UPDATE JULY 2015 - Huawei P6, P7, P8, Mate 7, Honor - Full Collection of Themes - 6GB - Huawei Ascend P7

Huge collection of Huawei emui- 3.0+ Themes! More than 300 Themes!
Compatible with all Huawei running emotion 3.0+, Majority compatible also with emotion 2.3
P7, P8, Mate 7, Honor 6, Honor 3, G6 etc.
BEWARE: HUGE FILE - 6GB
This is a huge compilation of almost all the official Huawei themes available, plus many others ONLINE.
The collection was put together mainly for those who, for some reason or other, cannot use their Themes.apk to get online themes.
One of things I enjoy most about Huawei's phones, and their emotion OS is the Themes Engine. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have.
Please don't ask me to make a smaller file, I'm not going to. The collection has been growing for 2 years and is now too big to manually go in and separate each theme.
HIGHLY SUGGESTED THAT YOU USE A COMPUTER TO DOWNLOAD AND THEN TRANSFER THE FILE HWThemes, as is, to your external sdCard.
Notes:
1. You CAN download directly to your phone if you want - suggest you download to sdCard, and that you have a 32gb or above card.
2. You must make sure that you extract the file: HWThemes as is.
3. You must make sure that you know where your original HWThemes is: in most cases, unless you have changed your default location in SETTINGS to sdCard, it will be on your PHONE storage.
4. You must copy the contents of the HWThemes in THIS download, into your own HWThemes file.
5. If you use computer to do this, just check 'do not replace duplicate items' when it comes up and you WILL GET all the themes in this download, whilst STILL KEEPING the themes you already have.
PLEASE HIT THANKS IF YOU ENJOYED THE DOWNLOAD!!
HAVE FUN!

This is great, As i am new to this i need to know if we need only the .hwt files to be copied in the WHThemes folder. If there are any files which are not necessary then i dont want to copy that files, after unzip i found that there are few .apk files, a .bin file, .cache folder and few other files other than .hwt files. i have just tried to copy 3 .hwt files only it worked good for 1 everything worked well but for other 2 the weather widget did not theme, so please let me know if i need only .hwt files or other files as well. I am using Honor 6 H60-L04
And thanks for the great work.:good:

Your best bet is to copy the entire Hwfolder to where you have it on your phone, and then when the computer asks if you want to replace any files you already have, say no to all.
That way you keep everything you already have on the phone, and just get everything you don't have from the download.
Doing it file by file is tedious, and there are bits in the folder that you'll need that are not necessarily hwt.
Actually you can find them all on line but this folder allows you to do it all at once.

Hi kolembo,
I have Huawei Ascend P7 L-00, with EMUI 3.0 (ver. B608) ROM. I cannot download themes, because since EMUI 3.0 you can download them only via Huawei Cloud. But apparently the Cloud service can be used only in China (or other Far-East countries). If I try to connect to Huawei Cloud, the system always give me the message: "This service cannot be used in your country".
So, I need the themes made for P7 EMUI3.0 ROMs only. How can I choose which themes to download to my phone? Or would you be so kind and make a selection for me?
Thanks a lot.

@kolembo it is very nice collection but huawei is even here with beautiful vivid colors ..... check ; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=huawei.huaweiwallpapers.hd

For now i would be better to make two packages ... one for 2.3 and the other for 3.0... 2.3 themes at emui 3.0 are quite useless...

That's not the case at all.
Have YOU tried ANY of the themes?
I'll tell you, I have tried all the original P6 emui2.3 themes on my emui3.0 P7 and they all work, every one of them.
Huawei has made these themes certainly onward compatible from 1.5 on at least so I have used themes even from the honor three series and below.
The only people who will find scaling problems with few of these - and only a few - are those coming from the P6 and below, and not because of emui, but because of screen size compatibility.
I have tested each one of them myself, I wouldn't put them up if they weren't working.

