After it finished
Install the given patch so to make wifi, bluetooth and camera work. Why the files are Old and Patch given?
Because I don't that much data to download this ported rom and patch it and then upload ,so in order to save data I gave the original link of Rom and the patch to make files work in order.
The Rom was uploaded quite long back,I was searching for some MT6572 based Roms so I found it and posted.
The Developers names are given in Credits section
The patch was also uploaded long back as someone asked me to make. Original Posting:-Click here to open
I didn't posted before because the developer isn't on Xda and I thought posting links to blogs etc. isn't allowed on Xda.
But,I hope everything is clarified.

Actually,I have downloaded the device tree for MT6572 to check if I can compile 4.4 but the device tree has to be modified a lot because it's the device tree of the clone device.I don't have that much knowledge to fully edit and make it compatible.
But,I am sure I can give a rom with kitkat features and look.
Now,the roms will come back to back.

if you don't mind my asking/saying:- why a new thread 14th June 2014, 03:57 PM for (old) rom 12th March 2014 05:58:11 and patch 12th March 2014 17:38:01?
- why haven't you tagged the 'developer of Rom' or given a link to the original Micromax A63 rom thread? it's only fair that you do so.
- please state the info about the patch in the op. also, that the rom and the patch have to be installed to get the device 'perfectly working as tested by you'.would be nice if you clarify. thanks. :good:

Yes,If NTFS is supported in kernel ,then it's possible but for that we need source code!

------- usb otg does not work; option greyed out.
(nothing happens on plugging in disk.)
------- rom seems good at first look. keep it up, dev(s).
------- [email protected] apk runs at start; throws up chinese notification.
(although annoying, can't remove; dialer won't work.)
------- xposed v2.6.1 and gravitybox v3.1.8 run fine; no errors in log.
------- wifi, bluetooth and camera work ok.
edit:
------- fm radio and gps work fine. gps can't be turned off easily. for me, on-off works only after a reboot.
------- turned off all options in settings of "[email protected]". but, those pesky chinese notifications return after a reboot.

the 'boot logo/animation' shows 'Canvas' while starting up and screen goes blank till we get 'the reassuring vibration'.
it's a little disconcerting, don't you agree? @nightwalker, could you make a flashable zip for:1. original xolo boot logo/animation without audio
2. build.prop changes to show 'Xolo A500S', where possibleany way to remove those pesky chinese notifications? also, check your pm. thanks.

Introduction!
Hello everyone, this is my first rom and all i can say now is that i want to make a rom based on Beautiful Design. We have a lot of roms but it's always the same thing, stock or AOSP and this is not good. We have MIUI but it's not 4.2.2 and is very buged and have only english or chinese language. We have a theme engine on AOPS but it's just for system, not app, so i decided to make my own rom and it's called...Luna, a rom based on design, i'm actually theming all system and apps inside to my perspective of clean design, so i hope people enjoy. Expect Week builds but don't ask about when i will release cuz i'm not a big developer, i'm here to learn, i'm a pro designer not an developer as i said. I want to make a new ROM CATEGORY, based on design, based on your opinion, BE SOCIAL!

Thanks pal, i'm actually theming all apks, i know it's not much now but i think i included nice features for the first release XD, so i'm progressing, so expect more things coming in the end of july 2.
installed this and so far so good, No problems. No lags which is something I have found to happen on some CM based roms. Battery seems quite good so far but will give it a couple of charge cycles before I confirm how good it is
only query I have is do you know on the camera if there is a way to save your pictures to the external sd rather than internal as I cannot find that setting.
very nice ! I'll try it right now ! but the link is off ?!

As you know Google Edition phones don't have option to save on external SD card, so i'm waiting until the user TheUnkn0wn that ported AOPS camera to SIII to release new 4.3 update and i will include that and replace the one leaked from S4.

Why do you have to use superwipe, isn't just "clean to install a new ROM" in Philz recovery enough like in everyone else's ROMs?
And are the Gapps posted here themed or just like the others, because I'd rather flash my own light gapps but I don't want to loose anything that you've done

As i said, i begin theming but it's not released, this is like others from Cyanogemod and about Super-Wipe script, if you are an advance user you can wipe in your way, i just trying to help people newbie and preventing problems that people with super-wipe don't have. You know, Wipe everything and you will not get error!

Oka good, just flashed. So far so good, no lagging and you don't have that bug that makes settings crash when uninstalling apps like some other CM based roms! Would you want to consider compiling this ROM with Linaro for extra performance boost? :fingers-crossed:

I'm not a pro developer XD, BUT i'm here to learn, i will read about linaro and i will see what it is but i'm sure that i won't add undervolt or overclock, you can do this taping 7 times on build number, developer menu appears as well as overclock and performance menu, but i want to say that my rom is for newbie people, that drive crazy when the rom have a lot of options and settings and they don't know what to do. I want to make things simple and beautiful
As much as i know about Linaro, it is ARM optimization? I will learn more about and see what i can do

Okay, so i'm saving offline Linaro instructions cuz i will have to go out home, and i will learn about and if possible (and i want to do it) you will see it. Yeah, all AOSP and CM10.1 based is the same thing, i'm theming Apollo and Dialer for now, it's a hard progress but i can expect all major apps themed at least before july end. I'm theming with own artwork with photoshop and my Wacom Bamboo tablet designer XD :highfive:

