[Q] Any Moto Display Modifications available? - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Themes and Apps

Just curious if there was any way to customize the Moto Display features? i wish the notifications were in color. also wish i could choose some extra information to show on the screen such as current temp, date, etc.

that seems to be possible with xposed, you can build your own module or post the ideas in the modules forum

[Q] What Apps use the Moto x Motion CoProcessor?

Has anyone found any play store apps that take advantage of the co-processor?

Since when does the moto x have a motion coprocessor? Are you thinking about the iPhone? This phone has coprocessors, but not a motion one as far as I know.

I believe he means the "contextual awareness" core.
Well, this is just a guess since I don't really know how things work in Android under the hood. But I don't think apps would need to be coded specifically to take advantage of such core. My guess is the kernel handles all app requests regarding the sensors and fowards them to the Contextual Core, so as not to unnecessarily wake up the main cores. Again, just a guess. It makes sense to me, at least.
I guess the apps have to wake the main core to run, even with the screen off. But the sensors data should be handled by the contextual core. Just a guess...

I think motion co-processor is the iPhone term, but I knew there was a Moto X analog
one of the two co-processors in the Moto X is designed to show the low-power Active Notifications when the phone moves;

I just didn't know if there were apps that were written to take advantage of it, like Strava has been written to take advantage of the iPhone's.

Is there a way to get ambient display for Moto g 2014 on Cyanogen?

I recently flashed cyanogen mod 12.1 on moto g 2014 and I can't find ambient display. Is there a way to get it on cyanogen cause it was available in the stock ROM and it was very useful feature.
Use nexus experience rom

Speaking of which, I can't seem to find the correct gapps for cm13 on moto g 2014. It just keeps saying " Google play services have stopped ". Can you help me out with that?
I don't use CM atm. I reverted to stock because I was curious about the upcoming official Android 6 rom. Still waiting
You should really check the CM13 thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3245546
I've read something about pico or nano gapps working ok and you'll have to flash it in a particular order. Haven't done it myself, search/ask the thread mentioned.
Good luck.
They enabled it in CM13.
Not exact Ambient Display but you can install ACdisplay app to get somewhat similar experience.

I don't know, @luca020400 said yesterday that ambient display is back,
in the latest build ambient display is working. i am on 20160118 nightly.
Ambient display is working fine
ambient display is added
it was added from jan18 builds in cm13.
I've installed Nexus Experience ROM and ambient display is included in the 'Gestures' setting. It works flawlessly!
Am I the only one to face huge battery drops when Ambient Display is on.? ?
Sent from my Moto G 2014 using Tapatalk
the battery drops are normal because ambient display is supposed to help increased battery life, but not in every single phone. In fact, only OLED and AMOLED screens benefit from this function, since they don't light up every single pixel on the screen in order to show the minimalistic notifications when ambient display is on. Since they simply just don't light up to show blacks, it actually saves battery. On the MOTO G we have a IPS LCD, a backlit pannel, that lights up every single portion of the screen to show the minimalistic ambient display notifications. But the reality is that not having your phone light up every single time it gets a notification (via ambient display or not) is the best choice for battery saving, if that is what you want.
Personally, Since the 20150118 nightly i've been using the ambient display. My phone has great battery life with ambient display on, despite not reaching the 3.5 screen on time some claim to surpass on cm13.

Beginner question

Hello everyone, I'm wanting to buy a stereo for my VW Jetta mk6 2014 and I found this world of stereos with Android and the infinite possibility of doing things. The last cell that I played with roms was a Sony xperia Z1, so I'm pretty out of date with everything new.
First basic question: what is the difference between MTCB and MTCD ?
Second: they are offering me a brand equipment Witson V5808 8 Core, 4gb Ram ... Any reference ?
Third: can I make the button of my steering wheel activate the Google assistant ?
Fourth: what mods do you recommend?
Thanks, love to be back here!
Any help plz?

Wrong forum. This one is for Android Auto head units, not the cheap Chinese ones which run the Android OS.

1) MTCB is older, was replaced by MTCD/MTCE a few years ago.
2) That HU is an MTCD/MTCE PX5 by the look of it. They had good support here at XDA and you can run custom ROMs including Hal9K 3.1 which is brilliant
3) You can with FCC Car Launcher to assign buttons to apps
4) I definitely recommend Hal9K 3.1 ROM and FCC Car Launcher. Between the two it fixes all the HU's shortcomings

Honestly not much difference, software and hardware will be almost identical. Just look for the one that has the features and design you like

Roger that. I'm trying to decide between a similar to the one I mentioned before but 9 inches, very nice without physical buttons, Android 8.0 with PX5 processor 8 cores, 4gb Ram or bring me from outside something similar to Joying 8.1 with the processor also 4gb Ram and 8 cores but Intel, the issue is still not out Roms, but sure is what comes next. Will there be much difference in performance between the Intel and the px5?

Gcam for MI A3 (main cameras working only) !

found this camera mod that is working on mi a3
everything is working mostly so just wanted to share ^_^
config attached below !
(just double tap anywhere in the black area near the shutter button to import)
link to the apk: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11xoQd9JZhcP7TfAHwzJZEG1ygU-WFUCd/view?usp=drivesdk
4 threads of gcam, why no post all in the same thread? More easy to find versions.