Hi there! As you can see, I'm actually posting from a P7.
On the P7, ALL the themes work so you don't have to worry about anything. All tested. There are a few duplications because of Chinese/English differences but these are very few, and even then, the Chinese versions are translated and often better because they handle broader system changes, I.e. font, settings etc.
If you're on P7 ALL of these will work. That's part of what I'm trying to provide here...you can play with themes from the P6, the mate 7 and the honor series too.
It's fabulous. I change my themes everyday. It's Huawei.
Just download the zip, extract the file HWThemes and merge copy it to your sdCard. Restart your phone and go to your 'mine' section in your themes app.
Just make sure you are using at least an 8gb card, the download is 2.8gb.
There are more than 200 themes to play with, and they're ALL fabulous.

i meant that 2.3 themes dont have all the features as the 3.0 themes have... mostly its only lockscreen with some icons. and wallpaper... no backgrounds/individual colors ( settings, dialer, message, calendar , widgets, shortcuts). Themes from emui 3.0 are much more complete .
I've been also using P6 before P7.
And yes I have downloaded and tried all the themes... and for me personaly emui 2.3 themes are really simple...

..... You can use elements of one on top of elements of the others....icons from this, lockscreen from that, even as you stay on your preferred 3.0.
Everyone has different tastes.
-by the way, there are P6 themes in there that are pretty darn complex...
... And there's plenty of Mate 7 themes in there....

Oh I already registered a long time ago and I've downloaded multiple themes from the website before. It's just that recently every theme seems to need MiCredits which I have no access to (even if they are supposed to be free), so the only themes I am ever able to download are the ones liked to external websites (mediafire for example). So what should I do?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the way you should do it, not to mention it's easier for you and better for them. Well, better for them is debatable. Now that they have a dedicated English forum, it probably is. Before, I would just post random things like "this theme cured my dog's blindness" or "this theme turns green and stinks after a week" because (a) the forums were primarily non-English and (b) I'm an idiot.
But yeah, just post a comment like "it's awesome" and you get a point. Then download your next theme. May I suggest two spots for awesome themes:
The first is an XDA thread. Ivant is always porting amazing themes so for the best of the best of the best, check here:
What does your MIUI look like?
The second is the DroidViews website. Rakesh has awesome stuff too and the best part is that he translates the themes so they're in English (assuming that matters).
Droidviews
My main point though is to just post comments on the MIUI site. Don't waste time with random accounts. I use my XIAOMI account for many things so having one single account is helpful.
EDIT: I just re-read this and I am referring to the points used to download off of the MIUI forums site. MiCredits, as far as I know, are not available to users outside of China. I don't know of any way to buy them as a US resident at least. They are probably opening that up, but I have no idea how to do it right now. If I could read Chinese I could probably set up an Alipay account, but that's doubtful. So, for themes that require actual MiCredits (it'll say 2 Mi dollar) - I do not believe you can buy them.

[GUIDE][MIUI] Bypassing 2014 theme policy.

For those that might not know, starting 2014 FREE MIUI themes can't be applied anymore. MTZ files shared in communities like this will not work, however with the help of a couple of apps developed here in XDA it is still possible to ignore the policy.
Before posting this small guide I would like to know if it goes against the rules; I'm going to try to contact a mod before continuing. It's something I discovered by mere chance a couple of days ago and I want to share. MIUI is a great ROM, I have been using it for more than a month but without being able to customize it it really doesn't excel in any way.
--- Edit ---
I have been given the thumbs up by a mod so I'm going to post the guide.

Also, I'm not signed in my Xiaomi account. I do not know if this is relevant or not.
1. Install Xposed Framework (Thread Link), (Download Link). I'm currently running app version 2.4.1
2. Install WSM Tools (Thread Link), DO NOT LET IT INSTALL THE FRAMEWORK; we already have it. (Note: Installing the framework from within WSM Tools caused a bootloop for me). I used app version 2.1.5
3. Use WSM Tools only to download the module named Mi-Tools; download module version 1.8 (THIS IS IMPORTANT).
Be aware that you will need to reboot your phone a couple of times during the installation of the apps. Pay attention when you are required to do so. After this you should be able to import MTZ files from the SD card and no authorization will be required to apply themes.
These are the steps that worked for me, now I'm able to customize my ROM again.
New MIUI Theme Policy
http://en.miui.com/thread-11723-1-1.html
nahh.. im sure it is against the rule.
Some things you might want to know
1. Sharing your themes: Can I share my themes on the forums or websites in the future?
Designers are free to continue to share their themes on the forums or websites they choose as long as they upload their designs to designer.xiaomi.com. For the the themes you’ve already shared on the forum, please upload them to designer.xiaomi.com as well. After the review of MIUI Themes Team, your themes will be available in MIUI Themes Store. We are initializing this procedure to protect designer’s design and copyright issues.
2. How about tweaking or slightly modifying themes for personal use?
Tweaking or slight modifications to existing themes for personal use (e.g. changing icons etc.) are also allowed as long as you register a designer account at designer.xiaomi.com. You can act as a designer and tweak as you please without uploading to the public.
What if you want to share your theme with your family and friends? No worries, each designer can have 10 beta team members, which means a designer can share his theme with 10 people without uploading it to MIUI Themes Store. The first 10 people who import the designer’s theme get the permission to use this theme for free. Please note that the phone of beta team members must be connected to WiFi whiling importing the theme.
However, if you want to share it to more users, designers will then need to upload the theme to the public. This is done so again to protect designer’s copyright. It is to ensure that the copyrights of existing themes are not abused. For example, if the tweaked theme was unintentionally released to the public (I pass it to a friend because he liked the theme and he pass its on etc), it would discredit the original designer.
3. Previewing themes: How can I preview my theme?
Designers are allowed to preview their themes without uploading and posting it publicly. To preview, designers must setup an account in designer.xiaomi.com and then can preview their themes privately.
4. MIUI Theme Editor
MIUI Theme Editor acts as an alternative tool to what other tools designers are using. Theme Editor is not mandatory. It is a tool to further enhance the designer as it simplifies steps and procedures and feed themes to your phone in a much simpler method.

