CMHasty ROM
Unofficial CM10 build with optimized toolchain, Linaro and O3 Optimization
This is a CM10 build with emphasis on code optimization and speed
I not intend to add any mod or big change in original CM10 code, this ROM was build for the purpose of speed based on code optimization
It is based on latest source from CM10 with Linaro patches, a Toolchain special build for Xperia Arc CPU and personalized device tree for better device optimization

You did a full wipe and test with kernel inside, or test direct with 3.4?
Because I dont have this problem, and it seems to be relate to cache or previous data.

This kernel is based on the latest TheAceKernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606352 from skynet28. Big thanks to him.
FEATURES:
- most of TheAceKernel features
- battery driver made by LibiSC
- some improvements in idle support for ARM
- overlocked AHB clock at 800,768,729Mhz (improved graphic performance I think)
- some changes in net stack
- improved jhash
- patched lowmemorykiller from zImage-Mod (but it is still compatible witch memory tweaks scripts)
- kernel compression changed to XZ
- default governor is smartassV2 and removed lulzactive (doesn't works for me and made errors in dmesg)
- small changes in smartassV2
- partly disable vsync (I hope)
Hope that's all, my memory isn't good.

FAQ:
- For ROM developers, if you need the boot.img run form adb:
Code:
adb pull /tmp/boot.img
Or use qtadb, this is only way to get boot.img, and don't ask my for this on PM!
Changelog:
- update kgsl driver from teamhacksung
- update some arch specific files from teamhacksung too
- some other patches from teamhacksung (sensors, dram etc.).
29.05.2012
- screen of profile in the kernel, now when you turn of you screen you max cpu clock will by set to 320Mhz and min to 120Mhz! And when you turn it up it goes back to old clock! No need to use SetCPU screen of profile! Kernel based screen of profile is much faster and doesn't lag! Note: if you get lagy music when screen of that means you have to heavy EQ, disable it or use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653140 works good without lag if you don't use REV or VR. Works witch any govenor
- small changes in smartassV2
Note about the update - I don't know why, but for my something sets after boot always ondemand as governor, I tried to add script to set smartassV2 as default but this doesn't work (strange), but you can easy set witch for example SetCPU/No-frills CPU Control.
31.05.2012
- create version for official CM
- update Samsung internal storage drivers and wifi driver
- new locale version
- clean up init scripts in ramdisk
- ondemand on boot bug should be fixed
4.06.2012
- finally disable vsync
- adjustable screen off profile, you can write a simple script to adjust the profile like this:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
echo "122880" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/min_screenoff_frequency
echo "245760" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/max_screenoff_frequency
Put into /system/etc/init.d/ and set permission, you can name it for example s99screenoff, you turn of the profile by writing this script:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
echo "0" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/screenoff
- updates in zlib, vmalloc and kgsl
- update LibiSC battery driver
07.06.12
- triple buffer for framebuffer
- add oc support
- many changes in mmc driver
- sio as default I/O sheduler
- changes in kgsl driver
- fixed torch in official
- AROMA Installer package
11.06.2012
- fixes min backlight bug
- disable tripple buffer
- add 799Mhz step to save battery in non-OC

- ported cpuidle from 3.2 kernel
- some changes in ext4 driver
- fixes temperature driver
22.07.2012
- update LibiSC battery driver
- some more steps in OC version
- enabled zcache
18.08.2012
- kernel compiled using gcc-linaro
- disable optimaztion for size
- optimaztion level changed to O3
- force to load module when not match version magic (no need to use kernel prefix -CLXXXX...)
- enabled memory compaction
- kernel uses mem{cpy,set}() for {copy_to,clear}_user()
28.08.2012
- battery driver back to 23.06 version witch some changes (should fix fast drop down under 20%)
- update sources to 2.6.35.14
- changes in RCU subsystem
- changes in mempolicy and ashmem
- update BFQ to v2 r1
- update Samsung modules for internal storage and wifi from KTQ

- Some small changes in KSM, frontswap and cleancache
09.10.2012
- Fixed bootloop when using Adrenaline Engine (but if you allready have bootloop you need to wipe data and cache, sorry about that)
- redisable GENTLTE_FAIR_SLEEPERS
I'll wait for OC
Hi dragonn!!
I'm really happy to see that you're making your own kernel! I'll install it right away!
Just 2 questions, can i use it with last CM7 RC3 with everything working (especially the proximity sensor)? and is it updated (CL882825)?
Thank you man!

