Short Credit list:
DooMLoRD for assisting in the compilation
Rohan Joshi, Prithvi Raju and Raj Gopi for testing
Cyanogen
ARM
Short Feature list:
Basic Governors(I won't add Ripoffs)
Built using my own GCC 4.9.x Toolchain(with fixes specifically Aimed at Cortex A53 erratas) built across the standards of Google's own Toolchain..
Simple and no fancy stuff..(more does not guarantee it's better)
Uses a simple free and user friendly application called Synapse by @AndreiLux for configuration purposes(slightly adding more functionality)
A few Notes:
Be advised that this kernel is best used "As is" i do want to prohibit the use of scripts that they say "enhances performance and battery" just use the kernel as it is..everything is managed automatically by the kernel and rest assured continuous innovations are en-route.
**Camera might be broke on OLDER CM11 and UNOFFICIAL BUILDS since this is built using the latest source from Cyanogen use this FIX
Compatibility list:
According to testers/users feedback the Kernel works on the FOLLOWING ROMS(tested)
CyanogenMod 11(Stable)
The list will grow as soon as Testers/Users can provide means and ways to make this compatible with everything..

Nice work mate :good:
BTW could have been much better if u could just left cm commits on git
so would have been easier for other devs to track earlier parent commit changes Rather than using : initial dump of Yureka source from CM snapshot 2-13-2015
Anyways no problems .....

Proud to be tester of this kernel..
working amazingly..
charging speed is double than before now..
also smoothness is awesome, thanks bro..
in call battery drain is dramatically reduced from 12% / hr to 6% / h..
will seek for further features..

does it shutdown cores when low usage ???

Not a fan of Custom Kernels, but...
but, yeah, but for the first time 'll be trying this (don't know why but I have this voice inside of me that's compelling me to try this out), hope everything goes well, will edit to share my experiences once I've used it for a couple of days, till then, thanks for this and appreciations for your efforts.

more governors please?
Thanks a lot! I had been waiting for this kind of a custom kernel!
hey, could you add smartassv2 governor to the kernel?
*downloading the kernel as i type*
Cheers!

Flash the updated kernel I have posted, it includes the libs, then flash xcelerate kernel, camera should work.
Op can add those libs.

No UCI support detected !
Damn ! OP enlighten me on this error when I try to open Synapse.
I'm rooted, I have the stock room that came with the cell, the ago had superuser permissions, but still I'm not able to get that app to work. Did a normal flash, booted into recovery, selected the zip that I downloaded and record again.
Googled for the error, found a post in which a guy having Xiaomi had the exact same problem, there you our someone suggested to flash normally, so that's kinda what I did, what m I missing ??

Support for synapse is probably coming in the next builds..as I'm not familiar with the sysfs for the YU yet..I'm building this blind and with @RohanAJoshi only doing the tests for me.. rest assured its stable, fast and battery friendly..
EDIT:
I'm still looking for testers if someone is interested in hitting up to the task well you can find me on Hangouts via [email protected]

I am in pac man rom can i use this kernal?

I saw ur post regarding that, but I may not have mentioned this but I'm not so good in technical side of android. Being a java developer I never bothered about them but for the past few days I'm actually inclined towards learning android development too, say just as an additional hobby, and to my surprise it's Java too.
Now that I have already flashed the kernel, I can be of some use for sure, but conditions apply. I am not available all ( I can update you on a daily basis in between 10-11 pm IST, and on weekends if that's ok with you) the time and someone will have to guide me or provide info on what I'm supposed to do, coz I have no idea what needs to be done while testing a kernel.

