I know what exynos infinity is.
I was happy for snapdragon so that LTE is confirmed and we can have more love from the developers...
You know s4 i9500 didnt have lot of love from devs...
Yet a 64 bit octacore exynos infinity would have been ground breaking

Snapdragon is only good if you're looking for AOSP, all major custom ROMs are there for the Exynos S4 like Omega and Wanam. So what is the Exynos Infinity?

Bro, I know that's why I said the developer love! yet see there is no 4g on i9500 and sm-n900 the s4 and note 3 so in the end if you own a superspeedy device you would require a super speedy internet! so for the sake of 4g I am praising the snapdragon! nevertheless you post your opinion! Explain us about exynos infinity"processor"

I read somewhere that they ate thinking of exynos version.
Sent from Note 3 (The beauty & beast)

Exynos infinity was a god damn tagline, not a processor. Stop reading BS sites.

No it didnt ditch exynos 2.1ghz.. bencchmark topper will come

Don't know if it's Exynos Infinity, but Samsung never claimed that Infinity would be coming to the S5. Infinity probably doesn't even have the yields yet to be used.

Well that was fast. Samsung already updated and removed the octo core version.

Exynos "infinity" is not the name of a processor(or lineup) again,it may be called something else (GH7 was something leaks were pointing out at,but nothing definite as such)

So then Infinity was just the name of the event for Exynos?
Not like it matters either way, Exynos yields recently weren't high enough to take to other parts of the world.

Exynos 5422 (2.1ghz A15s ,A7s at 1.5ghz?)
What about GPU? 628 or 678 they will need to improve their GPU performance to match the performance of adreno 330 in snapdragon variant (so a higher clocked 628 or 678)

A15 cores running at 2.1GHz yeah it will either melt ur device or it will suck the battery in very fast time , and probably its stuck with the ****ing clusters migration with NO GTS :|
so probably the Snap 801 will be better
and the funny thing Samsung didn't mention anything about GS5 with Exynos ( seems they are ashamed with their processor )

LG Optimus 4X HD

This phone has the potential to be a beast. This has nothing to with the Evo 3D but you might as well read up a bit while you guys wait for ICS.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/22/lg-optimus-4x-hd-unveiled-quad-core-tegra-3-ice-cream-sandwich/
Damn, this phone looks like it will raise the bar for all the other phones, just like the Evo 4G did.
4.7 inch, HD (could be higher def), quad core - the perfect phone for mobile gaming
Pretty much. I think it will need a bigger battery. 2000+ or whatever won't cut it.
That phone does indeed look like a beast, and I look forward to MWC 2012, where I hope that HTC can deliver an equally beastly phone
Funny thing is, with all the negativity surrounding its predecessor, the Optimus 2X, previous owners are highly skeptical lol. They hate LG with a passion.

Pretty sure Qualcomm's S4 chips r A15 based, also being built with 28nm processing...that's where the difference is being seen. Smaller chips much more efficient in the end.
What's funny is Samsung is going to be showing off their new chips at MWC and they only went down to 32nm with A9 cores for the quad chip shown on engadget...
Thought it was a tad odd though Samsung only making it to 32nm while everyone else is pushing for 28nm and lower. Hell Intel stated they are shooting for 14nm at CES if i remember right! They will be one to keep an eye on in the long run. Imho

yeah your right to an extent but its NOT "between" them its inline with A15 if not better...the write up at anandtech.com about the new S4's benchmarking is really well done. As are their other write ups concerning the chip.
...Qualcomm, unlike most ARM chip makers, does not license the architecture for its application processors directly from ARM Holdings. Instead, it designs its own cores in-house and simply licenses the ARM instruction set. At the most basic level, Qualcomm’s Krait core is more advanced than Cortex-A9, the current standard from ARM, and it may even best the next-generation Cortex-A15 core....

Samsung Galaxy S5 Snapdragon vs. Exynos Antutu X test with video

Here you go, I made a quick video for Antutu X Benchmark between both devices ( Snap and Exynos )
Lets guess which device ( which CPU ) on left and right while watching this clip and then you have your answer.
Video was captured with an iphone 5 ( YEAH I know, Samsung is gonna be p*ssed LOL ).
Enjoy!
That answers my question somewhat, so the 5422 has a slight edge on the first benchmark, yet lost the second ,making it 1 to 1, but the s801 finished the test first on both testes.

Interesting... in Barcelona Samsung announced that the 5422 will support Heterogeneous Multi Processing allowing all 8 cores to run if necessary. The Note 3 Neo's 5260 can run all 6, so the S5 5422 may need an update, or benchmark tools need it, what do you think, @AndreiLux?

The point of HMP is load balancing between the cores. It still has advantages even in low threaded apps. The cores are powered off when not doing anything.

