MIUI 7 for Axon - ZTE Axon Pro

MIUI 7 has been ported to Axon and downloads can be found here, credit the developers of the ports:
http://en.miui.com/download-284.html
Now all we need is root and a custom recovery so we can flash it.

Can you do it with the Axon recovery? It allows you to apply an update from ADB or cache.
I can boot into Android system recovery <3e> for Android 5.1.1 build # A1PV1.0.0B17 by powering off and pressing power and volume up at the same time then releasing when the Android appears. Pressing the volume key down instead takes you to Factory Test Mode. The following options are available in recovery:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs
apply update from cache.

It won't flash the ROM because it isn't signed. Only signed update zips will side load via adb on stock recovery with no root. I scoured Bandai too. 5.1.1 is the problem. Don't think the exploit has been discovered yet.

i dont have my axon yet but has anyone tried this yet ,, i will when i get mine http://www.howto-rootphone.com/how-to-root-zte-axon-pro-tools-download.html , it says its for the ZTE Axon

I'll give it a try now. I know that people on the Note Edge forums have been using this program.
UPDATE: Just tried and the method failed. Took a very long time to tell me that too. It rebooted the phone a few times, but in the end just asked for an email address so they could notify me when they support the phone.

How to root Hisense Sero 7 Lite
***Disclaimer - You accept full responsibility if by using these directions your device explodes, leaves you for another owner, or just decides it doesn't like you anymore. I am not responsible!***

***CREDITS***
I did not create Impactor nor Snappea, Fellow XDA member @microwiz and I just managed to figure out Impactor works to obtain root on this device
ALL credit for Cydia Impactor tool belongs only to its developer Saurik
***************************************************************
Make SURE you have USB DEBUGGING turned on
First it has been advised to go ahead and accept any OTA updates as of the date of this post before attempting to root, one xda member reported that he failed to obtain root until he accepted the updates.
Next, you will need suitable drivers, there is a way to modify the usb.ini file but a much quicker way is to go to www.Snappea.com and install this program on your PC, it is just a program that allows your phone to better interact with your PC but the bonus is that it can install generic drivers (including that much needed ADB driver) for almost any device! Once snappea is installed simply connect your phone to your PC when Snappea prompts you to.
Finally go here:
http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/
Download Impactor and unzip the file, once unzipped simply open the Impactor folder and double click the Impactor Application. This will pop up a box that says Cydia Impactor at top on your screen. You should see a drop down menu that currently says "# drop SuperSU su into /system/xbin/su". Make sure that command is showing in the drop down box and press the start button on the right side.
Once this completes you will just need to download your favorite Superuser or SuperSU app onto your device then update binary and you are rooted!
Good luck!!

i re-read your previous comment about how it just shows the hisense logo...you need to try to factory reset again and again ...hold power and volume down while its powered off for 10 seconds ...if the hisense sign comes up keep holding it down untill you see the screen flash and its off again and release and press it again and repeat it untill you see the green android guy and then power + vol up...for 3-5 seconds untill menu comes up and try to factory reset it..this should still be a option even if you messed up the system files

Hi, getting ready to root the Sero 7 lte and was wondering if there is a custom recovery for it, like the 7 Pro. Also has anyone worked a swap between sdcard and ext sdcard? I worked 1 on another device with the vold.fstab file, but really need a backup Factory ROM in case I mess up.

Thanks for the info. One thing I did notice by accident, is the sero 7 LTE does look and want to install a update.zip. I had 1 that I forgot about on the micro sdcard and when I put it in and turned the tablet on, it kept wanting to install the update. Zip. It ask me several times before I deleted the zip from my micro sdcard. Might be important later.

OK rooted my sero 7 lte , using the guide. Tablet connected to USB and a driver installed but adb didn't recognize device, ran cydia impactor anyhow and pushed su binary file. Ran SuperSu and su file was installed but old 1 so updated binary file. Adb still didn't recognize device. Installed Sweatpea and with it running adb did recognize my device but only while sweetpea was running. Thanks for the root guide. I am on windows 7 32 bit, in case anyone was wondering. Now if we just had a cwm or twrp recovery. Anyone have the adb codes for making a backup with stock recovery? I have it for using twrp.

Snapeea is not installing the proper driver. It will not recognize my HiSense Sero 7 LTE in ADB either. I have edited the install file, and there is nothing with ADB. I've tried forcing the driver, but nothing. Using windows 7 64-bit and USB 2.0 port.