I don't know about the official CM, try yourself, on CM 7.2 by vo-1 works perfect. What did you mean witch "and is it updated (CL882825)"?
Great news, wonderful to see you carry on the great work of ketut, an0nym0us and skynet28 — this evolving Ace kernel is really a perfect example of how great open-source really is!!!
Nice name too!
will my ace burn up in ashes ?
its too damm hot that kernel XD

I meant that in last kolja's build, the kernel is this one: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL882825. Other builds had a lower CL number (I can't remember which one) and it seems that this newer kernel is faster and less battery hungry.
So I just asked if you based your kernel in this last one or in the older ones (like ketut's I think).
Thank you very much! I'll test it ASAP!

For now it is CL562111, maybe when I found the sources of CL882825 will update it. Maybe in next release. Thanks for the idea.
EDIT
I search kolja's github but the sources have CL2X, and the latest update is 10 months ago :?.

nice..
finally u compiled your own kernel.
btw the CL882825 and CL562111 is just kernel localversion, those numbers doesnt mean one is newer than another. samsung tends to replace kernel localversion for every gb rom updates, but it probably uses the same source.

It does make sense so i'll flash last vo-1's build to be able to enjoy your kernel!
Just one last question: I see that there are no files inside lib/modules in your kernel so, do I have to install TheAceKernel first (it has those files) and then yours?
Thank you very much again!

[ROM][AOSP][Unofficial]CarbonRom 2.0 beta[4.3.1][yuga][Oct 31]

Why choose for CarbonRom?
CarbonRom is an AOSP based rom, which is always compiled with the latest linaro toolchain. The kernel also is compiled with -O3 optimizations for better performance. It also gives you a great option of customization. Reasons to go for CarbonRom are:
- Compiled with Linaro, this will make your phone ultrafast and ultrasmooth
- AOSP based, s no bloatware or other stuff
- Great Customization options
- Nice look
- HALO
- ...
Current Version
CarbonRom 2.0 is still in early stages, it's Android 4.3, but not all features are implemented!
I won't manually search for all new features, just wait for an official 2.0 changelog when it is completed.
- Android 4.3
- HALO
- DSP Manager
- New battery icons
- stability and speed enhancements
- a million other little things as well - we basically don't even sleep anymore.
What is CarbonRom?
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, * * * * * @FXP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. *If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

Android 4.2.2 stable version
1.7 is a pretty big update for us! Check out the changelog on our goo.im page for more, but here are the highlights:
-We've fixed PIE! It no longer decides to be invisible from time to time.
-We fixed the battery charge light! None of us use it but apparently you guys are just nuts for it!
-Dark Carbon! Huge props to Slim Roms for coming up with this unique and awesome feature.
-Lockscreen theming
-CM skinny battery is back!
-Volume key lock on silent mode option
-Backup tool - if you're flashing a new version of Carbon and already have the required version of gapps installed, it will be backed up and restored during install. This applies to system apps and custom host files as well. Please note that you should only dirty flash from Carbon to Carbon. It's ok if it's another version or a nightly - just not over other roms. Super handy for you crack flashers. Make sure you've got the most recent Gapps though, and if you're flashing from a factory reset, you'll still need to install it after install of course.
-Long pressing the "clear recents" button clears the cache
-3.4 kernel on D2xxx devices. It's finally stable enough where we're comfortable with this - remember to only flash other 3.4 kernels or it will not boot as there are rom-level dependencies.
-AOKP's awesome new navbar settings
-NFC polling mode for when you want to keep your screen off and scan tags
-MMS and call "breathe" feature. Makes the notification icon fade in and out.
-Mute dings when changing volume
-Disable/enable CRT effect on screen on/off.
-3rd party keyboard bug fixed
-deodexed again
-stability and speed enhancements
-a million other little things as well - we basically don't even sleep anymore.