I'm aware of the policy, I have read it. The problem with the policy is that FREE themes, the ones from the official page (http://en.miui.com/thread-8880-1-1.html) cannot be applied anymore. Editing themes is worthless now because to get a designer account, you need to submit:
* ID Card number.
* ID Photo.
* Permanent address.
* Bank statement.
Those are very sensitive information submitted to the MIUI staff, and you need to get reviewed and approved.
Great contribution to the community.
I've been using since my first Miui Galaxy S and is generally the rom that I like.
Recently without the possibility to enjoy the themes he had lost all the charm and now thanks to this we can again enjoy Miui as it deserves.
Thank you very much.

no, its not as hard as you think. I've registered to the designer.xiaomi.com, and those steps is not as complicated as you think.
The ID card photo is you can put any photo, as long as it is your face, any images would be fine. But what you meant by the ID number? the ID number is the MIUI Forum ID. You can get it when you joined the forum, and it is for free.
There is a reason why they created that policy, it is for avoid duplication, kang, stolen, misuse, for MIUI themes.

you can still enjoy the theme as many and as long as you like. Same as before. But the developer of the theme need to upload his/her work to the market, thats all. And it is very easy. And we or even me, as the designer/developer, it will be our responsibility to follow the rule. It for the user's own good. As the policy stated, only the theme that is in build or testing progress which is no need to upload to the market, but only will be authorized for 10 people/friends. If they want more, then he/her needed to opload to the market.
Sharing an alternative way to apply a .mtz file does not go against any policy

I wonder why I got bootloop when I tried to install the framework from WSM.
Running MIUI on my Kindle Fire (Gen 1 - Otter), when I install either Xposed Framework or WFS Tools Framework, both give me bootloops, unfortunately. I even tried them independent of one another with the same result.

Not really, I was running MIUI V5 4.1.17 at the time. Before updating to that version I was running 4.1.3 with JBX-Kernel Hybrid, however I did a dirty flash.
I have an Hongmi Red Rice WCDMA with MIUI v5 JHBCNAL5.0, I wanted to install 'MIUIv5_MiroEx_v2.4.0_MiuiV5' icons and everything went ok!
Thanks a lot!

Thank you so very much for this treasure!
The new theming policy is the worst decision ever made!
Quick question.. Does this work if you are just using the MI Launcher?

Latest 1.9.2 Mi-Tools can be used as well to bypass the theme authorization. Which has by the way new notification badges.
The op seems to force using version 1.8.
It works even if you have the xiaomi account active. I wouldn't mind registering at the theme designer site, yet the site won't open.. So  I break their policy!
thanks thanks thanks!!!
thanks so much you genius!!!should i update this coming friday or no?

Android N Preview 4 Fonts (Including new Emoji) as CM13 Theme (No root required)

This theme allows you to have the fonts from the Android N Preview 3 including the emoji! As long as you are using the newest Google keyboard you should be able to both see and send all the new emoji including long holding on the people to change their skin tone. I will do my best to keep this updated when there are new emoji added if it's possible for me to do so. This will only work with Cyanogen OS 13 or later or a rom that supports the Cyanogen Theme Engine. Feel free to try it on older versions but people have told me it doesn't work for them. This will work on stock locked devices that have Cyanogen OS 13 or later on them no root is required to use it on those devices.
You can find a list of all the emoji this font supports HERE.

