Too Good!! Better Than DSP!! But Can You put some add-ons on Next version of it?

its a third party app, have created a flash file for installation, hence not in my control.
You can update app on google play if new version arrives.

Bro! I mean that it would be great if you bring "Add-ons" (Kernels + Profile) of Viper in next version of Your Flashable zip!!

[APP] DSP Manager 5.0.2 for Angler

Fellow XDA members, I have made a flashable zip with my favorite dsp app that works with Nexus 6P.
I pulled out some files from CM13 and packed it with dsp 5.0.2 and now I’m going to share it with you.
This will write in /system
This package should work with all roms. No guarantees though, remember to back up your system first.
Working:
Bluetooth dsp
Headphone jack dsp
My setup:
Stock ROM MMB29P
Kernel: Franco r7
Recovery: latest TWRP
SuperSU 2.66
Busybox (might affect install script in recovery)
Do i have to flash it in recovery?

No you do not have to do that if you already aren't using an equaliser such as audio fc or Viper

Did you clear cache?
What is FC:ing? If it is dspmanager.apk then just delete it from /system/priv-app/
Or just restore the backup you made before flashing...
If you didnt and want a clean setup then dirtyflash your current rom
Hope this helped :/
Does it have any negative effect on the battery?
Well, I bit the bullet and flashed it...No FC's, but I can't tell any difference on any of my apps (YouTube, NetFlix, Shuttle+, ect...). My Main audio player is Poweramp, it has it's own EQ that over-rides system EQ's.
I'll mess with it more later and see if I can get it to work?
ROM: Screw'd 2/5/16 build
EX kernel: 1.0.8 build
No other mods (no busybox or Xposed).
UPDATE:
I messed around with it and It's working on a couple of my audio apps, but not YouTube or NetFlix (that I can tell).

Intresting, i only use the dsp for audio apps (actually, only spotify) and i have never thought about the effect in video apps..
Does the equalizers usually work with video apps?

I can't say whether EQ's work with video apps, since the 6P doesn't have one included in the ROM.....But on other phones I've had, yes it does.
I know the Dolby Atmos + Viper mod works system wide, including video apps. But there is somewhat of a slight battery drain - and it works until I use PowerAmp, then it won't work again until I reboot my phone.... I like PowerAmps EQ better and have some presets saved, so will continue using that over any system wide EQ/DSP.
It'd just be nice to have something that works on video (YouTube, Netfilx, ect...)

Viper4Android + Magisk on Nougat

Hi,
Have been using Viper4Android on MM a lot. Now that I have upgraded to Nougat (Open Beta 2), all I get is a valid installation but for some reason it does not process my audio. Please see screenshot.

Uninstall the viper apk..And flash viper4arise zip on twrp..
Thanks, but I am looking for a systemless install.
This has been working and others report it's working (on other devices though).
I wonder if anyone has tried it on a 3T with Nougat.
So is it possible to get it working systemless? Thanks!
You can use viper4rarise with magisk. Safetynet not triggered. But the problem is selinux status. Its always enforcing for some reason. But yi can change it from terminals using setenforce 0 command. Then it works. You need to do it every time after reboot. I tried to make selinux permissive. Bug it triggers safetynet. So im swt with running everytime post reboot

Systemless user here. If you're interested, I've created a Magisk module of ViPER4Android 2.3.4.0, which in my opinion is the best version as it had drivers of different quality you could choose. My Magisk module runs on Super High Quality.
And yes, I'm running it on Nougat/OOS 4.0.2. If you want it on Open Beta, send me the following files:
/system/etc/audio_effects.conf
/system/etc/audio_policy.conf
/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf

Not a problem. Let me know how it goes.
I installed your module. How do I know if it's working properly? I tried changing settings while using google play music but didn't hear any changes. Driver status is enabled but processing shows "no".
Edit: tried listening a podcast and viperfx seems to be working. I can hear changes in sound. How can I get google play music also working?