It depends on nothing specifically. If load is sufficiently high and threaded it'll use all 8.
I think Antutu is finishing the tests slower than the Snapdragon because it's dispatching twice the threads and doing twice the work, it would score higher if it actually didn't do that.
And no I'm not getting it, the S5 will be outdated in a few months.

Depends on the thermal throttling settings between the two, Samsung changed the limits several times on both versions of the S4 so expect the same to happen here.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your time and feedbacks welcome

Was waiting for a review from you man! :good:
Awesome review!
But I have to disagree with what you said about the Exynos not having any major changes. Most of the changes are under the hood as @AndreiLux said and it is still as powerful(if not, more powerful) than the Snapdragon 801 as seen from benchmarks. Only disappointing thing about the Exynos chipset is the lack of LTE.
And also, Samsung removed all the benchmark boosting code in the Kitkat update. So, the benchmark results will not be "fake".
Thanks buddy I'm gonna add it to the review thread!!!

I'm not a registered youtube user but I'll give you a thanks here, because the amount of work and dedication some of you are putting into your yt videos is simply amazing.
Overall a great video some things I wanted to add (tried the phone yesterday):
1. TouchWiz blazing fast ? Sadly that wasn't my experience for sure it's far from slow but to me it seemed like the microlags increased quite a bit
2. Exynos ..well personally I'd take 8 over 4 cores sadly not available in Austria
3. Performance: as a non handygamer you just have proven my deepest fears, 2 gig of RAM simply aren't enough for flawless multitasking. The Z 2 should handle that much better although maybe even 3 gigs aren't enough.
4. fully agree on the bloat thing, that's why root as always is a must for me.
5. thanks for the great review

I would say the I9305, mainly because of the screen and the RAM, i think the S4 mini is too small but that depends on what you like, for specs you can look here:

Specs is what I'm concerned about. Other people say even though the S4 Mini is a Dual-core device, it still outperform the S3 LTE in benchmarks in Antutu.
Also, the screen res is a plus too. qHD vs HD resolution.

Hm that´s weird. Well if you look at the link you see there are very few (good) points for the S4 mini, so when talking specs you should probably choose the S34G. My sister has the S4 mini and it´s a lot slower, and the screen is (in my opinion) not better when using it.
Mini is sheet. Why? Mini is mini. S3 will be always S3. Buy S III but i9300 for better ROMs and developers

S III International has for example S5 ROMs(Lite and full), S4/N3 ROMs, official support from Cyanogen Mod(I had HTC One S C2 before and I know how it is when you have less popular variant of phone). Might S III LTE has LTE and 2x more RAM but I've chosen International edition and I'm happy with that

I own a HTC One S C2 too! Well, it got hard bricked for some reason (didn't detect my device as QDL).
Anyways, if everything's fine, i might go for the SIII LTE
Via the Internet
I liked Sense 6 Prism on it
S3 LTE all the way. Just the bigger screen is enough reason to pick it.
LTE all the way here too, especially as there are so many excellent roms and tweaks already.

But you are damned to run Touchwiz. We snapdragon guys are on CM12 and it's getting pretty damn stable already Needless to say it blows Touchwiz totally out of the water in terms of performance, fluidness and overal responsiveness. Ah and I noted 20%-30% faster NAND throughput times, not sure if that's due to Lollipop (ah yeah, forgot you guys are still waiting for Samsung to release lollipop, haha)
BTW, I didnt optimize anything at all, just benchmarked out of the box Touchwiz, as shipped. With tweaking I'm sure it's possible to squeeze out a bit more. I was just merely saying that the benchmark the OP referred to is completely wrong.
Ey, mine is bigger !!
But mine is thicker !!
By the end of the day few more or less frames per second won't make much difference but if you want enjoy Gear VR than only Snapdragon version is supported so far.

One thing to consider is that this article was released june 2014. This is way before it was released. In the article it state the snapdragon has a quad 2.5ghz processor but was reased with a 2.7ghz. If you want to know who's is bigger and who's is thicker you need to test them now and both plane stock roms out of the box.

It works Yeah I've read that a lot here "but I will lose the s-pen when flashing custom ROM". No you will not !! Not sure why people think that, maybe they think that because it's a samsung feature it's impossible to support on a non-samsung system ? Since Samsung is using the linux kernel, they are bound by law to release all drivers. So they did, including the s-pen, so it's supported out of the box on any custom ROM !
All you need to do is download the 'markers' app from the store and after you've installed it, you have an s-pen sketch board, and after that it just works on everything else too (on the CM12 interface etc) , including air support (no need to touch the display).
The only detail that I don't like too much is the pointer itself. On stock it's a small dot, via markers it's like a mouse pointer. However I read yesterday that people are working to change the pointer, it's possible via an overlay. But then again, it's not bothering me much anyway.
