Store never provided receipt, returned and still missing $400 week later - T-Mobile LG G4

I just wanted to vent a bit about my consumer experiences with my local T-Mobile store.
On 6/30, I went in and purchased a LG G4. Upon swiping my credit card, the POS froze which led to me standing around for an hour and a half while the store employees debated allowing me to leave with my purchase. Funds were deducted from my account.
As the POS froze and no reciept was generated, I was advised to go home and call T-Mobile cx support to ask for one to be emailed. This turned into me running into the store several times as there is absolutely no record of my purchase apart from the POS transaction history.
The deciding factor for me to purchase the LG G4 was the promotions that provided things such as free batteries, SD card, and so on. There were a total of two promos I could apply for. The issue? As I never received a receipt, I was ineligible to receive the advertised promotions.
Upset, I returned to the store and inquired about a refund with no restocking fee for my troubles. Another 45 minutes of standing around, the store Mgr told me under no circumstance could I return the device without a restocking fee. I was given a "Purchase Order" as my reciept (another 30 minutes of standing around) and was advised this would work as the "receipt". I was also advised that I could apply for the new promo that started on 7/1.
Another rejection from the Promo deal site as the "purchase order" is not a valid receipt. I'm so fed up by now, I called customer service and was granted a $50 credit on my account to cover the restocking fee and went back in the store to refund the G4.
Well.. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for the refund. My bank advises me that there is no pending transactions (should show by the 3rd business day max). Went back into the store to waste another hour (took my laptop with me this time and found a quiet place to sit and work). I'm currently emailing the store Mgr as asked by today to request a "Help Desk" ticket to be put in to force the refund.
This whole experience has been absolutely awful and I'm stuck not only without the phone I wanted - the promo items advertised but also my $400.
WTF T-Mobile?!

Well.. They are going to wire it directly into my bank account (and if I didn't want to share the info, they would of mailed a prepaid Visa).
In another 3-5 business days, we will see!

You should probably tweet this out to Tmobile CEO on twitter. He is pretty active on there and also include T force(Tmobile twitter team). Once he gets involved I guarantee you would get a resolution in under an hour.

Took me almost 5 weeks to get my refund through T-Mobile. Rep told me it would take about a month. Perhaps you would have similar situation.
Sent from my LG-H811 using XDA Free mobile app

took a month for me to get refund, what in reccomend if you want it faster is to contact tmobile usa on twitter and tell them youj want your money to buy another phone and in like a week in a half you should have it in your bank account, there going to ask for your account# and routing#,best way to do it

Should definitely email john legere or tweet. That is ridiculous.

Should I purchase from AT&T or LetsTalk?

AT&T will charge me $200 for a Tilt. I can sign up for AT&T service and get it for FREE at LetsTalk.com. Is there any reason NOT to purchase at LetsTalk. Do I get the same warranty, 30 day trial, AT&T tech support, swap out if phone goes bad??
If you are buying AT&T service then Yes you will get tech support regardless of where you purchased it from. Did you read online reviews on LetsTalk. I would type in Letstalk reviews and google and read their reputation.
I'm not sure if you'll get the 30 days. Did you read the fine print?
I have purchased phones from let's talk before and was satisfied. There was an argument over whether or not we made a one or two year contract but that was settled. But for the ridiculous price reduction you can get on that site, I would say it is prob worth it. I am pretty sure there is no 30 day trial though...
As of right now, you can also choose to not add a data plan, which is definitely a plus in my opinion.
Hope this helps
Get it from Let's Talk. There is no point in spending more money for the same exact thing. I just bought my Tilt from letstalk about 3 weeks ago. I'm satisfied. The only thing to consider is they charged me taxes (website said to CA and TX residents only) based on it's actual value which came out to be about $37. If you'd like, I can send you a "Refer a Friend" email and it says we should both get $25 from your order.
Also, FYI for anyone else interested. My work is part of the ATT premier and I qualify for a discount. I've added my number and the website did says I was accepted (have to wait 2 billing cycles to verify). Some people were concerned if they bought from Letstalk.com they would not qualify for their works discount. So far for me it looks good.
I've bought phones from letstalk and never had a problem but I never tried to retrun anything.
I did try buying a Tilt from Newegg with AT&T service, AT&T didn't work at my house so I returned it, they refunded me the money for the handset but didn't cancel the account. I found this out when I got my second bill, after 30 days. AT&T was awsome allowing me to pay just what I used and not charging me an ETF but unless you know if it will work where you want it i would stick with the local AT&T store.
I saved a few dollars by buying from Newegg but it could have been a costly mistake.