Git for the original Theme project I used (includes compile instructions): Cyanogen Theme Template Source
Change Log:
7/3/2016: Updated to Android N Preview 4.
6/10/2016 - Updated to use the fonts from the Android N Preview 3. Note: I'm not actually sure if anything changed with this but I wanted to do it anyways just in case. If you're using the Google Keyboard as far as I know you can send almost all the new emoji as they are listed please feel free to tell me which ones are missing from they keyboard if I am wrong.
All credit goes to whoever made the theme template and Google for the fonts.
Bugs: For some reason a few of the emoji are displayed as their black and white versions some of which are duplicates I'm not really sure what causes this and since I'm not actually modifying anything on the system I have no way to correct it. These include but are not limited to the writing hand, pointing up finger with thumb in, hard hat man (duplicate), skull (duplicate), Umbrella without rain, thunderstorm cloud, umbrella on beach, snowman with snow, meteor, skier, basketball guy, random box, letter (duplicate), short pencil, pen tip, a few others I'm too lazy to list but that no one cares about.
Missing Emoji: For some reason the shaking hands emoji seems to be missing. There could be more if there are post them in this thread and I'll add them to the list.
Old Post text:
So this is the second time that Google has updated the color emoji font on Android recently and I was wondering if there is a way to create a theme that simply replaces the color emoji font with the new one so that you can have the new emoji on the device and view them without having to actually flash anything or even be rooted (since themes work on both CyanogenMod and Cyanogen OS devices without root). Someone posted this flashable zip here however, I don't think we really need to actually include all those files unless they were updated to include emoji I think the main emoji font is in NotoColorEmoji you may have to edit the fallback files or something but I'm not sure. I know that other people have replaced some fonts before but I'm not sure if it works with the color emoji font I would think that it would, however. In addition to the standard updated Google Emoji you could create custom emoji packages (ios or whatever you wanted).
After finding a template to create a CM13 theme it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be and I ended up doing it myself I included all the Android N fonts that were in the flashable zip. I have not verified if having different skin tones for emoji works or not I couldn't figure out how to send one with a skin tone to test it. Skin tones work with the latest Google Keyboard installed.
It works in Google keyboard? Because i flashed emojis from N and in Unicode i see emojis but no in keyboard.

I don't know because I only have Cyanogen OS 13 right now you can install it and set the font and if it works it works if not you can just uninstall it easily. Report back with your results.

Sorry to hear that. You might try finding the template and making your own but even then idk that it'll work or not.

It does not recognizes as a theme.
Temasek 6.0.1 - LG G2
will give it a try
I don't plan on making any more versions of this except to update it to newer emoji so if you want to use it you'll have to be on Cyanogen OS 13 or CM13. This was really just for my own personal use but I thought done others would benefit from it. The source is in the op for those that want to make changes and recompile in Android Studio.

This updated keyboard supports that emoji font theme and the skin tone modifiers. This is an official build which is signed by Google so be sure not to be using one of the modded keyboard. http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-keyboard/google-keyboard-5-1-07-122064301-release/

Was able to look through the official Android git and find the updated files for Preview 4's font folder:
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base.git/+/android-n-preview-4/data/fonts/
Direct download to the entire folder (in tar.gz format, so it requires winrar/7zip/etc):
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base.git/+archive/android-n-preview-4/data/fonts.tar.gz
Nice I'll have to look at this when I get time if it's what i need I'll post a new build.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Edit: After downloading that it didn't look like it has all the fonts in it and for sure it didn't have the emoji font I'm it sadly. Although this might mean that the fonts didn't change between builds or they aren't posted I'm not sure how Google's git works.
I updated to preview 4 idk if it's are any different or not however.

