I would suggest you to backup with hisuite before downgrading and restore afterwards. /data partition doesnt need to be wiped but there may be conflicts and the easiest way to get rid of them will be to wipe /data.
Better safe than sorry.

It has the two Language options to choose: Chinese or English, maybe you chose Chinese whithout realizing it. I suggest installing another Recovery and reinstall again CWM Recovery and wait until these options appear in the screen when you enter to the program.

PhilZ Recovery is a CWM Advanced Edition that adds all the features you could ever miss in CWM.

:FAQs:
Q: Wanna know about Aroma File manager?
Visit the aroma file manager main thread for more info---> Aroma file manager main thread
Aroma file manager is a touch file manager which can be used while in recovery. It has options for copy, paste, delete,
change permissions and many others. Also, it has a Terminal inside. So, if you forgot to give correct permissions to any
file you can do that directly from recovery. This file manager has got many themes, font, icons, etc. options and it's UI
is fully customizable.
Q: How to start this File manager in Recovery?
Rename the downloaded file to 'aromafm.zip'.
Create a folder 'aromafm' inside 'Clockworkmod' folder on your sdcard.
Now, move that 'aromafm.zip' file to the 'aromafm' folder.
We're ready now, when you want to use it in recovery just double tap anywhere OR go to "philz Settings" and select
"Aroma File Manager" and it will start up.
If you also want to browse /data, /system and /sd-ext then mount them in the "mounts & storage" option in recovery.
Q: Problems with Aroma file manager startup?
After doble-tapping OR selecting 'Aroma file Manager' option under 'philz settings' if recovery gives error: 'aromafm.zip
not found at /clockworkmod/aromafm' then, wait for 4-5 seconds and again select 'Aroma file Manager', because it maybe
busy mounting sdcard.
If still doesn't work, you've made mistakes in steps mentioned in first post, please do again carefully.
Q: Does your phone every time reboots to recovery?
This happens very rare when you flash the recovery using any bad app or via any wrong (not proper) method. What you can do
is:
-If you've made a backup of your current ROM then just restore only it's "boot" and then select 'reboot to system'.
OR
-You don't have a backup? Then just flash the ROM which you are using currently again and wipe 'dalvik-cache'. Then reboot
to system. Booting process will take time.
NEW: Now you can enjoy the full version of the recovery! Thanks to @Phil3759 for uploading necessary commits for armv6. And, everything is expected to be bug-free. Please report the bug here if you find any.
GALAXY MINI GOES OFFICIAL NOW!!!!!!
You'll now find Galaxy Mini in the officially supported devices list at the Main thread.

You mean, you are always rebooting to recovery and not to your rom?
If so, it is a problem of your device configuration by your device developer because this happens also in Jenkins recovery. This is not a fault of my recovery.
Now, you can restore boot of a backup (if you made any) or you can install your current rom again and wipe dalvik cache and you'll be back normal.
But i have renamed the zip and it does not work. And i tried another ROM but it all ways reboots to recovery.
Can someone else confirm that it always reboot to recovery even after re-installing a rom?

I confirm it. I even flashed another ROM and it still reboots to recovery instead of system.
Aroma FM works, but there is something I noticed: If you tap internal sd or external sd, they are empty, you have to go to storage/sdcard00 to get to your sd card. Can you somehow link the external sd to the sd card?
Thanks everyone for reporting....
I'll try to fix this when I get time...
ast00,
Internal sd and External sd will be empty because they are kept there for devices having two different memories. There should be an option: sdcard directly on the root directory. Please see carefully.
Good news:
My friend @chraso gave me hint about the problem. There was a very small problem with tags, I'll be fixing and making updated recovery today/tomorrow. Will also update recovery sources.
First post updated with newer version, v6.22.1 (18.03.2014) and also made changes so that you can boot into ROM after installing it. Hope it's fixed.
Also added some FAQs.
Please post back the Results after using it.
Please give feedback on swipe-touch. Is right/left swipe working? And please post your opinion on the poll above, whether you like swipe touch or it just makes things complex or you just don't like it.

Is the install successful?
What procedure you follow? This is important, please tell me. Do you use 'wipe to install a new rom'?
Does not work for me either, it reboots to recovery and i noticed that to make aroma work i must first install the zip from recovery and then it works OK .
not that

Bro,
please read FAQs, this is a problem of your device sources. For solution, see FAQs.
After that, please give me broader report.
You di not ask the right question:
Does this work for someone , anyone please confirm.

Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.16 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.124 BETA or newer.
Current rooted FW version: 17.1.A.0.55 or 17.1.A.0.69.
Special features:
SuperSU integrated in system, FULL ROOT!
XZDualRecovery 2.7.124 BETA (CWM & PhilZ Touch & TWRP) pre-installed;
init.d support (read how to enable)
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders!
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
If you are unable to download torrent files directly, have http://zbigz.com/ do it for you!
How to update to 17.1.1.A.0.402:
Files (Find the files on the DevDB Downloads tab!):
For D6502: Download D6502_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip (931MB) and D6502_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf (23MB)
For D6503: Download D6503_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip (912MB) and D6503_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf (22MB)
Save them somewhere you remember;
Put 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
Flash 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402.flashable.zip' in TWRP;
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'D650X_17.1.1.A.0.402_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
The first boot will be slow and after some time at the boot animation you will see Android start optimizing the apps on your phone.
Enjoy!
Known XZDualRecovery Issues:
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.
How to report errors:
Please, before shouting out "It doesn't work!!1!" or "I lost root!" or even "My phone reboots when remounting /system RW!!" try the following:
Restore a .55 or .69 FTF using any means you are familiar with so you can try again.
Root it using any means you are familiar with.
Install XZDualRecovery;
Then try to update again using TWRP.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /sdcard1/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me or attach them to your bug report.
Thank you

If I'm reading this correctly,
The default on first boot with the boot-to-recovery flag set by any recovery is PhilZ Touch Recovery.
In your XZDualRecovery folder in either /cache or /storage/sdcard1 you will find a file called XZDR.prop. Set dr.default.recovery=cwm to dr.default.recovery=twrp to change the default recovery to TWRP. The button choice however takes precedence, so you can always overrule the default!
You can also change back to 'Vanilla CWM' if you wish by changing dr.vanilla.cwm=false to dr.vanilla.cwm=true in the XZDR.prop file.
Init.d support is disabled by default, set dr.enable.initd to true to enable it.
Insecure ramdisk support is disabled by default, set dr.insecure.ramdisk to true to enable it, set to 'power' to boot it by pressing the power button at boot.

Awesome work
Ahh, yes. @[NUT] app is actually in the app drawer, and it's called NDR Utils. The icon is a cute red little devil! The app will let you choose which primary (default?) recovery to use. Also, has a bunch of power menu options.
Now… slightly off topic; will we be seeing a similar XZDR and ROM for the Z2 tablets (particularly the 16GB WiFi/SGP511)?
Again, thanks for the good work, @[NUT]!
Super!!
Fantastic!! Downloading files to downgrade first and then will test this!! Excited and will report back in 3-4 days due to slow bandwidth speeds!
It works! Woohoo!
I'm happy to report that I went through the entire process (downgrade to .55, rooted via Community RootKit, installed dualrecovery, then flashed [NUT]'s files) and I'm on 402 with locked bootloader and everything's working well so far! :good::laugh::highfive:

Which screen do You mean ? Because there's four screens in this image. But is irrelevant which theme You use. This is standard menus.

This message appears in many ROMS after incomplete/not exactly installation. I think (but not sure) that is custom storage problem.
I had this message two times in the past with others ROMS. I always had to reinstall ROM after exactly wiping custom storage.
Another way is to flashing custom storage (original) by Fastboot. It was always resolving this issue for me.
How???

It would Be True ,just Change it to false , save the build.prop and reboot . The Test Version Reminder should be gone

Thanks developer "andromodgod", I went to the editor and changed the position for false and after booting the message dissapeared forever. :good: I recommend using root explorer to give root w-r permissions and make these changes, here is the link

Hm... on my device it work perfectly. Do you updated ROM or clean installed ?
If updated did you wipe dalvik cache and cache by recover?
Did you clean cache by Phone manager ?
If you still have a problem than:
Use Root Explorer and remove/delete MixLol.hwt from rot\system\themes folder and restart and clean cache by Phone manager.
Maybe You have doubled theme "MixLol.hwt" ? One on SD card and the second in system folder because in this version I installed this theme as official (inside system)