Dont bother, I have tried for a week straight trying to unbrick mine. I did a factory reset and it destroyed my whole filesystem. :/

Also for getting into recovery follow these steps. Turn off. Hold volume down and also power. When Asus pops up release power and keep hold of volume until the bootloader appears. On bootloader go down to boot recovery. When it reboots to an android guy hold volume up and down at the same time. Let go of volume up and do this r over and over until it goes to recovery. The steps are ridiculous but I know it for sure because my last week of trying to fix mine has been hell.

I bricked mine, but I am adventurous so found a method to recover to factory.
I'm not providing links as they are searchable here on XDA.
The steps are:
1) Get the factory image from Asus
2) Get FB Tethered Recovery Launcher
3) boot into fastboot mode
4) Hook up to computer
5) ensure the device is listed with correct drivers
6) Run ADB (from your platform tools, there is a copy in FBRL folder)
8) copy the zip file from Asus to the device (adb push /path/to/local/file /mnt/sdcard/path/to/file)
9) Run launcher from FB recovery
10) Choose T2 option, follow prompts to let it do it's thing
11) You should boot into CWM on the device
12) install from zip and point to the zip file you pushed earlier
13) Follow the prompts, and presto, restored to factory and can root/update etc.
I'd like to say thanks to the good info posted here and in other threads. I got stuck in a boot loop tonight and had no idea if I'd be able to fix it. Here's what I did (combination of this thread and others)
My method requires an micro SD card and an Internet connection
1. Confirm you can boot into fastboot:
---->Reboot into fastboot (droid boot) by powering device off (hold power button down), then holding down volume up while powering on. I released the up button once the screen went blank. It should eventually present options to reboot into droidboot, reboot, update from SD, etc.
2. Download the newest firmware from ASUS
YOU NEED THE WW version most likely (worldwide?)
3. Save this to the root of your SD card
4. rename file to MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip
5. Insert card into tablet.
6. While in droidboot/fastboot Choose the option to update from SD. It reboots and uploads the firmware. I was pleasantly surprised that I got my tablet back so easily.
Hope this helps some other poor soul.
There are other methods, but in simplicity, yours seems to win the match. Thank you very much.

Click on recovery. Inside recovery you'll get a "no command" screen. Hit the center of the volume rocker (it'll take a few tries) and you'll see the update command.

1) try to get in recovery and make factory reset (hint: go to download mode, then reset device and as quickly as possible press vol up + vol down + home to enter recovery)
2) I'm not responsible for any mods which I didn't tested on my build, so that D2Y Indonesian guy maybe didn't tried it out properly or you had some other mod which maybe make problems

[Unbrick] Fix All For Samsung S5 AT&T (SM-G900A) Lollipop 5.1.1

I decided to create this thread for the many who have attempted to downgrade their AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5[and failed]. The many videos and threads that claim the 100% success rate for downgrading all models of the S5 are terribly mistaken.
In the link I'm providing four files to help all, from noobs to intermediate to maybe even advanced users.
*I am not a developer just someone who was persistent enough to have scavenged for these files and figure out the order to use
Steps:
1. Download all files and place under one directory. (make a new folder for these files to be placed in, make them easy to find.)
2. Run Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Moblie_Phones_v1_4_6_0
3. Unzip Odin3_v3.10.7
4. In Odin3_v3.10.7 folder run Odin3_v3.10.7.exe
5. In Odin select options tab and double check the default of Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time (These should be the only selected)
6. In Odin click AP and navigate to G900A_OC4_Stock_Partitions.tar and open (wait 10-30 seconds for Odin to respond and load)
7. Boot phone into Odin download mode (Press Volume down + home + power on) [for convenient reboot take back panel off and dis->re connect battery]
8. Plug in phone. Under ID:COM it should be blue this means the drivers are properly installed and cable is a sync data cable.(Not charge only)
9. Press start. Wait for PASS to show. Press reset. Unplug phone.
10. Phone will reboot to Samsung powered by android logo. (You've won the first battle)
11. Reboot into Odin download. (Take out battery, shove back in with button combo)
12. Unzip G900A_5.1.1_Fix
13. Plug phone back in and flash under AP the files in order, resetting phone into download mode each time. (boot, modem, NON, recovery)
On final boot put back panel back on and wait on the at&t symbol for 2-3 minutes.
I hope this thread is easily found and my instructions are clear enough that I help all who have had my same problem I've fretted over the past 2 days.

DOes this work for unrooted too?
I just got an AT&T s5 came with 5.1.1. and out of the blue it started bootlooping. Could not get into recovery but could get into download mode.
Just found this thread was going to try but now seems to boot. Not sure what happened. I did several battery pulls.
In any case good to know if this works in case it happens again.
Any idea why I would boot loop? Did nothing to the phone other than disable some system apps. But did not try to flash anything

Yes, this method can be used on unrooted s5. I can say this with 100% certainty because mine wasn't rooted.