nexus 7 16gb in UK for £179 at tesco using discount code + youtube playlist+cashback

16gb nexus 7 deal.
Buy this before it gets sold out because of £20 discount for new customers (looks like code seems to work for existing customers too as reported elsewhere) so probably everyone can get 20£ off till tesco rectify the mistake or £10 off for existing customers via tesco direct. Delivery free for collection at store or get it delivered home for a additional charge. price includes 20% VAT by the way.
see discount codes and useful videos for the nexus 7 (including cases, apps, reviews etc) on this youtube playlist for the nexus 7 which is regularly updated with new videos time permitting!
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL07BDA26279B1EAF6&feature=mh_lolz
buy from http://www.tesco.com/direct/asus-go...1.prd?skuId=478-1521?icid=homepage_supp_slot3 but dont forget the discount codes
Hope this gets some here the 20£ off before stocks run out. stock alert came this morning from tesco.
credit for discount codes goes to hotukdeals website but got alerted to tesco stock early today by email from tesco.
Personally verified £10 discount code, the new customers code for £20 needs to be verified by someone else as my wife said she would kill me if i bought another one using a new account for her.
Update: Use cash back websites like quidco and topcashback and you can get extra cash back on your tesco purchase. £20 codes seems to work. But just read elsewhere that the £20 code excludes technology products so risk is transaction might be cancelled by tesco or might stop working for new purchases. Guess few might be lucky till tesco amend their systems to exclude the code.
update 2: Topcashback 3% cashback
£20 discount for order over £150 using this code: TDX-Y7LM
Collect in store next day, so saving £10 delivery too compared to google play store.
179 clubcard points
Total saving £30 over play store (£20 voucher + £10 delivery) plus additional 3% cashback 179 clubcard points
Edit. Please note the codes seem to change often or sometimes don't work. See updated on YouTube playlist and further links and updates on that YouTube playlist.
Worked
Worked for me! Thanks very much :good:

20£ discount works even for existing customers

Dont forget the quidco or topcashback for going to tesco purchase as you get further cash back via these sites! Which makes this deal and even bigger deal.
Thanks for posting this!
update. looks like out of stock now at tesco due to the rush of buyers. but try the codes when it comes back in a few days as it most certainly will.
Cancelled
Well the order I placed earlier has been cancelled by Tesco :crying:
Presumably they didn't want to honour the £20 saving offer.
I had already cancelled my HMV order too
Just my luck. Guess I'll just wait for it to appear in my local Currys.
Edit: Thought I would quickly check Currys website and would you believe it was showing as in stock for home delivery and reservation!
Reserved one and rang them to confirm it wasn't a glitch and it is correct. Picking, mine up in the morning
Jez
I got my delivery confirmation email. Am collecting it tomorrow evening. Looks like from hukd forums there have been 700 confirmed orders and 300 or so orders without it being in stock due to some glitch in their system. Try again when stock comes back. Set up am email alert for stock on their website as i had done a week ago. They emailed me at 0530am today hence ordered before it went out of stock. Any deal that gets posted on hukd soon goes out of stock as many folow that website. Usually many websites crash with referral from hukd as too many buyers try to buy at once. Best of luck when it comes back in stock as it surely will since tesco is UKs biggest retailer
back in stock now, need to register new account to get the £20 code to work as it is already associated with the cancelled order yesterday, hope its not another **** up their end
I just ordered one from Tesco Direct using the £10 off any purchases over £50.
Collect it tomorrow!
They aren't honouring the £20 code any more, comes up with "excluding electricals", £10 off code still works though.
Just ordered myself after cancelling the HMV order.
£175 in total including next day delivery tomorrow, that's using the £10 off code and staff discount, well chuffed :good:
Ordered mine yesterday using £20 off.
Being delivered today at some point.
Whats the £10 off code? I can't for the life of me seem to find it? The £20 off one doesn't seem to work anymore.
Don't bother tesco are worse than google I got this deal yesterday and they cancelled it what a bunch of w...... I rather give my money to google now and stay loyal to them be warned.