[ROM][N4] AOKPK [4.4.4] kitkat daily builds

I'm member of AOKP team and I decided to share my personal builds of AOKP ROM called AOKPK.
AOKPK is unofficial AOKP ROM compiled with SM 4.8.3 toolchain (thanks to Paul Beeler) and with some other stuff.
This ROM was created for my personal needs. If you don't like some major part of it, don't ask to change, just use official AOKP builds. But, If you have some tips for minor patches and features, you can ask for it. Just attach link to github/gerrit.
AOKPK is non-CAF and uses my fork of franco.Kernel with latest linux patches and O3 optimized.
So, what is inside?
All official features from AOKP (https://github.com/AOKP, http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z)
Compiled using SM toolchain (https://github.com/SaberMod)
Included forked franco.Kernel (https://github.com/kecinzer/francoKernel_mako) in-line builded with some added stuff
cLock (aka Chronus) with integration into RomControl
Many usefull cherry picks from AOKP gerrit (http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:open,n,z)
I compile ROM at daily basis so consider it as daily builds.
Few days ago I decided to make "stable" build sometimes, when I got good responses from people.
All builds are available on goo.im (http://goo.im/devs/kecinzer/aokpk/mako) with Goo Manager OTA update compatibility.
Temporarly you can download also here (http://aokpk.no-ip.org/mako/).
I recommand TWRP Recovery and Goo Manager (for recieving OTAs).
Please don't ask about changelog, because I adding cherry picks often and it's very hard to keep trail with it. But I'll try to make changelog for "stable" builds.
And please don't expect much of support, because as it's been told - this ROM is primary dedicated for my own needs.
BTW. I also building for FLO and HAMMERHEAD.
Gapps
I use Banks standard - http://goo.im/devs/BaNkS/GApps/4.4.2
If you like my builds you can buy me a beer by "Donate to me" button .
Donations
mrbackdoor - $25
brandon fry - $20
tehSecret - $20
Gustave17 - $15
hazopoulis - $6
Thank you!
Welcome here !
Running the 19/10 build currently
Do you mind if I will add a mirror for the last build , apparently goo.im is down , replacing servers I guess

the same thing happens to me from time to time and I do exact samething and it also fixes this issue .I personal see it more as an inconvenience than an issue for me anyways. just a little buggy is all ..Hope that helps ur decision ..
Just my feedback:
I'm still getting a FC on Settings->Storage? on the latest build 1020 (gapps, dePRIMA'd, superSU v1.65 and Franco 191 JWR - which is my standard setup)
Although I'm not getting it on the ROM, gapps, superSU and the kernel that comes with ROM, so thats what I'll run.
Anyone else, anyone know why? Apologies if this is what was being covered in the tail of the last thread.
What I find odd is that I've run all the AOKPK ROMs in the past with superSU and Franco 191 JWR without this issue (or at least I think I have) ?

the kernel built in is franco but with prima drivers instead. why do you want stock franco kernel? prima drivers on stock franco is better imho than normal franco. not in terms of speed or anything but in terms of wifi/data/2g/3g/4g whatever.
btw, thank you so much @kecinzer for making a thread. it was hard to keep track of everything in the old one. now i can subscribe to this and monitor it every day! 5stars thread.

Whilst I totally hear what you're saying, I like to run the "stock" Franco, so that I can use the FKU app, comment in his thread and update whenever he releases without waiting for a third party, no offense intended to anyone else.
Franco wrote the kernel and he choose not to include the updated drivers or build with additional tool chain options, so I'd like to run it as the creator intended (and the "god" pun isn't intended).

Great work! Been waiting for MIUI on Xperia V for several months now.
Just a question. If I provided you an optimized and thus really fast CM11 build, would it be possible to rebase MIUI on this? The result would be awesome for sure!

I wanna believe we`re gonna have stable MIUI.
I`ve been jealous of my gf`s mi3 running v6, and now I can do that exactly on my V
Btw, Neo youre gonna give your Neo-Kernel with Intelimm and all? It would definately make the build far more stable.
I guess, Miui should be cleaned of all chinese stuff. I flashed some MIUI ROMS on mi3
and here`s what russian guys decided to delete:
BaiduNetworkLocation.apk
GameCenter.apk
GameCenterSDKService.apk
MzInput2.apk
Userbook.apk
UserbookProvider.apk
VoiceAssist.apk
Mipay.apk
Galaxy4.apk
O2O.apk
HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk
GooglePinyin.apk
PhaseBeam.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapers.apk
NoiseField.apk
MiGameCenterSDKService.apk
GameCenter.apk

I'm afraid I cannot use my CM12 NeoKernel source for CM11, so I'd have to merge all features and this is too time-consuming (for now ).
However, I'm quite tempted to switch to MIUI6 myself - and if I do, I'll create a new, stable NeoKernel for this ROM and CM11 in general. :good:
By the way, this is the CM11 base for the new version.
As my phone is fullly formatted in F2FS, including sdcard and internal storage, I've had a bootloop when flashing this.
Would anyone mind to test if it boots?
Here's the link:
EDIT: Link removed, was not booting.
Thanks in advance ^^

Btw, if you could give me some links or advices on how to build a kernel I`d dedicate hell a lot of time to it. Or if you need something to compile-my machine will perform it`s best.