Introduction
First of all, I just wanted to say hello to everyone!
And now I can represent you my first EMUI 5 theme originally posted in Honor 8 Pro xdadevelopers forum.
The theme is called "Basic Dark" and isn't completely my work, so let me to explain it.
I had an idea how should my smartphone UI looklike, and I started with one ordinary folder called Basic Dark.
Thanks google I've found themes like Blue Dark EMUI, Lineage Pure Material, OnePlus 5T, Pure Black and Whole Black. Those themes were my structure source for my version of dark EMUI theme.
Background pictures are stock Android N pictures, but just little bit edited (contrast, structure, brightness, etc.).
Color palette/scheme idea is mine but source is materialui.co.
Changelog
My goal isn't still achieved. I want to edit, to make whole, completely dark version of default EMUI 5 theme. That is the reason why are there still in Settings "old" default icons, or same UI font style.
Basic Dark theme is still just in BETA Phase and it's going to be updated once a week (hopefully).
Current theme version is 1.02b.
- 1.0b changelog:
UI-Background & text color
Control panel
Navigation, Notify & Action icons
Lockscreen style
Background & Lockscreen pictures
WhatsApp UI color style
Dialer & Contacts
Messages & Email
Clock
Backup
Sound Recorder
Phone Manager
Gallery & Video Player
HiCare
Theme Manager
Calculator
Memo
Downloads
File Manager (incl. folder icons)
Flashlight
SIM Service
- 1.02b changelog (28.01.2018):
Control panel colors and icons
Settings icons
Navigation icons color
Already successful tested on Honor 6x, Honor 6x Pro, Honor 7x, Honor 8, Honor 8 Pro, Huawei P10, Huawei P10 Lite, Honor V10.
It would be nice if you leave your feedback after testing/using this theme. One short answer with your opinion, suggestions, bug reports, Huawei/Honor model and EMUI version would be helpful informations.

Instructions
For all those, they don't know how to get and apply this theme on their Smartphone (Huawei, Honor) here are short instructions:
1. You have to download the theme and the download link is always in the "Downloads" section (down under "Instructions" section).
2. If the theme as ".zip" file uploaded is, you need 7zip (recommended) or WinZip or WinRAR to extract it as ".hwt" file.
3. If the ".zip" file password protected is, the password is always "xdadevelopers".
4. The ".hwt" file (theme) needs to be copied in "HWThemes" folder in your internal smartphone storage.
5. To apply the theme open "Theme manager" and go to tab "Mine" (there are all your downloaded themes), find the theme, select it and apply.
6. To be sure that all theme changes are applied, restart your smartphone and enjoy your new theme.

Thanks for quick respond!
Well, as I can see, Honor Note 8 is also QHD just like my Honor 8 Pro, just with bigger Display.
I know, it seems to be stupid question to you, but have you extracted the right file, do you have ".hwt" (theme) file in your HWThemes folder?
And Huawei, Honor devices with EMUI 8 are not supported. This theme is just for devices with EMUI 5.* version.

SOLVED: Tried to install an IOS emoji theme and lost all emojis.

Hi!
Stupid is as stupid does. I tried to install an IOS 11 emoji theme wich of course didn't work with the P20 pro and lost all my emojis.
Does anybody know if there is a theme for the P20 pro around wich includes the original emojis?

Are you rooted? When I get a new phone, after rooting it, I always install this app to switch to iOS Emojis: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stevenschoen.emojiswitcher
Only works when rooted though. Works on my L09 just fine.

Thanks for answering.
My first phone without root:laugh:, company phone and kind of expensive so will try to manage without root this time.
I managed to install Oreo emojis with the Huawei Themes app, so it's working ok now. Seems that I lost a couple of emojis, but that's ok:good:.
So problem solved.

Not op, but I just looked into it because I found it interesting (never had a huwei before so I didn't know there's a design option for nonrooted devices).

Hi, sorry for not posting the solution.
Here is how I solved it:
1. Download these apps from playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.deishelon.lab.huaweithememanager&hl=en_US
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixapplications.themeeditor
2. In the app Themes Manager for Huawei / Honor EMUI, go to emojis and download the oreo emojis theme.
3. You have to merge the emojis with the original theme in "EMUI Theme Editor", but this app doesn't fint the stock themes on phone, so download original theme from here:
https://www.themefoxx.com/2018/03/download-huawei-p20-pro-themes-emui-devices.html
When downloaded, unpack and move your theme to this folder: /Huawei/Themes/ with ES file-explorer or your favorite file manager.
4. Open EMUI theme editor and pick the theme you downloaded, press next and choose fonts. Choose import from another theme and choose the oreo emoji theme. Choose next and save the merged theme. Choose it in the theme app on phone.
Now your emojis should be working again, and you can now choose any of the original themes again.
Hope this helps. This is written in a hurry so please excuse any typos...

If you are rooted, no need to search for any hwts or apps. I expect you to be rooted via magisk. If using magisk, then straightaway go to Magisk Manager, downloads and search for a module (just type ios), you will get something ios emojis or something like that. Install and reboot. That should do the work.