Don't think i'm meant to have one of these! :crying:
Just had this from Tesco :
We're sorry, but we're unable to complete your Tesco Direct order #######.
We work hard to make sure we have no problems with our deliveries, but in this case,we got it wrong.
The total refund that will be processed for items affected is £ 174.6
We've already started your refund - it usually takes 3-5 business days for any payment to appear in your account.
So i ordered as it was showing in stock, they took payment straight away and then 3 hours later i get that, not at all happy!

Nexus 4/Google Play rant

So a month ago I ordered a nexus 4 8gb. The next day my friend decided he wanted to sell he's nexus 4 8gb. He said he will sell it to me for 300$ instead of 372$ from the play store. Of course I bought it. I wanted to cancel my order so went on my Google wallet account to cancel it. Surprise it doesn't work. Take note that the phone hasn't shipped yet. I call them and I explain to them that I will like to cancel my order. The lady tells me that my order has been processed and she can't cancel. She than tells me I have to wait until it comes and wen
UPS arrives at my door to return it to the sender. I asked if this was a joke. I never in my life heard of that. If an item hasn't shipped yet isn't it easier to stop it before it leaves ? I didn't make a big story and did what she said. I was charged the 372$. Tracked with UPS and when it was near my house, called UPS and said that I refuse the order and that they may send it back to the sender. Perfect they sent it back. And it arrived back to them the Friday, *02/15/2013 at*9:30. I emailed them to know when they will refund me.
They said : If your package is unopened, Google will issue a refund to the card originally charged within 2 weeks.
I'm OK with that no problem.
2 weeks pass. I call them starting to get annoyed.
Now they changed the 2 weeks to 14 businesses days :banghead:
But in the first email they sent they clearly said 2 weeks if package was unopened.
"Thank you for contacting Google Play Hardware Support.
I understand your concern and frustration with the refund for the returned Nexus 4 device.
If your package is unopened, Google will issue a refund to the card originally charged for the order within 2 weeks.
If your package was opened, your returned device must first be inspected before determining the validity of the refund request. Results of the inspection will generally be available within 14 business days after your device is returned."
I remind you that my nexus 4 didn't even make it to my door. Emailed them and got the same message pasted again. Called them and wanted to talk to a supervisor. They said that 14 working days is their policies blabla and that they can't do anything for me.
I was really annoyed and decided to wait the 14 work days. Which was last Friday. I was supposed to get my refund, or at least it should appear on my Google wallet account, but again nothing.
Emailed them back and this is what they sent me back :
Hello,

First thing is that I always call when I need a customer service instead of sending e-mails. I think you can call them again, and ask why tyou still
haven't get the refund because it's already been 28 days. Call with friendly attitude will help you a lot although I know you are angry and
frustrated. If I'm a customer service support, and I have a customer angry at me for no reason ( since I'm not the one who will issue you a
refund...), I will probably mess up your order again, and make you even more frustrated....This is just my thought.
Good Luck.
I called 2 times and was very polite both times, but it still didn't help.

Then the ugly truth is that you still have to call them until you get your money back because "you want the money back". so you gotta do what you
gotta do....
Yeah, keep calling if you have to. I did the same thing on an RMA and got too busy at work to follow up, but never got my refund after a couple of months. By then I decided I wanted to try the device again, had to call a few times but I got it resolved. Not the same thing as getting a refund though.

