Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
Root Intructions
1. Download ROOT_E330S_I9506_v2.zip and Latest UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.xx.zip package fom Chainfire!!!!!
3. Transfer the file ROOT_E330S_I9506_v2.zip and UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.xx.zip to the extSDCARD(the SDCARD where you afterwards plugged in!!) or the SDCARD(from your device)
4. Turn off your Device
5. After device completely OFF - Enter Recovery
-->Entering Recovery:
- Hold Volume UP + Power Button
- When device turns ON, RELEASE POWER BUTTON when it says RECOVERY BOOTING (ignore the text "SECURE FAIL: Recovery" since you flashed CWM ....)
- Will Enter Recovery
6. Select install Zip
6.1 Select choose zip from external SDCARD(if you transferred it on SDCARD where you afterwards plugged in!!) or choose zip from SDCARD(from your device)
7. Select file ROOT_E330S_I9506_v2.zip
8. Move to YES - Install ROOT_E330S_I9506_v2.zip touch it or Push the Power button
9. Return to CWM main menu
10. Select install Zip
10.1 Select choose zip from external SDCARD(if you transferred it on SDCARD where you afterwards plugged in!!) or choose zip from SDCARD(from your device)
11. Select file UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.xx.zip
12. Move to YES - Install UPDATE-SuperSU-vX.xx.zip touch it or Push the Power button
13. When update procedure finished, REBOOT.
Now your device is rooted!

I've got a fail in ODIN My phone is on 4.3 pre rooted and with knox flag.
Are there any requirements like stock recovery or something like that?
firmware file broken.... tried downloading from sammobile and mega.nz, both broken

i rotted only with supersu.
What exactly do the i9506rootv2.zip?
Without these i had no problems.
Backup, restore, all ok.
antutu is the same. 36.000 around.
But now with 1 day of use i dont see much improvement
over 4.3

In 4.3 i could choose what i want to sync in google account / services. Now looks like it's not allowed anymore...meaning have to sync anything...which means more akku drain.
I tried to edit platform.xml to get wright access to sd card but i can't save...maybe because of the knox files aka security setttings?

I´ve tryied flashing the france 4.4.2 on my i9506 from spain and everytime it get stucks on Entering Recovery after the flashing is done. Any thoughts? I´ve tryied wipe data and i am using the stock recovery from 4.3

Yes. It is unlocked. After flashing when he needs to enter recovery to flash CSC there is where he gets stuck.
How to root this version (global) old recovery doesn't work for me :crying:

Hi all,
after an unwary flashing ROM on Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE with ODIN by my friend,
I don't know exactly how he did it, but now the Phone doesn't boot the OS blocking on the Boot Animation
and if I try to go in Recovery mode it doesn't go.
What I already tried:
Flashing a custom Samsung ROM with ODIN (nothing change)
Flashing a Recovery (nothing change)
Tried to go through Kies (Kies doesn't recognizes the device, blocking on "Connecting...")
The only way for do something is by Odin but how you can read up, the usual paths didn't work.
There is something else for solve this problem or it definitely bricked..??

What rom were you on? what custom rom did you try? what recovery did you try?
flash a original samsung ROM from their website and you should be able to enter recovery....enter in it and wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and you should be able to boot into OS

You can download it on www.sammobile.com or here at the forum .... And after flash the stock rom don't forget to perform a factory reset in the recovery

When you push the button Combo you see the Samsung screen with model number .. Don't lose the keys the phone reboot and shows once again the Samsung screen now let go and your phone Boot in recovery

Yessss you right! I come from HTC, where is different, ok correctly done FactoryReset and it BOOT!
But thre is another problem now
It's freeze after first selection of language, and I must to force power off.. it's normal..?
Haven't used Odin to go back to stock since I owned the galaxy s vibrant, haven't had a Samsung phone since. I need to go back to stock but the thread in "General" that's stickied doesn't have the directions or link to the file needed, unless I'm just blind and dumb. I seen a stock zip but not how to flash it using Odin. Would someone please link me or give a quick run down what to do? Thanks!

Please people read DeHawk's section about upgrading and downgrading bootloaders. It is not so simply...
if kk and lollipop roms have the same bootloader, the downgrade is simple with stock rom with odin.

i also had wifi error at first, flashed the rom 3 more times with odin and than wifi worked. :good:
the trick apparently is..
Just make sure you follow the sammobile instructions carefully, others have just loaded odin and flashed the rom and the modem etc. was left 'untouched'. So make sure you do the proper sequence e.g. download mode (its in the sammobile instructions).

Not too sure about that part! It is actualy recommended that one should turn-off phone and then boot into download-mode rather than "reboot" into download-mode. The experts might give their two-cents on the mutter.

Nice i will wait for the update if there is
There's no wifi bug. You just have to turn off the device (no restart!!!) before going to download mode. Otherwise modem will stay untouched - from previous firmware causing wifi problems.