[4.2] I'm coming from a 10.1.A.1.253 rom, but my NFC doesn't work..
- Install the 10.1.A.1.253 fw FTF file again, wipe everything, exclude nothing from the flash
- Let the phone boot and update NFC firmware.
- Follow the initial wizard and reboot
- NFC will be working now
- Reflash Carbon rom
Looks very promising! Hope to test this soon :good:
OMG it looks clean!!! cant wait to try
but i guess the first release is not usable as a daily driver, right? becoz home button and pie control don't work yet

I don't know the CM bugs there is phablet, tablet and phone mode, but it doesn't work 100% yet, phablet works best I think.
Anyway, there is no bug like delay when turning on screen like in CM

Yes, sure, is a very pleasure can help you, this are the most important bugs that i found in 15 minute of test:
1) For some people there is no BB, it says "Baseband unknown".
Workaround -> Change Mobile Network to GSM/WCDMA and reboot
2) There is a little delay when you wake up the device after a long time it is in deepsleep
3) During call, put the call on speaker and the audio is on internal speaker is gone untill reboot.
anyway good work Grab, really :good:
Can confirm that the Recovery from this ROM works with CM10.1, I did miss TWRP, so thanks for that, and at last the recovery actually reboots the system unlike the recovery from CM.
Thanks so much for this, looking forward to test out your ROM also.:good:

A question Herr Walter:
Any chance that the kernel would work on other ROM, such as AOKP?
And, if yes, can this be made into a flashable zip?
Thank you for your input.
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk
Good to see this finally coming to the V. And no the kernel is not separable from the ROM so the kernel cannot be flashed onto another KK ROM.
As for reboots, there should be none - as with the T the new kernel should fix all instability issues.

It's not as simple as a quick kernel and props flash - the system depends on the kernel that is being compiled alongside - the entire ROM needs to be compiled along with the kernel or you'll get breakage.
this sounds promising...
is there anymore work planned on this rom? i would love to have omnirom...or ANY real custom ROM
I switched to kernel source from sony. Maybe i can compile new rom later. Camera is fixed some firmeware file were missing. Still problems with Wlan and GPS
I am back to omni kernel.
Wifi works now. http://d-h.st/XVF
Use wifi firmware from kernel / mint (xperia t)
check /system/etc/firmware/wlan and replace files with files from Xperia T omni.
Edit:
Recovery fixed: use this in bootrec-device
export BOOTREC_EVENT_NODE="/dev/input/event7 c 13 72"
export BOOTREC_EVENT="/dev/input/event7"
Next Camera and GPS.
both camera fixed.
next step fix gps.
edit:
gps works partial now. It did not work if you have enabled wifi

BSOD's are now as much as you should have on a stock rom, cause it is the same kernel. So rarely Should be really stable like I have on my Xperia T!
I have to update and test my source now. If everthing works well i will build a new test rom. Files from 9.2.A.1.210 official
I m back to omnirom kernel.
Kernel works well.

[ROM] Unofficial Cyanogenmod 12.1 with CAF Kernel 3.4.0 [2015-09-09]

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war,
* or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research
* if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
This ROM is an unofficial build on CyanogenMod 12.1. Originaly (back in November 2014), the project was only about the kernel but I thought that a full ROM might a better.
So, why would you install this ROM ?
The main reason would be to upgrade significantly the kernel :
- get rid of the old LNX.LA.3.5.1 kernel base (from February 2014) and switch to a brand new LA.BF lollipop base
- to get a smoother experience of CyanogenMod
- to enjoy some CAF taste in all of his glory
- if you are an enthusiast
This ROM uses custom HALs so I'm not responsable of incompatibility with eventual custom kernels and I won't "Add support"
ROM Features :
- Based off latest generic CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly source
- OTA updates via built-in CMUpdater (LZMA Compressed)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 display HAL (improved display performance)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 media HAL (improved video performance)
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 audio HAL (improved audio performance)
- Latest Motorola LPB23.13-37 5.1 Vendor Files
- Latest kernel.org f2fs binaries
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 Media Codecs / Audio Policy / Bluetooth configs
- LZMA Compressed recovery images
- QCOM Bionic Optimizations
Kernel Features :
- Based off latest CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 kernel source from Qualcomm
- As clean as possible, it matches CAF
- Vanilla CAF LA.BF.1.1.1.c5 Wi-Fi Prima driver (better wifi performance)
- Uses ZEN i/O Scheluder by default
- First Lollipop Overclock
- Underclocking
- Smartmax Governor
- My own akm8963 driver re-work for LPM/HBM mode
- The best is in comming
But, why is it in alpha ?:
It's in alpha state because not many people tested it and maybe there are some unknown bugs.
Speaking of bugs here they are :
Code:
[B]Known bugs[/B]
- 5 sec blackscreen at boot (doesn't affect bootime) [B][COLOR="red"][/COLOR]the first boot blackscreen is even longer so just wait and it will boot, builds or tested do not worry[/B]
- Offline charge is broken (same reason as blacksreen)
I released even if those bugs because they doesn't break the ROM experience itself (and because I wait for realeasing this ROM since ages)
They will, of course, fixed as soon as possible.