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I have root access after installing OmniROM?
A: OmniROM does not have an official, prebuilt root method yet, so you'll just need to flash SuperSU in recovery and you'll have 100% working root access. SuperSU can be found here: SuperSU
Q: Where is <insert feature here>, like CM/AOKP/PA/etc have??
A: Omni is still very early in development, but moving at an incredibly fast rate. New feature, bug fixes, and device support are added just about daily. Check it out here: OmniROM Gerrit Review for the latest and greatest
Q: How do I start/stop screen recording?
A: Volume UP + Power will start screen recording. Simply drag the notification bar down and click the button to stop.
MAY NOT FULLY WORK YET.
Q: HALP something doesn't work!!
A: Please post a logcat. im still not a fully valid fortune teller.

yeah, xplod derped the repos (my fault because my repo was named lge-kernel-sniper haha) and renamed it afterwards, was too sleepy to change it yesterday
the difference is, this one is totally cleaned up, all my derps and unneeded changes are removed and all is reworked.
also no OC's or other highly experimental stuff.
though i think my velox ones are still compatible for OmniROM

Great work! Been waiting for MIUI on Xperia V for several months now.
Just a question. If I provided you an optimized and thus really fast CM11 build, would it be possible to rebase MIUI on this? The result would be awesome for sure!

I wanna believe we`re gonna have stable MIUI.
I`ve been jealous of my gf`s mi3 running v6, and now I can do that exactly on my V
Btw, Neo youre gonna give your Neo-Kernel with Intelimm and all? It would definately make the build far more stable.
I guess, Miui should be cleaned of all chinese stuff. I flashed some MIUI ROMS on mi3
and here`s what russian guys decided to delete:
BaiduNetworkLocation.apk
GameCenter.apk
GameCenterSDKService.apk
MzInput2.apk
Userbook.apk
UserbookProvider.apk
VoiceAssist.apk
Mipay.apk
Galaxy4.apk
O2O.apk
HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk
GooglePinyin.apk
PhaseBeam.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapers.apk
NoiseField.apk
MiGameCenterSDKService.apk

I'm afraid I cannot use my CM12 NeoKernel source for CM11, so I'd have to merge all features and this is too time-consuming (for now ).
However, I'm quite tempted to switch to MIUI6 myself - and if I do, I'll create a new, stable NeoKernel for this ROM and CM11 in general. :good:
By the way, this is the CM11 base for the new version.
As my phone is fullly formatted in F2FS, including sdcard and internal storage, I've had a bootloop when flashing this.
Would anyone mind to test if it boots?
Here's the link:
EDIT: Link removed, was not booting.
Thanks in advance ^^

No need to test, as I'm quite sure that another issue is the reason for the bootloop.
Will need some more work.
If you want to get started with kernel development, it would be best to have a look at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2152819

[ROM][WIP] osprey AOSP 6.0.x

Hello all,
I'm trying to port an AOSP ROM to the osprey, I already made some steps but would need some help from much better skilled devs.
Here is the code: https://github.com/motogaosp
The manifest: https://github.com/motogaosp/android_manifest
At the moment the ROM starts without big problems but there are some errors while booting up.
Feel free to participate, fork the code, send pull request or whatever you think can help the project, the goal would be to have a clean AOSP ROM for our osprey.
Working:
WiFi
Bluetooth
Back camera
Front Camera
Touchscreen
Sensors:
Accelerometer
Light
Magnetic field
Orientation
Proximity
NOT working:
Sound
RIL
Mobile data (LTE/3G)
GPS

Yes, from CM I use (for the moment) the build scripts part as it has all the stuff needed to include qcom repositories but this does not affect on Android itself.

I don't think it's particularly considered a place holder when the source code and manifest has been posted in search for assistance to get to a user capable produce. Works In Progress are allowed and maybe the current developer finds it moot to release a link publicly that's just going to flood his thread with endless.... ("WTF, Why this no work? U said unfished product, but it have problems, I no approve") ..... yeah stuff like that.
..and the most stupid question is:

Count me in, this is essentially what I've been working on with my build.
With the addition of all RRO commits but for now I'd like clean as well, I'll start forking this weekend. Thanks for this! Big help having other devs bring aosp for our device.

Honestly I don't think that Aroma installer would be so useful on AOSP ROM btw, feel free to work on it.
If someone wants to give me some more in depth instructions on initiating a build and where to find the proper Dev tree and vendor files for Marshmallow I'd be more than willing to help with development. Since Xenon HD is AOSP base we at least know it's doable. The only bugs with that ROM are that WiFi refuses to turn back on after a soft reboot, and the GPS is damn near inoperable.
I don't know much about building Android per se, but it's something I've been thinking about getting into. I may not be able to be much of a help but I'm certainly willing to learn.

Here's a push to start guys, take your time to read read read. Once you're done these just rifle ROM build questions at Google and check out other devices for an idea on how the structure works.
( Senior member but am still extremely new at building, no public builds just small CM stuff but these guides helped me put a lot together. )

I started from Motorola sources (https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/tree/marshmallow-6.0.0-release-osprey) and then picked some patches from https://github.com/moto8916/android_kernel_motorola_msm8916 to get the kernel booting.
Dude, you are making really quick progress. Yesterday all I saw working was the touchscreen & cameras, now we have WiFi and Bluetooth up and running? At this rate we may have a fully working AOSP ROM in no time, thanks to you!