Update 11/9/2017
TWRP 3.1.1-1 MM build released.
Current status: BETA
Features:
MTP
ADB
SEANDROID warning fix
TWRP and Kernel built from latest source
Factory Image flashing(see below)
NTFS support
F2FS support >> To be added
TWRP Official APP support
New feature available in TWRP v3 is system image backup and restore and factory image flashing (see TWRP changelog for details)
Basically this means factory images from the official firmware can now be flashed with TWRP instead of ODIN. I have extended this feature to include BOOT, RECOVERY, SYSTEM, CACHE, HIDDEN and RADIO(MODEM) partitions.
This feature can be found under INSTALL >> INSTALL IMAGE >> select image to flash >> select partition.
NOTE: To flash the modem, first it needs to be renamed to modem.bin.img
You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.
Instructions:
Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot.
Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding POWER + HOME.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
NOTE: ON SOME ANDROID 5.1.1/6.0 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.
DOWNLOAD:
twrp_3.1.1-1_sm-a320f_11917
To Root:
Flash the latest SuperSU release with TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133/
To disable forced encryption and mount internal storage:
(Note this MUST be flashed after SuperSU if you intend to root)
1. Boot to Twrp
2. Format Data partition using FORMAT DATA button under Wipe options.
(Note: This will wipe the internal storage)
3. Check DATA is mountable.
4. Install SuperSU (if root is required)
5. Install boot image patch below.
6. Reboot

Thanks.
Blimey can no-one find the time to help out here?
I'd love to test this, but first I have to figure out why flashfire isn't working for me.
It only restarts after 20 seconds or so of white text and black background scrolling down, but no backups are written, only a log.

Thanks, you're the only one to have made the effort!
You can save the recovery log from TWRP if you go to ADVANCED> SAVE RECOVERY LOG or you can boot to android and go to cache>recovery>last_log.
Please don't post the output here, post as a file or save the output on pastebin.com.
Thanks.

No idea what's going on with tiny upload. Clicking the download link just downloads the html data of the web page not the actual file!
Thanks for trying any way.
By the way you can't back up data until you remove encryption.

If the data partition is encrypted then it wont have backed up. The rest of the partitions will have been backed up.
This is the failure you saw when backing up.

OK understood. Data partition is the sd card or the internal memory ? I assume that the encryption exists for security reasons. Is there anyway to backup everything without desactivating it?

[GUIDE] How to Uninstall a Magisk Module (bootloop fix)

For those who encounter a bootloop because of a Magisk Module or got a bootloop during an update because of a module
This will allow you to go and delete that bad module and allowing you to boot back into the OS
What you need:
Recommended TWRP from TWRP 3.3.1-xx Unified Unofficial by mauronofrio
**Official TWRP may not allow you to boot twrp.img**
OOSNativeCallRecording Module seems to be one culprit. Make sure to Uninstall before updating.
If you already have twrp then go to Instructions
If you do not have TWRP and do not want to Install, use this method
Boot to TWRP (for those of us who do not install TWRP)
Does not work with OxygenOS 9.5.3 and below
Make sure to have adb and fastboot files here
1. Download the TWRP image (not Installer) from post above
2. Boot to fastboot
3. Rename TWRP image to twrp.img and move to folder with adb and fastboot files (after you had extracted)
4. Type
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Instructions
1. Boot to TWRP
2. Go to Advanced > File Manager > data > adb > modules
3. click on the folder of the module you want to delete

4. while inside that folder click on the little folder on the bottom right with the check mark on it
5. click Delete
Done... Reboot back to OS without a bootloop
you should add what to do if you can't boot twrp. Happened to me after I removed Google dialer framework. Only thing I could get it to is bootloader. would not let me fastboot TWRp. I got an error every time. I had the flash boot image

It's actually pretty simple, u just have to provide more instructions for people who haven't used twrp. There is no need to flash anything, ik that the uninmod does not work and I thought I tired mm and could not get it working either.
I use MM for TWRP since years and it always worked perfectly.

I got the one to install from the download section but I've never used it I'm not sure how it works
He's right uninmod and stuff like that doesn't work at all now. It's unable to mount magisk.img it seems to be an issue with our twrp.
As for the statement about the issue being dual partitions that's wrong it's has nothing to do with that. I know he mentioned that uninmod and others did not work on op6 as well.. But it did cause I used uninmod on my 6 and 6T. This is an issue with this device only and possibly the twrp we have currently.
You saved my ass today! I updated to 9.5.9 and had bootloops. I forgot to disable my magisk modules :silly:

Duh what you think? Well what I'm getting at is that I deleted all 4 of my magisk mods and fixed the bootloop and then reinstalled all 4 of them and rebooted and everything is fine now. I was asking about should we disable all mods, reboot, update, install magisk, reboot, check root with magisk then reinstall all mods and reboot again?

You prob only need to Uninstall that next time b/c that is one that is causing issues. I do not use and I have multiple Modules that survive update not needing to uninstall all modules.
Thanks. I had problem with pernament bootloop after magisk instalation.