I don't know why you wouldn't be able to access them. Anyone who clicks the link has access. (You may need to be logged into google.)
Mistake
I screwed up. I thought one of my replies wasn't being posted, didn't see second page.
Now I can't delete this.
I will re-edit this to answer a question.
P.S. sorry for taking so long with answers, I hadn't checked thread in a while.
If urgent you are more than welcome to private message me.
Thank you. This worked for me. I made the mistake of taking the AT&T automatic upgrade to Android 5.1.1 and then trying to downgrade to 4.4.X. and got the Samsung Galaxy S5 splash screen freeze. After too many hours of trying to find a downloadable AT&T Android 5.x version as someone suggested, I came across this post. Thank you again. Once suggestion, I would check sum the downloads so people know what they are getting is legit (I hope these download are . Also the Odin v3.10.7 failed to install on my Windows XP system, but I did have a Odin v3.10.6 that worked fine.
:good:

Once you go through this procedure try going into stock recovery, (same button combo only vol up instead of down) then clear cache and/or factory reset. Then redo the second half(5.1.1 stock partition tar flash)
Looks like this should become a sticky for all us AT&T SM-G900A's stuck around 5.1.1.
I will do this process in the next day or so. I assume no PIT file is needed?
I ready to do this. unlocked and rooted all my phones but this one over the years. . .
QUESTION: I purchased this at 5.1.1 C015 upgrade. Does this method helped attaining root (not mentioned anywhere), or just flashing 5.1.1 stock again? I dont need a flash a ROM already working, although still containing bloatware and major battery drain.

Note 4 stuck in TWRP boot loop after factory reset of CM 12

About a month ago I flashed CM 12 onto my Note 4 with no problem and the phone worked great. However, I have now purchased a new phone to replace my old device and wanted to give my Note 4 to my mom and so I factory reset the device in CM 12. Now the phone is stuck in a TWRP bootloop and I have tried numerous times to access the recovery mode (power + vol. up + home button) but to no avail I cannot access recovery mode on the device.
I have tried flashing the stock ROM using Odin, but it did not work because when attempting to flash the stock all I get is an error (imgur .com/ THOYjjI) [remove the spaces, sorry the photo was taken using my phone as I was using my mom's Windows laptop for Odin and pasted the text into notepad] I am able to access the download mode (power + vol. down + home button)
I have even tried ADB and Fastboot, but I was unable to figure out to properly work the command prompt as well as configure the phone at the same time
I hate to sound desperate, but I have been trying to remedy this problem for about 2 days now and I am getting extremely frustrated at this point as I feel as though I have scoured the internet for any possible answer. Anyone please help I appreciate any input.

I see you are pushing COD6, were you on DOK2 prior to installing CM? If so, you cannot odin cod6, only DOK2 and above.
Alternatively, if twrp is jacked up, can you repush twrp from odin for a fresh recovery?
One more edit....you reset from within cm, correct? Have you tried reseting from twrp? You didn't reset in twrp and wipe the system did you?
I apologize, but could you please "dumb" down what you said...
When I factory reset my Note 4 the device was running Cyanogenmod 12 nightly and I did not think to go to the TWRP recovery before hand and had simply factory reset the phone through Cyanogenmod. The phone is currently stuck in the "teamwin" boot loop and if possible I would like to flash the stock ROM or just at least boot into Cyanogenmod. I believe the phone is bricked at this point and if possible I would like to save it.
If someone could kindly explain in layman's terms and detail how to use ADB and Fastboot to possibly fix the device. I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Do you know what touch wiz base it was on prior to loading CM? If it was the latest 5.1.1 (firmware ending in DOK2), then the firmware 5.0.1 (COD6) that you are trying to Odin will be blocked (security related). If you don't know, I would try DOK2 or EPE3 (6.0.1). Honestly Marshmallow has been great on my device and I left CM to go back to stock touch wiz with Systemless root.
Edit: if you load DOK2 or EPE3, you will be blocked from downgrading.

I can't help here with Samsung devices. I only use ADB with my nexus devices and only Odin with Sammy.

When flashing CM 12 I believe I had the latest version of Marshmallow, but since you are saying that I will blocked that means I cannot flash my phone to stock ROM?
Dok2=lollipop pe3=marshmallow you can't downgrade the bootloader from dok2 to cod6 for security... but you can flash stock dok2 instead... OR the new pe3 mm update throught odin. (you can get these from sammobile) Have you tried pulling your battery reinsert in it and booting into recovery? If that's not working. Into download mode and reflashing twrp with odin?