No need to test, as I'm quite sure that another issue is the reason for the bootloop.
Will need some more work.
If you want to get started with kernel development, it would be best to have a look at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2152819
Then, check out the commits of known custom kernel devs at GutHub and you're good to go. :good:

I am NOT resposible for any damage done to your device, your neighbor, or any other things you like/hate.
Introduction:
This is my first kernel for any Android device. I created it because I want to get the best out of my device. It initially started with some optimizations regarding SaberMod 4.9 compatibility but I tought why not optimize it even more.
About:
This Kernel is based on the official CM12 kernel, therefore it should work with any Rom using the stock CM kernel too (Like Carbon and Liquid). I run it together with Carbon here, all tests I do will also be done using Carbon. The Kernels features will get more with time
Features and Commit History:
Check 2nd Post!
Installation Instruction:
THIS DOES ONLY WORK ON UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!
When you're on CM/a CM based Rom:
Flash the zip file in recovery
When coming from Stock:
Flash the boot.img included in your ROMs zip file using fastboot. Flash a CM based Rom then and flash the Kernel zip file again as the Rom overrides the Kernel.
Download:
Alpha version for SGP611/SGP612/SGP621 with XZDualRecovery Integrated

I placed them in right place. So far so good with my usage.
Great work! Work flawless on SGP611
How come NFC doesn't work?
Can we have f2fs support please?
Also the latest version had only the TWRP instead of the XZ dual recovery, is this intentional?
hello thanks for your efforts with this kernel everything works but the wifi doesnt work, any suggestions regarding this, am using the 621 Lte version on a CM 12.1 nightly rom

V11.1 is coming
Hey folks
After various reports on different devices, we reverted our sound changes for the static noise with headsets. It seemed to cause more issues than it was fixing.
Z3TC specific note: Builds will be hosted on my server (dl.myself5.de) as nos asked me to do. I'll only build the kernel on my build system, nos is responsible for the kernel to work.
Therefore, our changelog for 11.1 is quite small.
Changelog:
Fix sound again by reverting the previous sound fixes
As always, the build progress can be seen here: http://myself5.de:12345/job/M5Kernel All Devices/
Is it possible to include the philz dual recovery instead of the FOTA one since that one has always caused time issues for me. Whenever I boot up the FOTA recovery the time on my tablet resets to 1970
can some1 provide further information on OC/UC and OV/UV, is there a app for it? can the gpu be OCed aswell?

The phone does only have 2 CM custom kernels. Mine and the one from @someone755, my favorite kanging friend [emoji14] (Nah, jk, we're working together on things).
However. You can't flash the phones kernel on the tab, there WILL be issues.
Overclock and Undervolt can be done via Kernel Adiutor (which I recommend BTW). GPU can be overclocked (to 605MHz IIRC), however it can't be undervolted, there never was a port for MSM Kernels to undervolt GPU. Hope that answers your questions.

thx 4 the reply, that made things clear,
is it possible that the 2 kernels you mentioned are also the only ones with OC features?
(sry 4 noob questions i just bough my z3t and i guess i am a little l8)

They are the only Overclockable kernels for usage with CM12.1/CM12.1 based Roms. There are afaik some other kernels for stock based ROMs, like AndroPlus Kernel, which support OCing too. Thats however not important, as you can't flash the Z3C kernels on the Z3TC.

