By this kernel we can increase Mic gain in 4.4 Rom so volume in video recording can be increased and overclocking on stock Rom is a pain in a** because of many thermal protections but in cm Rom there are less so we can bring out the real power of this chipset with this kernel an on cm roms the battery life is way better than stock Rom and with this kernel we can undervolt which will increase the battery life and in future we may not get official 4.4 so after this long speech you all will know why this kernel is needed for our device

Yes, It work only with CM and AOKP roms. DoomLorD's kernel work with stock, but roms which based on CM11 and AOKP are interesting.

it will be nice to have such a kernel on a stock rom i don`t use cm yet cuz in recording the volume is too low ... and the photos i take don`t see on full screen .. tha`t very annoying for me .. anyway if i move again on CM I would definitely such a kernel !

Hehe, @kostazol nice one
I already told you I will try to make a port of MEOW for this device.
Although, I don't want you to raise donations before I start working on it.
Donating is ALWAYS optional and only a sign of appreciation about the work that was done.
Also, this does not increase my motivation in any way. It's more of a time issue.
I will try to release a test build in the coming week. Please stay tuned and have some patience.
Thanks

why?????
---------- Post added at 02:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:06 PM ----------
btw, can he backport f2fs, fix the sim and breathing light as well?

Ok, I made a first attempt to port it.
Please test:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0sY8nIwzcLrMk5scWpZRXlNQUU/edit?usp=sharing
Requirements:
Ofcourse, unlocked bootloader
A CM11/AOSP 4.4 based KITKAT ROM (NOT FOR STOCK ROMS)
Install:
Flash the .zip from your recovery
Reboot
Notes:
This is the first version, altough it should work fine, don't expect it to work very stable.
This will replace your recovery with the newest TWRP
Please report the first findings here. When it's graduated I will make a seperate thread for it in the development section.

Does this kernel have doubleTap2Wake and Sweep2Wake ?
Big thanks for you. It works on cm11(fxp), beanstalk and cyanfox.
After 5 attempts beanstalk work.
Bugs:
kernel has very low speed before loading bacause of it i can't use recovery. Recovery loading 5 minutes and after it i have freezes in recovery.
TWRP has resoltion 1920x1080, but display of ZR has resolution 1280x720 because of it we can use this TWRP(many buttons located outside the screen)
loading on cm11 and beanstalk more than 2 minutes. ( it is normal?). It start with freezes(on animation logo) after freezes leave me.
It work with cyanfox but it start more than cm11 and beanstalk.(it takes 10 minutes in the fist boot, after 1-2 minutes)
CPU frequency does not increase more than 1134mhz in interactive

CPU frequency does not increase more than 1134mhz even if I put min and max as 1728mhz and the recovery is working I use a theme for twrp because it is not resized but it is too slow it hangs a lot but flashing is fine and booting time is too much and fauxsound is working great and no option for changing GPU governor

He can't test it because he have xperia Z.
Please try it:
You need wipe cache after install, also unplug usb, and wait 10-15 minutes(the fist loading). I don't know why but while it boot it has freezes and it doesn't have freezes after loading. Other loading needs about 2-4 minutes

I also have this problem, and i think starting frequency is low, because of it we have freezes during loading.

Aight, as I expected it has some problems, but at least it boots and basic features work. Will do my best to solve some of the problems in the coming week. Please keep reporting the problems here. The next version will be released in a new thread in the development section. When it's the time, I'll announce that here as well.

So some little chit chat for why Play kernel exist.
For those not around much Prime was started while i didnt have the phone as an experiment.
That made my work very difficult and i couldn’t experiment much because if ended up no booting had no way to fix easily.
Then after my phone arrived and i could finally see the fruits we had a little vote as to where kernel was headed and it was decided towards battery life but
alas heat lag was there and was introduced when i didn’t had the phone and now i had to go back and redo and clean up and redo and search and experiment and try to fix.
As you see on Optimus Prime thread there are a lot of releases day in day out
Finally i nail it and heat lag was gone but trying to fix heat lag battery life gone to worst not by much but you could see it.
Since i implemented a lot of different platforms code i didnt want to start over the tedious search and destroy thing.
Surely battery can get better but phone wake up could get worst as you can see it reported a lot in Optimus Prime kernel thread. Now if i had the phone i could easily catch up the code that caused that behaviour from the start so same story as heat lag was infront of me again.
Yeah OP is awesome kernel by all means, has latest ouya code+htc deeply inside and it should perform awesome so why go back to new troubles.
Then i decide to pull in even more requested features and call it a day.
Am not answering clearly why Play exist am i?
Play is a way for me to fool around a little bit as a side project but not on a playground but in a game that winner takes all!

The Logo looks awesome and your optimus prime kernel is awesome too (Im on cm10.2 with a repack by myself ) But what exactly is the difference to prime? Im a developing newbie so github wont help me Sorry for that
I repacked it for cm10.2 and i will upload it for you guys
With repacked optimus prime 2.7 i had smooth homescreen animations, but on iodak v8 it was many ticks smoother, like 60 fps. On this kernel it feels smooth like iodak...will report more information this night Played asphalt 8 on online mode. No zero lag and better like every kernel i tested. So it meets its name But i think the temp throttle is back After gaming some minutes it started to lag like hell :/
Am building my(tm) device tree so i will start work only for cm10.2 so get ready to do the opposite and btw do you get same lags on cm vanilla?

