HOW TO FLASH RECOVERIES WITHOUT PC
Hello....android one users..
..I'm going to create a thread regarding how to flash recoveries without PC ...there is a reason...because all Android one users don't have pc...but still they wanna customize their android one with rooting, mods,ROMs,and recoveries..
But first of all they need root access if they wanna try ROMs or they wanna modify their Android one..you might think rooting is smart enough to get rid off??.nay...first and for most you need recovery to flash zips,ROMs n other stuffs so....if you are rooted ur android one and trying to install a custom recovery like philz/cwm/twrp you are at the right place...now let's move to the point why I'm here If u wanna install a custom recovery then u must need a PC ...thanks to flashify a way better than ...others to get rid off..it'll remove the lack ness of PC...while flashing custom recovery ...let me start
REQUIREMENTS
1.you need a android one ofcourse:silly:
2.a great working mind(usually one who know about development)
3.root access on ur android one(go here http://googleweblight.com/?lite_url...087781&sig=APONPFm7Kw2wPs0G348JRevFBtAaEunFmg)
4downloaded files of custom recoveries(philz/twrp)
5.Flashify(root)app.
HOW TO FLASH
Yea.....1st Download those recoveries from below link(whichever you want )
Then extract that downloaded files on your SD_card ..after extraction you can see recovery.IMG file from your extraction ...if there is available then you are doing right... Now goto play store/any other links (google it) and download FLASHIFY (ROOT) application... If u got that all then cool...
Now open flashify app from ur app drawer...then open it...allow root permission it'll asks to root access otherwise it'll won't work at all...then you can see two heads in the app like 1st one flash section and other one backup section..now choose backup 1st and backup ur current recovery.IMG..if u done this then move to flash section and choose Recovery. IMG and choose >choose file then choose where u extracted ur recovery zip and choose recovery.img1 then it'll asks to flash file by normal android way and other if 1st one not works you need to choose 2nd one and tap on flash and tap yup...wait ...wait...yeah..now it says reboot system now if u tap reboot system now" then it'll boot into recovery and now you can confirm that's ..you're in a custom recovery ....there you can flash zips...Roms....and others mods....if you wanna know what are the advantages of custom recoveries then google it...Now u got a custom recovery
HOW TO REMOVE CUSTOM
RECOVRY
Just restore your backed up recovery.IMG from flashify...njoy

(GUIDE)How to get ROOT,WIFI+BT, CWM Recovery, Face unclock + Gapps for ICS BETA

Hey Guys, Just thought I would put together everything in one thread for everyone so you guys can get everything available for ICS beta atm, Most of this is thanks to DoomLord!
Firstly, To have CWM Recovery, Hotboot any kernel. I will explain
1. Download a kernel e.g Doomkernel v19 and hotboot via fast boot
Type in Fastboot boot boot.img
Then boot while repeatly pressing back button/volume rockets to enter recovery.
This will not flash this kernel only boot it so nothing else required
2. Then get into recovery by pressing volume rockers and flash whatever you need, after this reboot your device and thats it
Well it does require you to have PC access everytime you want recovery but it will have to do for now
OR for easier way simply install this CWM installer made by pvyparts which works fine with ics beta rom and don't need PC for it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437840
It could cause issues as this CWM isn't made for this but no issues have been reported as of now.
To Get faceunclock and google apps such as market, gmail:
1. Go to FXP Cm9 thread and download their latest gapps and flash via recovery( use method above for recovery)
To get ROOT access:
1.Flash the superuser fix via recovery ( access recovery via method above)
2. Go to the market and download busybox by Stephen Sterricson and then select any version of busybox and install it. NOW YOU HAVE ROOT
Thanks to Binary, We have WIFI And Bluetooth now too. Go into build.prop via Root explorer, OI file manager (free) or other file explorers:
add these lines into system/build.prop
persist.wifienabled=1
persist.btenabled=1
OR flash the package by Doomlord via recovery ( use method above). Much easier
Now we have everything that is needed Thanks to Binary and Doomlord once more.
Thanks alot .... All what is left for now is the Wifi fix .... doom said bin4ry has a build.prop fix or something anybody found it?
you are so quick mate
have you try using doom on screen button enabler??
I have wifi and root
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
Thanks guys, and ill try and find the wifi thing. If i do ill update the thread
How did you get wifi working mate :O Please share
You can just hot boot doomkernel after installing se boot.img by
Fastboot boot boot.img
Once u restart from recovery it will revert to the original kernel
Sent from here to there.
Thanks updated OP
Hi guys,
I think Bin4ry's fix was that there's a line in build.prop called persist.wifienabled which needs to be set to 1 (true).
I'm backing up my ROM and then I'll try it on my arc, see if it works.
Cheers
EDIT: it works perfectly ;-)
Better flash a package to enabled wifi and bt.
In just 30 mins i got too much pn's about how to edit the file oO ....

this may help?