How to install ?
If you are coming from an official CM12.1 Nightlies you should dirty flash (flash my ZIP on top of your existing rom without too much issues). If you encounter any issues (report and) do the method detailled bellow.
1) Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
2) Reboot in Bootloader Mode
3) Go to "Recovery" (Vol -) and confirm (Vol +)
4) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Wipe Dalvik cache
6) Install the ROM zip

It's fully stable, you just don't see 5 sec from the bootanimation.
I will install it and try it but I need to charge my Moto G Good job !!!
Damn, bootanimation doesnt show at all, i reflashed three times thinking something was wrong, and i lost patience thinking my phone turned off after google logo, but it booted. It works great btw, stable and all, and overall fast. Nice work. Now just remove the stupid cm theme engine and implement layers, and you have most custom unoffical cyanogenmod rom.

Yeah, the bootanimation bug is annoying, but you'll see that you get just a 5 sec blackscreen on reboots. It was just the first boot xD
Hmmm ... I don't think I will remove the CM Theme Engine : as I said, this project wasn't a ROM originally (I made a ROM to avoid HAL issues actually) I just wanted to make big background optimizations. So on the apparence/look part, I won't differ from CM.
My opinion (is still black screen after flashing). Just make optimizations and don't change the features or other things. To be just an optimized CM 12.1 ROM.

Too bad, well i guess i'll stay with the stock theme then, because i seek for stability, and that's pretty rare nowadays.

And we can expect updates on this project? I'm not asking for ETA, i just want to be shure this is not a one time thing
omg, thanks for this @h2o64.. gonna try it out...

This 5 sec black screen will stay until I fixed SOL in MDSS.

All my working projects (AOSParadox, TWRP, or CM now) are getting continuous work and updates. I just don't like to post "empty" updates with an un-interessting changelog.
I just made the first stage of this project xD So much is about to come
Thanks for supporting

Hi,
I installed all my apps about 30 apps and every app work without problems fc or other problems except one: Zonga - it's a music streaming app developed by Vodafone Romania and in other ROMs it's working but here it doesn't have sound and If I press play doesn't play from first I need to skip the track and the next one plays without music.
I will attach soon a logcat.

- Steps for flashing kernel:
I assume that you are already on a rooted device with TWRP 3.0.x.x installed,if not, useful posts on how to root and install twrp can be found on Xda,just do a search.
1 - enter recovery mode via twrp
2 - Wipe cache and Dalvick/ART cache ( important step or junk files will lead to internal conflicts like freeze lags or random reboots)
3 - Flash kernel and reboot,(it will bootloop once, just don't touch it and don't panic)
4 - After complete reboot, don't use the phone and let the kernel settle for 5 minutes for better hardware and firmware integration,if u use it while rebuilting cache and integrating, you may experience lags or freeze,so let it install comfortably before starting usage.
5 - after step 4 , you can use the kernel. A second reboot is advicable but not obligatory,it's up to you.
6- Enjoy Xtreme Kernel !

Yes man more this rom no is much fast, I did not like her.. batery life is bad..
l'prefer note 7 port by ambasadii.
Working great for g928k variant. Very fast Thank you
Why are there two threads? It's one kernel only for UX roms and the other one not? I'm confused...
What is the better note 7 port working with this kernel?? I need the best in battery life