Pretty much, yeah.
You just need someone to muster up the courage, strength, and, most importantly, the nerves of steel to deal with stock kernel sources. And Myself5 has no intention of doing that any time soon, and I've tried with the .264 kernel (that's stock Lollipop) but didn't get very far. (It works pretty well compared to what Androplus' last release was, if I'm honest. Just no MultiROM.)
For some reason these sources are really a pain to get working, which isn't helped in the slightest by the fact that Sony keeps spitting out new phones faster than Alin can update the kernel-copyleft branch. Meaning we don't even get the convenience of pulling our sources from GitHub -- No no no, we have to download a tarball for each individual kernel update. With no logs of what has changed since the last update, not knowing how it might affect performance or the patches we've already applied and made sure work well.
I'll try not to go near stock until the last stock Marshmallow kernel update is out. Then, I'll take the tarball and compile, so I don't have to mess around with figuring out which part of the code got changed. The issue with this approach, however, is the fact that when it does happen, Nougat will already be running on these devices (maybe? -- though if at all, it'll probably be in April, just like with Marshmallow this year, and Lollipop the year before).
Hope you can make heads or tails out of this.
EDIT: How the hell did I get to the Tablet Compact section? @Myself5 pls I can't keep track of all your threads. And to be honest I can barely keep track of my own, single thread. xD
Hi, please can you assist me? what roms are currently available that i can use with this kernel, also i dont get the adding the modules bit in the instructions, im new to kernels.

[ROM][WIP] osprey AOSP 6.0.x

Hello all,
I'm trying to port an AOSP ROM to the osprey, I already made some steps but would need some help from much better skilled devs.
Here is the code: https://github.com/motogaosp
The manifest: https://github.com/motogaosp/android_manifest
At the moment the ROM starts without big problems but there are some errors while booting up.
Feel free to participate, fork the code, send pull request or whatever you think can help the project, the goal would be to have a clean AOSP ROM for our osprey.
Working:
WiFi
Bluetooth
Back camera
Front Camera
Touchscreen
Sensors:
Accelerometer
Light
Magnetic field
Orientation
Proximity
NOT working:
Sound
RIL
Mobile data (LTE/3G)
GPS

is it 100% aosp without any cm patches?
Yes, from CM I use (for the moment) the build scripts part as it has all the stuff needed to include qcom repositories but this does not affect on Android itself.

I don't think it's particularly considered a place holder when the source code and manifest has been posted in search for assistance to get to a user capable produce. Works In Progress are allowed and maybe the current developer finds it moot to release a link publicly that's just going to flood his thread with endless.... ("WTF, Why this no work? U said unfished product, but it have problems, I no approve") ..... yeah stuff like that.
..and the most stupid question is:

Count me in, this is essentially what I've been working on with my build.
With the addition of all RRO commits but for now I'd like clean as well, I'll start forking this weekend. Thanks for this! Big help having other devs bring aosp for our device.
man , count me in ,im happy to help . I can configure the aroma installer for it ?

Honestly I don't think that Aroma installer would be so useful on AOSP ROM btw, feel free to work on it.
If someone wants to give me some more in depth instructions on initiating a build and where to find the proper Dev tree and vendor files for Marshmallow I'd be more than willing to help with development. Since Xenon HD is AOSP base we at least know it's doable. The only bugs with that ROM are that WiFi refuses to turn back on after a soft reboot, and the GPS is damn near inoperable.
I don't know much about building Android per se, but it's something I've been thinking about getting into. I may not be able to be much of a help but I'm certainly willing to learn.

Here's a push to start guys, take your time to read read read. Once you're done these just rifle ROM build questions at Google and check out other devices for an idea on how the structure works.
( Senior member but am still extremely new at building, no public builds just small CM stuff but these guides helped me put a lot together. )

I started from Motorola sources (https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/tree/marshmallow-6.0.0-release-osprey) and then picked some patches from https://github.com/moto8916/android_kernel_motorola_msm8916 to get the kernel booting.
Dude, you are making really quick progress. Yesterday all I saw working was the touchscreen & cameras, now we have WiFi and Bluetooth up and running? At this rate we may have a fully working AOSP ROM in no time, thanks to you!