AWEEEEEEEEESOME .... WIfi and BT works now thanks to doom and bin4ry
you need to:-
1- use any kernel to just boot into CWM
2- flash this package : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...38&postcount=2 .... i deleted the first presist in the package . i don't know if it's necessery or not
3-turn off device
4-flash SE kernel Again (UMAD? SE kernel )
5-Enjoy Wifi And BT and the whole ICS .
6-good luck

Yes its available for Ray... Just need a Hint.. Should I start flashing using Flashtool or something?.. A small guide on How to flash would have been very nice...
How to flash the SE Beta ROM? Urm its linked in the SE thread, heres how to do it though. Its all flashed via fastboot btw. Extract the package to fast boot folder and copy and paste userdata.img, system.img and boot.img to fastboot folder. Then open command prompt and:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash system system.img

awesome work bro:highfive:
Awesome work on bringing the recovery to this device , Although my personal opinion but the AMIGO UI on Gionee devices is crap . this is a step in the right direction to get rid of the proprietary UI & bring on some aosp goodness !!
Finally it is here..
Bought my device yesterday. 4200Mah is the reason i got this device. The stock Amigo UI sucks and i was looking forward to some custom ROMS. thanks for this recovery. Lets get to work and create our first custom AOSP ROM for this great device. :good:

I found it working in my device [4GB Gionee M2]. Actually I flashed it directly via SP Flash tools just by replacing it in the KITKAT stock ROM, even before rooting it.
[Knowing that its size does not exceed the limits of the recovery partition specified in the scatter file]
I found it working, Use it at your own risk.
It may also work with 8GB varients, but not checked by me.
:good: I hope you liked it.

To do so,
Put the extracted contents of clockworkmod.zip (clockworkmod\.aromafm ) into the respective folder of your sd card. This will enable aroma file manager in CTR recovery. File is attached for your ease, & not owned by me. Thanks to the original author of these files.
File manager path on your sd card: \clockworkmod\.aromafm (See the dot), Use PC card reader to extract the files into your sd card.
It needs root permission if you use phone's root file manager to copy & yet can be unsuccessful.
So it is better to use the pc to extract/copy the files to the memory card.
:good: I hope you liked it.

If you were not successful using mobile uncle tools in the phone interface,
Use PC to Flash recovery.img using sp-flash tools. (Please be aware of how to install required drivers etc..)
Select original scatter file of your version of ROM. If You are using stock ROM, Make sure that you have not altered the phone partitioning earlier.
Be careful and Remember to select/tick only 'recovery' in the list. You can also check preloader if you like. and select ONly 'download' button. (NOT firmware upgrade!). Connect your switched off phone to your PC. Wait till your task is complete. Shows tyou a green circle.
It works perfectly.
But Do it at your own risk without blaming anyone in the forum if you encounter any error.
:good: Hope you like it.

Yes it works, however, I rebuilt a newer version of the CTR recovery working fine with my 4GB Gionee M2 KitKat.
It may also work with 8GB varients, but not checked by me.

@ net8
is it working with 32 gb sd card, while i create a recovery image with my new 32gb sandisk ultra microsd, the card gone bad. (formatted in mobile)
do you have CTR new version with zip backup option ?
It works with any microSD so far. Even I am using 32gb microsd from SanDisk class 10 uhs1.
There may be other issue with your device.

[Q] Doubts about Recovery

Hi Guys,
I'm a I8190 user just rooted with vroot and now i need to install custom recovery either CWM or TWRP.
I have some doubts to be cleared before choosing the one among them.
1. Which one is working perfectly/preferred for SIII Mini ?
2.How can i easily install this to my device (without PC is preferred )
3. How can i shift from CWM to TWRP or viseversa after i installed one among them.
Thanks Guys.

1. Both work well, personally I prefer TWRP.
2. If you have stock recovery, you need to use PC for flash custom recovery via Odin or jOdin.
3. From custom recovery you can easily flash zip file with another recovery.

