Asus memo pad 7 K017 won't install system update

So in the beginning of January this year I thought I'd update my tablet since it had been pestering me with the notification so I did update it only problem half way through updating it said "error" ever since then whenever I boot it up it just tries to install the update but always shows "error". I've tried a lot of stuff that I'd used in the past when it broke but nothing works, I've updated the system in the past and it's never broke.

K00b memopad all services stopped/unable to get past android set up screen

Hi, after doing my fire 7, my dad gave me his memopad 7hd k00b ( I believe) to try and "fix" Essentially I think it got rooted, and flashed, but something went wrong. On the start up/set up for android of some description, everything seems to pop up as stopped working, click ok. Everything, I've seen superuser, chrome etc. By clicking OK on all these boxes, You can get to screen 5 of 8, where it asks to set up google account, then you get process.com.google.process.gapps has stopped. To then try and fill in screen 5, you have to click ok to that message, however it then resets the set up and you go back to screen one (select Language etc). I can't get past that.
We're talking last year, early quarter perhaps that this was done, so it's just sat and stewed doing nowt since then.
Is there anyway I can "fix" this?
I wanted to reply to myself to say eventually got it sorted. I used something called SP Flash Tool V3 which, following a guide, allowed me to reflash it, unlock it perhaps, not quite sure, but needless to say allowed me to get access to boot loaders(?) and then flash on a new rom. So I have it back working again. Most replying just in case someone else is searching globally and it comes up.

3T freezes/reboots on setup

My OnePlus 3T gave up the ghost 2 weeks ago. I was running stock everything, unrooted.
One night I had just finished up a Pokemon GO trading session and went to plug in my phone (it was below 10%). I then noticed that the screen was frozen so I rebooted the phone, and then I got stuck in a boot loop.
(In hindsight, I was having connectivity issues with my network carrier (ATT) earlier in the day where I would randomly lose the signal, exclusive to this device)
I did the first sensible thing, I did a factory reset of the phone. During the setup process I can make it through several pages of the setup before the device freezes and shuts down. I then went through the fiasco that is OnePlus customer support. I did a live session this morning where the current ROM was flashed and I still get nothing. Their response is send it in for repair, which I'm guessing will cost more than the phone is worth.
I should note that the Fastboot and Recovery menus function fine. I have not rooted the device.
If anyone has thoughts on whether this is truly a hardware problem, I would appreciate them.
