Great kernel for stock based ROM. Thanks OP. Could you please add double tap to wake and sweep to wake functionality?

Thanks bro, good to see u back! Kernel run's smoothly.
BTW already played around a bit with gamma control; nice to see the colour changing without having to turn screen off!
I came to 235 255 255 rgb for now but I'm kinda curious what settings do u recommend? As u tested this thoroughly

Maybe, but i have to first clean the code for sweep2wake, it's quite messy.

Erm... how about minimum frequency of 192mhz or 270mhz? Would be more battery friendly I guess.

SaberMod Franco.Kernel | AOSP & (CM testing) | r204 | 1 Apr 14 | Sched-dl | Linux 3.4.84 | GCC 4.8.3 -O3
Introduction
As you may already know, LaboDJ is no longer supporting n4 linaro franco. Therefore, I have decided to continue his work but this time with SaberMod toolchain by @sparksco.
Starting from r204, I will only release 1 build for every franco versions. I don't have time to make 3 different builds anymore.
Features:
- Franco r204 with LaboDJ's Linaro fixes and tweaks
- ofast instead of -o3
- Add faux sound support, and faux sound fixes, YES YOU CAN USE FAUX APP!
- Sched-deadline from mainline (jlelli) , taken from Harkness kernel
There is a full explanation of sched-deadline on Harkness thread.
- Sched improvement commits
- Codel net scheduler
- Prima v3.2.7.47
- F2FS support
- Added frandom driver Linux mainline random driver
- a lot more optimization!
Downloads: AOSP | CM (testing, use it at your own risk), credits to @xtrymind for the CM zip file.

What is sched deadline?
Originally by @Synthetic.Nightmare
Not to be confused with the iosched deadline, Sched_deadline is a scheduling class that implements a real-time CPU scheduling algorithm; EDF (Earliest Deadline First), augmented with a bandwidth isolation mechanism (called Constant Bandwidth Server, CBS) that makes it possible to isolate the behaviour of tasks between each other. SCHED_DEADLINE allows the CPU to reserve a portion of the CPU time to a specific application very accurately. A key feature is that it ensures "temporal isolation", which means that the temporal behavior of each task (i.e., its ability to meet its deadlines) is not affected by the behavior of any other task in the system. In other words, even if a task misbehaves, it is not able to exploit larger execution times than the amount it has been allocated. When a task tries to execute more than its budget, it is slowed down, by stopping it until the time instant of its next deadline. When, at that time, it is made runnable again, its budget is refilled and a new deadline is computed.

2. This kernel works on Y or X rom?
A: This is one of the worse questions you can ask on my threads. This is a Nexus, it works on every rom you can possibly imagine.
3. OMG BETTARY SUCKZ, IT DEAD IN 45 MINUTAS, HALP!
A: As you can imagine I don't build kernels to decrease battery life. All the battery life problems come from your apps, either Facebook, or Maps, or some Location Service being enabled etc etc. Check your damn wakelocks and fix them, the kernel is not responsible for them.
4. Touch Control doesn't work in rXXX release, you suckas, fix plixe!
A: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a fix, I can tell you I don't have the solution. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you leave now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I ignore you.
From LaboDJ:
5: Can i switch from your kernel to Franco one anytime I want?
A: Yes, you can do it without flash anything.
6: My phone boots normally then the screen goes off and it reboots
A: Known BUG in DMA, don't let the screen goes off until f.ku color are set.
7: I'm on franco Milestone/nighly #xxx how can I flash your kernel?
A: Clear f.ku app data, then flash my kernel.
8: Can I use f.ku (franco.Kernel Updater) with your Kernel?
A: Yes, you can.

Crdroid is CM based, CM has CAF patches merged, this kernel does not have a CAF version.
Btw, thank you for the great kernel xcstacy.
Been using labodj's linaro franco.kernel since 4.3.. I'm glad you continue his work...
Btw just finish flashing the stock sabermod version of yours...after flashing I encounter 1 reboot...i dont know why is that...but now it works like charm.

support for CAF cm11 rom ? before bashing starts just to let you specificperson know that 194 franco kernel messed up color screen so did faux kernel
The only difference is that everytime there is a newer linux kernel version for branch 3.4.x , LaboDJ always upstream it to the latest linux version. Is there any plans to upstream this kernel to version 3.4.71? Thanks.
Flashed test version on PXS v2 and it's working fine.