I forgot about that. At the moment I cannot get streaming via Play Music working with ViPER's FX Compatible Mode set as normal. Only locally stored music played in Play Music will make ViPER work with it.
However, setting ViPER's FX Compatible Mode to Compatible will make it work with both local and streaming music in Google Play Music, along with other audio apps.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Viper works here for everything but Google play music. The files you're modifying don't include the XML files, from experience in Nougat just modifying the conf files didn't make any difference, but I may be wrong (Certainly sounds so). What changes did you make may I ask? Removing deep buffer and raw only makes any difference for me if I modify the XML files in Nougat.

[Module][UPDATED] AirAudio System-Audio Mode

What's good everyone!
I use the AirAudio app and pretty much enjoy streaming my music from services (such as Spotify) to any capable device at home, work or at my friend's house.
Now the module itself hasn't been updated and isn't compatible with the latest version of Magisk (v16), so I went ahead and made it compatible with it.
It'll be attached to this thread, simply download and install it manually.
I'll also try and upload it to the repository.
Note:
I am NOT affiliated with AirAudio.
I'm simply a user like you. I just noticed it's outdated and updated it.
Note for Moderators:
In case the actual AirAudio dev reaches out to you, let me know and feel free to close this thread.
In the meantime, I'd like users to use my updated module to use their app to the full extent.

you have to use both together. This module allows the app to use the "system mode" from the app and get the sound directly internally to send it over the wlan. The other mode from air audio is much worse as it is has to play the sound over the speaker and record it over the microphone.
For me this Magisk package is working wonderful: just installing this module. Afterwards the app from the Playstore and voila: I am able to play music from my phone to most every wifi-based receivers. The app is worth every cent!

There's no UI to it, it just enables the system-mode in AirAudio, yoiu'll have to check the app to see the option.
This module basically re-enables it.
Not working for me
Hello
I have a oneplus 6 running magisk 17.1
The module does not work for me. Airaudio never requests root privileges, is that the problem
Nope, that's why you use this module!
In the AirAudio app > Settings > System Audio button must be green.

Hi everyone,
I am the developer of AirAudio & its Magisk-module.
I will update AirAudio's Magisk-module in the next hours.
Please, simply contact me (the devs in general) about such issues.. just writing here doesn't help the mass

The module should already be up to date now but I can't check it right now because my current device isn't rooted.
One user is reporting it's still not working but this might be related to another issue with Magisk.
Please check if v4+ is available inside Magisk Manager and contact me at [email protected] if you face any issues
I have same issuewith v4: reverting to v2 works.

[Audio] RSSP [Module Magisk]

Removes the stock sound processing for AOSP / LOS / MIUI
This module neutralizes the system files MiSound. apk MIMusicGlobal. apk Music.apk MusicFX.apk AudioFX. apk and all lib files along the path vendor/lib/soundfx and vendor/lib64/soundfx.
P.S. after this procedure, Mi sound enhancement will stop working.
After deleting the module, all files will be active again.
Sorry for this question, but does this module help me to get v4a running?
I get allways the error: Status: Abnormal.
Thank you
On a stock v12.0.3.0 EU ROM, after using this Magisk module, "ViPER4Android FX" (reborn) v2.7.2.1 worked OK, but "ViPER4Android FX Legacy" v4.4 failed -- kept asking for driver install and reboot...
Sadly, I can't wrap my head around the former's UI. Any options?

Just use the newer Viper4Android version. The driver is the same anyway since it is closed source. The developer of the Viper Driver (Viper520) has long been inactive and has no plans of updating it. All updates made are merely to the app and installation process.
Alternatively, I'd consider JamesDSP instead which uses a 64-bit driver and is constantly updated.
As I said, the newer version is unusable for me.

As per your post, the "unusable" aspect is the UI. The newer UI is different from the older UI which is a given, however I think it won't be too much to ask for you to learn the new UI. I'll gladly help you with any issues you have regarding the new UI.

Install a new Viper from the repository. Run it , it will install the driver and the smartphone will restart. Next, in the usual way, delete only the Viper application (do not touch the module) and then install it as a normal application, for example, version 2.7.1.6.