If they forewarded to a specialist, then it should be done soon....
I had to RMA my nexus 10 like 5 times so i had like 5 charges on my card for 399$, until it was forwarded to a "specialist" then they took all the charges off....
After my fifth RMA they just refunded my nexus 10... after having one since launch date...
So if you want a refund just keep doing RMA but don't order a new device? just kidding just kidding don't do it, it will not work

I dunno, so far so good with their support for me. I'm in the middle of an RMA for a Nexus 4 because it won't read any SIM cards (hmm perhaps jamming my old nano sized cut up non-sanded SIM into it half way to see if it would work out of curiosity was not a good idea) and I've had to call once, and send a few emails and they've been quick and polite so far.
I work in customer service too and unfortunately things can slip through the cracks. It's sad but when it happens it's very hard to get it back out. Usually when a rep finally is able to resolve your issue after a lot of BS, they'll provide some sort of credit or bonus to make you happy for having to put up with it, because it really isn't your fault. especially if you make it clear you've been very frustrated and inconvenienced. In this case, their response of "we're switching to a new system" sounds plausible. Just keep following up with them, and ask for a supervisor each time you call so some nice heavy duty supervisor notes get left on your ticket as it crawls its way through the system.
That's why I never returned the faulty device back cause after getting RMA device the money that Google holds until I send my faulty device back got expired and my bank put that money back to my account and never sent the faulty one back. Screw up Google

Exactly why I got mine from TMO(obviously have to live in the US to do so). I was able to get my N4 16Gb for less than $200, got lucky and was able to get it on release for TMO. That unit had terrible light bleeding and received my replacement within 2 days of calling it in.
Before anyone says anything about a contract I have been with TMO for over 10 years, I have 3 lines and all have unlimited data 5GB and I pay less than $190 a month after all fees and taxes. So doing an upgrade does not bother me, plus they always help me out when I want a new phone.

Best option to insure old phone back to T-mobile

Good morning,
I just received my Note 4 two days ago, and am getting ready to mail my old G3 back to T-Mobile. Considering this is a 500 dollar phone I'm sending back, I plan on insuring it. My question is this. Are there any options, or is it even worth it, to send the phone via certified mail? I've read horror stories online about T-Mobile losing phones that were sent back due to a Jump upgrade, and then trying to pass the cost onto the customer. I was browsing the USPS website and I could only find options for certified letters, but not packages. Would it even be worth certifying it or would it just be better to get insurance on the item?

Definitely send it certified mail (green and white slip), that way you can track it. You can also add on a return label (green slip), which will be mailed back to you once they have received it.
Insurance wise it shouldn't cost that much...just do it if you can.
Congrats on your new note 4.
Thanks for the quick reply. Even if the certified mail is 20 bucks or so, it's better than T-Mobile throwing the cost of the phone at me when they inevitably lose it.

One quick question. I noticed in your signature you listed T-Mobile @ 107 mb/s. Where were you that you got that at? I'm lucky to pull 20.
Trust me do not send any phones to tmobile especially US mail.. I had a nightmare of a situation which I'm still paying for it to this day.. To make a long story short http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1824833
http://support.t-mobile.com/thread/39106
Insurance means nothing if the item shows up as delivered and tmobile denies even receiving it or the box was empty or the phone isn't as described.

I'm not sure what your options are... but I know I'm handling future transactions via T Mobile stores just to protect myself from the crap that's going on in that T Mobile warehouse in Texas.
Good Luck.

Just talked to my local T-Mobile store and the only option I have is to mail it back. I'll be insuring and certifying it with receipt acknowledgement. I won't be going through this again. Next time I jump I'm doing it in store. The stores have great customer service, it's that damned warehouse in Texas that screws everything up. This return label though is going to York PA. Maybe it won't go to Texas and everything will be good. Regardless, I'm getting a tracking number, it's getting certified, and it's getting insured for the full amount of the phone.

Trust me do not send any phones to tmobile especially US mail.. I had a nightmare of a situation which I'm still paying for it to this day.. To make a long story short http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1824833

Insurance means nothing if the item shows up as delivered and tmobile denies even receiving it or the box was empty or the phone isn't as described.