CPU overclock upto 1809Mhz!
smooth scaling along CPU frequency table
192MHz lower cpu frequency bin
kernel level Sound Contro(v2.1)
added intelli_plug (v1.6) kernel level multi-core controller (replacement for mpdecision)
with ECO-Mode!eco-mode disables one cores(On TX) and work with one core! hence giving better battery life when performance is not required!
I include the scripts to Contor eco mode and intelli_plug, After you flash my kernel, you can see the folder named "Visk_ECO_Ctrl" in the root dir (/ ),and there are 4 .sh scripts can be use to contor this mode.
Cortex-A15 optimizations for compiling

Hi, Xperia-Lover,
Now is 36 hours from when I've installed your Kernel under Timin8R rooted deodexed ROM. Everything works OK. No SOD, no blockage etc.
I have tested with a lot of tests (vellamo, antutu, quadrant, gpu benchmark, smartbench, starling benchmark, etc). The results are a little better under 1512 MHz than the stock B.1.67 kernel at the same frequence. For example I obtained 6069 under Quadrant Professional 2.1.1 (compared with 5850 under stock B.1.67 Kernel), also I obtained 16699 with Antutu 4.0.1 (compared with 16200 under stock kernel). So, results are good, (maybe the device couldn't more).
But, impressive is the stability at 1,8 GHz, for hours. Conclusion: your kernel is stable, very useful, good for dayly work. :good:
Congratulations and many thanks for your work!
I'm testing. Thank for your work.
Thank you very much bro!!! I will add more feature for my kernel in coming, And your test work are great!

The most important for Xperia-Lover's kernel is not the increased (a little) of performance, but rooting, the last TWRP and CWM (with all their facilities) and of course, the stability, even at overclocking. And, at this moment, it is the only custom kernel for Xperia TX, 9.1.B.1.67 FW.

Because i think your problem like my problem. When i rooted phone by doomlord tool kit and intervention in the system, it automatically reboot. Ex: edit build.prop, delete app system, play game a long time. I think my problem is tool root so I've found other tool root and it's working perfect.
You can try it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334552.
I don't know why, maybe you should ask the developers ^___^.

It depends if you already have CWM or TWRP recovery installed. If you have, you shouldn't need to flash via fastboot.

If it's slow after first boot, just give it some time.. It will be faster after some use.
If not, reboot it twice.

You can download this file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t2pds6e00vfu534/aokp_cwm_touch.zip
and flash it in recovery. I pull the kernel and wifi driver files from AOKP rom and compiled this zip for my use in case of anything goes wrong in flashing stuff like kernel.
If you're using other rom (not aokp), you can open up my zip and pull the respective files from the rom.zip you are using and replace those files in my zip.
Or if you dont understand me, you can simply flash back your rom and your phone will be able to boot again.

Thanks for the reply. I flashed the boot.img from the ROM's zip and then got into recovery and with a nandroid restore, so its good right now. However, I am very eager to try this kernel (once it gets fixed), mainly because of the overclocking part.

Manjuu Kernel v2 for NightOwl CM 12.1 / LineageOS 13

This kernel is made based on @bauner's CM 12.1 NightOwl ROM, LineageOS 13 with a few changes,. Originally based on my preference in what features I want added, I thought the rest of the Note 1 users might benefit from a bit more variety on his projects.
Just flash the kernel and you're done, make sure you're on the latest ROMs by bauner. As always, I'm not responsible if you brick your device due to some freak accident.
What's new:
V3
Merged kernel patches from bauner's commits
Redo some optimisation flags
V2
Did some optimisations
Tweak Interactive codes
Fix possible memory leaks
Please refer to my commits for more detailed info
V1.5
Set Westwood as TCP default
V1
Set Interactive as the default governor
Undervolt by 50mV
13-step CPU frequency
Download links:
CM 12.1
LineageOS 13
I did not test LineageOS 13, so please have a copy of the original NightOwl kernel on standby before flashing.

Some kernel tweaks you might like:

The target loads do not need to make a new line, one spacing for each of them is the way it is written.
For example, write it as: 95 200000:60 300000:33 and so on.

Hi AutumQueen92,
I would like to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind...
- Have you tried a Forest-LP kernel ?
- If „Yes“, what is the difference between those two... ?
- Is your kernel overclocked ?
- What is your experience between those three kernels when you compare them (Bauner's, Forest-LP and your own) ?
- Don't be too polite and then not to write about your kernel too... [emoji2]
Thanks in advance.
Cheers ! [emoji481] [emoji481]

1. Yeah I've tried it.
2. If you mean this kernel and his, we both used different toolchains (compilers). I'm not sure what UberTC does but the one I used is made to optimise the Note's CPU itself so it works better. But then Forest's kernel has some kind of overclocked display panel, I'm not sure what that is. It's been a long time since I used his kernel so mine is more updated since it's based on Bauner's.
3. Nope, I don't want overclock. Apps these days are made for quad-core CPUs, so overclock will do nothing except hurt your hardware.
4. I haven't been using Forest's kernel very long, I preferred War kernel or Bauner's stock kernel better. By combining those two to make mine, I feel that it's faster now although I want to do a longer usage without rebooting. Lately I've been rebooting a lot to stabilise the kernel and make some fixes, but the first usage is already showing good results. I'm trying to implement my custom tweaks, if I can't embed it into the kernel I'll post a small section for it in next month's update. Right now battery usage is about the same but better performance.
5. ??? You mean I should post a more detailed explanation about the kernel?

That's very hard to believe because performance governor just clocks your CPU at max frequency the entire time. Also very impossible, I don't want OC on the Note 1. If you want it so badly you can try building your own kernel and adding it.

The performance governor is not a good idea.
As @AutumQueen92 said it will run the cpu at the highest clock all the time.
After a very short time it will reach the thermal throttling temperature and then it will constantly switch between 800 and 1400Mhz
You can see it with this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yanyan.cputemp
Using V1 right now and it is very stable, should I flash the V2? Also one more thing is it possible to tweak the minimum brightness value to 1 without changing the source value and rebuild the whole kernel afterward? Thanks!