Introduction
NOTE: This kernel is currently not being updated. I recommend using Franco Kernel instead.
Hello everyone, this is my personal kernel for the OnePlus 6. While I am not a super star kernel developer, I do know my way around it. My philosophy on kernels is pretty simple:
Follow stable Linux always. Updates will be delivered within 24 hours of their release to kernel.org.
Stable kernel rules work best (only add small things when possible).
Security and stability are paramount. Vulnerabilities are patched as soon as they are disclosed.
Features will be added only as needed (I have a list of things in the FAQ I will NOT add, even if requested).
Hopefully you enjoy
Important thread information!
I refuse to acknowledge/respond to bug reports that do not include clear steps to reproduce, a logcat, and a console ramoops (if random rebooting) or a dmesg (any other issues). Follow this guide to do this.
Keep things civil, I do NOT tolerate flaming of any kind.
OT is allowed.
Features
Here are the major features of the kernel (feel free to explore Github)
Up to date with OxygenOS 9.0.2/Open Beta 6
Up to date with the latest stable Linux version (4.9.136)
Up to date with the latest Qualcomm changes (LA.UM.7.3.r1-05900-sdm845.0)
Power efficient workqueues enabled by default
Westwood as the default congestion algorithm
Latest WireGuard snapshot (0.0.20181018)
Sultanxda's boost driver (smooth experience while still staying sane on battery)
The following user facing features:
KCAL color control
Minimum backlight control
Sound control
Wake gestures (thanks to @flar2)
Vibration control
Built with a self compiled Clang 7.0 toolchain with a local initialization sanitizer
Attempts to hide bootloader unlock from SafetyNet (can still fail through other means)
Available to flash with AnyKernel2 (thanks to @osm0sis) [zip will automatically detect when Magisk is installed and patch the kernel so reflashing Magisk becomes unnecessary]
Downloads
Primary: https://github.com/nathanchance/op6/releases
Installation
NOTE: These sets of steps should work for both initial installations and upgrades. All sane kernels on this device are just replacing the kernel image and maybe adding some cmdline parameters, which this kernel won't care about. If there are ANY issues after flashing this kernel over another, be sure to flash the stock boot image for your ROM, TWRP + Magisk if you want them, then the kernel before reporting any issues.
Through TWRP:
See their instructions for further information, you can install the kernel with TWRP temporarily booted or permanently installed.
Boot into TWRP.
Flash the zip (flashing Magisk is not necessary if you already have it installed).
Reboot and enjoy!
Through FK Kernel Manager (requires root):
Download the zip (and optionally, the md5) from my server
Tap on "Manual flasher"
Navigate to Download
Tap on the zip, select Auto-flash, and choose one of the options.
Reboot and enjoy!

Frequently asked questions
1.1 Q: I am having an issue, can you help me?
1.1 A: I am not an amazing kernel developer but I will certainly try my best. First, start by reading the release posts, as I may make note of a particular issue. Also search the thread to see if I have discussed it before. If you see nothing, please provide me with a dmesg/last_kmsg and logcat, your ROM/kernel version, and a detailed description of the issue, following this guide. If I can't reproduce reliably, I'm not going to fix the issue.
1.2 Q: Can you add xyz feature?
1.2 A: If you link me the commits or tell me what kernel you had the feature in, I can take a look at them. I will not go digging super hard for commits and I will ignore requests that don't include this information. I won't promise that I will merge every request but I will always take it into consideration. I will NOT add the following:
Overclocking or underclocking of CPU or GPU
Undervolting
Any governors other than schedutil
Any schedulers other than cfq
Anything that compromises performance
1.3 Q: How do I control the kernel?
1.3 A: I want to be very clear: the kernel does NOT need to be tuned to be useful. Most of the improvements are under the hood and don't require any user intervention to take advantage of them. In fact, if you don't know what you are doing, you could degrade the experience.
To control the user visible features of the kernel listed above, I recommend using either @franciscofranco's FK Kernel Manager (which has Flash Kernel support for downloading and automatically flashing the latest kernel zip along with some nice, user friendly ways for tuning the kernel) or @flar2's EX Kernel Manager.
1.4 Q: OMFG MY BATTERY SUXXXX PLS FIX!!!
1.4 A: The kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone.
Thanks to:
OnePlus for the device through their developer program
The various other developers for their patches (specifically @zx2c4 for WireGuard)
@osm0sis for AnyKernel2
@franciscofranco for adding Flash Kernel support to FK Kernel Manager
@phantom146 for the thread banner
All of you guys for viewing the thread
A note about donations
Quite a few people have asked to donate to me in the past and I have turned them down. I am not in this for the money, this is my hobby, something I truly enjoy. If you truly want to donate to something (it is not expected in the slightest), I recommend an entity like the Open Source Initiative, the Free Software Foundation, XDA, or any one of the people I have thanked in the OP. Additionally, you are free to copy any and all of my work; the only thing I request is that you not ask for donations as well (though I can't really enforce this lol). Thank you.
