I talked to an at&t rep today and theres some news you need to know. Both the S6 and S6 edge will receive the 6.0.1 marshmallow update on April 4th, 2016. This is true because he checked his information and said that date according to at&t. I hope you are at least a gain from being grumpy about the slow update! Peace out and have fun!

Sweet, days after I get a new phone and switch carriers because by the time anyone from AT&T gets an update it's months old.
Yay! This is probably wrong too.... By the time AT&T releases the update, I will already have a Nexus phone!

Samsung already released the 6.0 update awhile back. It's AT&T who is not releasing anything.
Yeah... I'll just check until it allows me to download an update, it was the 14, then 15, now you speculate the 4th.
Don't believe what their reps say anymore.

I've only heard April 20th.
I really wonder how much they will charge US off contract. I am currently on contract with them and i will be upgrading as soon as the phone comes out and would like to know just how much i will have to put out upfront.

Im with you on that.. Im hoping that with the OPTIMUS 3D coming out real soon it will help the 2X stay at a reasonable price.. I bought the HD2 off contract for $449.. I wouldnt spend more than that for this phone..
I believe this phone off contract will probably be around $500.
The way i look at it, i will just renew my contract with tmobile and NOT pay the full price and hopefully if AT&T buys them then i can cancel my contract and hopefully NOT pay and penalty

My boss was having problems with one if his phones. The CSR offered him an upgrade and said wait until the 6th. She said there are 3 phone going to be released that day and the g2x is one of them. I read there is a nokia to be released that day, maybe the other is the sidekick?
The second source was someone else who also was told by a CSR rep.
I doubt we see this phone on 4/6. If we do then somebody in T Mobile USA marketing dropped the ball.

The Nokia Astound was announced for April 6th. The CSR is confused about the g2x. No way it would come out in a week when there has been no advertising, nor a price.

Astound, Sidekick and G2X? Would they even release 2 high end phones on the same day?

that CSR is wrong as of right now the G2X is set for April 20th check out Tmonews. On April 20th 3 things are set to come out as of right now. The Sidekick 4G, G2X, and the G-Slate. I am a RSA and T-Mobile would of let the stores known if it was April 6th. We already have the new Nokia phone at my store for April 6th. So that CSR must of been thinking about the 20th when he was telling you what he told u.

I would not bank on that with this device, as it will work on AT&T - no out here.
Other devices, like MT4G will no work on #G/Hspa+ if they drop TMo bands - that would be a contract out.
I heard it'll be from $450-500

Sprint released Marshmallow for both S5 and S5 active at the same time, so there is a hope that AT&T will do so :angel::angel::angel:
P/s: S6 of AT&T is even lagging behind S5 of Sprint, AT&T sucks.

I have the latest june update and VoLTE does not work. I even work at sprint as a technician. VoLTE is broken.

Hello ....SPCS User for A Long time here ... unfortunately VolTE does not work on android PIE.
I had to make a choice Go back to Android 8.0 and hack it to enable VoLte or use latest and greatest Android PIE.. I chose functionality over pretties so im back on 8.0.
There is a thread on XDA with the files to go back please note this is for the SM-N-960U1.
I have oreo running and i did the VOLTE hack. When in call however i keep losing packets. Its really hard to have a conversation on this $1000 computer. Either my voice cuts for long periods of time or their's does. The hack isnt super functional. Essentially its half a Voip phone/ computer. How the heck does sprint skip out on core functionality on a flagship device?
Can any sprint users confirm if VOLTE is in the july patch? If not im sticking with Oreo.
I'm on sprint.... but I'm using an unlocked phone..as of the latest update no..no volte setting and no way to hack around to achieve it...

Yeah I know, I had the Note9 and got the last August update with no VoLTE. I was just saying that the Note10+ on Sprint has VoLTE is all.

Finally Sprint has released Pie! I layed down for a nap today (needed one especially after the Holidays), get up and notice my phone stating there is an OS update. I am now running Pie but what's funny is my wife and I switched to Verizon today, we're waiting for our new phones to be shipped to us before we quit Sprint.
I loved my V40 but it was both LG and Sprint that made us switch. The update service is total garbage. I would get monthly security updates once every 2-3 months and not getting Pie on a flagship phone only until like a year later is garbage. My wife and I literally have no service on Sprint in our new area and rely on wifi for everything on our phones. Now I wait a few days to get my new Galaxy S10+. No more LG and no more Sprint.
Welp it's time to say goodbye to the LG V40 forums and hello to S10+. Got my new S10+ today and switched to Verizon.
