[Q] Car holder with Original Flip Shell - G 2014 Accessories

Is there a car holder compatible with original Motorola Flip Shell for Moto G 2014?
Most models I found will cover usb & sound (when horizontal), or too weak to use off-road, or put too much pressure in the cover (when vertical), so will damage it. Best would be something grabbing in the corners and leaving the cover in the back (in horizontal).
Magnetic ones can not be used, are incompatible with Moto G sensors.
Any suggestions?
Edit: may be a 3D print model, I have access to a 3D printer....

Hi lampwarez,
I do not have an answer unfortunately, but since a few months have passed I was hoping you found a solution: I am having the same problem.

Desk Stand/Cradle for TMOUSA with audio pass through?

I'm looking for a desk cradle with power AND audio pass-through. I found this one on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/battery-charger...Accessories&hash=item19bddffe09#ht_2302wt_934
..but, sadly it also has:
NOTE: This is the cradle for European HTC Touch HD2/Leo T8585 phone ,UK O2 HD2, and Australia T9193 /TELSTRA . Please make sure your phone is one of these HD2 versions. This cradle will not fit T-Mobile HD2 phone.
Based off my google search, I see size specs as:
T-Mobile HD2: 122x67x11mm / 4.803x2.637x0.433in
HTC HD2: 120.5x67x11mm / 4.744x2.637x0.433in
..or I guess just enough to keep it from fitting and/or cause the plugs not to be aligned correctly.
SO - anyone know of a stand that has both the power & audio on it? Angle adjustment is a plus as well. Until then, playing with my own lego version of a desk mount
Sorry mate couldn't find one myself.
the only i found was dock - charger + data cable (USB out)
http://www.amazon.com/GSI-Quality-D..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1297353414&sr=1-6
Thanks for the reply. Wish I knew why the audio plug was on the bottom unlike every other phone on the market for this exact problem.
Shame the screen doesn't rotate 180 degrees - just use the phone upside down
I like the angle on this one you linked to. Most of the ones I've seen have an angle around 45 degrees, which is a major glare problem for me at work. On the flip side, the picture make it look like the whole phone is being supported by the USB connector with no back support.
Do you own this one?
Have you looked at a T-mobile store? I saw one there for $30. Not sure but it looked like you could plug a jack in while it's in the cradle.
As far as I know the only difference in size between the different versions of the phone is the height. And, your dimension numbers do show this.
This should work with a TMOUS phone, as long as you don't have any cover installed.

I wrote to him (waiting for a reply) to see if there was a reason he has the line about not working with a USA version is in there. I agree, by the #'s, it should be fine unless the plugs don't line up the same.
Trying to find an image or comparison or something now to see if that's the case.

Motorola milestone keyboard sensor problem

Hi everybody!
I am desperate with this problem:
I deassembled my milestone device to change the touch screen and now when the phone is assembled it "thinks" that the keyboard is always open, even when it's closed and i'm stuck at landscape mode.
I deassembled the phone looking for somwthing wrong and couldn't find anything.
Please help searched all the internet with no avail!
I'm having the same issue. There is a metal piece i found that i did not know where it went. I am not sure if that is the piece or not, but certainly is a problem.
Hopefully it help

nope pretty sure we can take the phone apart. just not sure why the phone thinks the keyboard is out when it isn't

Small magnet
Hope it helps someone out there, i replaced the front bezel of my girlfriend's moto milestone(same as droid), and it didn't recongnized when the keyboard was slided in. I looked over the internet and found that some phones work with a magnet to recognize when the keyboard is out or not.
So I checked the old bezel, and found a little magnet on the top of the bezel, near the hole of the speaker. I had to break it to take it out, and put it to the new bezel (that didn't bring the magnet or maybe it fell.. i don't know) and now it works.

Pre Installation Advice.

I am currently running a Car Joying unit in my car, but due to the suspension settings I run and the state of the roads in the UK, I have slowly killed that unit with vibrations over the past eight months.
Before installing the second HU I have purchased to replace that one (Again from Car Joying, Rambo is a good support person) I plan on doing the following :-
Hot glue all connectors inside the unit.
Replace the pig tail WiFi antenna with an external one mounted somewhere.
Install a slim fan inside the unit pushing air down onto the motherboard.
I cant install any type of anti vibration cage for the HU due to the amount of space in the dash, so is there anything else anyone can recommend that will hopefully keep my HU running for a while longer than the first.

[SOLVED] Pebble Time (Steel) - what kind of microswitch is needed?

Hello,
Some time ago I managed to buy a working second-hand "Pebble Time Steel"... well, almost working. The watch succeeded to connect via bluetooth, showed information on screen properly, was responsive. The only things that worked wrong was the almost worn battery and non-working "back" button.
I like PTS, it has some unique functions that modern smartwatches miss... so I decided to repair it and use as my primary watch.
Never mind the battery, the new one is on its way from Aliexpress. The "back" button however is a big challenge. The previous owner tried to repair it, but he didn't succeed. The only goal he managed was to solder out the microswitch and... leave an empty space. So right now I have PTS with a working motherboard and empty space where the microswitch was.
I tried to find out what type of microswitch it is. Hours of searching internet and online catalogues returned poor results. The only switch that is close to the size of the original was Omron B3U-3000P-B, but it is still a bit too big. A bit risky to use it due to the SMD resistor placed close to the switch. The original switch is 3mm in width, 2mm deep and 2mm high.
Can you please help me to find the appropriate model of the switch?
There is also another way... does somebody have a broken "Pebble Time" or "Pebble Time Steel" motherboard to sell? I could use switch to replace it to my PTS board.
Here are some photos:
- The first photo shows the motherboard, the arrow points the empty space
- The second photo shows one of the other switches
- The third photo shows the front of the switch - there is a black micro knob mounted to the golden spring circle
Sorry for the poor sharpness, my phone doesn't have "macro" mode.
Welcome to XDA.
This device dates back to when?
This site may have a plan if you contact them if the watch dates back 6+ years.
Conversely buying a parts queen cheap might work but you better have excellent desoldering/ soldering skills. These pcbs are easily damaged.
Digikey or Mouser Electronics may have something that small. You need to know what type of switch it is ie NC or NO, single pole etc.
No easy task...
OK, I contacted Rebble Discord and they really helped. Just for your information if someone needs it: this is the Panasonic TACT switch of "EVPAV" series. Right now there is only one model available (EVPAVAA1A) that is a bit thinner than the original Pebble one, but I will find a way to solder it properly.