I had the exact same experience a couple years ago. I returned a Note 2 that I had purchased on the website. When I called a couple weeks later to check on the status I was told that the package was received and that it was empty, that it only contained accessories (and they treated me like a thief in the process). I was told this by many different people at their call center, always with the addition "if we find it, we'll let you know and credit your account". As if you can just "lose" a phone out of its box, it was like partial admission of guilt. After another 2 weeks of being on the edge waiting for some resolution, I finally got my $600+ refund and the explanation that someone in their receiving department "must have been checked it in wrong".
The moral of the story is that you're always taking a risk when you send something back, this is probably true of any online retailer. Insurance and signature confirmation helps to an extent, but you have no control over warehouse staff...after delivery you just have to hope that no "mistakes" are made. Having said that, I ordered my Note 4 online, but I guess i'm a glutton for punishment when there's a $30 coupon involved. They really should allow returns in stores. Just know the risk.

I ran into this when I sent my SGN3 in. I wrapped my phone in additional bubble wrap and packaged in the envelope provided. As the letter provided to me stated I could add additional insurance if I wanted on my own dime. When I went to USPS they told me if I added the insurance IT WOULD CANCEL MY FREE SHIPPING AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR SHIPPING. Even worse the label provided to me wouldn't scan in their system so I could not even receive a receipt of acceptance from them. I sent it out anyways but called Tmobile customer service immediately to make note in their system I had sent it out. I took the time to tell them my ordeal and that's when they dropped on me "in the future/next time" they would reimburse me for that shipping charge by deducting it from my bill, just let them know. Fortunately my phone got to them and I received a text message letting me know we were square.
Also, I don't know about needing to certify it as Delivery Confirmation would get you the details and the insurance covers any lost mail.
*edit*
after reading the horror post of the lost phone, certifying isn't that bad of an idea, see it you can get tmo to reimburse that too. They won't reimburse the insurance but the s/h should be good to go.

Well, good news. I just got my e-mail notification that my EIP plan has been credited the 277 dollars for my Jump Trade-in as well as my bill due amount dropped to reflect the changed EIP amount.