I will probably do this later because I don't really see a point updating the kernel specifically to latest 3.4.x linux version when the kernel itself already has patches from various linux branches.
But this doesn't mean that I won't update it to latest 3.4.x, just not now

Q1 low frequencies like 81mhz not sticking
Ans turn on frequency lock in trickstermod
Q2 if you are having random reboots?
Ans lower the max freq to 1512000 and increase the min frequency to 384mhz

It boots but GSM doesn't work (returns error while searching network). Everything else seems fine.
Tested on Beanstalk 4.4.4.001 which is based on CM11. I'll test on CM11 later if it's necessary.

You shouldn't use -Ofast Optimisations.
They do more harm rather than bringing any benefits.

Working flawlessly on Carbon ROM :good:
Performance has increased at least 2x.
Just one issue, GPU overclock does not stick, it resets to 400 after a while. (I use trickster mod)
PS: Doesn't work with PAC ROM.
Also works with Beanstalk( Fastboot flashed the boot.img)

Awesome work dude congratulations
And does this work in new cm11 builds,PaC etc Roms? Or having issues as in furnance?
Thanks in advance
This kernel is just perfect!! One of the best "ram optimized" kernel so far!! Could see a good companion for performance!
But found that the screen wake controls are not working :what: am i going wrong?? Or does it requires a fix??
Can see the screen wake controls in trickster mod but after activating too it dosent seem to work! :/
-The kernel is working like a charm with carbonrom and so expect it to he the best for other roms to unlike furnace kernel had some issue!
-no wifi bug at all!
Awesome work OP!
Pls correct me wid the screen controls!
Thanks in advance and a great job done

I've been waiting for a good custom kernel for my Moto G LTE! (My other phone is a Nexus 5, so I've gotten a bit spoiled by that...) I'm downloading as we speak! Thanks for this!
Works great with AOKP
Thanks a lot, especially for intelli_plug, don't see that often these days...
I'm looking forward to see what you will do in the feature.
Could you maybe try to implement double tap to wake?
What control app do you use?
Regards
Per Regenbogen von meinem Moto G geKANGt.
Any possibility to implement sweep2sleep/sweep2wake/dt2w?
Thank you for your work!

Hopefully no everyting is alright
you you implement Knock knock feature (doubletap on screen to wake device) ? - would be awesome
Version 0.0.3 uploaded.
+ sweep2wake and doubletap2wake added and enabled by default (in my opinion they need a little bit of adjustment, so please reply what you think)
+ some Govenors added
With 0.0.3 max frequency seems to be stuck at 600mhz, tried with fauxclock and trickstermod. Did not have this issue with 0.0.1. Thanks for your work
I forgot I'm running aokp.

I think the lowest frequency (192 mhz) is not usable for my device because it normally creates a stutter when waking up the device. That's how it was on decepticon kernel.
Now the device does not wake up from deep sleep only when I set min frequency to 192. That's on 0.0.2
I'll flash 0.0.3.
Thanks!
Per Regenbogen von meinem Moto G geKANGt.
nice to see fast updates 0.0.3 doesn't boot on kitkat stock rom. will this kernel be available also for stock rom (5.0) in future?

Stockrom currently not supported. I will port this kernel to Lollipop and Stockrom in a while.
New release
Version 0.0.4
finally a working overclocking
Quick wakeup
And as you know more features to come up in a while
Double two to wake is still very imprecise, but the device now wakes up reliably from deep sleep with min frequency set to 192 MHz. AOKP
Per Regenbogen von meinem Moto G geKANGt.
0.0.4 v link seems to be broken
With 0.0.4 the processor seems to be locked at highest frequency
I was trying out Lionheart governor. Maybe he doesn't go well with the unicorn (AOKP).?
Regards
Edit: governor was set back to performance...

* This is my Kernel from osprey (moto g3). this may not have much features as compared to my first kernel release bcz that is for qcom and in exynos i cant do much BUT ill try to maintain main thing which is common. i.e battery life
* osprey: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/orig-development/firekernel-v1-0-mm-6-0-x-roms-t3401538
* This is for single sim exynos galaxy note 3 neo.
* Compatible with all the custom roms.
* Can work for stock rom too but one thing will not work that is USB PC connection bcz i have edited the files for cm so..
* Its still using google GCC, will test uber GCC if that seems stable ill cook and give here.
* Well not much features but but.. ill upstream till 3.4.112 one Day!
* As always i dont own note 3 neo but i like to make stuff for it. Thanks to my testers 3g and 4g both.
It's very nice to see this Kernel coming from our osprey. It's the nice kernel for Osprey. Hope it's smooth & stable like osprey for exynos too
Huge kudos for you to work on 'Exynos' like SoC. Best of luck.
Thank you for your dedicated work brother. Appreciate it, and keep it up ?✌?
Thanks, waiting for N7502 custom ROM
