There's an option in the toolkit to relock the bootloader, and it should work with your phone.

No. There is another discussion about Kingroot that is supposed to do that, but others have reported problems after using it. You will need to unlock the bootlloader.

Weird, when I click the link to grab the tool it's just another XDA page with no links.
This always happens to me when there is no mirrors and I have to use the XDA link.
Any ideas?

Well, it should take you to another XDA thread, probably well down in the thread. If you go to the top of the first page you should see the links in the first post.

This is all I get when I click XDA links when there are no mirrors. I think it may have something to do with my hosts file.

Go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224020 Follow the instructions here to the letter and you'll have zero chance of failing the unlock process
A word of caution, most users experience failure due to improper Fastboot driver installation. It's more likely you will have to install the fastboot driver manually. So be sure to install them when your phone connected in ADB mode (or when your PC asks you to).
Yes, ESA-XXX is unlockable!

The above specified method is the official one by LG.
But, for some reason it did not work for me. (i am on ESA-XXX V20A)
So, follow this tutorial..
The same tutorial is explained in an easier (noob-friendly) way here.. :good:
After unlocking bootloader, install CWM Touch Recovery 6.0.3.1.. (.img included in the thread itself)
I have tested it myself and it works flawlessly..
Enjoy! :highfive:

The official method worked for me. Incredibly easy to do.
Anyway, the best way to unlock the bootloader is via Ubuntu or similar Linux OS.
No need to install drivers. You only need the Android SDK.
After all android is unix-based, too..

I have a Vivid that has been "abandoned" since I got my GS4. I did like that phone, but didn't do much after rooting (still stock ROM, I believe). I still have my unlock code bin file and would like to get this device up and running again after I get a new battery. Is your utility something that I could use to update my device?

Nope, this tool is an AiO toolkit for many many models, the developer used his standard text when he opened the thread (understandable ). So probably you will be able to unlock the BL, but you won't be able to relock it, as there is no procedure known at the moment.

Very nice program.Thanks.
Nice tool man glad I found this helped me a lot used it to unlock my bootloader after I downgraded and flashed twrp for it thanks man much appreciated
I tried this toolkit and I don't seem to be able to make it work. Other than being unlocked, in the fastboot mode, it says the bootloader version is unknow, that the signing got a "?" and same thing about the secure boot. There is a blue line saying "continue the fastboot process" as if something wasnt completed. If I launch into recovery I get an installation icon then an error.
Thanks for your help.

No need to be ironic.
At first i thought the same as you, but i looked it that excel file that liste the supported devices. The Zenfone 2 is listed in the "requests" section, not in the supported section.
That is why I asked.
please upload video on youtube!
Has anyone used this to Unlock Bootloader, flash TWRP, and Gain Root? Just making sure it works as intended on the latest ZE551ML update (WW_2.20.40.97) before I try it out.
Also, the ADBDriver.msi installer is not working for me. I'm using Windows 10, if that's the problem...?

You can see it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/development/win-zuk-z1-toolkit-0-1-alpha-t3235964
It's a toolkit to do some things with the zuk z1, like rooting, flashing a recovery... Until now I had Breadcrust's TWRP, but if you're okay with it I will add an option to flash your's too.

Is it possible to rehost your CWM on Android File Host as this is a more trusted source than copy.com. Apply for developer status and they'll let you upload if not then I can host it on my account.

Hi javireant,
I'm trying to use your toolkit to install the CWM recovery on my phone, but it gets stuck at <waiting for device> in fastboot mode. I'm using OSX El Captain on a MacBook Pro. Any ideas? I already did the unlock bootloader step first, but that didn't wipe the device. How do I check if the bootloader is actually unlocked?

I know... It happened to me yersterday. It may be that fastboot doesn't work properly on El Capitan. But the recovery has been flashed, you can enter it by turning off the phone, pressing volume up, volume down and power button at the same time. My mac even stopped responding... I will check it and see what I can do, but the flashing works. The only thing that didn't work was the command that reboots your phone into recovery

I'm quite sure that for me, the bootloader unlock didn't work even though it rebooted properly after the procedure. The recovery is still Cyanogen Recovery and rooting with a one-time TWRP boot fails when the boot.img is being pushed with "FAILED (remote: bootimage: incomplete or not signed)". So how do I confirm if the bootloader is unlocked (I'm pretty sure it isn't getting done). I'll look into the shell scripts and try to unlock manually.
UPDATE: Nevermind, OEM Unlock wasn't checked. Doing it again properly now.. Sorry

You should always check when unlocking the bootloader... Tell me if it unlocks it now... If not, copy the whole text in the terminal from the start of the script and send it to me so I can see what's going wrong...
EDIT: We should speak about this on the toolkit thread, not here hahaha i didn't realise

I'll come to your thread once I get over this 10 post limit. I'm still having issues. Let me investigate and I'll get back to you with the results.