T-Mobile promotional credit

My Google-Fu failed me today.
I went in Nov 1 to pick up my 6T, trading in an original OnePlus One for the $300 credit. After 2 weeks, nothing had happened with regards to said credit on my bill. When I looked at my receipt today, I noticed the trade in value of my One was $0 where it was supposed to be $300, since they evaluated the phone, and approved it in store. The receipt did have the proper model and the serial number on it, so a red flag did go up for me.
Then I tried looking online for anyone in a similar predicament and failed to find a case similar to mine. I went through the call back feature of T-Mobile's website to speak with a rep, which quickly went downhill. She insisted that the store had to mail in the One to a warehouse, who would then evaluate the phone to determine how much credit I was due. The phone was waiting on me to send in, according to her records. Her script, wherever she was, couldn't take into account that the entire transaction occurred in store, she hadn't heard of the OnePlus specific promotion the first week of Nov.
After less specific (Not this OnePlus promotion) searching on trade in credits from T-Mobile, I found the T-Force group on Twitter. After an hour in Chat waiting for a rep, the entire problem was resolved in a matter of minutes. My promotion was re-submitted with the RMA number given at trade in time, approved and an additional credit given for the earlier farce of customer service.
I was giving up on the T-Force ever responding, and had left 2 "reviews" with T-Mobile about the first call, one online and the other through the automated text after the initial call. I got a response just before giving another online rant about the Twitter waiting experience.
TLDR: Don't expect much from the 1st line of T-Mobile customer phone support. Use T-Force Chat on Twitter to resolve problems, just be a bit more patient than I initially was. Pay attention to your receipt details.
Mine is the same way bill came no credit called and they just transferred never said anything and sat on hold for ever.
So confused. You got $300 for your oneplus One?
So the way the promo works is this.
You get credits that day that on the value of the phone. That value is subtracted from $300 dollars, which you get the rest in the way of monthly bill credits over 24 months.
Let's say you trade in a one plus one. It's worth $0. Once the promo kicks in you get ,$12.50 or whatever every month on your account.
Let's say you trade in a Pixel 2 worth $100. They put $100 on your account right then, and then put the remaining $200 on your account in the form of bill credits over 24 months. So like 8.50 a month or whatever the credit will be.
You traded in a one plus one. Which is worth $0. You get none right away. And it can take up to 2 bill periods before your credits start kicking in.
Let's use myself as an example. I traded in an iPhone 6. The trade in value was $36. That $36 went towards taxes, so I only paid 20 something if the 50 something taxes. I will get $263 in monthly credit over the span of 24 months. So it's like $10,xx a month.
You actually did it the best way, as now you will get the most you can over the 24month period since your phone was worth $0. You'll get $12.50 I think it is over 24 months off your bill. Which is stated to be between 1-2 bill cycles before it kicks in.
All of this is explained in the details of the deal when it was going on. You do NOT instantly get $300 on your account for trading in your phone, nor did you trade in a phone worth that amount. You will get that amount, minus the initial worth, over 24 months.
The $300 credit is 12.50 a month for 24 months, yes. What I was told by the representative during the last conversation was the store should have shown the $300 value on the receipt instead of 0. Again, all of the listed phones on the promotion were automatically given the $300 credit over 24 months, according to the rep. Maybe I was being blown off, but I asked that specifically due to a zero value on the end of my receipt. Where I had the most issue was the initial conversation, the rep incorrectly told me that the warehouse would evaluate if my OnePlus One qualified for any credit due to age and condition. The store I traded in at did the evaluation, determined the One was functional and within the trade in parameters, and qualified for the special credit. I had heard and read about people getting the promotion applied within a week, so they could pay the phone off and continue receiving monthly credits. This is what I was waiting for myself.
This thread is to let people in a similar situation know, in my opinion, to skip the representatives from the T-Mobile website, and go straight to the T-Force folks on Twitter chat for actual results.
They specifically say that it can take up to two billing cycle for the credit to show up. I did this with 2 phones on day 1. I am not concerned unless it doesn't show up on the 3rd billing cycle.
I used to do that job with trades. If we or any store rep marked the phone as good no physical or liquid damage and powers on, then that's it and there's no changing it. It doesn't matter if the phone looked like it had been chewed on by rabid aids monkeys or disappeared, once it's approved as a good device, it's a good device and you should have got your credits.
There is no changing the condition at the store level after it's complete and there's def no warehouse that will change that rating for the customer. Now if it indeed is a jacked phone, the store itself gets hit with a loss, not the customer.
The rep probably hit the wrong check box in timo or if they had retail computers still, quick view . They make it easy to do that because of muscle memory of where to click over and over but it should have been caught before the end.
My guess is that you were talking to those completely inept and clueless idiots in the Philippines. Don't EVER deal with those people. ever!
Glad you got it worked out buddy
OMG those clueless agents in the Philippines on a weekend is a nightmare. Don't ever call TMobile on the weekend. You'll go straight to the. And they have absolutely no authority to make any decisions. You'll basically waste your time.

Must have been something else wrong with either your phone or your account. I traded in my old 3T with a scratched screen and got my $300.00 rebate within a couple of days. I have also unlocked my phone and received my unlocking.bin key from OnePlus and am now rocking the international version. Other than having to wait on customer service in the store, for what seemed like an eternetity, I have no issues with tmobiles version of the phone. Exactly as advertised.
They were trying to explain this to me in the store and it still doesn't make sense. I traded in a S8 which they send is worth $190 upfront and 110 in bill credits. What I don't understand (and am waiting for my bill before I say anything) is where did that $190 go? I know some of it went to pay for the taxes ($51) but where's the rest? I get that he was trying to explain what you just did but the rest of the 139 wasn't used to pay for anything. Can you help me understand that part?
I told him I didn't care how it broke down as long as I'm getting $300 back doesn't matter if it's in 1 shot or monthly.

