaged only as CWM flashable zip.
As per installation instructions ; require a custom recovery to flash.
You will not lose root during the flashing process....

Found the 99test file, but unfortunately there is no log file...
Edit: ROM seems quite good. No bugs discovered except one: some times my screen goes all black while using the tab. Don't know what triggers it. It stays like that for maybe five seconds before it comes back to life on lock screen. However it chops screen (image displays portrait although tab is landscape).
I also miss your tweaks - Skyhigh 3.6 is way more responsive and snappy

If you haven't already;
1. Please factory reset in recovery
2. Followed by immediately flash ROM
3. Reboot
4. Don't restore anything
5. Check & test again
Unfortunately, if these issues aren't same for all, and I can't determine the error by sight, there will be no SkyHigh ROM v4.0 using XXLQG firmware, and also put this ROM "to the sword".
Thanks

[FIRMWARE][ODIN] All Sprint Firmwares {2/13/14}

Finally a way to flash modems/firmwares without needing to take the OTA!! This means no losing Root, no losing Recovery, no data wipe, just strictly updating the Firmware!!
There are two different versions available here, one includes the bootloader chain and the other does not, if you're unsure of which one to use, simply use the one without. (First one listed) None of these include the KNOX Bootloader. I didn't want to include it and have someone mistakenly flash it. I can produce these upon request, but this simply isn't necessary to update.
The download links are listed in the second post, but READ the instructions carefully as the procedure is very specific.
What you need:
An extracted FirmwareAIO.tar.md5 from the second post
Odin (I used 3.07, but I am pretty sure others work too)
A PC... (duh)
Sprint Galaxy S4
A brain
Here is the procedure:
Power OFF the phone (do not use reboot to download mode, do a full power off)
Hold down the Volume down key and then press and hold the power Key.
When the screen lights up, release both
Press Volume up to Continue past the first screen, you should now be in Download Mode.
Plug the phone into the PC with Odin
Fire up Odin and select the modem tar.md5 file with the PDA button
Click Start and Let it flash until it's done.
It will auto reboot and you'll be all set.
NOTE: With MJA/MK2/NAE Firmware, some people report better success with turning Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time unchecked. Do the same flash, but when you see PASS on Odin, unplug the phone and Hold the Power key for 10 seconds to reboot.

If you're on ForceROM 2.0 or greater, then you should already be on MDL firmware, because that was one of the things you had to do before upgrading.
But to tell which one you're on, go to settings, more and about phone. The last three characters of the baseband version will tell you what you're on.

I've never used either of them, so I can't say, but try it maybe? let us know if it works?
What I can say is that I've tried to put them into an update zip to flash in recovery, but with no success.

No, I won't include a modem in a ROM. (It wouldn't work anyways..)
But I will point at this thread when there is a modem/firmware update that's needed.