[guide] [complete]how to revert back to full stock to get android m!!

hello android one users
Waiting for android m?
Then here is the full guide to go back to full stock
and to get android m update notification (when it arrives)
and to install android marshmallow without an error
yeah I guess all android one users exploited their android one with bundles of mods/Roms/root/recoveries so now its time to change their mind coz..android marshmallow will hit android one devices from very next week..so all android one users trying to revert back to full stock lmy48m (the lastest build no.)to get android m update on their android one device...So I've decided to create this thread regarding how to go back to full stock lmy48m to receive android m,and to install it without an error.. [/]
REQUIREMENTS:-
1->Android one (of course)
2->A custom recovery must be installed(i recommended to use philz)
3->doesnt matter root is their or not but a custom recovery like philz is must and should
4->Android one 5.1 ota zip
5>Patience(coz it'll take some time)
6>relocked boot loader with android one toolkit
HOW TO REVERT BACK TO FULL STOCK:-
*.yeah if u already downloaded that ota 5.1 zip then dont worry if one who dont have that ota zip (captured) then download it from below links
*.As I already described that to use philz recovery so download it from below link
*.now make sure that u have to keep ota (5.1) zip on ur sdcard/folder and its size is 410mb approx.
*.afterall u need free some of 500mb space on ur phone at least
*.after that its going well. now move to philz recovery. I;e how to get into recovery press and hold power+volume_up button then you'll get a menu there choose recovery mode an it'll take you to philz
*.after get in to philz recovery then 1st choose wipe and format option from menu…there you'll get options like clear cache/dalvik cache/clean to install new rom.
*.after that choose clean to install new rom and wait until its popup as 'Now flash a new rom
*.If u got that popup then fell free and if u wish then clean cache/dalvik from menu also..
*.after clean wipe of ur android one device then choose>go back and choose install zip
*.then choose install from >ext.SD
*.then it'll show you a menu with folders
*.there choose in which folder you have kept the 410 mb ota zip
*.if successfully found ur ota zip then choose it...and flash it
*.so philz shows PATCHING SYSTEM IMAGE UNCONDITIONALLY for minutes
*.after few minutes (5-10minutes) u can c the zip installing with indicator
*.when indicator filled up then you will get a popup as install FROM EXT SD DONE RESULT WAS (OEM)
*.if you get that message then you're doing right.
*.after that keep in mind stock ROMs don't need any custom gapps
*.so head to home menu of philz and hit Reboot system now
*.here is the big point when u tap on reboot it'll asks to apply root on reboot U must need to choose no then automatic reboot will done
*.Patience plz...bcoz 1st boot takes some times(more than ususal)
*.after boot up setup all ur data/accounts/information etc...then goto system update and check for new it'll show's u 5.1.1 update notification then download it and install it /then you'll get another update of 5.1.1 build num.(lmy48k) and install this, again boot up after that you'll get another ota of lmy48m download and install this update also...
*.after lmy48m now you are on full stock and get ready for marshmallow
*.I guess from next week onwards we'll get m ota ...so keep rocking and wait..
*.if you get m ota then download and install that update without an error(1000xsure)

6.after get in to philz recovery then 1st choose wipe and format option from menu…there you'll get options like clear cache/dalvik cache/clean to install new rom.
7.after that choose clean to install new rom and wait until its popup as 'Now flash a new rom
8.If u got that popup then fell free and if u wish then clean cache/dalvik from menu also..
9.after clean wipe of ur android one device then choose>go back and choose install zip
10.then choose install from >ext.SD
11.then it'll show u a menu with folders
12.there choose in which folder u have keeps the 410 mb ota zip
13.if successfully found ur ota zip then choose it...and flash it
14.so philz shows PATCHING SYSTEM IMAGE UNCONDITIONALLY for minutes
15.after few minutes (5-10minutes) u can c the zip installing with indicator
16.when indicator filled up then you will get a popup as install FROM EXT SD DONE RESULT WAS (OEM)
17.if you get that message then you're doing right.

First thing you should be root
If you have any PC or laptop then install android one toolkit the android one toolkit thread is given below and just download it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...oolbox-android-one-toolkit-one-click-t3030165
After installing this if you are not rooted just root your device by simply clicking on root button.
If you are already rooted then just select the recovery which you want like :-
Philz
Cwm
Stock
TWRP
Select the recovery and just click on flash recovery and it will be flashed in minutes.
If you don't have any PC or Laptop then for your ease, download Flasher or flashify from play store and select recovery file and select flash on it.
The custom recovery will be flashed.
I think you should understand what I mean..
Hit thanx if you think that I helped..