Guys just make sure the discussion does not turn into an off topic rant.
Thanks,
Funk
All of my fun in store was in a suburb of Houston, TX. I saw people online have their credit show up far more quickly than I was experiencing, which started the events posted above. After the phone calls I went through, I went to Twitter. This is where I was told I should have seen the $300 credit on my receipt. The first rep whom I spoke with, and allegedly a supervisor later, told me I had to wait for the warehouse to approve my promotional credit, which didn't seem right. I was prepared to wait the 2 billing cycles if necessary. I just wanted to verify I was getting the monthly credits at some point. I may have come across still upset, which led to the immediate credit on this months bill, or they felt that the error was that egregious during my first interactions. I am impressed that the T-Force rep on Twitter was able to handle my situation so quickly, and I intended to share my opinion here that anyone in a similar situation bypass the phone reps and go online directly to Twitter chat with T-Force.
I traded in a OnePlus One that had been in a case with screen protector its entire usage, removed both that morning. The device was handled and evaluated minimally and determined to meet the requirements. The instore rep told me that the entire $300 credit would be applied in monthly payments, starting with the next cycle (beginning of Dec). I went home with the new 6T and didn't immediately worry about my bill. After 2 weeks had passed, I went through my account, usage, billing, etc and couldn't find anything. I found the RMA number on my receipt and put it in on the trade in page online, which showed the status at waiting for customer to mail phone in. Which was not what should have been showing according to the reps later on with a clue. What I was told was the trade in status should have updated fairly quickly, even if the monthly credits didn't appear as quickly. I don't know if any immediate trade in credit would show up on the account before the next cycle.
I believe the trade in page with RMA number should answer some of the other's questions.

Also, under plan on the My Account page, it now shows the 6T Promotion active on my account.

Out of your $300.00, if there is any money owed on your account, that amount is deducted, plus all sales taxes are also deducted. The rest of the monies are spread out over 2 years as credits. Depending on those aforementioned variables, that will determine how much ones monthly credits are.

The 190 goes toward the balance owed on the phone plus taxes.
You are buying the 6t for 580 + tax. Let's assume tax on your transaction was 60 bucks. 60 dollars out of your 190 credit will cover your taxes. The remaining 130 will apply towards the balance on the phone. The remaining balance will be 450. Your monthly equipment installment plan payment will be 450/24=18.75/month. You will receive a credit every month of 110/24=4.58 every month for 24 months. In total 300 dollars in credits .190 up front and 110 in bill credits.
They just told me trade in for the v30 is 90 bucks. So I get a 90 dollar bill credit then full credits on the device from then on is what I was told
I did the whole "payoff and unlock the phone" via twitter (after trying in store, on tmobile phone, and tmobile chat) a few weeks ago. The rep on twitter told me multiple times that I would still receive 24 monthly credits totaling $300 even though I paid the phone off early. A few days later I received another twitter message from her stating that she was unable to apply the credits over 24 months so instead she would apply a flat $300 credit to my bill. A few days later when I received my next bill there was a credit on it for $300. I'm shocked that she actually did what she said she would.
Just another data point that Twitter support from tmobile is good.

That's good to know they took care of you. I know my rep told me to wait until the payments kicked in before paying it off. Not to mention many here said the same thing. I guess this is what happens. The system doesn't know what to do if you're fully paid off. But it's good to see reps taking care of people by just giving full payments.

I'm not sure what their policy is on that either. The guy in store said if I tried to pay it off early I would lose my bill credits and an online rep confirmed that. On the t-mobile website, it says you can pay off an EIP early and still get your bill credits. The credits would be lost only if you cancelled your service. Which make sense because its a "contract" without being a contract.

He never explained that the remainder would act as a downpayment. If that's how it works, thats fine with me. Will wait until the bill comes to see what this looks like. Thanks
When I bought mine on the first day all I saw on the receipt was $16 for my Nexus 6. A couple of days later I got a text from T-Mobile stating that my promotional value was approved. I have checked online and I am getting the monthly credit.

I got mine on the trade in and add a line and the oneplus 6t is free... T mobile will pay the EIP haven't been billed yet but I traded my oneplus 5t and paid taxes so my credit is 24 something but the EIP will be 19 something will the remaining be credited to the account our to the EIP?
